Unchained Corrupt

How many know that they were once known as the ABC of Tennis? – Vijay Amritraj, Bjorn Borg and Jimmy Connors. At times Amritraj was far better than the other two. In 1973 Amritraj beat the legendary Rod Laver in the US Open to lose later to the final winner Ken Rosewall. At Wimbledon, he was two sets up against defending champion Borg in 1979 and up 4-1 in the fourth set before losing the match. He was two sets up against Connors at Wimbledon 1981  but lost the last 3 sets to lose in five. He had also beaten Borg in 1974 at the US Open. One has to wonder how a talented and skilled player like Amritraj could lose after being two sets up so often. They used to attribute his losses to lack of “Killer instinct”. In a match, when the opponent is down, you don’t give him a toe hold at the door. Vijay Amritraj will rue those missed chances forever.

That’s true for BJP too. A severe lack of “killer instinct” to destroy the enemies of India and the corrupt. In 1977 the “Khichdi” govt of Janata Party couldn’t prosecute IndiraG for her Emergency-crimes because there were power-hungry individuals and IndiraG could easily bring down the govt. She returned to power because of the stupid infighting among these individuals. Then during the ABV govt, SoniaG brought it down once. ABV returned to power with greater strength as also the Kargil victory. Yet, the corrupt Congis and their heads weren’t put away. There is hardly any doubt that the ABV govt let the Bofors crooks get away. ABV too harped heavily on development and “Sabka Saath”. What happened? BJP-NDA got thrown out in 2004.

Development alone does not sell with the Indian public – Social issues are equally important for the electorate. ModiSarkar does not seem to learn this. Harping only on development, Modi has ignored social issues and conspiracies and reacted very late. From Christians under attack to the GauRakshak issue, ModiSarkar has allowed fake campaigns and conspiracies to spiral out of control. Modi started with a “CongressMuktBharat” campaign coupled with promise of strong action against the corrupt. Now Venkiah Naidu says “we don’t want CongressMuktBharat”. Take that! That’s the killer instinct of BJP. Still, that is not a problem. On every social issue the BJP has done nothing but fire-fighting, especially at events by the PM, rather than proactively destroying conspiracies and pulling up the conspirators, particularly in the media.

There is a certain element of cowardice in the manner in which BJP ministers and spokies approach issues in public discourse. They suffer a severe inferiority complex and lack confidence. This, even when they can easily dismatle the lies as people on SM do. And the other arms of the party also start firefighting as this tweet suggests:

BJP ministers and members should know that except for a handful of allies they have (one of them a constant tantrum-thrower) every other party, large parts of media, anti-national NGOs and activists are ranged against them. Most of the anti-BJP block is also funded and directed by foreign agencies. Given that, ModiSarkar has constantly pulled back in fear of acting against the corrupt. The very cornerstone of Modi’s campaign – Punishing the corrupt and being a “Chowkidar” of the national treasury. He promised to do it in one year:

Yes! That’s the promise he made. But we all know politicians indulge in hyperbole and excessive chest-thumping. For instance, Modi saying he will pack all illegal Bangladeshis in NE and send them back home. BJP let Vijay Mallya escape from right under their noses. They are unwilling to prosecute a corrupt channel like NDTV whose boss, Prannoy Roy, doesn’t even respond to IT notices. And on the terror-front, it took Bangladesh to tell ModiSarkar that “Little ZakirNaik” is a terror-preacher. He too has escaped and gone abroad. ModiSarkar is still sleeping over many such criminals floating around. Like with many other cases, it is Subramaniam Swamy who is battling the corrupt all alone.

That NDTV has laundered money or involved in financial scams is long in the public domain. Blessed by the former FM P. Chidambaram, ModiSarkar seems to be protecting rather than prosecuting the corrupt. Even in the case of Karti PC ModiSarkar seems to be shielding him. The lame actions (or inaction) out of fear is narrated by MD Nalapat writing in the SundayGuardian:

By the start of 2013, most voters accepted as fact the BJP’s incessant cry of the UPA government being a collection of the corrupt. However, since coming into office on 26 May 2014, there has not even been an FIR filed against any senior member of the Manmohan Singh Cabinet, much less a prosecution. Even action against those ministers which had been initiated under the UPA appears to have slowed. This is being touted by the Congress as “proof” that the many BJP allegations made in the past of their misconduct were mere political hyperbole. Sonia Gandhi has indeed been having to face a spot of bother over National Herald, but that has been due to an individual acting in his private capacity and not the government. Had the newly installed Modi government launched prosecutions in 2014 itself of top all-India leaders of the Congress, the worst that could have happened was precisely what took place: Congress non-cooperation in Parliament”.

And Modi keeps on harping about “Consensus” and such lame tactics. This is the first party to receive a clear majority and mandate from the people since 1984. Yet, it doesn’t seem to give any courage or confidence to ModiSarkar to act firmly. Among other things, this is what he is mouthing incessantly:

People did not give you 282+ to do everything on consensus. Maybe on national security or foreign policy issues some consensus might make sense. But seeking consensus in everything simply means making laws and policies that suit your opponents more than what suits and is right for India. Don’t take the title of “Mahatma Modi”, as some of your Bhakts call you, all that seriously. Nobody wants you to play Mahatma. Consensus can exist among thieves also.

A gang of 4 thieves share the loot equally regardlesss
of who  brings how much loot. That’s consensus and
sharing equally is a good Value system.
But it DOES NOT make stealing and looting a sound principle.

ModiSarkar needs to operate on sound principles and not bogus consensus. Before LS2014 some folks from BJP too wanted a weaker mandate. They were called the 160Club. They were hoping that such a lower number of seats would lead to a coalition which would keep Modi out of PMship. People wanted nothing of that sort and gave a clear mandate and their choice of PM was also clear. ModiSarkar, especially some of his incompetent ministers are unwilling to imagine this situation:

Imagine Congress had got 282. What would they have done?
They would have run amok and made all kinds of laws and policies
and cared two hoots for consensus.

A few days back, Congi foot-soldier Sachin Pilot was blabbering on NDTV that this is not a liberal govt and its only agenda is Hindutva. A dumb Sambit Patra listened to this nonsense without any counter to it. Media morons keep blabbering all kinds of nonsense as do the Congis. Has ModiSarkar made any law or policy yet that reflects Hindutva? Has ModiSarkar reversed or modified any law or policy that is discriminatory towards Hindus? (Like the RTE or Temple laws?) NO! ModiSarkar has done no such thing. Whether its UCC, Article 370 or any such issue, ModiSarkar has not moved one single inch and nobody is finding faults on that front. But to go easy on the corrupt is a national issue on which no consensus can be had. For instance, what stops ModiSarkar from a Central law banning cow slaughter? This, when even Congis have no alternative but to support it:

Increasingly, ModiSarkar looks more and more like the previous regime on social issues and where Hindutva is concerned. There is not much to distinguish it except the fact that this is govt without any corruption or scams so far. But keeping the corrupt unchained does leave a serious question on the willingness and courage of ModiSarkar to act decisively. It appears more like protecting and shielding the corrupt, rather than prosecuting them.

  1. Ravinarji, it is really sad to see the 56" nationalist become a half-tiger half-pussy cat. Every day Modi keeps quiet, the anti-Modi gang of AAPCON-media will launch more ferocious attacks. With 2.5 years left, time for Modi to launch an all-out war. Send the Italian and her chamchas to jail, shut down NDTV, kick the NGOs out and smack the judiciary on the face. That will scare the pants out of the liberals. If he doesn't do it and continues to allow Jetlee to play with NDTV, then 2019 will be repeat of 2004, no doubt of it.

    2. Modi & his home minister has far more information than the writer to take a judicious decision. They understand, filing cases without adequate evidence will backfire, though the charges are good for propaganda. Those who are convinced of congress crimes, should pursue the court cases on their own, like Swamy, who mostly loses his legal battles, in spite of huge support of powerful lobby.

  2. Excellent article sir, giving words to the thoughts of so many who voted for Modi in 2014.
I hope Modi reads Ur blog to get an understanding abt the feelings in his support base, and takes corrective action. In absence of that, I shudder to think abt Congress returning to power; and then am sure they would go for no holds barred approach to Implement the agenda of their foreign puppet masters.Thats very scary.

Really excellent article.Crores of people are thinking on the same lines.People like me are really frustrated ,dejected ,disillusioned with Modi & his acts .I wrote a personal letter almost like the above one ,got acknowledgement from PMO.But nothing changed .The main culprit in all scams of UPA is M M Singh ex PM .He should have been booked ling back .Then all truth would have come out .But this spineless &useless Govt lost the killing instinct .Had Cong had the same 282 ,Modi would have been in Jail the next moment .Hope better wisdom will prevail at least now on MODI&his Govt after reading this excellent article &act swiftly without any further delay .Otherwise BJP has to forget winning 2019 elections .

    2. The problem with Modi is, he is a firsttime MP and PM.The Lutyens' eco system ans support system in the South West North East Blocks will hinder/block his good intentions.
It appears he is trying to win over these elemwets and not succeeding .
But backing him is the only choice. other option is anti Hindu anti National dark future.

    3. Backing him is of no use,we have already backed him and he is not able to act decisively and seems to be petrified and is out of depth.
Through out my life I disliked Indira Gandhi but now I have to admit that the lady had the courage to take tough decisions like Bangladedh war, operation Blue Staretc.
God forbid that Modi has ever to face such difficult situation where sheer iron guts and courage of highest order is required I have my doubts whether Modi would be able to display the daring matching that of Indira Gandhi.
I am afraid our idol surely has coonfirmed feet of clay.
At the same lacks he lacks the wisdom and political cunning of Shri PV Narsimha Rao.
Modi has been total disappointment and doubt whether he can perform wonders in remaining period of NDA rule

  27. It is his typical style to appear to be timid.
I have been following him since Modi & Shankar Singh Vaghela were fast friends (Even today they are but with opposite political liaisons), he allows the media & the corrupt to speak whatever nonsense they would want to only to be later find themselves smacked with BS on their face.

What we saw at JNU & Jadavpur universities would have never been known to us under CONgress regime, what we are seeing at Kashmir would have been easily blacked out under CONgress regime & whatever lies they are spreading under the garb of Dalit protection will also be exposed among the citizens & I think Indians do have some little amount of maturity to differentiate between the corrupt and honest.

Also need to know that the SC is also one of the biggest hurdle for India's development, didn't you see what happened at Uttarakhand & Arunachal Pradesh? & we have a series of mysterious deaths taking place of rebel CONgress leaders with the latest being Kalikho Pul.

Ek Modi kya kya dekhe ga, give him some time, he will surely emerge as the best bet.....

  28. BJP had started with nationalist issues (370 & uniform civil code)..cornered nationalist votebank...then they went on to add Hindu votes with Ram Mandir issue, this brought them to around 160 seats... then came Modi with his dev agenda and added neo middle class and development vote bank and helped BJP achieve 280. Congress meanwhile always had secular, backward (both eco and social) votebanks...each kept fearful of others & isolated...
What I guess, Modi is trying is to do, is snatch economically & socially backward vote from congress with its pro poor budgets and dalits outreach...hence we see this tug-of-war for dalits votes with congress trying to create modi/rss fear in minds of dalits...
So if Modi manages to snatch most of dalit votes...then its end-game for congress as secular vote as well may dissipate to regional parties...Infact i guess this is very aggressive/daring vision BJP & RSS attempted...remember Modi & RSS never spoke out when cow-vigilanties were attacking muslims or others...but only did when its dalits at receiving end.

btw putting congress crooks in jail may happen but only when cong is finished...no point in doing it now and allowing them to take victimization line.

  29. Steal a few lakh rupees and you get arrested, dragged to the police station and given the third degree treatment. But make it in lakhs of crores like the UPA scam ridden govt did, and you know the result. Lesson: Crime pays if you make it big enough.

ABV made the colossal mistake of trusting Brajesh Mishra to do his thinking for him. And Mishra made sure ABV would never win again. How? By deliberately botching the Indian Airlines plane hijack. Amritsar control room reported that Mishra told them on the phone to let the plane fly off. Mishra of course denied doing any such thing and the Amritsar guys unaccountably decided to shut up. The plane flew off from Amritsar, and with it ABV's political future.

Same way Modi's trusted Trojan Horse will open its belly at the opportune moment. And once Sonia gets back into power Modi will rot in jail forever. People who were chucked into jail by the Sonia govt are still rotting there, without any chargesheet or bail. Recall any names? Prithvi Raj Chauhan learned the hard way that it never pays to be generous to the defeated enemy. Ditto the CONgs after the 1965 and 1971 wars. But they did learn this lesson, at least w.r.t. their domestic opponents. Modi is refusing to learn probably because he doesn't want to make his opponents a bunch of martyrs. I would prefer martyrs serving long terms in jail rather than they coming back to loot us again. Once the crooks in media, bureaucracy and judiciary realise that the old order is indeed finished will they stop playing footsie with these anti-nationals.

Ayodhya temple locks were opened by Rajiv Gandhi for whatever reasons may be but it came to be for Hindus. It is meant for people and readers and what they consume from the media or public discourse. The more people are aware, they will make more considered choices on many issues. That is the objective of the blog. If I were to write only for specific persons or a party, I too would be writing worthless Open Letters like many do. That is not the objective of this blog.

  37. There are 2 issues here --

    1) Bringing political corrupt to justice -- I don't think Modi can do anything here - the fundamental problem is CBI or Courts have not much credibility like in US FBI or their courts -- so by BJP pursuing this aggressively get nothing out of it, infact it is only going to fireback at them with oppositions propoganda screaming and stopping parliament sessions -- which interns is going to damage BJP as it will come of as a party who couldnt even run parliament smoothly -- Also putting 1 or 2 politicians in jail what does that really achieve? Lalu is convicted and see what has that achieved really? Who has won Bihar and back in power.. Acting on emotions to loose power is really really stupid thing to do..

If anything BJP needs to be congratulated on this front for managing parliament past session very well!!

    2) Social issues like dadri or gau rakshak -- the problem here is modi come off more and more like a philosopher and less like a angry young man.. he drags on his speeches for 2-3 paras where it can be said in 1 lines...

for example take gau rakshak -- isnt it easier to say "anyone who breaks law need to goto jail whether it is people who are breaking beef ban law Or people who are beating up dalits?" but he seems to have a lost fire in his voice

most political class irrespective of party and spokies are mediocre talent, u cant expect much from them
one simple solution like many have suggested is to simply have daily PMO press meet like how whitehouse does so media doesnt feast on modi's silence..

    1. PMO spokies will cause more problems.
Modi's silence is causing more problems to his own men in both government and party. They are already dumb and mediocre. They are not getting proper signals from neither Modi nor Shah on policies.
In this blog Ravinar mentioned Sambit Patra sitting dumb when Pilot accused Modi government implementing Hindutva agenda. But what else Patra can do? He was not clear whether to allow or deny the Hindutva tag. How long they can counter just with 'development' ideology? Statements from crooks like AJ and Venkaiah further compound their media strategies.
I do not think BJP the political outfit is going to help protect Hindutva. Even RSS appears outdated with oldies unable to come up with a coherent strategy.

  38. Spot on and very timely, Ravinar. Smriti Irani, Meenakshi Lekhi and Nirmala Sitaraman are the only few who had the guts and wits to slap the anti national media and opposition hard on their faces. The timid majority in BJP ensured to choke their voices. Modi? Sorry!

  39. It will be wrong to put this govt and Modi on the mat so early! Congress,Libtards and MSM are doing that job in any case. "Mediacrooks" should maintain its focus on MEDIACROOKS.Look at the way Una and Bulandshaher are being "differentiated".There are forces at work that wish to break up Hindu society and Hindu nation.Modi and his govt seems to have fallen pray to the cries of beef brigade.

    1. Modi also seems to have fallen prey to the grandeur of PM's office. He sounds hollow, his speech on Independence Day on Monday will again be the usual mixture of boasts and tall promises. He is just a gas bag so far as PM.

  40. Achhe din ayega for Modi Sarkar.Wait till UP results come.Rajnath Singh and too much of anti-Hindu news like Dalit movement, open cow slaughter, etc, activities of anti-Hindu forces like Kancha Illaiah,Kanahiya Kumar with Rahul Gandhi will help BJP.

  41. As an ardent supporter of Modiji and in the belief that destiny took a positive turn in 2014, I am yet dejected and disappointed along the lines mentioned in this article. Yet, come what may, I will vote for ModiSarkar in 2019. Hope the majority and more still think and feel the same along with me.

  42. Modi's 2.5 years is disappointment as far as protecting Hinduism.
Only hope left is in congress mukth bharat.
The anti-Hindu campaign will lose focus once congress becomes a no-force in Indian politics. Regional parties may not be as brazen as congress.
But there can be a real threat from with-in BJP itself. We do not know how sickulers are planted already in the party.

  43. One sure way of countering the mainstream media attack is the revival of doordarshan. There are multiple DD channels currently airing worthless programmes which can be put to good use. Modi and co seem to be missing even these low-hanging fruits.

  44. Recently when sonia fell ill in varanasi, instantly Modi was the First person to send her Best wishes flowers,Doctor and Chartered plane.Modi is always the First Person singular who instantly sends Best Wishes Flowers Bouquets,Help to Sonia Gandhi even if she fell slightly ill. This is a repeated pattern of modi towards Sonia.I am a modi-bhakt who voted for him in 2014.We are all Modi-bhakts but Modi is Sonia-bhakt.Modi seems to be saying to Sonia --Duniya mere deewane Lekin Main tere Dewanaa !I am not exagerrating but saying with proof. Many modi-bhakts are Very upset with his behaviour.

During 2014 election campaign interviews with a major TV channel,Modi gleefully cheerfully said that since he became Guj CM in 2002 he sends Best Wishes flower bouquets to Sonia Gandhi on her birthdays, and New Years, important occasions and proudly telling that He was THE FIRST person to send her "Get Well Soon " wishes, flower bouquets when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2011.He famoulsly calls Pappu Gandhi as "Shahzade" and that Priyanka Gandhi is like his daughter in his election speeches which became a controversy during that time.Priyanka Gandi angrily retorted, lost her fuse "Rajiv Gandhi is my only father,I love my father".

After becoming PM,maybe Modi still considers Priyanka Gandhi "like my daughter" so naturally Robert Vadra becomes "like my son-in-law.Maybe the family is "like my family".Maybe that is the reason why no corruption cases against Vadra/Gandhi family and UPA scams inspite of abundant Proof. All this for Sonia Gandhi/Ahmed Patel who tried to kill him in Ishrat Jahan case./Patna Blasts.

He also said that Ahmed Patel(Sonia close confident at 10 Janpath) is a very dear friend and has dinners in his (modi) house in Guj.In reply Patel said --quote"Chi Chi Chi Tu Tu Tu-I never met him in life ,I never talked to him,why will i eat in his house,he is lying.

During Ramleela Celebrations Delhi in 2014/2015 (dont remember exactly) live telecast on all channels,Sonai Gandhi and Manmohan Singh were talking to each other, behind them was a man with slavish servile body langauge and attitude standing ---thought it must be Gandhi family chamcha.sychophant.Camera zoomed in closer and lo it was PM modi!!

Why did Modi beg Sonia Gandhi for 2 yrs to pass GST bill ? Why did he not use the tactics used by Indira Gandhi/ Congress when they come to power. They used to file fake corruption cases against the lost party/opposition (even if honest)and in return get support for their bills in parliament/state legislatures.Modi should have filed corruption cases against the Gandhis against whom there is abundant proof and they would have sheepishly given support in 2014 itself. All this for Sonia Gandhi/Ahmed Patel who tried to kill him in Ishrat Jahan case./Patna Blasts.

Modi should have privately talked to Swamy--why go to TV channels to criticize honest Swamy who exposed the corrupt Gandhis.

    1. Pathetic inferences! Yes he has fallen short in many things but you can't expect everything done at one go. The point is whether the right attitude is there and it is. In plenty. Just getting LS majority alone is not enough. And it is necessary to be diplomatic rather than brash and dictatorial! And mind you he is not fool. He is shrewd and real patriot. He has shown enough patience and maturity that should reward in the last two years of the term. Indiabhakts should have confidence in him. And patience too!

    2. But the time is running out. And wars are won on battlefield not in conference diplomacy.

  45. Modi probably knows he can't become a winner by consensus. He is just biding time (rajya sabha numbers) to bring bigger changes.
It's clear that in India if you play nice and by the rules then media, courts, bureaucracy will continue being disruptive. Some rules have to be broken to become a clear winner.

  46. I am not a supporter of Congress but Ram Mandir locks were opened by Rajiv Gandhi. P V Narsimha Rao helped in the demolition of the babri masjid that stood against our Nationalism. During Vajpayee term and now Modi's term there is not much improvement in that direction. What ever Dr. swamy is doing is because of his personal interest for the country. THERE SHOULD NOT BE SHATRU SHESHAM when you have chance to decimate them.

  47. I donot understand why protecting hinduism is modi's job, like some comments here suggest.
there are many things that can be done and are way beyond the jurisdiction of any govt.
Protecting and nurturing hinduism is an individual task.

    1. If its a one to one attack or conversion then the individual can take care.
But muslims attack in groups and christians convert by missionary groups.
