CSDS Commie Wolves



Recently, the issue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh being termed a “terrorist” in some Delhi University books came up in the media. This is nothing new and many have known about it for long. When asked about it the Commie Boss of CPM Sitaram Yechury stated “It is just colonial legacy” which needs correction. Really? That is all? Just colonial legacy? Truth is, the Commies have dominated the misinformation and distortion of history in our school books and other publications and carried on this crime for over 60 years. Just check how Mughal criminals were glorified in Bengal text books. Almost all institutions that deal with Indian History has been infested like Wolves with Commies, thanks to Nehru and the fake Gandhis. They have systematically tarred our heroes, especially Hindu heroes and glorified mass murderers and villains. These are the Wolves that now whine about “Intellectuals” being under threat under ModiSarkar.

Madhu Kishwar (MK), a prominent critic of Narendra Modi-turned-fact-finder-turned-admirer, was recently at the receiving end of discrimination by such Commie Wolves that infest the organisation called CSDS (Centre for Study of Developing Societies). This CSDS grandly claims they are commonly popular as “The Centre” on their website. You know, you get down at Delhi station and ask the auto or taxi guy to take you to “The Centre” they will take you to CSDS. Okay? We’ll get to this in a bit. Through a web article of MK I came to learn about a Commie whining more about intolerance and how historians are suffering under ModiSarkar. On the page I saw a pic of Karl Marx and I knew where the article was headed. But wait! The guy wasn’t Karl Marx; his name is Sanjay Subrahmanyam. I had never heard of him but my education about Commie jerks is a never-ending agony. Here are some of the questions he was asked in a TOI article called “Real people are censored” (Don’t laugh, that is seriously the title):

Is history being used in India today for political purposes?
When you see what happened to Wendy Doniger's book, are you worried about the fate of intellectuals today?
How do you react to historian Ramachandra Guha's recent statement that this is the most anti-intellectual government India has ever had?
Is this government failing to protect Indian pluralism?
Does the Indian public discourse today worry you?

I was laughing and wondering who concocts such fallacies and idiotic questions. I had made a rare mistake in my reading-life. I forgot to read the name of the writer of this garbage. It had to be the extreme C5M Sagarika Ghose. After that, all my joy of wide-eyed surprise simply disappeared. These Commies who call themselves intellectuals and berate everyone who challenges them are in reality just Scaredy-Chicks. I remember Arun Shourie, who challenged these Commies, had a hard time publishing his first book. Such is the grip on public discourse and publishing by the Commies and yet they whine like pigs because the corrupt party that kept their bottoms warm has lost power. In “Eminent Historians” Shourie narrates how a guy flares up and throws tantrums just because he was asked to account for his travel expenses properly. We all remember Amartya Sen throwing tantrums and threatening to quit Nalanda because he was asked about financial accountability. These are the Commie intellectuals! Want to live on public money but don’t want accountability.

In the TOI article I just mentioned, this Sanjay Marx refers to Madhu Kishwar as a “BJP” intellectual. She maybe an intellectual but why a BJP intellectual? Are these Scardy-Chicks then Congress Intellectuals or Maoist Intellectuals? Their whining is eternal. Here’s how and why MK became an untouchable in the very Commie circles that she had worked relentlessly for years:

It’s that interview with Modi followed by a book – all prior to LS2014 – that marked MK as “Unacceptable” and “Untouchable” in the very circles she worked for ages. Here’s the problem her organisation called “The Centre” also known as CSDS heaped on her with ignominy (excerpts from MK’s legal notice to CSDS):

“That on 03.12.2015, my client received a communication from the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) informing her that she has been awarded the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship for two years period starting 2016; as a “recognition” of her “pre-eminent scholarship… That before my client, Prof Ashis Nandy and Prof DL Sheth as recipients of the same fellowship in the years 2006 and 2009 respectively, were granted CSDS affiliation without the least fuss by the CSDS. Prof D L Sheth, Prof Ashis Nandy and Prof V B Singh continue to be provided affiliation as well as office space and other support systems at CSDS even though they have retired in May 2001, 2002 and 2005 respectively. The presence and guidance of these seniors is a huge asset for CSDS.

The CSDS has over the years granted affiliation to countless scholars, including those from outside the Centre. Even in 2014-15, the following ICSSR and UGC scholars were given affiliation: That to her utter shock and dismay, on 11.01.2016, my client learnt from you the noticee, that grant of her affiliation will depend on the approval of the Faculty Standing Committee. It is noteworthy that the existing Rules neither envisaged the placing of the applications for affiliation before the Faculty Standing Committee nor mandated the approval of the said Committee”.

In short, MK, who retired from CSDS on April 30 was denied Affiliation by CSDS despite their funders ICSSR granting her such status. This is nothing short of brazen Commie discrimination. Such affiliation has been granted to hundreds of persons (including foreigners) by CSDS and MK is the first one to be denied this citing some fraudulent internal committee on such decisions. The reasons are quite obvious. The CSDS grandly puts up this disclaimer on its website:

I don’t see any reason or need for such a disclaimer but the fact is most of the CSDS operators are political pimps of either the Congress or the Commies – both same in meaning. That MK chose to dig into facts over Gujarat and the campaign against Modi is the reason she is being discriminated against and penalised. She has a natural and moral right to her affiliation, her right to work and be funded for it the same way many redundant political-activists do at CSDS. This organisation proudly boasts of political hacks like Yogendra Yadav and Ashis Nandy among others. Nandy had to recently apologise to SC for his bogus tirade against Modi and Gujarat. For long the Commies have carried out a systematic campaign against BJP and Modi with fraudulent issues and here’s a show where MK brilliantly nails the lies of MonkeyBalancer and StreetThug Rajdeep Sardesai on his campaign of lies (Video 4.3o mins):

Rajdeep is not the only one. The entire Commie gang that calls itself “Intellectuals” indulged in this fraudulent campaign, gave themselves awards and truck-loads of money. Now they whine about being targeted under ModiSarkar. Again a fraudulent whine – Non-Commies are still being discriminated against and penalised by Commie outfits like CSDS and many others. The public, through the ICSSR, funds the CSDS. Don’t be surprised that it is also funded by the Ford Foundation. Lately, anyone who has heard of FF would know about their evil agenda and their preference for foot-soldiers who will peddle that agenda. Looks like MK refuses to be a part of that political agenda which CSDS so deceptively claims it doesn’t have in its bogus disclaimer. And that is the reason she is being made to pay such a heavy price.

How Commie Pigs destroy truth, tar Hinduism and Hindus and their culture can be seen by how they treated their own scholars. Read this excerpt from VoiceOfDharma on the Criminal Commie conspiracy. It will stun you how they trash real scholars who have the courage to speak the truth (emphasis mine):

The Party came down upon them like a ton of bricks. It called a seminar, Marxism on Vedanta, in which Dange had to confess his errors and eat crow.  Deshpande’s book published by a society in Bombay was withdrawn from circulation”.

For all the ruckus at JNU or FTII or Jadavpur University, the Commies have destroyed all possibilities of any challenge to their bogus ideology and failed political system. So much so that they can’t even stomach a simple movie being screened at some of their Commie lairs and hide-outs:

That’s a movie about a Naxalite Professor brainwashing his students. Little jokers like Sagarika whine about Wendy Doniger or that Sanjay Marx or Distortian Guha rants about intolerance and intellectuals suffering under ModiSarkar. Truth is that the Commies have a history of crying wolf and destroying every factual account in history. The CSDS Commie Wolves just added another chapter to it with their illegitimate decision on Madhu Kishwar. The GOI must intervene and end this nonsense of such discrimination.

Education



John Sculley was a top executive at Pepsi and had everything going for him. At a time when Steve Jobs and his partner (Steve Wozniak) were just putting Apple together Jobs wanted Sculley to join the company and be its CEO. A hesitant Sculley was persuaded by a question that is now a famous quote: “Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water or do you want a chance to change the world”? It’s often not where you started but where you finish that counts. Jobs had dropped out of college because he felt his calling lay elsewhere. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard the day he spotted an edition of the “Popular Electronics” magazine with a home-computer on its cover in 1975. He and his partner (Paul Allen) met the computer manufacturer and offered to write software for it. In one of his books Gates mentions that he felt he had nothing more to learn from Harvard. Both Jobs and Gates dropped out of college not because they were bad students or bad learners. They dropped out because they had their own visions.

So when Smriti Irani was appointed HRD Minister some folks questioned her educational qualifications for the job. The harsh criticism mostly came from Madhu Kishwar (an anti-Modi turned Pro-Modi activist) and Ajay Maken of the Congress. Naturally, our media then made a big story out of a petty issue. The response to Ajay Maken was easy because no Congi even has the moral or legitimate authority to raise this question as I tweeted him thus:


It is easy to dismiss a nit-picking politician but that does not answer the question if Smriti’s education or rather lack of it will be a hindrance to her new job. Some analogies that came to the defence of Smriti are also frivolous like this one from “Item-girls” specialist Suhel Seth:

Anyone who has read about Gates would know that he was a child prodigy with software designing and meddling with computers. He used to indulge in that since age 9. And when he saw the opportunity in software while still in Harvard he had a clear vision that one day every desk will have a computer. Classifying Gates as “not educated” is a silly defence for Smriti. Gates had a clear vision which has been borne out by the success of his company and by the fact that many desks in the world do have a computer now. There’s an old joke at Harvard where the Head tells professors: “Be kind to your “A” students because they will come back and be your colleagues. Be kind to your “B” students because they will be prominent public figures like politicians, lawyers. But be particularly kind to your “C” students because they will come back and donate money to our institution”. In other words, even top business schools mostly know which students are likely to succeed in which domain of life. Maybe Smriti had a talent for theatre and acting and maybe that’s why she dropped out of school.

I must mention here that I am only going by reports that she is 12th pass and I won’t bother verifying because it is immaterial to me. If she has filed any affidavits that claim differently that is for scrutiny and for her to clarify. In companies we often tell even the best MBAs “You may be an MBA but imagine you are only 12th pass, you will work like there is no tomorrow and find success”. But the question about Smriti’s education in terms of handling a ministry like HRD is not entirely invalid. After all, what we want to understand is even if she is going to be advised and receive a lot of counsel on policy-making will she be able to comprehend many concepts that form the basis for a good educational policy and HR development? Some with great degrees failed to comprehend good advice. Some with zero formal education who had to start to start with a zero base have often done better jobs. Time will tell.

That brings us to the question on what exactly is education? And that is the true purpose of this post. In simple terms education is a process of acquiring knowledge and skills to face life situations. Schools and colleges are a uniform formal system for such education for the masses. Each stage is a qualifying process for the next. Primary qualifies one for middle school, middle school for higher secondary, higher secondary for college and college for post-graduate and on it goes. This “assembly line” mass education is indeed meant for the masses to offer them enough knowledge and skills to make a reasonable citizen who can make an honourable living. But this system need not be the only one where knowledge and skills are acquired. Many who have found greater success in life have acquired such knowledge and skills from other sources. From the streets, from family, from friends, from experience and, most of all, from their own imagination, curiosity and dreams. At a starting point we tend to respect formal degrees a lot more. For other people we tend to respect their performance outcomes. But in the end in both cases it is finally the performance that counts and earns respect.

Just as Gates was a child prodigy in software, Smriti may have been a child prodigy in acting. Gates has contributed a lot more money to the world than many banks have. Sculley was selling Pepsi but shifted to computers. The reason is simple: Basic principles of sales and marketing remain the same regardless of the product or service. Has Smriti had her education in other ways than formal schooling? The answer would be yes because whatever knowledge and skills she acquired through her own pursuit brought her success. Did she migrate to politics successfully? The answer is yes; she joined politics and became an MP. Whether publicly elected or elected to the RS, she has demonstrated the knowledge and skill to get there. A renowned management firm is known to have once stated that after years of research they discovered there are only two indisputable truths “Water flows down and performance counts”. We have known people to migrate to different domains and responsibilities successfully. Smriti’s test starts now and time will tell whether she was the right choice for the job.

The outrage in some circles both ways; rubbishing Smriti and also dismissing anyone questioning her education stems from at least one possible reason and that is our most educated public figures have performed badly. In particular, people in govt and media with high qualifications from abroad have disappointed. The Macaulay Putris and Putras have heaped most scorn on ordinary Indians. Take a look at Sagarika Ghose:

It doesn’t occur to Sagarika that she spouts the same kind of filth that Mani Aiyar disburses with unrelenting frequency. She and Mani Aiyar are from the same Oxbridge clan. Mani Aiyar has been a darling at her channel for years and a regular panellist. Suddenly, Sagarika discovers Mani Aiyar is “foul mouthed” but didn’t have the guts to say it all this time when Congress was in govt. And why the comparison with Mani Aiyar at all? Why not with Rajdeep Sardesai or Barkha Dutt? They are all from the same clan but it is convenient to trash Mani Aiyar now for Sagarika because he has become irrelevant.

Education is not a limited venture or project. It’s a continuous life-long process. The purpose of formal or informal education is to make our children life-long learners. Any system or policy that contributes to it can do so through many different people with different education and abilities. Our job is to just keep learning. As for Smriti, water flows down, performance counts. That’s it.

Why 2002 Will Haunt Rajdeep & Barkha



In October 2012 the queen of trolls, Barkha Dutt, wrote an article titled “A Roshomon Effect”. For all those who don’t follow Japanese, that’s from a movie by Akiro Kurosawa. In short, what BD wanted to tell the world was there could be multiple sides to a ‘truth’. Not much to worry about that except that this propagandini believes only “her side” is the truth. I wrote a response to her nonsense under “Bark in the USA” Let’s do a quick recap from the first on BD’s first shot in her article:

“As a journalist you train yourself to treat both accolades and abuse with the same level of levity; you tell yourself over and over again to not take yourself seriously and you even learn, eventually, to laugh at yourself. You understand that being in the public gaze inevitably comes with being viewed through a coloured prism — whether rose-tinted or jaundiced. And you develop the ability to lightly shrug off the distortions of a persona foisted on you by others”.

That para is from BD’s article and my comment on that is given below:

“Read that opening paragraph carefully. Read again please. Did you? Alright, in the very opening you are declared a prejudiced, jaundiced abuser if you’re not one showering accolades on BD. Smart, eh? Since when is “abuse” the antonym of “accolades”? ‘Bouquet and brickbats’ is a common phrase but ‘Accolades and abuse’? And then the “persona” is foisted by others? It has nothing to do with what the individual herself has done? The opposite of accolades could be censure, rebuke, denunciation, reprimand, criticism but it’s highly unlikely that you will find “abuse” as an antonym. Talk about “perceptions”. Hey, how about: “If you’re not with me, you’re an abuser"?

That’s what brings me to write this post merely for the record. As an Amdavadi I have seen many riots, big and small. I have also stated that the Congress party has a history of fomenting communal riots in the state when any non-political agitation is unmanageable. For a sample read “Digvijay’s desperate and dangerous communal call”. I have been a witness to part of the Gujarat 2002 riots too. What was different in 2002 was the skulduggery of reporters with an agenda to overthrow the NDA govt of AB Vajpayee. Among the scumbags who most indulged in fear-mongering and indulged in hyper-ventilating were, naturally, Rajdeep Sardesai and Barkha Dutt. Two of the most journalistically-corrupt media persons of our times. In September 2011 when the SC didn’t accept the plea to prosecute Modi and returned the petition of Zakia Jafri to the lower court here is what I wrote under “SC exposes media’s clean shit”:

“On the morning of March 1, 2002 if you had walked the streets of the relatively posh western parts of Ahmedabad you wouldn’t believe what had happened while you were sleeping. You could see shops and restaurants that were burned overnight. All these shops had such names – Bhagyoday, Kabir, National and so on – all belonged to muslims, and this was a predominantly Hindu area. While there was property damage there was no report of people being killed in the area. Even residents of Ahmedabad had no idea of the scale of the riots that were going on. And then suddenly on the scene bursts Barkha Dutt and then Rajdeep Sardesai (both with Starnews then) and some more.

Hour after hour after hour we hear the most horrific stories of mass killings all over the state. In cities, towns, villages and even on highways. Words like mass murder, genocide, pogrom start to gain currency in some quarters. Were there terrible killings? You bet, some of it very horrible. But the kind of dramatic and hysterical reporting on TV was no more news reporting. It was almost fanning the flames. So much so that in some areas some TV channels had to be shut down to contain the provocation. As in the case of war, even in an unfortunate communal riot such as this, ‘truth’ is the first casualty. The numbers-killed story was generously sprinkled with imagination of people being raped, foetuses ripped and more by the media. I can safely say that the response to the Godhra train burning was spontaneous. The Gulbarg case which has become prominent because of the widow of Ehsan Jafri, killed by mobs, were attacks by mobs that would have been difficult to handle by any police force given that many other parts of Ahmedabad were equally badly affected. For all this to make one man singularly responsible could not have been anything but an agenda driven media. This agenda had to be surely backed by political forces and extraordinary influx of funds. This is where the witch hunt of Narendra Modi started”.

The drama and excessive nonsense of both Rajdeep and Barkha are clearly etched in my memory. Both these people were also involved in the excessive chest-beating during the Kandahar episode in 1999. I call their reporting nothing short of criminal. These are among the top reasons why I even started this blog. It’s almost three years since the SC ruling of 2011. Here’s the other side of the truth since Barkha likes to talk about multiple sides. This time it is from the horse’s mouth. It is Narendra Modi’s version of the behaviour of Barkha and Rajdeep and he bears out exactly what I wrote three years ago (3.15 mins):

That was Modi in an informal conversation with Madhu Kishwar, journalist and social activist. Please do note, Modi says he called either Rajdeep or Barkha to tone down their inflammatory reporting. Neither of them has denied this. I can vouch for the fact that both RS and BD were doing exactly that. If they want to prove otherwise, they should put out tapes of their criminal reporting for the world to see. They won’t! Here’s a transcript of Modi’s statement from the Manushi site:

“It was my endeavour that we restore peace at the earliest possible. If you look at the data you will see that in 72 hours we had put down the riots and brought the situation under control. But these TV channels kept on playing up the same incidents over and over again. At the time, Rajdeep and Barkha were in the same channel NDTV. During those inflamed days, Barkha acted in the most irresponsible manner. Surat had not witnessed any communal killings, barring a few small incidents of clashes. However the bazaars were closed [as a precautionary measure]. Barkha stood amidst closed shops screaming “This is Surat’s diamond market, but there is not a single police man here.”

I phoned Barkha and said, “Are you providing the address of this “unprotected” bazaar to the rioting mobs? Are you inviting them to come and create trouble there by announcing that there is no police here so you can run amok safely?” In a second incident in Anjar, she played up the news that a Hanuman mandir had been broken and vandalized. I told her, “What are you up to? You are in Kutch which is a border district. There you are showing the attack and destruction of a mandir. Do you realize the implications of broadcasting such news? We haven’t yet recovered from the earthquake. Have you actually done proper investigation into the riots? Why are you lighting fires for us? Your news takes a few minutes to broadcast that such and such place is unprotected or a mandir has been vandalized. But it takes for me a few hours to move the police from one disturbed location to another since these incidents are breaking out in the most unexpected places.”

What is worse, when I got the matter enquired into by the local police, we found out that it was a small, insignificant structure under a tree which had been damaged a little bit by some crazy individual. But NDTV presented it as an attack on a Hanuman mandir. When the fires were raging these journalists were pouring fuel on those fires.On that day I had put a ban on TV channels because they were actually provoking trouble.  But it was only for one day. Since Rajdeep Sardesai was among the leading reporters covering the disturbances, I phoned him to say, “I will have to put a temporary ban on your channel if you continue with the provocative coverage. There is a well-established regulation that media should not name communities during communal riots nor identify a damaged placed as a mandir or masjid. Why are you violating that code and well set protocol about not naming communities or identifying places, of worship? You are going against established norms.”

Barkha tweeted she was never in Surat. Doesn’t matter, it’s either one of them and talking off-hand after 12 years can have errors. But Modi did call one of them he claims. Following their criminal reporting during the Kandahar episode and then Gujarat 2002 many have been convinced that both RS and BD were “motivated”. Those days, the number of news channels were fewer. If you are wondering where Arnab Goswami was during the 2002 reporting; he was in the studios doing the pimping for the ground reporting for the other two. Since then I have called this trio the lowest BAR (Barkha, Arnab, Rajdeep) in TV journalism.Following the 2002 episode NDTV grew wealthy enough to break from Star News and launch a channel under their brand. I don’t know how they got the funds. Do you? And despite consistent losses over the years NDTV survives. That story will come out someday. Since then Prannoy, Barkha and Rajdeep have become exceptionally wealthy. RS and BD were also showered with Padma awards by SoniaG’s govt for their glorious services during Kandahar and Gujarat 2002. A day will come when the story of 2002 will not haunt Modi but many in the MSM and other filthy NGOs. The Holy Ghost also comes in the form of truth. And that truth will first piss them off.
