AntiHindu PETA

The BJP govt at the Centre is commonly referred to (sometimes in a derogatotry tone) as a Hindutva govt. I cannot recall a single law or policy by this govt that would indicate it’s Hindutva in anyway. In contrast, when Commies come to power they make their agenda quite clear. In Kerala the Commie CM wants to kill or subdue Hindus and take over temple properties. Commie Mamata has gone to the extent of changing “Ram” to “Rong” in Ramdhenu and feeds kids such garbage. A Samajwadi Party goon declares UP is only for Muslims and Yadavs, thereby treating all other Hindus as aliens. All this passes as Sickular crap in the media and among Commie Pigs. ModiSarkar has not even dared to modify the horrendous anti-Hindu RTE law. The Congress, when it came to power in 2004, first repealed the POTA to appease Muslims.

Subramaniam Swamy repeatedly points out that development alone is not enough. And I agree with him. ModiSarkar has consistently ignored social issues, especially protection of Hindu culture and traditions. AB Vajpayee, despite good governance and development, lost in 2004 being perceived as another Muslim-appeaser. Over the years a stream of PILs against Hindu practices, traditions or even temple-practices have found their way into High courts and the Supreme Court. There is, without a doubt, a very organised attempt by the West and their Indian foot-soldiers to destroy Hinduism and Hindu culture. One such participant in this criminal racket is none other than PETA. This so-called animal protection NGO is probably the most outrageous of Dhimmi organisations operating in India with an American-born as its Head. The Anti-Hindu folks have been consistently campaigning against any Hindu festival:

Water-less Holi, Cracker-less Diwali, against Kite-flying, Jallikattu or Dahi Handi on Krishna Jayanti. In some of these the SC has been issuing rulings much to the chagrin of the affected Hindu communities. And increasingly the SC is being defied by many groups and that is hardly a good sign for our democracy. The SC could have heard multiple interests and passed suitable protection measures rather than complete bans in some cases. The Dahi-Handi ruling of 20-feet height by SC was defied by groups in Maharashtra. This month on Pongal, the Jallikattu-ban was also defied by some groups in Tamil Nadu. The Jallikattu ban is not new. It was banned by the Madras HC in 2006 and the lawyer who petitioned the ban today claims he regrets doing so.

In the past couple of years, the outrageous and virulent PETA has been particularly more aggressive against Jallikattu and some other Hindu customs. PETA folks are also well-known for their own cruelty to animals and have even carried campaigns against ordinary milk and other causes. The sick PETA jerks have protested even the innocuous Pokemon game as cruelty to animals. Laughable! PETA has gone to the extent of dumping a ton of manure against a restaurant they were protesting against. Such sick campaigners should not find a place in India. PETA doesn’t have the guts to protest the violent killing of animals for religious purposes in India or even in the West. Take a look at this video of a Halal-killing in a “Non-stun” procedure (Stun procedure would render a painless death to the animal – video 3 mins – Caution: Contains disturbing images):

In India, when a PETA activist campaigned for a Vegan-Eid in Bhopal she was thrashed by Muslim goons and had to be protected by Police. Since then, their campaign against slaughter of animals by Muslims has remained dead. It is because Hindus do not respond violently that more campaigns are being seen against them. And folks at PETA dare to ask why Hindus point out their cowardice and hypocrisy:

More PILs are filed in courts against Hindu practices because this is an “organised racket” by forces funded by the West and Sickulars. PETA has also filed a petition in a Kerala against elephants in temples which is an age-old tradition merely to create ruckus. If there are violations, that can be brought to notice but PETA has no business to make petitions to withdraw existing orders of a govt. The Dahi-Handi petition claimed children participate and get injured or men get killed. The same claim has been made for Jallikattu too. What physical sports does not have a certain risk? Even in non-physical-contact sport like Cricket there have been deaths.  Figure this out:

Over 130 footballers have died on the field.
At least 11 cricketers have died on the field. Should football and cricket be banned?

These are sports played in many countries throughout the year unlike some Hindu festivals that are celebrated for a day or two. Why are there no petitions against these sports where more people have died than in Dahi-Handi or Jallikattu? Over the years, footballers wear protection – like knee cap or shin-guards. Cricketers wear helmets, arm-guards, abdomen-guards and so on. Instead of restricting Dahi-Handi or Jallikattu the courts could have asked the Centre, in conjunction with concerned state govts, to make the practices safer. Sports like Jallikattu can be monitored under strict supervision to ensure no cruelty or harm to the animal and to ensure people wear sufficient protective gear. People have died in stampedes at many major festival gatherings, including multiple times at Mecca. Should we ban all such gatherings? Should we ban Haj travel?

Nothing calls for a total ban on traditions and practices. This always backfires. For instance, the longer Ganesh festival (particularly in Maharashtra) is supervised under strict laws and rules and is a lot more organised now. The same can be done with other Hindu practices too. But much of the PILs and anti-Hindu campaigns are actually cheered on bigger Hindu-haters in the media and politics. Some of the vilest ridicule and contemptuous remarks are made by these hate-mongers:

In Madhya Pradesh two villages have an annual ritual of hurling stones at each other. It’s a 300-year old practice. Obviously, this can be injurious or fatal. So, they slapped a ban on it. When the police tried to enforce the ban both villages united and stoned the police. The police had to withdraw and the ritual went on as usual – ban or not. The anti-police riot happened in 2009 but the ritual goes on (see video from 2016). What can be done is to educate the villagers and make them understand the dangers. The state did manage to convince the villagers to stop using slings but the ban had to be lifted. Maybe they can be given small rubber-balls (perhaps filled with light stones?) and to use that instead of stones.

There can be a way through it but banning traditions and rituals only provokes defiance and riots. Either way, foreign NGOs like PETA who are predominantly anti-Hindu and where foreign money influences their agenda should have no business to campaign against our traditions. Subramaniam Swamy is also seeking an investigation on the manner in which these organisations are funded to protest Hindu traditions. India is the last bastion of Hinduism in the world. Although we aren’t designated “Hindu Rashtra” our traditions and culture cannot be subjected to diktats of foreign crooks and NGOs. There are serious dangers to this that the ModiSarkar ignores.

In former parts of India, like Pakistan or Bangladesh, Hindus have been more or less wiped out physically. Hindu temples and shrines have been destroyed in those countries (and in India too). The sheer size of Hindu population in India makes it difficult for rouge NGOs and anti-Hindu racketeers to wipe it out physically. So many organisations, largely with foreign funds, methodically, systematically and surely want to gnaw at Hindu traditions and culture and destroy it bit by bit. Before you know it, Hinduism will be in danger of looking like a merger of Chrislam and some left-over form of Hinduism. Many stupid Hindus already wear Santa clothes and chant “Jeez” (a slang word for surprise or annoyance derived from Jesus) or teach their children the greatness of all religions but their own. Writer Amish Tripathi asks a very valid question:

Who are these foreigners and foreign NGOs to dictate Hindu culture and practices? As with the protests against the Kudankulam nuclear plant or the endless protests of Greenpeace against various projects, the GOI needs to throw out PETA too. Alternatively, GOI must bring appropriate laws that allow these NGOs to petition only govts and not any legal rights to file PILs to ban any practice or organisation. PETA is not even respected in the US or the UK. PETA was found by FBI to be supporting convicted arsonists and had financed criminals. PETA has a record of killing a large number of animals under its care as well.

In the West, there are other animal-welfare activists and NGOs that are far more respected than this unruly and violent PETA. The Animal Liberation Front that PETA tacitly supports is considered a domestic terrorist outfit by FBI. People considerate to animals advocate a more humane way of killing even for religions purposes. Hollywood, which often uses animals in movies, gets their animal-scenes supervised by the American Humane Association and not by publicity-seekers like PETA. In the UK too the govt has been repeatedly petitioned to stop non-stun Halal slaughter of animals for religious purposes. India too does not need junk-activists and NGOs like PETA. They are predominantly anti-Hindu and have no place in our society.

    1. The biggest problem articles like this creates is that it plays right into the hands of all the villains (commies, Congi's etc...) mentioned.
Hindu's over the years have done themselves no favors by their inability to unite for their causes and put pressure on any decision body or fight hard for a cause. Our history is littered with examples of minorities ruling us simply because Hindu's always sell out their own.

Demanding all day long that Modi government run economic and Hindu agenda while not having Rajya Sabha majority and fighting massive communal forces is not practical. It has been in power for very short time to fight on multiple fronts and it simply does not the leadership bench depth.

Look at the blowback from every major decision taken. It never makes sense to stretch yourself so thin in any war. It will take 15 to 25 years to create the India you are talking about, if people who voted for Modi start attacking him in year 3 then soon you will have RaGa for PM and you can then try to run your Hindu agenda with him.

      1) Hindu's should show strong unity.
      2) Don't blame and expect government to do everything, raise your issues to a point where popular opinion rises to a point where it makes it easy for The government.
      3) create massive social media presence that starts to drown out the noises created by mass media. This blog already hits back hard at the cooks like Barkha, Sardesai, etc...
      4) be committed to support your PM over the long haul and don't keep playing into enemies hand

    1. Time for Hindu's to unite has been true for few hundred years now. We would not even be discussing these things if Hindu's had the ability to unite. At the core it is just about laziness and corruption, everyone for himself mindset.

Over efforts should directed towards building a national community with common views and goals before we can complain and blame Modi sarkar.

The only power our enemies have over us is their unity and singleminded purpose of destroying our values. They stoop to any depth to get there, while we blame our government.

The anti-Hindu forces are doing their job well, Modi is doing his job, the masses have to do theirs.

    2. Please note Modi comes from a humble back ground and from a State that does feed all living beings like birds and animals. Festivals like Cock fight where sharp blades are stuck to the feet of cock to see the fight the other dying. Bulls are kept in dark, starved then even fed with intoxicants to make them fierceful before festivals. Where is humanity in torture of innocent animals. Lets be human first and be disciplined to enjoy festivals in right spirits.

  8. Well written as usual Raviji. Expect no action or response from the Government and of course, the Courts. The judiciary in India has become a joke more so after that fake "Thakur" came in! Hope they evolve and seriously look within and clear up millions of pending cases before poking their nose everywhere at the behest of rascal NGOs! Why does the SC even allow such bullshit to be filed in the first place? Cow killer "Zero" influence?

  9. Nice article in context Raviji. Trying to erode / eliminate the Hindu ethos thru' persistent and focused attack on anything Hindu or relating to Hinduism. See the change that has been brought about since East India Company days to now. Long haul but definite goal. India is the last bastion for Hinduism and needs to be conquered to enable a sizable following for Chrislam sects. We need to unite and resist this effort as much as possible by not accepting such sermons blindly.

  13. There may many instances of NGOs working against our ancient traditions, values and culture but that does not mean that Courts need to be against our culture. Infact it is we hindus who are compelled to knock the doors of Courts when nuisance s goes above tolerance. Foe example during Holi festival, one week before the festival children of respectable families in connivance and knowledge of elders resort to throwing plastic covers filled with water randomly on pedestrians. Each year there are news how passengers inside local trains are attacked this way of throwing even most hoorible contents like dirty waters to most unhygenic colors. During Ganesh Chaturthi huge DJ sets with diesel generators are used violating all Apex Court directives crossing the audible decibel level. These cause severe heart ache, headache and permanent damage to ears. When music crosses its decibel its noise. Then in Mumbai a new trend of Ganshotsav has started. After Ganesh visarjan on Sept. 15th last year on 19th of Sept. again Ganesh Idols were brought and placed in Mandals for 3 days or more calling it as Gourya Ganpathi. Then for third time again Ganesh idols are brought in Mandals and kept for ten days thats called Maghi Ganpathi. These mandals collect money from public and cause huge noise disturbance. Theres no peace and and if one after other Gods come and creates noise. nuisance and disturbance its better to live without God. Then Jalli kattu, the author should shed all prejudice and see how these innocent bulls are harassed days before the festival. If these animals had mouth to speak they would have begged peace and liberty. The navrathri festival of Durga worship was predominantly fopllowed religiously by Gujurathis in a traditional way have now changed into a huge commercial venture with huge DJ sets and noise. If one remembers the Gokulashtami in Mumbai the traditional Maharashtrians used melodious dolaks and regional local music which was so interesting to hear and join in the melancholy. Even these Krishna Jayanthi festivals have now turned into a political colour. Like in Antop Hill the BJP and the NCP keep stages opposite to each other and both have loud music banging the ears the whole day. The rpice mentioning in crores is no where in reality and late night these are lowered and the Dahi Handi pots are then broken by their own people. Let festivals bring joy. Let Diwali be a festival of sweets and light. I have warned many youths in blasting huge decibel fire cracker bombs during mid night that are banned but still available. The reason of failure of law is that unless there is a complaint by a complainant the Police has no means to stop some one violating law. Reason its a festival. Ultimately the wise and the rich chose to skip the city out to some resorts and farm house to relax during these pollution causing noise, sickness and hazardous festivals in city. Where is Hindu and Hindutva in violations of law and causing public nuisance. Senior citizens are there in every community and need peace not noise.

    1. If people are unhappy to the festivities of their fellow citizens, i.e. Hindus, on just a few days of the year, they are free to go and seek 'quiet peace' in other countries. Pakistan? Syria? But they have the real fire crackers there. Even if these Hindu festivals were not there, resident non Indians (RNIs) will find excuses to attack Hindu practices. Some will object to any Hindu practice but keep their mouth firmly shut for others. We will celebrate our Diwali, Holi, Navratri, Janamashtami, Ganesh Chathurthi ... no presstitute, NGO or sickular can stop us. Oye coward humbugs, if you got any guts, just only for one moment, try to say a word about Bakra Eid.

    2. Mr. Kumar - I agree with Ravi that govt. should regulate events for safety. Even we had Navratri Garba which blared heavy decibel garba songs for nine days and my mother (now no more) with high b.p. used to have horrendous time. Once I even went to nearby thana and T.I. over there told me even he is helpless and even his wife appearing for competitive exam had to live with it...

No celebration is a celebration until a public showoff is done fr the same. Apparently celebrations are for a person to spend time with family and friends but the family and friends celebration can only happen at the cost of public inconvenience. Erect pandals at the middle of the road, take forced donations from trucks and vehicle owners else risk your windows being smashed.

    1. True that. The solution is to digitally record and monitor the court proceedings and having junior most batch of 4 judges listen to cases being admitted daily. The current system wherein matters are heard only on Monday and Friday couples with the fact that a judge is considered an expert in everything is the root cause of all problems. The fear cited by the judiciary is that having one judge listen to one type of case may lead to corrupt practices. Well how about digitally recording the arguments and the proceedings which may be streamed live on the internet. UK SC has done this already but the reluctance of the Indian judiciary to adopt such practice is a sign of insecurity and incompetence.

But, Tamilnadu continues with its age-old tradition, unchecked, making a mockery of SC's verdict.
SC feels confused about its next course of action against TN govt, its Opposition and the public-at-large.

In MP, there are villages having a three hundreds years old tradition of hurling stones at each others.
Kashmiri separatists enjoy traditions of pelting stones at indian security forces as though it has legal sanction.

Dahi handi festival in Maharashtra is an age old tradition. The mumbaikars are averse to restriction on heights of human towers..

Slaughtering of animals and birds for food will soon be declared illegal.
No mutton ,no chicken no fish.

Has the Hon'ble Court over-stepped its jurisdiction, ignoring the practicability and far-reaching, pan-india implications of its orders on Jallikattu ?

LESSON :-- Banning traditions and rituals only provokes defiance.

    Life is full of paradoxes.

  24. I will restrict myself to 2 aspects of the cute little India map in the article:

    1. Do not play Holi with water:

    A. Is there a shortage of water in Maharashtra? Yes

    B. Is there a water shortage in several parts of India? Yes. Cavery Issue is not in Sri Lanka.

    C. Is government taking steps to address the shortage? Not Adequately.

    D. Is clean drinking water accessible to all? NO

    E. Is there adequate water in so called water rich regions of India? NO

    F. Are there crop failures due to lack of rainfall? Yes

    G. Has the lack of water resulted in water wars across India? Yes

    H. Have we as a society saved our water bodies and environment? NO.
One look at Yamuna or Ganga would be enough to tell.

    I. Can we drastically reduce our water consumption? NO

    J. CAN YOU PLAY HOLI WITHOUT WATER? YES WE CAN, WITH 'GULAL'. We have to adjust to our new realities. When water was in abundance no one was objecting to it. Government in Maharashtra is releasing water for Kumbh in Nashik when there is a shortage of water. Kudos to that!

    2. DO NOT BURST FIRECRACKERS DURING DIWALI

    A. Do bursting of firecrackers cause pollution? YES

    B. Where do we stand on air pollution? Pathetic Levels. Government refuses to publish data

    C. Is pollution contained in smaller towns and cities? NO

    D. Bursting crackers add on to the pollution levels? YES

    F. Is bursting crackers essential to Diwali celebration? I will lean towards NO. When Ram reached Ayodhaya I do not think there was a firecracker show. Or may be there was because we invented everything in the world but we can barely invent anything now to solve our problems. The education system messed up with the superior invention gene.

    G. Does firecracker show solve any purpose? Yeah instant pleasure and being a prick for the whole neighborhood.

    H. Do crackers comply with noise and pollution codes? May be they do but even if everyone burst one cracker collectively we may be releasing more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. We are approximately 1.3 billion. On top of it add the vehicular, industrial and other kinds of air pollution scenarios.

    I. Pollution happens even otherwise, other countries are polluting more. Well, I live in India I care about my surroundings. We are the ones who are/will be facing this menace of global warming. It is not a hoax, once mighty river Ganga has been reduced to a stream in the middle and lower delta regions a scene prevalent during summers.

    H. How about you donate the money you spend on this pollution causing Agent to a poor Farmer's family, a war widow, to sponsor education for a poor child or to pay for someone's healthcare cost? NO WAY, MY TRADITION SAYS BURST CRACKERS.
