India's Most Communal Politician

It started with a report of 5 blasts on the morning of Sunday, July 7. The number changed to 7 blasts, then 9 and at last count it seems 13 bombs were placed at the Mahabodhi temple complex in Bihar. Other TV news reports stated that the bombs weren’t crude but sophisticated IEDs. A few days ago when Nitish Kumar and JDU claimed Ishrat was “Bihar ki Beti” little would he have imagined that he and Bihar would get such a rude awakening. In the normal course any sensible politician would stay far away from anyone even remotely tagged as a terrorist but such is the clamour for Muslim votes that our ‘sickular’ politicians don’t think twice before making silly statements when it comes to Muslims accused of terrorism. Bihar seems to have suddenly become a safe haven for all kinds of criminals from rapists to terrorists. That’s not me saying it but a TOI report clearly points out the systematic penetration of Bihar by potential terrorists and terror suspects to make it a Jihadi hub. From this hub the spokes reach Hyderabad, Delhi and other places for terror attacks. How did Bihar get here?

It’s not just Nitish Kumar but in the last decade every major politician from Bihar has been like a ‘Terrorist-wife’. Like a Mafia-wife! From Lalu Prasad to Ram Vilas Paswan they seem to believe the only way to electoral success is flaunting a terrorist. And like jealous mafia-wives they competed to prove who is better in the race. In return, they want people to vote for them. Take a look at this image from The Telegraph, May 2011:

Pawan paraded an Osama Bin Laden look-alike in 2005 for his election campaign. The guy, Khalid Noor, even had a permanent seat in Paswan’s chopper. Jealous little Lalu couldn’t take it. He stole Osama from Paswan it seems and proudly proclaimed “Paswanji ka Osama Bin Laden mere pas aa gaya”. In a newer version of ‘Deewar’ Amitabh Bachchan could have been given the line: “Tere pas maa hai, mere pas Osama hai’. When CMs and MPs flaunt an internationally wanted terrorist as their mascot it definitely sends a signal to other potential terrorists: “You are welcome here”. Since their break-up with the BJP and to combat Lalu and Paswan for Muslim votes the JDU and Nitish Kumar are sending similar messages with Ishrat Jahan as the mascot. Still, despite the extraordinary credentials of these men, they don’t come anywhere near Digvijaya Singh.

The first time I heard much about Diggy was in the 2003 MP elections. He made a grand, arrogant statement that “election victories are managed”. There is no link available for this statement but I state it from memory. In short, Diggy was suggesting that it wasn’t performance but elections were about “managing”. Oh well, he took the people of MP for fools because they dumped him pretty convincingly. Since then, Diggy has been taking the whole nation for fools. After every terror attack Diggy has regularly thrown a spanner in the works of every terror attack with his stupid statements. The worst has to be his endorsement of 26/11 being an RSS conspiracy with some stupid writer. There is the Batla House encounter which he termed as fake even as it claimed the life of a cop. There isn’t a single terror attack after which he hasn’t pointed fingers at RSS, BJP (Particularly Narendra Modi) and has gone to the extent of claiming RSS was running bomb-making factories.

Of course, our media is no less a mafia-wife. In the many interviews that they frequently have with Diggy, not once have they questioned him on why none of his claims and accusations has ever been backed up with evidence. This guy is a typical shoot and scoot operator. There is his famous screw up of wanting an honourable funeral for “Osamaji”. All his nonsensical utterances have now become legendary jokes. While Diggy (and his party too) goes around calling every opponent communal, fascist and so on I wonder why the media doesn’t call his bluff. His string of glorious BS had to finally come undone. There was nobody screwing him either, he did it himself. After the BodhGaya bomb blasts on July 7 here are some moronic tweets Diggy sent out:

On July 8 Diggy was floating around all TV channels “clarifying” the stupidity in his tweets above. He thought as head of the Congress “dirty tricks department” he could get away with his nonsense again. First tweet: I do not recall media or BJP raking up Myanmar it was done by some “sickular” politicians. Next he drags in Amit Shah and Ram Temple and implies BodhGaya blasts were a consequence of Modi asking Bihar to “teach Nitish a lesson”. Ever heard of a bigger moron with such filthy imagination? And then he asks if there is a connect between Modi’s speech and the blasts. So Diggy was airing sermons like a Mullah but wasn’t “politicising” the terror attack. But his biggest piece of moronery was saved for his second tweet (the one in bottom at left).

Aren’t they suggesting a Muslim involvement…” asks Diggy! Who did? All media reports, based on initial indications and footprints pointed to the Indian Mujahideen. On what basis was he suggesting Amit Shah, Modi etc. were connected to the blasts without any investigation? Never mind! The bigger blunder of Diggy was to equate the IM with all Muslims. So while he and the entire Congress and the ‘sickular’ claim all Muslims are not terrorists, Diggy is the one equating the IM to all Muslims. This was the tweet I sent out on July 8:

I can’t claim my tweet influenced him but sure as hell the hate-monger-in-chief did a complete U-turn and started sermonising in the media that he wanted everyone to hold their horses till the NIA completed its investigations. Well then, what was the haste for him to rush and blame Modi and everyone else or scream “don’t blame Muslims” when nobody was blaming them? One thing seems clear from the experience of the last decade. For the Congress and Diggy regardless of whether the group is IM, LeT, JuD or any other, it shouldn’t be mentioned because it has Muslim members. This is how both Diggy and his party prove hurdles to any serious investigation and closure of any terror case.

Since the last one week Diggy has been going around warning non-BJP states to be alert for communal riots. I have stated in a recent post that India’s history shows that it’s the Congress that has a record of ‘engineering’ communal riots for political gains. Considering general elections are around the corner I estimate the pitch on communal riots is going to grow louder. But the threat is from the Congress party and not from others. Diggy fools nobody but himself and his bosses. The tweet on the left is from Retributions. Rohit Pradhan is a lot more sympathetic to Congress than I am and he rates Diggy to be among the most communal politicians in India. I will just go ahead and make a small correction to the tweet. Diggy is not “among the most” communal politicians. He IS the MOST communal politician in India and his dirty tricks are the ones that people and states should watch out for.

Footnote: TimesNow reported yesterday that an IB alert on a possible terror attack was sent to Bihar govt as far back as October 2012. These were not even generic alerts but specific alerts. What alert was the “Bihar ki Beti” guy watching all the time? The pic below by Satish Acharya says it all. It’s not just Nitish, this is the same fear that haunts Diggy, Sonia and the entire sickular clan.

  1. Media will never highlight that Diggy's words are never contradicted by Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi or Manmohan Singh or any other Congress leader. So, as a general secretory of Congress party, his words must be taken at face value as the official response of Congress on behalf of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. (This is another game of media to shield Sonia, Rahul and MMS from anything negative under their nose, while demonizing Modi for something not even distantly related to him)

My point is, DON'T SEE DIGGY IN ISOLATION. HE IS ONLY A MASCOT FOR SONIA AND RAHUL. SO ALWAYS IDENTIFY WHO IS ACTUALLY TALKING IN HIS WORDS.

    1. The ability to see through statements and be able to extrapolate is what we call political maturity of a citizen. This is a rare commodity in India today, among its voters. THis job is taken over by the Media in a way that it considers good for furthering its own agenda.

That all Congis "flank" and "protect" Sonia/Rahul Gandhi has been dealt with in many posts on this site. It's not the point of tis post. Both of you miss a key point. That when fingers were pointed at IM, Diggy uses it to claim an indictment of "all Muslims". This is the subtle nonsense that the media fails to recognise as does everyone else. That's the key ingredient in the current case.

    3. Dear Mr Thakkar, Anand,

I personally believe that even Sonia or Rahul are not in control of Congress party. The Congress & Media has been financially hijacked by extremely wealthy non-Hindus who are running the show using faces such as Manmohan, Sonia, Rahul & Diggy. That explains the pathetic leadership in Congress party who are used as nothing but pawns. Our Nation & society are in a dangerous situation without any decisive leadership which is exactly what their plan is.

I just wanted to point out that on NewsHour (8th July) Arnab asked Abhishek Manu Singhvi why Digvijay equated IM to muslims by default, and the response was along the line of let's not over-analyse a tweet and look at the stand of the party.

The fact that Congress allows such comments by DS, but distances itself whenever convenient is the real problem here.

      Delete
    5. @Ravinar : Definitely, I agree fully. My small point was only as a supplement to what you have already written, i.e. when Diggy equalizes blaming IM as blaming whole Muslim community, it should be taken at face value as the official response of Congress instead of Diggy's personal opinion. So, we have to expose to common people that it is mentality of Congress party (and not alone Diggy) that equates and considers whole Muslim community as terrorists.

In a topic concerning "communal" politicians, your comment is a very generic one. Criminals going unpunished is a much wider issue and not necessarily related to "communal" politicking. It also doesn't have to do with voting. Voting in large numbers hasn't solved any of these as history shows. What is worth the trouble is "recognising" certain politicians for what they are and be aware. That's the purpose of the post.

To be frank.. That's a very silly argument. Writing blogs has many purposes, including bringing as many facts to people as possible. Comments in media are an "aerial" battle which can be battled by speeches and writings. That is not a battle in the ballot. If blogs are useless why do you even bother to read?

Secondly, you don't realise the futility of your own point. FYI Diggy is not an "Elected" representative right now. So what makes you think only "voted" politicians create nuisance or solve issues? Making comments out of blissful ignorance doesn't carry you too far.

If you are frustrated with the system or criminal justice or whatever, simply rubbishing blogs or writers won't get you anywhere.

    5. If you have read the Acts of the Apostles then the one by St John begins somewhat as follows. "In the beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. That was in the beginning".

If you have understood what that means as you must have, though what is said is rather esoteric then you would perhaps understand that in many ways a blog is like the Word mentioned by St John.

Middle class (MC) is MC because it will not take drastic steps. Thanks to Kejriwal, we have already seen the MC on streets. What is the result? Its honesty was questioned. It was seen as clamor for political space....
I strongly believe MC is the true stability of any society. Failure of MC results in either oppression or anarchy. Right now we are witnessing the later. This is also a short-term political games. Eventually we will return to oppression again.

Exodus of Pandits from Kashmir Valley
Loot of the country for over six decades
Extreme poverty of and malnutrition among a majority of the population
    Communal riots
    Its poor international standing
Hostile neighbors from small to big
High illiteracy of the people of India, etc., etc.

  6. Headlines Today picked up on "Chota Mota Blasts" from NDTV and tried to toe that line. I remember, the anchor kept asking a Mahabodhi Temple executive, "Kya aap hamein batayenge ki yeh 'chota mota' blasts the?" He kept saying, "Nahi madamji, yeh bahut zor se blasts hue"...

NDTV's Breaking News was "Attack on Bihar Temple"... Notice, they are not telling "Mahabodhi or Bodhgaya"... Then they further say "No Damage for Temple Structure"... They dont tell how many blasts have happened or how many people are injured / dead. They keep beating around the bush, when it comes to conveying the NEWS that matters...

And BTW, I had un-subscribed from HT & NDTV some 10 months ago... All of a sudden, from past 3-4 days I see that these two News channels are available for me, but ZOOM which used to come earlier has been taken out... It's too pre-mature to tell, unless there are few more incidence reported. But, it looks like, NDTV & HT got some handsome money from Congress to give free subscription for it's ex-subscribers or few people who are chosed by their own criteria...

In cricket parlance they say, the best way to avoid being hit by a bouncer is to keep one's eye on the ball.It is the politically savvy that must watch these channels and spread the msg to the lesser zombies in the society. If the author of this blog also avoids watching these channels how would you or me get the idea about what is cooking in this country. My point of view is that each one must watch it and then warn those who are naive enough to believe the crap.Every time a naive person is told the truth he will then be more cautious from there on.

Whatever Diggy speaks is Sonia and Rahul's opinion.

Thankfully Kiran Kher yesterday spoke about this on Headlines Today. You might have seen the uneasiness in the secular camp like Kamal Farookhi and others. When siculars are confronted this way they always go on complaining about the language. Can somebody tell me what is un-parliamentary in this claim?

  11. This Nitish Kumar is also among the most Communal Politician and I have the proof. Anyone who lives or has visited the Muzaffarpur area of Bihar can vouch what I state here. The localities where there is substantial Minority population concentration, there are concrete drainage system covered by concrete slabs, the lanes are cleaner and there are street lights and hold your breath, these areas suffer significantly less powercut duration. The areas where the majority live have open stinking overflowing blocked drains with black water/mud. It is impossible to even breathe in these areas. In addition, there are no street lights neither have paved by lanes. These areas suffer significantly longer power cuts. The locals have become immune/numb to this systemic discrimination by the Bihar Government. I must also mention here that People of Bihar have high regards for NaMo and they openly state that the thing that could be done in Gujarat why cant the same be done by NiKu. The answer is obvious, and this may be one of the reasons why NiKu has developed chronic NaMo phobia lately.

There were reports of dis-enchantment, return to lawlessness etc. The so-called good governance in Bihar started failing and they did not do much to stop this. Either they were enjoying power or constrained by 'coalition dharma'. Still they too are responsible for current state of affairs in Bihar. Better they stop personal attacks on Nitish or Laloo. Instead focus on specific issues of the state.

When he started, he used strong words against the BJP e.g. "Modi made a laughing stock of himself" OR "BJP's response was rotten". When he wanted to say the some things against the Congress, he used words like "With great humility, I want to say". He said essentially the same things against both the parties but the choice of adjectives was different. Why is that journalists are so so so so scared? What is it that makes journalists cower in fear when it comes to taking positions against the Congress party and more so, against the Gandhi family? Is it the vindictive nature of the Congress that they fear? Or is it because there are incentives of a cosy relationship that they don't want to forfeit?

  23. Another telling post by you unravelling the evil designs of corrupt politicos abetted by MSM with matching intentions. A sterling write up as powerful as almost every one of yours’

How is BJP, the only alternative (however weak it may be), going to counter this? BJP lacks venom. Remember venom is a great medicine to cure brain cancer.

BJP spokespersons are easily rattled and are always in doubt. Barring few occasions where Meenakshi, Nirmala, Smriti , Piyush or Rudy could manage, they fall for the first bait - hook, line and sinker.

Should they have not forced the media on the mat for Digvijay’s comments on linking modi’s speech and the Bodhgaya blasts? Or Nitish’s adoption of the ‘Bihar ki Beti’? Problem is that they are not sure of themselves. When Mr Advani himself chose to settle intra party scores through MSM, how firm could their defence be?

People are yearning for instant solutions. People switch channels once you get in to long drawn verbal cacophony.

BJP needs to plunge for the kill with their very first statement in MSM panels. Every statement must be a rattler. Bludgeon the MSM with a straight face on top of the opposition. Use short but loaded sentences like tweeting. Steer clear of the temptation to sound fair and reasonable when it is not a level playing field.

Till then guttermouths – bolstered by the corrupt MSM - will continue get away with murder unchecked and unabated. BJP can continue to whine licking its wounds. And betray the well wishers of this nation.

Thank you, Ravi. Keep up the good work, in the service of this great nation!
