Modi's PM Nomination & After

Her father dumped her, her mother and siblings. She was consigned to a childhood of poverty and misery. She went to the big city to chase her dreams of wealth and power. She had no formal education to write about. She did odd jobs to survive and dreamt of being an actress. She had relationships with many men while struggling with her jobs. During this period of gold-hunt she reportedly even forged her birth certificate to marry a powerful man. Her marriage led to a life of wealth and comfort as she became a socialist fighter. She also became a powerful politician. She aspired to official govt position but was thwarted in her attempts. She would eventually die of Cervical Cancer. You know who I am taking about, right?

Yes, I’m talking about Marie Eva Duarte De Peron, popularly known as Evita. Her rags to power story became famous across the world with musicals and movies that were made about her life since the 1970s. She lived all of 33 years. And her title? ‘Spiritual leader of Argentina’. Depending on the way you look at it, her story can be inspiring or just fascinating. But it’s a story many aspiring politicians would dream of. There is a man who has risen in India from an ordinary life to become the PM nominee of his party. Narendra Modi had very humble beginnings, has been a tea-vendor as he worked to receive formal education. He has been a disciplined soldier of his party and after 4 victories as CM of Gujarat he is now the BJP’s PM nominee. The only difference is he has none of the scandalous blemishes that Evita had. He also didn’t forge documents to marry into power. His detractors, however, will now be desperate to hang him by crook or crook or crook for crimes of their own imagination.

First things first. Over the last few months our MSM has a new-found love for LK Advani. This is in line with the fact that our media is the greatest danger to democracy. LKA himself proved he is anti-democracy within his own party. Childish, Schoolish, Petulant, Obstinate, Sulking; these and many more words can describe the absolutely stupid behaviour of LKA. This is a man who has become a caricature of himself. A man who puts himself ahead of party and country. A man who believes his opinion is the final decision and not the choice of his party members. In hindsight, I am glad this man never became the PM of India. His stint as Deputy PM is nothing worth writing about and, of late, his churlish conduct is even worse. In their hatred for Modi our media, instead of universally condemning LKA’s behaviour, have been treating him as the “injured” party. He doesn’t deserve any sympathy and I am glad BJP members rose above his nonsense to enforce the majority’s choice.

John Kerry ran for president. Hillary Clinton fiercely contested Barack Obama for nomination. Yet Kerry and Hillary put aside electoral contests and have chosen to work for Obama. Kerry is the current Secretary of State and Hillary his predecessor. Both are older in age and politically senior to Obama. In contrast, Advani seems to believe he has the “first right” on Prime-Ministership. He failed as the PM candidate in 2009 and under him BJP would have failed again. The media hates Modi being the PM candidate because he is the biggest danger to the corrupt Congress on whose crumbs the media delights. Naturally, the MSM wants nothing but the Congress back in power. So all the criminal editors chose to portray Modi’s nomination as an “unhappy” one in which Modi and the party disregarded their senior “statesman”. The “Liars of India” headline says it all. Advani is neither a statesman nor a great politician. History will record him as a very petty politician. He may have contributed to building the BJP but he is not a “king” who gets to permanently rule his imaginary kingdom. This shameful episode in LKA’s career is gladly consigned to history. I dare say, the same media will write a very unkind obit for him when his call comes. The truth simply is that across the country Modi’s elevation has been celebrated.

As for his detractors in the Congress the one comment by the now “distanced” and out-of-favour Digvijaya Singh says it all. This guy who was barred from entering a presser in his own home-state by the MP Congress is foolish enough to open his mouth again and demonstrate his ignorance and hypocrisy in all its glory. He talks about who will decide on the PM. Foul-mouthed, jealous characters like him forget that in the history of world’s democracies only the Congress party has a PM “appointed” by the party president. MMS is not even directly elected by people. He has not been able to win even one single public election. To call him a back-door PM would not be inaccurate. They let him crawl in through the backdoor from Assam in the Rajya Sabha.

As for the media, their stupidity is only going to go a notch higher after Modi’s nomination. Nothing exemplifies this better than this tweet by the Category5 Moron. No one swims as gladly in a cesspool of ignorance and stupidity as she does. In her programme after Modi’s elevation this bimbo even lies that “thousands of Sangh Parivar activists were convicted” for the 2002 riots (@1.54 in this Youtube video). Such criminal liars are “self-styled” editors. But make no mistake the criminal media will now take the Hunting Season to the next phase in a couple of months. Now that their question of who will be BJP’s PM candidate has been answered they will get busy with collection of more lies, distortions, fake news and slander to target Modi. Everyone knows that by now. Leading the pack will be the editors and side-kicks from NDTV, TOI Group, CNN-IBN, the Salmas and Sabrinas of Tehelka, Indian Express. You name it, that media house will be on board. In their quest to slander Modi, the media has even defended and glorified criminals, terrorists and anti-nationals.

In more than a decade the slanderers in media and politics have not understood something serious; and that is the behaviour of man who nurtures guilt of a crime or wrong doing. Most have seen Pawan Bansal making a goat-sacrifice over the railway scam. Most are aware of Lalu Prasad having attended Tantrik rituals to protect him from the fodder-scam. The media protects darlings like Naveen Jindal who are FIRed in the Coal scam. PM goes into a conspiracy of silence for a long time over the coal-scam. Robert Vadra hides from the public and media over the land scams. Modi hardly hides. Far from hiding, he has gone beyond Gujarat and talked to people all across the country. He has even travelled abroad and met top govt heads. All this with the 24X7 media slander campaign against him. A guilt-ridden man would have been happy to hide in his office and state and not attract any attention at all. A guilt-ridden man wouldn’t dare to aspire for the highest office in the country’s govt. The media is “money-bound” and “slavery-bound” to use some old and new terms to slander him. Their lies and distortions will be generously decorated with terms such as:

Polarizing figure: Every politician and every political party polarises people and votes. That is what elections are about. This is nothing unique to Modi but the media will tell you this lie over and over again. Don’t the SP, Congress, JDU polarise Muslims? Do they not dole out extraordinary appeasement to garner votes? Does Mayawati not polarise Dalits? Whether you like it or not, elections are indeed about polarising votes towards one’s party and candidates. The biggest polariser since the British is the Congress which has divided Indian society by caste, community and religion by various policies and practices.

Divisive figure: This is another lie woven from the dead bodies of Gujarat 2002. In what way has development in Gujarat been divisive? Who are the politicians offering special courts for Muslims? Who’s offering special funding for Islamic and other minority schools and colleges? Who are the ones dividing the country? Removing article 370 for J&K is divisive or is it meant to firmly integrate the state with India? What nation-dividers even said there will be separate police stations or at least one Muslim cop in every police station? And yet criminals in the media (and you know all of them) accuse one person as divisive. So much so that one particular bimbo from NDTV is even ashamed to be Indian because Modi is getting nominated as PM. I believe probably she reflects the feeling of all the anchors at her channel.

Pick up and read any editorial on the recent Muzzafarnagar riots. Many may have missed an important thing. In addition to the deaths and a few arrests what are the editors talking about? You will find that that these articles are mostly discussing it politically. They are discussing which political party will benefit the most from the riots and deaths and which party will lose the most. This is how foolish and stupid our editors have become. And they talk about someone else being divisive? Collectively, the MSM is the most divisive political entity in this country. There is nothing they won’t sell to gain a few more bucks. There is nothing they won’t cover up for the Congress for a few more bucks.  And the guy who ignored UP riots for over a year, stated Assam deaths weren’t enough to report, who made his career politicising over the dead bodies of Gujarat with lies and hate-mongering against Modi sermonises the world to not politicise Muzzafarnagar. These are the shameless morons who pose as editors. In fact, it took the death of one of the “Hammam” to even talk about the UP riots for the media. Modi’s rise is directly proportional to the mountain of lies by these hate channels and newspapers. People aren’t being fooled anymore.

Polarising, divisive! Polarising, divisive! You will hear this chant over and over again but the criminals chanting this also know this won’t make any difference to the voter. Those who want to vote for Modi’s leadership will vote for it anyway. If the media crooks are trying to convert fence-sitters, they will do a bad job with their hate-mongering. It hasn’t worked before in Gujarat, it won’t work anywhere else. Indian economy is in doldrums, inflation, corruption, joblessness. These are all polarising issues but these are not divisive issues. These issues will indeed polarise people to pick a new leader and vote out the most corrupt party ever in any democracy. Modi isn’t corrupt and doesn’t allow corruption. That is the first thing about his elevation that scares our corrupt media and corrupt editors. In the aftermath of Modi’s elevation many corrupt editors are likely to face the music sooner or later.

You played a great role in identifying and targetting media , keep up your great work of stripping MSM apart

Sonia fits into the picture with "forged birth certificate"(city name & probably date), "married a powerful man" (Rajeev) & "cervical cancer" Infact the whole para seems to tell Sonia's story right from "childhood of poverty and misery" ,"big city to chase her dreams of wealth and power" (London, Au Pair), "odd jobs to survive " (Waitress in Cafe), " powerful politician", "aspired to official govt position but was thwarted in her attempts." For me EVITA is a musical with the famous "Don't cry for me, Argentina"

Now it has come to a point where they are on the run.But the so called Monster is growing unabated.I was surprised that in an NDTV talk show Sabrina fell back on the worn out Malnutrition issue again to the amusement of the nation.I was amused because it was clear proof that their nitpicking has reached a dead end.Another theory that is living a dangerous life nowadays is the so called "Idea of India".There are a million of em.The reference to Evita appears to be a veiled attack at, we know who.But carry on in the same vein. Let us not be in the historical bandwagon of so near and yet so far syndrome, atleast this time.As for the pseudo seculars on social media, any debunking of their theory is classified a trolling and 'malnutrition'.

  5. Wonderful ...Hunting Season started when the press conference to declare NaMo as PM candidate of BJP was going on. Out of wilderness Sudheendra Kulkarni was brought in the media studios as a so called former BJP leader. Who is this Sudheendra Kulkarni? A known leftist writer from a closed down news paper INDEPENDENT. Sudheendra Kulkarni rode on Ratha Yatra along with the then Divisive and Polarizing figure called L. K. Advani. He got access to the BJP power circle and PMO because of this service to Mr. Advani. Sudheendra Kulkarni is the same person who was a master mind behind the botched "Cash for Vote" episode. For this episode he foolishly relied on Rajdeep Sardesai for this expose, where Rajdeep double crossed. Sudheendra is the same person who wrote LKA's widely ridiculed Jinnha speech. And now Sudheendra will appear in every studio to show how BJP is divided within and how NaMo is divisve. Independently for BJP, Sudheendra was never a electable mass leader leader. He was favored by LKA...for unknown reasons. Interesting thing about Sudheendra Kulkarni and Nitish Kumar is, both are leftist/Secularists/Socialists at heart and were mentored in NDA by LKA who joined NDA to get access to the power. Now as LKA is side lined in BJP...LKA, Sudheendra, Nitish Kumar all are sulking. One fails to understand how LKA preferred these leftist people over his party's trusted soldiers and RSS.

  6. Hi Ravi,

    Brilliant post as usual. Thanks!

On Muzaffarnagar, Have you heard about the Jolly Canal incident. Basically what happened is that after 7th Sept Mahapanchayat, returning Jats were ambushed at Jolly canal by a mob wielding AK 47s and other assault rifles. More than 100 could have been killed and dumped in canal. Official toll is 6 since the bodies were not found.

This was a Godhra style provocation and the retaliation was spontaneous - a la Gujarat. Yet nobody reported. Nobody except DNA
    http://www.dnaindia.com/india/1888043/report-dna-special-jolly-canal-killings-triggered-the-muzaffarnagar-riots

Nobody else in MSM mentions Jolly. You can google on it. They are happily reporting stories of BJP provocation and muslim suffering.

Can you look into this one as well. Is MSM really blind to this or are they self-regulating here so that the violence doesn't spread. I trust ONLY MC to let us know the truth.

    Thanks!

    1. Yes, the media has blacked out that story..even DNA hasn't done any follow up since that original article. Our sick media is surely suppressing this in the name of self-regulation to "prevent violence from spreading". In their sick, twisted minds, any event where Muslims are visible as aggressors must be suppressed lest it "incite" the majority. This twisted, macabre thinking has done IMMENSE harm to country. If news is reported factually, it does a few things 1.) Creates pressure on govt to act - when people see the RIGHT action being taken & justice being done, it CALMS the situation 2.) there is less chance of people believing in rumors & exaggeration 3.) Today, all Indian Muslims believe that the Indian state is unjust & they are targeted in every riot - our media nurtures this victimhood complex by not holding up a mirror for the Muslim community. The Urdu press is anyway full of such victimhood rants & conspiracy theories, Enlgish press is also doing a similar job. Just imagine if reports of atrocities on Dalits were to be suppressed in a similar manner, on false grounds that it will lead to Dalit-upper caste tensions...would that be acceptable to us. Will non-reportage of rapes mean that the problem has gone away? We live in an era of a totally commercialized, superficial, corrupt, neutered media. Out of the 4 pillars of democracy - legislature, executive, judiciary, media...I would say that media is as sick as any other pillar.

Apparently ABV "constantly humiliated" LKA after the latter "graciously gave up the race for PM in 99 in the larger party interest". And it seems LKA was so frustrated at this "humiliation" that he went against his better self and actually supported Modi's continuation after 2002 purely to spite ABV. Kerala congress may not be that bad. Considering their track record for last several decades. Take it from me they could be a potential supporter. My experience is that they are all in main stream politics. Infact in the kerala scene we shall try to get hold of them Basically they agree with right of centre economic model.
Let us concentrate on only 2 seats this time Kasargod and Trivendrum in Kerala. Do not dissipate of your precious energy all around. From these two seats one from the north and the other south. then the drive toward the centre of kerala would be easy. Tharoor from Trivendrum may have to be stopped from becoming MP as i observe no individual from Kerala has exhibited so much venom in personal level against NAMO like Sashi. It is time everyone shall start working in micro level. Nayak

    1. icyfire,

I feel Rajnath has matured and come a long way since his first stint. This time, he knows exactly what is needed and he is delivering. He knows that this is his moment when Delhi is within reach for the party and all he has to do is to unleash the force in his cadres, which he has done by going ahead and announcing Modi as the PM candidate. At the same time, he is trying his best to become a unifying agent within the party so that it works as a single unit and not at cross purposes. So far, he has been successful except for the obstinate octagenerian.

LKA's rants against Rajnath are actually directed towards Modi, but he is trying to tell Rajnath that if you wished, you could have prevented Modi's elevation, but did not, despite my saying so!

BJP has to reintroduce ANTYODAY scheme of Atal Bihari Vajpatee for upliftment of weaker society respectable of other blocks/casts.

Sir do you think there aren't any sub castes within these so called SC/ST/OBCs?? there are many sub castes within this named "SC/ST" group just like in the"general" category tag that do not marry from other sub castes of SC/ST category because it is upper vs lower mentality there also. you think that Muslims are united? NO(shia/sunnis/bohras/barelvis/deobandis). No one is "united" in India. and they can never be. All we can do is peacefully "co exist" with each other. you know it is very true that Mayawati Ji does not have any problem with so called upper castes(her right hand is a so called brahmin Mr Mishra I guess) but she has major problem with the Yadavs who mind you are conveniently placed in the OBC bracket(despite the fact that all major posts in UP are held by them and they are not exactly "backward" in any real sense whatsoever). but what the hell...It is all about "vote banks". "You scratch mine and i will scratch yours" mentality.
Living and surviving in this country has become kind of a fight.you never know what could hit you the moment you wake up from sleep in the morning. either you bury your neck in sand like an ostrich or you fight. rich and poor gap/ religion gap/modernity vs conservatism/crony capitalism/castes war/communal fights/appeasements/corruption/loot everyone mindset/we dont care as long as it doesnt affect us... all this has taken its toll on Mother India.
But as you said..Indian society has to have faith in Bhartiyata. I respect that. But faith is fragile belief can be temorary. what is permanent is the Identity.and it is lack of "Identity" today for us which is the real worry.

Just about a minute before it ends, to a question from Shekhar Gupta about whether he feels any pain about what happened in 2002, Modi says that even if a flower shrivels, he feels the pain of it. About a month back the whole media went up in furore over his 'puppy' remarks. I think they need to be reminded of this because this is the perspective for it.

You have written prolifically and you might already have written about this. But if you have not, may I be audacious enough to suggest that you should?

  26. Ravinar,

Your observations about the "polarising" and "divisive" figure are apt. These descriptions of Modi are thrown around freely by our media guys, without them ever bothering to justify the reasons behind them. In fact, you have oft repeated sentences (like takiya kalams) of some media guys - e.g. Rajdeep, immediately after a convincing argument from a BJP spokesperson, when he cannot counter it, will say, "But many would say that Modi is a blah blah...." and immediately call an anti-Modi panelist to change the topic.

    Ditto with Nidhi Razdan!

May be Sagarika Ghose herself or her husband is worried that should there be liquor ban hence took the cause of the Uncle..... Instead as a journalist should understand that huge havoc that this liquor has caused to Indian families...and should be supporting liquor ban. On corollary, feel she must be habitual liquor drinker, else why she should be so concerned ??

Advani is a Sindhi and hate to say, he should gracefully quit politics and take sanyas. He is sulking for no one is supporting him as PM. It is said all Old men behave like child and hence to be admonished !!!!

  30. Ravinar,
A good article ( as usual ) and very euphoric comments . But I still fear the Ignorance, selective amnesia and mediocrity ' of our electorate. ( I do agree with Mr Katju on the comment of 90% of Indians being idiots.' but would be very glad to be proved wrong if and when Narendra Modi gets voted in as PM with a comfortable majority in the next lok sabha elections).
I have seen 8-10 elections and this country has always got shortchanged by petty issues and mediocrity.
Whilst everyone can and should continue to do their bit in ensuring a 'congress mukt bharat' - let us not be lax even for a moment.
There are many convoluted games and strategies being worked out by convoluted in congress ( and it is a matter of their survival ) - and the sympathy card being one of them .

You are quite right. Yet let us all be hopeful.

The scene now is like 1989.. when there was total anticongress wave and VP Singh became pm.

This time, Modi will become PM and certainly with a majority. Across caste, religion, social status everyone is fed up with Congress.

Let us all do our little bit by telling anyone and everyone we come across in daily life - to go out, vote and vote of course for BJP/NDA.

No sympathy card will work out. India has outgrown sympathy factor at national level. Though in individual states like Andhra the sympathy factor still works.

Let us all hope for the best..

  35. Here is the paradox- MSM channels have to keep the focus on Modi to earn a decent TRP rating (Rahul and Sonia do not have the capacity to earn it for them) but the incompetent morons of these channels who have gained their high positions and wealth by boot licking the dynasty have to necessarily continue denigrating Modi. This further fuels Modi's popularity. So the channels have no other choice but to continue to focus on Modi.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Absolutely hard-hitting & truthful. Very happy that somebody has the gumption to bring the misdeeds of MSM in a rightful and no-holds barred approach. Thanks Ravinar for the article. You have really given ammunition to a lot of people like me who otherwise prefer to only grumble about corrupt politicians looting the country of its resources and people of their self-esteem.

We all see a messiah in NaMo and going by my personal experience with his admin in Gujarat, I am fairly confident that NaMo would give definitely the cleanest govt., fairly more efficient administration, visionary leadership and who has the capacity to veer the country towards a truely super-power in all gamuts of development.

Sample this: We invited him for an inauguration of some important function wherein some 4000 farmers congregated. And the last assembly elections were round the corner. One would normally expect anybody in that position to use the opportunity to talk about elections and why one should vote for him. But NaMo was different. He came alone with no other appendages except for the concerned minister and only one IAS officer concerning the dept. Before starting his speech, he clarified some notes with him and spoke for exactly 20 min. and he spoke only on the subject bordered on science and how the concept can benefit million of farmers.

Sample 2: We work with his Govt. closely for subsidy related business. Mind you, in any other state, no files move without greasing the palms for getting the subsidy. Again NaMo govt.is different. At no point in the whole process, one needs to do any favour to anybody and the whole mechanism was run with crystal clear, transparent and on-line processes.

Perhaps, others can add more and more...Unfortunately good things in Gujarat has not been spread to other states and NaMo is in the news for all wrong reasons, again orchestrated by this self centered and biased media.

I feel, the onus lies in ordinary people like us to spread the right message to other truth seeking people and attempt to effect change in every possible way in the coming elections !

Certainly, a great country like India deserves a better leader to take the future challenges head-on and make sure that it becomes a 'developed nation' soon. Let us hope that no.of people who believe that NaMo is one such great leader, increase by every minute which would eventually help him get two-third majority by next year.

    Jai Hind!

  38. Dear Ravinar, a gem of an article as usual! I was out for quite some time and I relished reading your blogs which I missed for quite some time. The MSM would continue to do the damage even after NaMo comes to power as it is in their genes.

Remember the ABV tenure 1999-2004, one of the most efficient in the recent history of our beloved nation, the MSM was the real culprit playing along with the corrupt congis to bring down the efficient govt. It is a curse on all Indians and equal blame has to be taken by the educated middle class as they were subverted by the MSM in 2004. The sins our country is reaping for having voted out the NDA govt in the same year. NaMo shall never repeat the mistakes by ABV where he had failed to neutralise the MSM as well as the corrupt dynasty. Let our beloved nation grow to its glory! Bharat Mata ki Jai!

[iii] limited to certain section of society (- rattled by large presence of minorities in his meetings & doling out freebies to attract minorities)

[iv] limited to Hindi belt (- shocked by the success of NaMo's Hyderabad rally, started power cuts whenever NaMo is speaking)

Well if they are "ashamed to be called Indians because Modi was chosen as PM candidate" the please when Modi actually becomes PM can he see to it that these people no longer need to call themselves Indians? Kindly send them to some godforsaken Island. There must be such a lesson to the media that they will no longer dare to be biased. 50. I like your posts but this post has gone cheaper like MSM, to blame LKA. You are also not so difference to MSM that they like congress and you like Modi and use the words to show that who is the strongest supporter of a party or person.
Nobody in this India is like to hear what Advani is trying to say and in this 50 years of political experience he has not gone out to media about his reservations as well. That is the maturity he has, but the so called social media activists - Just shout on the media and they won't vote on the voting day. I don't know how many people has voter id and the discussion forum should be enabled only those who has voter ids.
I like Modi and I also want him to be PM but at the same time, not at the cost of Advani. In my view, what Advani is trying to say is, already Congress, Lefts & Media is targeting Modi in all the sides. On the ground, the elections are based on castes. State level parties has upper-hand than National parties. How many state level parties will support Modi, even his friend Jayalalitha will also not support during the election. So if the congress and bjp gets equal votes, all the other parties like TMC, lefts, SP, BSP, DMK etc., will support congress and they will form the government. So BJP will lose the power again.
Whatever it is Advani is acceptable few parties like SP, so if BJP would have projected Advani as PM and Modi as Deputy PM - you get both the party support and have a chance to win in the next election.
The major difference between BJP and other parties, BJP is a democratic party but Modi is autocratic. This is proved in the way he has been selected as PM candidate. Now there is no difference between Sonia & Modi and BJP will also become Namo praising party.
I don't think BJP (now Modi - no more party names) will get majority for the next election and BJP has again lost the chance. I wish Modi to become PM as the last democratic party in India also died.

    1. This is a ridiculous hypothesis. LKA has no logical objections to NaMo's nomination as the PM candidate. What one sees as autocratic others see as firm - it is a matter of perception and I suppose, victimhood. I have heard so many enlightened people, including CEOs, senior army officials and bureaucrats, who have had the chance to meet NaMo and interact with him and I have not heard one of them say anything negative about him. I personally believe that he is a yug purush and instead of seeing the largest danger confronting the nation, namely the Congress and the first family, LKA chooses to play his games. There comes a moment in everyone's life that one has to seize and rise above the ordinary. All of us are human but we all are confronted with occasions where we can rise above the ordinary. LKA, unfortunately, has let go of that moment and shown that his concern for the country and the party were a put on. Nothing that he does now can repair the damage that he has caused to the party and more importantly, to himself. Can he partially redeem himself? It remains to be seen.

      Delete
    2. You got it wrong. NaMo is not above criticism. It is healthy to discuss his drawbacks threadbare in the interest of BJP and the nation. Instead of restricting these concerns within the party, LKA opted to leak out his objections personally through his blogs and officially through leftist opportunists like Sudindra Kulkarni and pro congress media. This has rendered his intentions suspicious. The amateur but destructive MSM made merry to kill BJP's image.

LKA must have lambasted the MSM and opportunistic politicians at their new found love for him by reminding them that the issue was BJP's internal matter and these morons may tuck their tails deep between their legs. Had he done that, opponents would not have dared to ridicule BJP with LKA's mask. Instead, he offered to play in to the opposition's hands willingly betraying his party for which he is paying now. He sulks inwardly that Modi has grown beyond his expectations (which is true) and needs to be restrained (poor judgement). That is why he kept quiet when an ally (Nitish) humiliated his own party leader (Namo).

By his immature tantrums, LKA has self screwed himself. This may also drive fence sitters away from BJP.

    6. because...its stupidity, absurdity and untrue....and his utterances have led to the erosion of his base in the sangh ...what many see as extreme placation. People wouldn't have commented if he could have uttered the same on Moulana Azad or Ashfaqullah Khan...because there is a shred of truth in it. I do admire Advani ji for what he did to the party and how he led the party from 2-180 but such utterances are foolish.

    7. True. I do not support Advani's statement on Jinnah either.
My basis for the comment above was the connection many people have made between "Advani's objection to Modi" and "Advani's own personal ambition". Based on publicly available comments/data, this connection is unfounded.
What if Advani really believed that it will help BJP more if Modi gives the campaign fire-power and Sushma/ArunJ becomes PM?
Having said that, the way BJP resolved this fiery intra party difference, in a democratic and non-dynastic way, is really an inspiration.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Does this mean that Mr Modi should be accepted? Please do not justify one act of violence with another. Your argument that every politician is divisive and polariser thereby justifying Modi itself shows your bias. Just because Modi comes from humble beginnings and risen does not justify his act of omission and commission in 2002. His authoritarian streak, inability to accept dissent, not open and transparent is not the right traits of a great leader. I don't have to go on further as everyone knows about it.

We as citizens should fight divisiveness of every politician not only Modi. That should be the aim. That should also be the focus of media as well which it does not do. It is pity that we have come to state wherein we justify the criminal acts of a person by quoting another.

You don't have to go any further. Just read the ideological publications by RSS - you will get it on their website - and you have answer. Modi is RSS. Advani is RSS. Having said this, other parties are not holier than thou. They are as bad as BJP. We need to stand up to them. Not accept them.

    1. You Sir,....speaking like GOD!!!....someone like ultimate authority on morals, principles and scriptures.

Nobody is justifying acts of omission or commission. But the quintessential aspect of this blog is to point out elements in MSM who have gone crooked and have different set of standards when it comes to certain people. And by the way are you by any means implying that Sonia is not authoritarian, is as transparent as crystal and accepts dissent or whatever comes her way as a humble cow? But sadly sir we are in a world of relativity and laws of relativity equally applies in this case.

P.S. Every party has its own ideology unlike Congress which has none. Just because a certain ideology doesn't suit you .... doesn't have to be necessarily bad or demonic as you perceive. People who are in tune with a particular ideology joins with that group backing it...others dont...still others join later or come out of it later. It is as simple as that. In fact it is the essence of democracy.

    2. The objective of this blog is to expose the treachery of MSM of India in Ravi's perception. I think his reference to politicians in this blog is only to highlight how the politicos-MSM nexus has been cheating us public with convoluted stories as news. In a long drawn narrative, his personal preferences that he hold in a moral high ground may have a pronounced mention, to make a point - which you are free to ignore. Please remember this remains his personal blog though he encourages comments.

There is no compulsion for you to accept 'divisive' Modi. Why then sound politically correct by wisecracking 'other parties are as bad as BJP' ! I welcome your 'left'ous indignation to stand up against RSS. Attempt to stand up first without any bias. You will realise who is actually preventing you from getting up!

  53. If these moron are so sure that Modi was the main culprit in 2002 riots why do they ask him to apologize. Just file and FIR against him prove in court that he was the main culprit and hang him. Why ask for an apology when the law of the land allows them to convict him if found guilty. But they won't do that because they will loose and they know that..which is why they keep on asking for an apology. Why did Barkha Dutt and Vir ji not apologize when they were asked to for their alleged crimes...When it came to them they said law will take it own course. SHAME SHAME!!! Why do they not project that since 1997 BJP has been the single largest party in LS. Teach people about new jobs and agriculture and various ways to make people earn their own living. shows on science and arts are become very rare now a days. either politics or bollywood nothing else in this Indian news channel.
