Reigning champion Apollo Creed is scheduled for a fight on the 200th anniversary of
American Independence (1976) and his challenger withdraws with injury or
illness. He seeks to make a spectacle by offering a local Philadelphia boxer a
surprise title fight. Rocky Balboa
is not a very brainy man. He’s the local boxing aspirant who works for the
mafia loan-shark as a money-collector. As fate would have it Rocky is picked by
Creed for the fight. It ends in a points-victory for Creed. Afraid the public
thought the fight was a draw Creed challenges Rocky to another bout. Doctors
find Rocky with head damage and his wife doesn’t want him to fight anymore. Sometime
later she delivers a baby and, unfortunately, goes into a coma. The dumb Rocky reads
his wife stories and does the only other thing he can; pray. He wants to be a fighter but his wife doesn’t want him to risk more brain damage. Rocky promises to
be a family man and not fight anymore. Days later his wife wakes up from coma.
She knows what Rocky wants in his heart and says just one word. Watch the video
(0.47 mins):
WIN!
Rocky regains his spirits and finally
wins. The media and some parties have been fooling people with the idea that
ours is a British-type parliamentary system and not a US presidential election,
therefore MPs elect the PM. That is procedurally true but not electorally. Take
the Congress; except for one particular election (which got them a sympathy
ride) it has always been a Chinese Gandhi
who has been the PM candidate. It is just that SoniaG installed MMS as the PM.
This country cannot afford puppets anymore; we have paid a heavy price for it.
Real PMs must be at least elected by public vote. Other than that whether it’s
AIADMK, DMK, SP, JDU, RJD, TMC, BSP or any such party, their default PM
candidate is already known. Smaller outfits like SS, MNS, AAP, Akalis or BJD
also have their “owner” as the
default PM candidate. The dictator and “owner” of that party is automatically
their PM candidate. The only two major political parties who do not have an “owner”
who is a default PM candidate are BJP
and CPM. In the new economic order I
would choose to discount CPM playing a major role. Therefore, the only party
with a national presence that does not automatically have a default PM is BJP.
It is in the above context that the rise
of Narendra Modi from a party worker
to BJP’s PM nominee is nothing short of phenomenal. He had to fight hard to
succeed and be where he is today. It may not be easily replicated in India’s
future quite soon. Remember, he was never even meant to be a CM or electoral
candidate at one time. He was parachuted into Gujarat at a time of crisis after
the 2001 earthquake. I cannot forget
that earthquake that occurred at 8am on Republic Day 2001. The BJP govt then
was slammed for poor relief work and that’s how a grassroots worker like NaMo
was flown in. Since then the story has been the media and his political opponents
(and some within his own party) hounding him over the 2002 riots and all other
manufactured allegations. Even today a pathetic Congress couldn’t come up with anything other than this from a man
who talks about “escape velocity”:
It is pretty dumb of RahulG or those who feed him these
lines to once again start the 2002 song. It doesn’t occur to the man or his
sycophants that it’s the hounding of Modi over the 2002 riots that actually
brought him more prominence. Otherwise, he would have been just another CM as
many others. It also helped that Modi gained reputation as a performer and
known to be uncorruptible. It also helped that he happens to be a great orator
who holds large numbers of people in thrall when he speaks. But the most
important thing that also endears Modi as new hope is the pathetic lack of performance by the Congress and other parties who
are still seeped in corruption, appeasement and vote-bank politics. The
Johny-come-lately Arvind Kejriwal who acted like a corruption-fighter turned
out as corrupt and as much a non-performer as the Congress. In fact, it is now
publicly acknowledged that AK is a foot-soldier of SoniaG and nothing more.
The Congress and its jokers keep talking
nonsense about Modi and the nation itself. Recently, Salman Khurshid their minister went to London and trashed our Supreme
Court and Election Commission. The Congress members seem to have completely
become senile. They rant against Modi but can’t motivate their own team as this
report on a Google Hangout of Rahul Gandhi indicates:
It was a miserable flop with not even
regular Congress members participating in the programme. Worse, the image of
empty chairs at the hall where members were to have interacted with RahulG has
been seen by almost everybody who tracks news and events. It is tragic. People who support their own political preferences
and leaders will do so. They may support Jaya, Maya, Mamata, Mulayam, Rahul or
Kejriwal as they passionately should. A political contest is bound to generate
a lot of heat but there are some in this list of names who are totally unfit to
be deciding the course of this nation. Most of them are Congress clones and I
strongly believe for India to progress Congress must die. It was Mahatma Gandhi's dream too. The Congress has no ideology except “Gandhi family” and the
same ideology has been adopted by many other parties too. Indians must refuse to be slaves to individuals and families and
recognise performers and parties with internal democracy. Indians should choose
leaders who have performed, who have risen from the ranks through merit and
public approval. That’s where the future of a large, diverse country lies.
The Anti-Modi army in the media and
assorted NGOs and corrupt individuals will continue to support the rise of the
corrupt to protect their own vested interests. Some in the media and public domain
that I had listed earlier in a post as in the pic below will be active again:
In the long term, all of us are dead. “Que sera sera,
whatever will be will be, the future’s not ours to see”. But it is
well within our hands to get rid of the corrupt ideology that the Congress has
come to represent for many decades. There is a bunch with a similar ideology
and there is one that stands with a different ideology. But the one I do
strongly support is a “Congress Mukt
Bharat”. I will back anyone who
works for this. That being so, I too have only word for Narendra Modi: WIN!
Rajdeep announced that AK will contest elections against NaMo in Varanasi even before AK had said anything about (he still has not confirmed ). Need we say more about RS?. Meanwhile Swaraj creating ruckus at this moment is deplorable. Personal ego must be kept aside (atleast till the elections get over).
ReplyDeleteWhat AK and RS are doing, was much expected. They are going by the individual DNAm so what they are doing is natural...both are scums. What Sushma has done surprises me, but I do hope that this is the beginning of her end aka a Keshubhai. Sushma, LKA, Shatrughana are hopefully in the last leg of their tantrums, before they run out of all support within the Party. Remember neither of these 3 have any great achievements to talk about, Just that they a gang and Congress B Team. Infact I would call them AAP B Team and Congress C Team. The honor of Congress B Team goes to AAP, Rajdeep, Barkha, PPB.....
DeleteFor the likes of mororns who go by the name of Arvind Kejriwal and co. i would like to ask them that on what credentials are they questioning the administrative and leadership qualities of Mr. Modi who has been in democratic state service for the last 15 years. In less than 50 days time AK proved to his beleivers that actually all that gliters is not gold. On the contrary
states are run with a sense of political acumen which doesnt survive on 24*7 Big Boss like live camera coverage... AK should keep in mind the saying that " you can fool some people some of the times.... most people most of the times but not all people all the time".
We'll said
DeleteVery apt last sentence for all of us Indians. We had been in a coma for a long time. We are awake now and egg Narendra Modi on to win.
ReplyDeleteIndia is in a state of coma...literally & figuratively. NaMo has to WIN or else the essence of India is dead. My fellow citizens, please don't leave ANY stone unturned to make the true & only leader of India victorious. We truly are at the crossroads and are answerable to the future generations of decisions we make today. India calls upon you..it is now or never.
ReplyDeleteThis is our last chance to get rid of Congress. I have ensured that I have my vote and talked to my friends and relatives to vote for NaMo. My contribution to Congress Mukth Bharath. Vande Mataram.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteI really hope Namo wins, really India yearns for him!, especially our poor people.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful and moving article. No other politician in India has faced so much slander, personal attacks from both within and outside his party, with even a stupid US visa refusal and its lapdogs joining in. But Modi displayed nerves of steel by focusing on performance and completely ignored the hyenas baying for his blood. Unlike his other puny contenders for PM post, he is a real leader who inspires confidence in me and and countless other people cutting across caste, class, religion etc. Importantly he faces people and talks to them instead of rushing to the media at the drop of a hat. Yes, I join you in wishing to see Modi now do only one thing. WIN.
ReplyDeleteIn the long term, all of us are dead. “Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, the future’s not ours to see”. But it is well within our hands to get rid of the corrupt ideology that the Congress has come to represent for many decades. There is a bunch with a similar ideology and there is one that stands with a different ideology. But the one I do strongly support is a “Congress Mukt Bharat”. I will back anyone who works for this. That being so, I too have only word for Narendra Modi: WIN!
ReplyDeleteThough you clearly said WIN, it sounds me like KILL....the one haunting word from Gladiator.....KILL KILL KILL....
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree. This article is as inspiring as the movie Rocky / Gladiator.
DeleteIt is the good fortune of India, that Modi had to face the continuous torture and media gaze that he did. It has made him far stronger, far more clever and much better prepared for the top job. There was a time, when he used to try and refute the slander press...he may have hesitated about some stuff, made a few mistakes in his 12 years of governance and paid for it...but as a result, we have the truly strong and time-tested leader who can change our future for the better.
ReplyDeleteI suspect, once he becomes PM, there will also be an international media witch-hunt against him...similar to that against Putin. The experience he has gained all these years will help him there too. Just a last push remains now...to WIN!
Happy Holi Ravinar and thanks for the write-up!
Excellent point.
DeleteI second you.
DeleteI beg to differ. Once Modi becomes our PM, the only decision foreign governments will worry about will be whether to give him red carpet treatment or no.
DeleteOnly dream is to see NaMo win with a Thumping majority otherwise..I will never ever again bother about my nation..I will feel it's not worth it...
ReplyDeleteVery we'll said.even without any support we ve achieved so much .but govt too is functional and oriented it ll do wonders.but if we let this opportunit surely there is nothing we can do change course of this nation.we must look after ourselves in the same devious ways that congress has been able to inculcate in some of our people.
DeleteWin NaMo! Win
ReplyDeleteThis is perhaps the best chance India as a nation has. If we allow Congress to form the govt, they will set us back by another 2 to 3 decades. "Survival of the fittest" becomes more a rule than a guideline, as its is now. Corruption will go up exponentially. Anarchy which is introduced in the form of AAP, will become deep rooted and will spread wide. This is a scary situation. Modi must win. And win, he will. This is already decided.
ReplyDeleteWe must not forget what was said in Bhagat Gita: "Paritranayaye sadhunaam vinashya duskritam dharmsansthapanarthya sambhavami yuge yuge" This is that moment. We are all fortunate in witnessing it and for becoming participants.
So now, this son and grandson of mass murderers of Sikhs and Tamils now wants to judge the Supreme Court of India's authority, and pass out character certificates to Supreme Court Judges. http://7sporks.blogspot.com/2014/03/7sporks-tumble-wee.html
ReplyDeleteHappy Holi to Mr. Ravinar and all readers.
ReplyDeleteI just wish this election to be a peaceful one, devoid of any serious violence like in 1991. This has become BJP's election to lose. The UPA ministers are running helter skelter with their tails between their legs fearing a worst defeat. RG & SG may not have to worry about winning their seats but that cannot be said about other congress candidates, especially in north India. BJP must distribute tickets wisely now. They have a good battery of leaders but they must be present in both houses of parliament to take on the opposition. All top leaders need not contest LS election and give more time to campaigning. All 70+ leaders should have vacated their seats in favour of the younger generation and build a strong leadership base for the future. I am bit disappointed with tickets given to family members of some leaders. Only BJP can bring about new leaders devoid of any political forefathers. The way NaMo has risen is a tribute to this unique feature of BJP.
All in all, it should be now or never attitude that should drive BJP campaign.
Last but not the least, we voters must ensure that we come out to vote in large numbers in cities particularly to guide NaMo to 7 RCR. Look at Chattisgarh population when they have voted avg at least 75 % in vidhan sabha elections and they are not as developed or educated as people in Metro cities.
Let us join Mr. Ravinar in wishing Shri. Modi to WIN and WIN COMPREHENSIVELY.
I believe the media by now is convinced that nothing can stop NaMo from becoming PM. The Congress is down and demoralized. The AAP is only hot air. It is only the fence-sitting regional parties who will somehow veer towards the NDA once the results are out.
ReplyDeleteNow their mission is to make the next regime led by NaMo to be a weak one - by increasing the BJP's dependence on NDA partners. This will protect their turf!
WIN! We will follow you in the Sun!
ReplyDeleteChinese Gandhis! Oh, I love that.
ReplyDeleteNeed your rejoinder to this one: http://indianexponent.com/scrapbook/compelling-evidence-that-proves-narendra-modi-ordered-the-gujarat-genocide-ashish-khetans-sting/
ReplyDeleteWatched the video. The players of the video gives the game away when one of the interviewee says, that Army was called three days after the violence begins.
DeleteThe fact was army was called in the first day itself.
Secondly compare them with previous riots and the convictions that took place, most of the due to active participation of Gujarat police, that gives the answer. Why would a compromised police even let the convictions happen?
Ranbir Bhai kya likhtey huoo maza aa gaya...Jai Hu Baba Ranvir Das kee.
ReplyDeleteSir, iam surprised that Swapan DasGupta's pic is also present here. I thought he is good...
ReplyDeleteWhere is SDG's pic? Is it Markandeya Katju who you are referring to?
DeleteRamaswamy
The Mahabharata was also a story of a family feud! Indians are obsessed with dynasties of a single family and fight wars (elections) to preserve it. If we have to come out of this coma, I feel that we should begin portraying Mahabharata in a different perspective - one that downplays the family bickerings. (Sorry for the digression)
ReplyDeleteI came across a tweet in this blog may be yesterday which appealed to me very immensely. I think it is worth given a wide coverage. It ran something like as below.
ReplyDeleteVote for Modi is a vote for MYSELF,and MY KID,S FUTURE says an AAM AADMI.
IT was a very appeal;ing small narration carrying a lot of punch. Caravan will move on to our destination kgnayak
It is time we bid adieu to Congress by voting it out.let us give mandate in such a manner that it cannot even sit in the opposition.
ReplyDeleteSome times, i feel we should thank MMS. Even if he had done descent job in UPA-II, we would have got UPA-III with RG as PM.
ReplyDeleteFor India to live, poison Congress has to die. If Congress lives then India dies. Nation first. Let the electorate do its duty now.
ReplyDeleteChinese Gandhi!!!- Epic!
ReplyDeleteWin for Modi is Win for India. This is the last chance to finish congress which has bought AK thru proxy. As usual excellent article!
ReplyDeleteModi's first priority before anything else has to be to clean the country. Commies, NGOs, terrorists, JNU monkeys, missionaries, paid media, Maoists, Naxalites, foreign agents - the list is endless. Last, but certainly not least, Congress. They need to disappear permanently. Whatever happens, if one is concerned about securing India's future, all of the above need to go. I sincerely hope he understands this.
ReplyDeleteClean and send where? surely he can't shoot them all!
DeleteI don't know. But their main objective is to destroy the country. Do you suggest we leave them as they are? What happens 20 or 30 years down the line?
DeleteA combination of legal action against current and past offenders, a reassertion of the core of Indian values despite the inevitable shrill response, and a overhaul of the education system would be a good start.
WIN HE MUST DEAR RAVINAR! And pl keep up this tempo.Refer TOI On Line edition Head line this morning " Modi too eager to become PM - Baba Ram Dev " Crooks are out to milk every syllable.

ReplyDeleteDear Ravinaar and all the readers. Happy Holi.I think all your readers will support me when I request you to come out in open and take them head on.Place at the top is open. I have seen and read many media persons there are very few who match the plethora of knowledge and information Ravinaar has. To my mindd Ravinaar stands in the company of Arun Shorie, MV Kamath , Giri LalJain, H.K.Dua and others who set highest standard of journalism. Raviji your blog is reaching just a limited no of people. Why donot you appear on TV debates even as indendent intellectual while we have seen that people like Kamal Mitra Chinoy, Arun Bhatia, Satinath and other paranoids are barbing day in and out . Why cannot a person like you take his rightful place and shoot these MSM and phoney intellectuals down. I have seen only Ms Irani, Ms Lekhi and Dr Swamy can argue their point forcefully. It is high time Ravinaar contributres in a manner which is required . Only blog is not sufficient to make it happen. What are views of other readers ?
ReplyDeleteIt is NOW or NEVER for the BJP. So, go for the kill !!
ReplyDeleteCongress mukt India will happen in the next few months based on the following sequence of events:
ReplyDeleteModi wins national elections
NDA forms govt
Rahul loses interest in politics, leaves India for a life long "vacation" in Italy
In the absence of solid leaders Sonia loses her grip as an opposition leader
Modi's economic development model systematically dismantles the opposition that way it did in Gujarat
These is the only way for a Congress free India
Thanks Ravinar, completely agree with u. The biggest contributing factor to modi's rise has been his hounding by the media coupled with 10yrs of upa 2. In 2009, im sure even a die hard bjp supporter was cringing at the prospect of having to support lka for PM. Namo was waiting to happen, the amount of diatribe against him had to rebound at some point of time. We need a strong right wing party. Do u notice this whole campaign about voting for the right candidate etc? Its nothing but garbage, whats the point in voting for a right candidate in the wrong party? The most honest of MP's dont go against their dongi high command. So i wud rather repose my faith in the PM candidate and hope that his value system will percolate downwards to his MP's etc., and that he will listen and value the opinions of his people. I do wish Modi not only wins this time, but also takes the country out of the morass we are sinking into. Hopefully if he can do that, then hindu consolidation will happen and if that happens no one can stop this country from prospering as the vote bank nonsense of other parties will get swept away. I am so happy to see the campaign for dongi mukht bharat, and the greatest contributor to this cause is the dongi queen herself as she hasnt allowed any regional leaders to bloom. The only major dongi leader with grass roots support now is Siddu (come to think of it, karnataka is probably the second largest dongi ruled state now - though they will lose Maharashtra heavily very soon). But Siddu is smart, he is sidelining all the original dongi party fellows. If Dongi queen loses heavily in 2014, then even siddu doesnt have to listen to her.Its been a amazing journey for modi and i really wish, hope and pray that it reaches its destination successfully. His journey will end up being truly inspirational to the next few generations of Indians to believe in their abilities
ReplyDeleteEnsure that Modi wins in whatever way one can. Latest is that, some section of Muslims in Varanasi have offered prayers for Modi's Win : http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/specials/lok-sabha-elections-2014/news/Varanasis-Muslim-women-pray-for-Modi/articleshow/32146698.cms?

ReplyDeletekindly go through this article written by an ex- raw official in canarytrap...
One wonders is there any limitation on number of seats one person can contest from!!suppose nominations are filed by NAMO for all the 543 constituencies!!!He may win easily in half of them!!! This brings to mind an idea..why not each aspirant for PM (any indian citizen is eligible) file nominations for any number of constituencies. Whoever wins maximum no. becomes the prime minister..further he in consultation with his party decision making body, can give power of attorney to suitable party member to function as MP for the constituencies he has won. Similarly other aspirants can give power of attorney to their party members to function as MPs in those constituencies where they have won.. The thought has come because today all surveys indicate NAMO is the post popular choice to become PM by a wide margin..still because of the system today, there is a possibility of a least preferred candidate (from third front) ending up as PM and getting pulled in all directions while in governance.
ReplyDelete@rajalaxmi,
ReplyDeleteOne candidate can stand for elections from at max 4 seats.
I think we are looking at a hung parliament with NDA emerging as the largest pre election group getting around 220 seats ( approx 50 seats short ). BJP is bungling as usual . Relying excessively on Narendra Modi and it is foolish to put all eggs in one basket . Has needlessly rocked its stable boat by changing seats , selecting bad candidates ( example Kiran kher , what political experience she has ??? ). Plus unable to reign in internal jaichands ( sushma, shatrughan). And Congress supporting Media will soon unleash its blitzkreig against Modi and bjp which the bungling spokespersons of BJP ( viz ravishankar Prasad, jawadekar, chandan mitra et al ) will not be able to manage.
ReplyDeleteWe get a government we deserve . I will not write off congress and third front ( including aap) for now
your fear is very real. let us hope the voters behaved responsibly.
DeleteThere is one interesting thing from the photo - All of them speak in unison. Same points, same logic. You hear one you hear all. Like a choir reading from one book.
ReplyDeleteSo much for the Free Media.
I am 37 yrs old and used to think about 2-3 yrs back that the civil war in India on religious faultlines will happen after I am gone, say 40yrs down the line, but now seriously think that if a strong Nationalist government is not in place for atleast 10 years now, it may happen much sooner.
Situation in North-East incl Assam, Keral, Bengal, parts of UP, Bihar, AP, Karnataka is reaching alarming levels thanks to abrahamic religions, commies and Khangressis.
It is high time that Hindus unite and vote. Even if 50-60% of Hindus vote in one direction, our motherland is safe.
