RailGate: Bhaskar Does An NDTV

There is something sinister going on. It’s not as if information is not available but almost no media outlet wants to make any noise about it. Forget noise, they seem scared to even whisper about it. All the Shomas, Ranas, Sreenivasans, Rajdeeps, Arnabs, Barkhas, Nidhis seem to have crawled into a hole over new revelations in the RailGate bribery case. Of course, I don’t even expect Sreenivasan Jain or anyone from NDTV to talk about RailGate but others too seem to have clamped up. That’s how scary the ‘Gandhi’ name is. I have stated before that the moment ‘Gandhi’ is mentioned, our media celebs piss in their pants and skirts. That’s how scared they are. It stands to reason that there must be so much crime in the media that they wouldn’t want the CBI on their backs. Would they? Smart choice!

The RailGate bribery has taken a sinister turn after Pawan Kumar Bansal was given a clean-chit by the CBI. Imagine, someone who should be an accused is being touted as a ‘witness’ in the case. Still, when a senior BJP member, Satyapal Jain, has been putting out transcripts of the phone conversations nobody seems to even want to look at it. The one newspaper that did report it suddenly did an NDTV. We now know that in critical cases people keep screenshots of NDTV’s webpages since their love disappears overnight but the Daily Bhaskar did something similar in the RailGate episode. This was a report on the case that included the names of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in the phone transcripts. In other cases the spinmeisters at NDTV and Tehelka would have considered it enough to indict people as they do in the encounter killing cases. So here’s the deleted page from Daily Bhaskar from report they carried on July 28 as it appeared on 9.03am on July 29:

The original report has been deleted. There was no explanation why or if there was a retraction due to some error. Nothing! DB must have received some ‘friendly’ calls I suppose. Considering DB also has print versions in Hindi and other languages I wonder if they carried the report in print. Anyway, from the web-cache I have pieced together images from the original report as it appeared in sequence of the report:

The DB report was based on investigation and tweets of Satyapal Jain (@SatyapalJain) and I reproduce the tweet in which names of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi appear. That particular part has been highlighted and shown in the box in red:

You can read the full report of DB saved as a snapshot here as well. I recommend also read the series of tweets of @SatyapalJain on RailGate from July 28 to 29. He has systematically put up transcripts from the CBI records and the records show calls were also made to Ahmed Patel (Sonia’s political advisor) and cross-references indicate Bansal was pretty much in the know of what’s going on.

Someone once asked me if the media in India has freedom. All I can say is freedom is a choice, as is slavery. In the last decade our media has gone from crawlers and bootlickers to being absolute slaves. Those who should be putting the fear of the devil in a govt are cowering and crawling as slaves. This is what corruption does to an individual or to an organisation or an entire industry. The media remains the first line of defence for the corrupt.

  1. Indian media is not only biased but they would feign pure ignorance. Reminds me a quote that I came across a few days ago ...

“Pundits are always blaming TV for making people stupid, movies for desensitizing the world to violence, and rock music for making kids take drugs and kill themselves. These things should be the least of our worries. The main problem with mass media is that it makes it impossible to fall in love with any acumen of normalcy. There is no 'normal,' because everybody is being twisted by the same sources simultaneously. ”

    1. Very true. Now nothing is sacred nor sacrosanct excepting perhaps whatever momentary euphoria gets whipped up and supported by amnesic suckers !!!!

  3. Freedom without responsibility always leads to such type of situation. Media free to do whatever they want but doesn't feel the responsibility to do what they should. Media has even quite successfully and intentionally spreaded this disease within a large section of people. It helps some irresponsible people to ruin the system in the name of rule. And media takes it cut.

  4. MC, there is an old saying which goes like "if you cant beat them, join them".I wonder why u are not thinking of this, not withstanding that u r on a social media.Has'nt anyone approached with any offer?.However on a serious note, now that U have exposed an important cover up job,we expect the BJP to take it from here on. I wish every social media activist must tweet this to a BJP leader whom they follow. Let them be woken up from their slumber. Some of the other issues that put the opposition in a shadow of doubt is the Issue of free passage for Robert Vadra through our airports.Temple endowment law is another that is more important than article 370.I do not know whether the party aspiring to form the next govt has anything to hide on these issues. My only fear is that Pappu may become a martyr if this case does not stick. That is the psyche of the Indian voters.

    1. Do you think that BJP does not know about these scams or inside information? Everyone knows everyone's secrets in politics but their is a truce between them and they will mostly not attack on some specific scam where an individual can be prosecuted. All political parties attack only on generalized issue (or scam) which as they already know can't be proved in court.

    2. They must learn a lesson from the CPM of kerala. Though they are secular anti nationals, nobody can doubt their resolve as an opposition party. The CM of kerala may not have slept for weeks, the way they are stalking him in the solar case.He is making daily trips to high command without any solution in sight. The oppositon has become a nightmare for him. This is the advantage of having ideological cadres, however much we do not agree with their ideology.

  5. Unbelievable that the media is not even talking about these disclosures. Had this been about Modi, they would have gone to town about it. To completely black out this news, is skullduggery of the very worst kind.

  6. I can understand our media celebs not reporting it. What stops the BJP top leadership about raising these questions in the public? The media will report every word that falls off Modi's mouth. So if BJP is not raising these issues, they are as much to blame as the media itself. An Opposition party is supposed to raise issues of corruption about people in Govt. Why are they not doing it?

    1. I wonder why we love to blame BJP for all the actions and inactions of UPA :). Opposition in India is fairly weak and expecting anything tangible from them is futile. Moreover, many a times we have seen the media making bones about BJP obstructing the parliament when ever they have taken a strong stance. MSM is so deeply compromised that I can't even be sure if we can conclusively blame opposition. For instance, this news itself is a tell tale sign.

  7. For all those exhorting the BJP to take this fwd or for not taking this fwd pl note that Shri Satya Pal Jain whose tweets Mediacrooks has put up above is the Chairman of the National Legal Working Group of the BJP and a member of the BJP National Executive. He was a MP (Lok Sabha) from Chandigarh for two consecutive terms. He is a designated Senior Advocate, practising in the Supreme Court of India, Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh as well as other High Courts.

    1. Satyapal Jain is not a VISIBLE leader of the BJP. He may be a top BJP leader in the party hierarchy. What is required is a visible mass leader of the likes of a Modi or Sushma Swaraj or Jaitley or Advani or Yashwant Sinha to raise this issue publicly. You don't need to hold a press conference - a one line tweet from Modi will do the trick!

      Delete
    2. By 'Visible', you mean 'Visibility' in the media that we are cursing ? Let's learn not to look for modi, sushma, jaitley, advani for every single thing. The more we encourage these next level leaders, the stronger the party gets.

  9. A good exposé . Thanks for sharing . This is indeed 'breaking news' exclusive at mediacrooks ( as dainik bhaskar too seemed to have deleted / withdrawn from their website ) .
But my view - this country is full of cowards , lethargic imbeciles . Nothing will come out of this ( even if BjP takes this up forcefully ) . After all what happened to national herald scam ??? What happened to the fact that a Swiss publication had published that Sonia Gandhi has a billion dolor Swiss account ???? Life goes on. But lage raho ravinarbhai . Some spark could still trigger the much needed long overdue righteous revolution

  10. You have nailed it hard! "Those who should be putting the fear of the devil in a govt are cowering and crawling as slaves. This is what corruption does to an individual or to an organisation or an entire industry. The media remains the first line of defence for the corrupt".
In the famous 'Wachovsky' brothers' movie 'The Matrix', the one (Neo) sees a pattern in all the day to day activities and one good morning he has been taken out of the slumber to see the real picture. The people of India are living in a 'Matrix'. Who will be the 'ONE' to bring the people of India out of their slumber? God only knows! I wish people see the pattern of 'Matrix' in the day to day happenings and hope wisdom prevails.

  11. People are Ignorant about rest of the scams Coalgate was also Exposed by the BJP Members and they have been picking up each and every case in the Parliament. But Media is not Picking up the BJP Version the Entire Main Stream Media is there to Cover Up the Scams of Congress and Highlighting the other UPA Partners. Who Exposed the Corrupt CVC it was raised by Ms. Sushma Swaraj. Remember the Vadra + DLF Land Deals even so called Crusader against Corruption Kejriwal refused to go to the Courts. That is why People should watch and Read Between the Lines with their Eyes and Ear Open. Look at latest suspension of the SDM in UP. again the SECULARISM IN DANGER BECAUSE SHE DEMOLISHED THE WALL OF THE ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTED OF A RELIGIOUS SHRINE AND WHY THERE ARE SECURITY FORCES WHOSE JOB IS TO MAINTAINED LAW & ORDER IN THE STATE.

  12. Great investigation Ravinar. Hope BJP and Akalis are not letting this go. MSM's silence is so pregnant!
Keep investigating and reporting. We have no where else to go for the truth.

  13. In 1975, the media showed spine and refused to be cowed down. Therefore, during the Emergency, censorship had to be introduced, and the format of the next day's newspaper had to be filed with the Government for review. It is far easier nowadays. First, offer the carrot with your left hand; the media will come crawling with tongues hanging out. Hold the stick in the right hand and threaten to wield it for taking the carrot. Now the media is in your bag. Simple, no?

  14. These are the sinister designs of the evil party. The eNREGA is just for this purpose. Keep tracking all the media, and the moment something comes up, tell RaGa. He'll take care of it. I don t think RaGa is as stupid as he behaves. I am quite confident, he "IS responsible" for majority of the mess happening since 2012 and not SoGa. He is the brain behind his dumb mother.

  17. Can anyone find any logic of Rajnath holding a press-conference on 'AFGANISTAN' in the U.S.. Why he is not doing anything in eastern U.P. where he belongs to.

The BJP, as on today, look absolutely non-serious and lethargic. They are behaving as if Modi has a magic wand to win the election. Their big leaders are not raising any issue whatsoever.

  18. among all newspapers i can definitely say that the hindu is highly anti-modi and dainik jagran (india's largest selling newspaper) is higly pro-modi,the-hindu has stooped so low in order to discredit modi, that after bringing plethora of articles from pseudos, wich dint serve their purpose though(infact helpd modi acquire modi more sympathy and popularity) ,today they have come out with an article by KAPIL SIBBAL...heheheh....but i am happy the way it has been thrashed by commentators, calling sibbal for his 2g zero loss theory!!!!infact this will also decrease creditability of THE HINDU,as by bringing article by a minister to target modi is a clear symbol on whose side they are!!!!;)
come on THE HINDU,i wish u bring an article thrashing modi on a daily basis,by sanjay jha, diggi, tharoor, sibbal, tiari etc,and it will turn up even a blind fllwer of THE HINDU against it!!!

  19. i dont know about other regional languages nwspapers, but i can certainly tell u that hindi news papers are quiet pro-modi,especially dainik jagran, amar ujala, dainik aaj etc....hindustan and rashtriya sahara may not b as they have their respective political affiliations!!!
HEY @RAVINAR,i request u as well as all pro-modi ppl to propogate others to read dainik jagran instead of some eng news paper, the sale of jagran is even more than the total sale of HT+The Hindu +IE,so it can largely help in shaping good decision in favour of modi ji...and if their are such pro-modi newspapers in other rgional languages too...then u shud name them and ask all ur follwers to make other ppl read these news papers only...remember,english reading ppl have mostly made up their mind in favour or against modi g,so now its tym we focus upon common masses who read in hindi,punjabi,marathi,tamil,bangla,telgu...it will be very helpful i think...

  20. Usually media and press are scared of rulers where dictators are ruling the government. The government virtually controls all the media. Same thing is happening in India where Sonia Gandhi family is controlling and dictating terms to media, but funniliy India is called a democracy. Unless we shun these spineless and paid media and at the same time establish aleternative media, this tyranny by Sonia Gandhi congress government will continue.

First step: Read and recommend MediaCrooks to everyone you know.
    Second: Rely on alternative news sources such as NitiCentral.com , IBTL.in , DailyPioneer.com, NewsInsight.net

  21. The electronic media is being manipulated by Govt. There was a program of ABP news on the article by Pratap Bhanu Mehta - 'Jab hum so rahe the'. A few minutes into the program, which was scathing in its attack on the Government, suddenly the topic changed completely, without any 'break'. Similarly Headlines Today was to run a program on 'Silence of Sonia Gandhi on crucial matters' and how 'Sonia Gandhi just does not care'. The ticker on the channel announced at 9.50 pm that the program would begin at 10.00. But then 'something' must have happened. The program was dropped without any announcement and differet program was telecast instead. So much for the independence of our media.
