AAP's Loose Cannons

Delhi doesn’t have a govt for a while. While Presidential rule looks inevitable, the people of Delhi at least got to see the drama and theatre of Arvind Kejriwal and his AAP party members. To borrow from AAP’s new-found admirer, Rahul Gandhi, it has been “complete nonsense” for the last 3 days. One loose cannon after another from AAP shooting nonsense. India Today carried an article on December 14 on the grand plans of AK supposedly written by Shanti Bhushan (father of AAP member Prashant Bhushan) but later pulled it when ShantiB denied he had written it. Funny, isn’t it? A news outlet carries a full article and doesn’t know how it came through, who edited it, who cleared it and how it got uploaded. Surely, someone must have written it so who is India Today fooling? Here’s the article:

So everyone who suspected AK & Co. are really meant to do a whack job against BJP and Narenda Modi found the article confirm that suspicion. We will look at some of the contents in a bit. The self-righteous gasbags of AAP decided on another gimmick. Instead of showing courage to form a govt or deciding firmly to sit in the Opposition AK shot off 18 questions to the BJP and Congress. AK claimed both parties had assured them “unconditional’ support. That itself is a bogus claim. The Congress promised them “unconditional” love but the BJP has promised no such thing. The BJP only stated “issue based support” as they do in parliament with bills like FSB, Lokpal etc. These theatrics help to fool the useful idiots in the media who don’t even bother to check if the questions are really sensible or more tomfoolery. Let’s examine the validity or relevance of these questions to any cause or outcome of governance (a few samples; in blue):

1. The VIP culture should be stopped in Delhi. No MLA, minister or Delhi official will use a red beacon on their cars. Neither will they live in big bungalows nor take any special security.

The SC has recently ruled that all states should submit a list of VVIPs who can use the red beacon. In any case, how does red beacon become a hurdle for implementing the manifesto of AAP? The bungalows for residence are allotted by the govt itself. Now if AK wants, his AAP party members may choose not to live in such bungalows but how in hell is this measure going to result in any direct benefit to citizens? The very nature of the question is nonsensical to say the least.

3. People will take decision directly in 'mohalla sabhas’… in every locality and colony.

Why should anyone agree to this stupidity? If AAP wants to make decisions based on these “sabhas” there is nothing to stop them. But one hopes these people don’t forget legislation still has to be done in the Assembly and not in Mohallas. So it’s for AAP to convince the house on any legislation being worthy on merits. Why should anyone agree to such a stupid demand? Even if the BJP stupidly supported this, does it have any legal validity? No, but this is another way to fool people into believing something that is frivolous.

6. Electricity meters should be checked. 7. There is 220 litres of water available for every person daily. Where is it?..

Why would anyone have a problem with this either? You want to check meters go ahead and check. You want to audit electricity companies, go ahead and do it. You want to find out where 220 litres water per individuals are hidden? What stops you from searching yourself if you were to form the govt? The bigger problem is not 220, AK & Co. have promised 700 litres per family they should be busy searching for 700.

11. It wants to give infrastructural facilities like roads, electricity, water and basic facilities to the ordinary trader.

This is laughable. I am sure both BJP and Congress will object to such a stupid demand because both object to good roads and facilities to ordinary traders. Is that what the AAP jokers want everyone to believe? Or is that if AAP decides to build good roads, provide electricity and water BJP is going to sit on a dharna to protest?

That is how the 18 stupid questions go. Check all of them. None of them really have any point of conflict which any political party would really object to; except maybe a stray couple. At least not in principle and some of them cannot be agreed to without the finer details. So what is the childish drama all about? The 2nd question in the list of 18 is quite interestingly on the Jan Lokpal Bill. 2. Passing of the Janlokpal Bill, the same version for which Anna Hazare held fasts. This is another perversion and diversionary nonsense. Since Anna is not even associated with AAP how is Anna’s JLP relevant to these people? But fine, you demand what you want. So when the Congress and BJP have agreed to pass a JLP Bill that even Anna has welcomed, the AAP joker Kumar Vishwas calls those supporting it “gaddaars” (traitors). His comments were aired throughout Sunday by Timesnow. So now he’s implying Anna is a gaddaar too and that unless Arvind Kejriwal says yes it remains a Jokepal, is it?

No one can make a JLP except this bunch of street goons who call everyone else corrupt, murderer, rapist and any name they choose. AK and his team have now started to even ridicule Anna claiming he may not have read the final draft of the bill or is being misled. I’m sorry! Anna is not being misled now; he was being misled in 2011 when the fasting started. Now AK says fasting does not achieve anything. AK’s first choice to lead the IAC movement wasn’t Anna at all. Nora Chopra who writes a ‘Buzz’ column in the Sunday Guardian noted on December 28, 2011 that AK first tried NR Narayanamurthy and APJ Abdul Kalam who declined. Murthy threw him some loose change as donation and sent him on his way. (The Sunday Guardian pic was carried on this blog earlier too but their archive currently seems unavailable).

The final choice was Anna who agreed to fast unto death for this bill. And now AK grandly states Anna is being misled. Anna knows who was misled and so do people. In music parlance they call the AK act a “one-hit” wonder. Once the JLP bill is settled these guys won’t have much to scream about having proved that they simply don’t have any idea of running a govt or at least don’t wish to. Anna finally stated on Sunday, December 15 “I am not concerned with what AAP has to say, AK should do what he wants. Truth will be in front of people, I don’t want to say anything about him” (quoted on Headlines Today). I wouldn’t be wrong in saying AK fooled Anna in the past and now he is fooling all the people in Delhi and other places. It is easier to keep fooling people than to tell them they were fooled. I guess some brilliant mind did say that long before we learned.

So that brings us back to the aborted article that appeared in India Today (the magazine refers to this stupidity as an “ace”). Lately, people on Twitter know how criminal these media houses are and can knock off articles any time when it is inconvenient. People now keep copies and pics. If you missed the article you can read it here. To me, it doesn’t matter who wrote it. It does matter what is written and if that reflects any credible analysis. It bears out not only what has been written on this site before but many observers have noted. Essentially, AK is doing a whack job against BJP and Modi and this has been so since the day he called Modi “corrupt” in July 2012. Since that day I had suspected this agitator is nothing more than a proxy for some bigger forces. Let’s read a bit (excerpts in blue):

Kejriwal and his party are the product of 'Anna' Hazare's movement, which erupted against the Congress's colossal corruption and patronage to corruption. Later on, however, the movement, which was essentially against the misdeeds of Manmohan Singh's government, took a different turn and was made to look as if it were against the BJP too on purpose, by some vested interests, with the active support of Arvind Kejriwal. Once it was done, it confused the people and the movement, which started with a bang, ended up slowly with a whimper…”. This is what I tweeted too. The govt at the Centre was Congress, the Delhi State govt was Congress. So what motivated AK & Co. to constantly make BJP the bigger villain in the corruption issue? That the man even went on to call Modi “corrupt” was certainly to score brownie points with his “bosses” and you can figure who they are.

So Kejriwal defied Anna Hazare and formed a political outfit by the name of AAP, giving it a colour of an anti-corruption unit against both the national parties, instead of just opposed to the Congress against whom the movement was initiated in the first place. He intentionally and mischievously raised the bogey of Gadkari's corruption and bracketed him with the Congress party's known corrupt politicians to show his 'secular' credentials. The BJP's name was sullied to please a particular community. Otherwise the BJP was nowhere near power so there was no question of them having been involved in corruption”. The BJP was accused of some corruption which was mostly a media campaign but still is nowhere close to the Himalayan corruption of Congress which actually started Anna’s movement. The image, which has appeared before on this blog, is very telling. All the black sheep are accusing a giant that is a threat as the more corrupt one because a small part of its skin is black. I don’t think anyone is missing the game being played out by AK & Co. especially when they have announced they are now going to contest all the LS seats in Gujarat. Nothing stops them contesting any elections but the objective of targeting BJP and Modi in particular is not a secret anymore. You have a fair idea of who the hit-job is for.

People are very observant now. The media is a bunch of crooks that will not place statements and acts in context or remind politicians of their past stances. People also see through masks that people wear. The mother of all facts is that nobody expected AAP to win 28 seats, not even AK and his current mentor Yogendra Yadav. The stupid 18 questions are meant to cover up for their failures. People latch on to the most important promises made by political parties. In AAP’s case there are 2 important promises: 1) 50% cut in electricity charges and 2) 700 litres of water per household every day. Clearly, it seems AK & Co. have no idea of how they can deliver on this. If they had known they would come this close to forming a govt they wouldn’t have made these undeliverable promises. That is what is hurting them. Even the Lokpal bill doesn’t bother ordinary people that much but the lure of 50% cut in electricity bills and good supply of water does. This is where AAP failed. AK failed the people, he failed Anna and the only one he is serving now is the Congress party’s agenda. These two pics tell a story:

RahulG showed a lot of arrogance in barging into a presser screaming “complete nonsense to be torn and thrown away” about an ordinance. At other places he rolled up his sleeves and even lied, tied Muslim youth to ISI. All that was in vain! People have seen Congress corruption and misrule. The new friend Congress now has is AK and his AAP in principle and in ideology. That’s the reason RahulG sees he can learn from them. But there is something Arun Jaitley rightly points out in his latest blog “Politics and arrogance’ (when RahulG and 3 sidekicks announced the Lokpal bill to be passed): “Yesterday, both the language, approach and the body language was different.  After electoral wrap on the knuckles, the mighty had fallen.  The ‘game changer’ had been abandoned.  They were now looking for a conciliatory approach”. In his minor victory AK and all his loose cannons have become like the earlier RahulG, arrogant and plenty of loose talk. Maybe they have something to learn from the “new, improved” RahulG. People don’t suffer loose cannons and they are quite unforgiving of bogus promises.

  1. Congress and BJP should call AK's bluff and accept all these 18 demands and dare him to form government. Who stops them to pull the rug after he makes a fool of himself?

    1. Dude there is a difference between UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT & ALLIANCE. ALLIANCE is when two or more parties ally to form a government with a common minimum programme IN WHICH THEY NEED EACH OTHER ACCEPTANCE IN IMPLEMENTING IT whereas in UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT the party forming the government doesn't need other party/parties acceptance/approval in governance AND KEJRIWAL IS GETTING THAT UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT. The fact of d matter is incompetent KEJRIWAL,AAP & his BUBBLE-BRAIN supporters doesn't know anything beyond JANLOKPAL,SWARAJ,CONG-BJP BHAI BHAI,BLAH-BLAH & making excuses like a LAMER.

    2. I have wished both Congress and BJP to accept AK's 18 points is because AK has asked both Congress AND Rajnathji to comment on them. There is no question of Alliance mentioned anywhere. Corner AK in accepting his own demands and deliver on them. THEN he will expose himself by not accepting the challenge.

    3. Dear Ganu, but why should they agree to AAP's set of rules. If AAP believe in point no. 3 Swaraj in Delhi: People will take decision directly in 'mohalla sabhas', which will be held in every locality and colony.

So where is the use of getting consent of BJP / Congress he has to take the consent of "mohalla sabhas" - other political parties consent is of no use. I treat this as if one agreed to child's unjust demand, child start believing that his demands are right and there would be time when child will accuse their parent for their failures but not appreciate for their success.

Now AAP do not require to expose or approve any political party / person they went public - public as confused as aap could not decide now their are only two choice go back to public as tell them to be clear who they want or accept the challenge like any other political party in past of running minority / alliance government to prove their worth.

    4. As per AAP's logic..every thing can be done in "Mohalla Sabhas".. so Assembly Haal and Snasad Bhawan and Rashtrapati Bhawan must be given on rent(As NDTV took last week Rashtrapati Bhawan)...

  2. The most important issue now is...how to convince the well-meaning AAP supporters that they have been fooled? If AAP had formed govt. their lack of any positive agenda, and lack of administrative experience would have been exposed...they cleverly avoided that. So how to show the truth to Delhites now?

They are very hard to convince as this is ghetoo mentality - are an outcome of the thinly disguised communism practiced in India by feudal lords for 60 years. e.g. Laloo's supporters worldview is we are right and all others are evil, so any heinous acts we do are justified under fighting evil.

This can only break up when internal contradictions become too high, and they see others' acceptance, not by taking a moral huigh ground - this is also why the Naxal movement grew most when Chiddu tried his trong arm tactics with Naxals.

  3. Congress has committed support to AAP unconditionally. So at least Congress should go ahead and say to AAP that it agrees with the 18 points raised but tell AAP the two points about 50 % drop in electricity bill and 700 liters of water is its baby.

  4. Many are simply not aware of the bogus agenda for Kejriwal.. Time and again, my instincts have proved me right about kejriwal, I now strongly feel that if he comes to power India will turn into a fools paradise..There are many in India who have high hopes on AAP and many NRI's are also donating money, unfortunately many simply don't see through fact that he is doing the country no good.. Now that Anna hazare accepted Lokpal draft, these guys have no political mileage to extract after congress passes the Lokpal bill.. For the better of the country, I wish AAP will be confined to delhi & do not get much leverage in Lok sabha elections.. Kejriwal is planning to contest Lok sabha from gujarat against Modi, one thing the moron forgets is that people of Delhi were very angry with shiela dixit, people of gujarat are very happy with Modi and I see no reason for them to vote for this joker's party.. Secondly, he challenged Modi & BJP to win 50 sates in West Bengal, AP, Odisha, TN, Kerala.. Any party that sticks to one Ideology like BJP will not appeal to a country as diverse as India and as populated as India, there are going to be pockets which will vote differently, wonder what makes this moron to think that his lousy party will win 50 seats in all these regions.. If he manages to achieve delhi numbers nationally, it will be detrimental for India as a nation...I hope people of India will see through it and give a full majority to BJP.

    1. So also I hope, but AAP is a clever political manouevere - aimed at capturaing votes, which would otherwise have pressed NOTA. Whether a well-intentioned fool or a sly tactic by Congress, the fact remains it is out there loose, to deprive the country yet another chance at realizing its' true potential.

And as to india being a diverse country, most medium-large countries are diverse so thats not unique to india, our problem is encouraging divisions - we may not even be a country in the sense of the word,. as we hardly ever move as a country except when it comes to our favourite whipping-boy - pakistan.

Finally, the similar ideology not applying to the country, well that applies to BJP as well, and it's time BJP realize their weakness and try to overcome it, rather than fighting each other all the time.

  5. It will be interesting to see what forms the core of AAP's campaign next, if at all they want to branch out to rest of India. Now that Lokpal issue is off the plate, well almost, they don't have any other substantive issue to talk about. AAP is just an anti-establishment party, it's highly unlikely that they can form alliance with anyone coz the moment they form alliance with an existing party, they lose the high moral ground claimed vigorously by them. I can't see how they are going to be successful anywhere outside Delhi, especially after their nautanki with forming govt in Delhi. People of this country are frustrated, but still I don't think anyone holds Arvind Kejriwal at the same level as Narendra Modi, who has done some exemplary work in Gujarat.

  6. AK stands exposed completely. Except the point related to JLP Bill, how can anyone prevent AAP in implementing their manifesto, esp items related to water, electricity, roads etc. This is plain Thuggery.

Where he makes the MLA live is his prerogative. Don't allot any Bungalows. Others on waiting list will be happy. Clearly show the mind of a mean n selfish person.

Icing on the cake - all decisions will be taken by the Mohalla Sabha. Just imagine Delhi CM attending the CM's Conference with PM. AK will have only one answer to all proposals - Sir, I need 10 days to go back and ask the people. Kejriwal forgets one simple facet of administration. The people have elected him n other to take decisions on their behalf, but take CORRECT decisions.

If pappu acts like a parrot who repeats the same words, AK acts like a tape cassette who has a longer list of words to keep repeating. Also AK has side B to his credit.

  8. And yes , I do believe that AK will form a government . Even if it is just for a few days. He would like to extend the existing spotlight on him and this is possible only in case he forms a government and makes some symbolic attempts , make a loud noise and position himself as an alternative . And even aap knows that it would be otherwise very difficult to face electorate especially after congress has extended unconditional support. Otherwise why would Lt governor ( congress nominee ) give them more time . ???

  9. Spot on .
But this nuisance is going to continue till may 2014 by media. They are passing off absolute crap as analysis and editorials. They are rigging discussions and allowing the loose cannons of AAP to shoot and scoot. BjP would need to factor this and surmount this challenge as well. The truth is that the anti corruption challenge was first started by Baba ramdev and late rajiv dikshit. But the same has been hijacked by media to showcase AK as an alternative. now fallacies are being legitimized as truth. People too should show their response by completely boycotting news channels and boycotting products advertised in biased print and television media. And make it formally known to them under some anti biased media / paid media front.
It is doable. Baba ramdev ( along with rajiv dikshit ) had managed to bring down the consumption of the colas by 50%.

  10. I dont understand what is wrong with you guys! I believe that even though all these agenda points look very simple, none of them have ever been tried to be implemented because of a haplessness of the govts and no strong intention to dod so. I strongly believe that getting rid of VIPism in our country will get rid of huge issues for instance it will free a lot of real estate to provide good decent housing to many more citizens, no traffic blockages because of VIP movement and last but not the least no more of teh "arrogance' displayed by politicians. they are servants of the people and let them remain at that position. If some one wants to bring about change in this deeply corrupted society, it has to be a radical one and it has to be the way AK is doing it, there is no other way, so come on guys, let us support him and live the change. How it will happen , will is the only answer . Where there is a will, there will be a way!

In case you didnt notice, everyone wants to give AK a chance. Everyone wants AAP to form a govt and make an attempt to succeed. If he fails despite sincere efforts no one will fault him. But who is dithering? Who is avoiding responsibility? Who is refusing to take the chance?

      Delete
    2. Anupama, I agree with you, except that I do not believe corruption is the disease, its a symptom of acute poverty which has led to feudal lords capturing them to sell at profit - this is called rent-seeking behaviour in economy - just as so many middle-class people buy houses they will never live in, just because shortage makes house prices go up, and rents are possible.

So there are 2 paths to end corruption - 1. punish people trying to encash on shortage (biggest culprit is government because theere are no alternatives except relocating abroad) which can be done by a lokpal 2. increase the resources, so the shortage keeps reducing, which is only possible by real development - people have to do this, and be facilitated by policies that arent anti-people. Let me remind you that when 2 wheelers were scarce, and waiting periods upto 5 years, people used to buy scooters in black (!!) now it's available at discounts due to production exceeding demand.

And it's hard to argue with Ravinar's conclusion that there really isnt any obstacle to AAP forming govt when congress has extended support o AAP. Yes, we all know congress will trip up AAP sooner than later, if they really start cutting off corruption.

There was an easy and great solution, if our constitutional post holders were not politicians first, but government first - AAP and BJP which together represent 75% of delhiites approval, should have been brought to the negotiating table by LG to form a good and lasting government, but being a political appointee of congress, he hasnt and will not do so.

AAP may not be a criminally anti-people party like congress, but it is indeed a monkey given a gun - dangerous to self and others.

You are expecting too much out of nothing. This process of corruption cannot be removed overnight what AK had promised. It takes of years of dedication and commitment from politicians to citizens. Mind that corruption is not the only issue our nation is facing there are many other issues like employment, inflation, foreign policy..etc where UPA has miserable failed. If anyone questions AK on these issues he has no answers, the only word which we hear often from him is "Iam Aam Aadmi, and we will remove corruption "...A person of such incapable Vision for India, Do you expect him to deliver good governance? I can saying one he is just fooling people by tall promises. Hope people don't get fooled and see that we don't get into an unstable environment.

We all are having single dream of prosperous India. But now instead of living this dream together, this dream is partitioned (courtesy: AAP). I admire your feelings for Mr. AK. you can make him PM as well, simultaneously Mr Kumar as Home mimister and Mr Bhushan as Law minister(may be after this I have to change my citizenship as POK). Just one thing I feel may be it is absurd to all AAP supporters:
Many of my colleagues feels that if we Indian had given 2nd chance to Mr.Atal Behari vajpai India will have completely different picture but now we have missed him and he is no more available to server us. If still we cant unite for right leader just pray that God keeps creating good peoples in India.

    6. Dear Lady,

This over emphasis on VIP culture is like diverting the attention off the real issues. When you say that freeing up of real estate used by VIPs could be used for housing of the poor, could you please elaborate the empiricals. What is the total land or real estate that is being used by the VIPs as a percentage of the total land available for housing? How many people would actually benefit from it?Government housing is supposed to be a benefit to people in public office who are performing extremely tough jobs in volatile and hostile conditions. Consider a District Collector in some area in Naxal infested Bastar. The guy there is not doing some mushy Software Coding job in an air conditioned office. The life of his and his family is constantly under threat. A secure housing is important for him to be able to do the enormous job properly. However, I do agree that the large palatial bungalows which are reminders of the British era could be done away with and more reasonable housing could be provided.

Coming to the Lal-Batti culture. I can guarantee that if the Kejriwal fellow did not use a red beacon, it would become impossible for him to work as a Delhi Chief Minister. Plain and simple. As a CM, he would have to move all around Delhi in the shortest time possible. If you would make a Chief Minister follow the horrible traffic of Delhi, then forget about Governance. Your Chief Minister would spend half of his day in his vehicle. The real issue is beacon misuse by people who do not have the right to use it for "dont you know who I am?" culture, and I do agree there should be a check on Beacon Misuse.

All of the above could be politically incorrect, but it is a reality. India is no Scandinavian Sweden or Norway yet. Till we become one, we cannot do away with pragmatism for lofty ideals which border on bullshit.

Dear Ravinar, If you find what I have written as appropriate, please do mention some of this freely in some article if you like. This constant crying about the VIP culture is foolish, as it takes the attention away from real issues to non issues.

    7. Guys, I do not understand your discontent with AAP and AK. Right now, they haven't done anything that should warrant so much skepticism. They did not get only 28 seats on purpose, they campaigned to get as many as possible so they could form a Govt. Why the venom on AAP? When things have been so bad for so long, why not give the newcomer a chance and see if they can change things?
And if Delhi did not give a clear majority, let there be re-election. The cost to re-elect is lower compared to the benefits of having a stable govt.

  13. Unfortunately, we in Maharashtra knew that Anna had been used by sundry socialists many a times. Anna never understood their agenda and Anna had to part ways with them. Anna's many supporters in Maharashtra are originally NCP/Congressmen/Socialists. (Nikhil Wagale and Medha Patakar type)

Coming to Delhi agitation on Lokpal, Anna's supporters are Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan and sundry goons. Again leftists or Socialists. Arvind Kejriwal is mentored by NAC member Aruna Roy again a Leftist Socialist. Anna, Kejriwal got support from MSM journalists most of whom are leftist, Hindu haters or plain anarchists as proved by mediacrooks 100 times.

AAP's manifesto is clearly a socialist or anarchist agenda as shown by Surjeet Bhalla or R. Jagannnath or yesterday by Girish Kuber in Marathi news paper Loksatta (This is surprising but true. Perhaps because Girish Kuber was with Economic Times earlier).

So the Agenda of Leftists and Socialists is clear. If Congress, dynasty or other versions of socialists can not come to power in the name of third front, they would prefer to push the country towards anarchy rather than ruled by BJP/NaMo. Few years back Jyoti Basu rejected Atal Bihari Vajpaee as country's prime minister. The left agenda remains constant.

    1. Thanks for a very insightful comment. I have wondered whether there's an ideology at work in all this, or merely self-interest of a class withholding free distribution of resources to the country, which offers reservations, but not equality of opportunity e.g. is the predominance of leftist WB economists in indian government a cause or effect, whereas abroad, the most famous indian economists are south indians or gujaratis.

If this hypothesis is true, then the apparatus must have come into being in a colonial era itself, instead of being a post-independence, Nehru -Fabian phenomena, as is popularly stated.

    2. The apparatus is known as Economic and Political Weekly, a journal published from Mumbai since 1949. This is where all intellectuals from left write papers. They cover Social Science, Political Science and Economy and other subject at the discretion of the editor. This is read by journalists, so called social activists, Politicians, University professors, NGO activists and researchers in the above mentioned field. It is also circulated in Indian as well as foreign universities. So you can understand their reach and roots. They see everything from Left prism and it is the backbone of Left ideology. This is the same journal which came out with Malnutrition in Gujarat theory that was picked up by socialists/left debaters, journalists and Congress. This is the same journal that considers GDP growth is not important but distribution is important. This is the same journal where people who oppose Kundukulam Nuclear power plant. This is the same journal that said that there is so called soft underbelly to NDA's India Shining and exposed it (this can be challenged and debated in length ). You can see this is reflected in AAP's agenda. Almost all left activists and researchers take pride that their work is published in Economic and Political weekly. You name a Leftist in India and he will be connected with this Journal. Yougendra Yadav has written in this journal that there is urgent need to redefine Left Agenda. He is acting accordingly via AAP. In present circumstances they want to hide that they are leftists. But you can see how ambiguous their position on Left ideology on their website. Unfortunately, as of today there isn't any Center Right journal/publication in India, which will debate these ideas at length and with same academic vigor. Therefore, in India if you are center right thinker you are a communal. End of it.

    3. Sir, you have nailed it !

Not just epw. We have Kaflia.org, Caravan, Open, Tehelka etc etc etc etc which serves the leftist filth narrative across the entire media spectrum.

And its a well planned and executed operation to sell their narrative. Marxism as a political movement beleives in PHYSICAL and INTELLECTUAL domination. They maintain a portal until they get power, then they use all means to eliminate opposition.

Also, this beleif in intellectual domination have made them conquer most universities and academic space. Hence , 90% of 'research' on socio-economic issues is partisan political filth rather than facts or findings .

Feeble attempts to explain the counter narrative have started with CRI etc :)

    4. I'm glad that people are realizing that it's all the Lefties in different shades and forms who are doing the harm. Being a Maharashtrian myself, I've noticed the rise of politically correct Lefty liberals/intellectuals/journalists in the state in the last few years.

particularly in AAP's and Kejriwal's regard, Sanjeev Sabhlok already proved that this guy is a hardcore socialist surrounded by far Left people like Yogendra Yadav. Kejriwal talks about forgiving people from paying electricity charges, water charges and controlling prices. all his tendencies are that of an idealistically thinking but failed socialist leader like Nehru.

Let us call it a conspiracy theory as of now, but this theory fits better that the one which says Rahul Gandhi was failing miserably, so this is a new face to fool the people. AK is no fool. 11 year no transfer. RTI passed with consent of Congress, when he was not known and Rahul Gandhi was yet to take center stage. So request you all to rule RG out, as if this was a spontaneous action by MSM. No.
We all know where do MSM get their funding from. I have a strong feeling that all this started some 7 years back, and then came 2008 where US had to shell out a huge some of money to almost everybody but the nationalist BJP. OMG, they must sick of these foolish, illiterate SP, Congress, RJD types politician. Then the stage was set for AK to take control. He has definitely used Anna, and now you can see his intentions.
He does not want to form a small Delhi government, he doesn't listen and is arrogant. And for Gods sake, are you tell me AK winning over Shiela with a margin of 22k votes. Or some body builder also winning with this margin. Too good to be true!

  16. Most disconcerting is the desire of AAP to rule with an absolute majority. What are they trying to achieve with that? If people of Delhi have voted Congress out of power, they surely have the ability to see through the designs and propaganda of politicians. If 8 MLAs of Congress (provided AAP takes their support) create trouble on "positive" agenda of AAP govt, people would be able to see through that as well. Then why is Kejriwal scared? There is a difference between disruptive and constructive strategy. So far Kejriwal has been a disruptive force. Can he be constructive? I have started to doubt this very much and I get the drift that he is a stooge in the hands of the Leftist cabal which Ravinar pointed out in his previous blog. The whole agenda is to keep Modi out of Delhi. God bless India.

  18. A must-read, for all those who kind of know there is something fishy out there. And for those too, who are already aware of the larger picture, the whole game plan and have not fallen for the trap. I'm sure these are the categories of people who gave BJP those 32 seats.

But I still see many gullible upper middle-class educated people patronizing AAP. On Twitter, on FB, during the discussions...Every time AK gets flak, their bhakti increases multi-fold. For instance, they don't see that AK is running away from accepting the challenge by of asking those 18 questions, but rather feel proud of their leader for his fearlessness to challenge the big establishments. Irony!

Of course we can only pray that CONgress gives support in spite of those 18 q's, that AAP forms govt and fall flat and that there is no need to convince the people that were fooled. But what if it does not happen that way? AAP can then become a decisive factor in LS elections, without having proved anything. With the only skill-set that they "appear" anti-establishment. That is disastrous. I just hope BJP doesn't take it lightly, and starts taking counter-measures ASAP.

    1) Is story is good and suitable ?
    2) Villian will not fight to actor, but always pray to act for in film.
    3) Like bollywood actor , AK is giving doss of dialogue to public.
    4) Actor also need assurance from public that once film release they must have to come to watch , no matter what is there in film.
    5) Actor also need filmfare award , no matter how he acted .

All above must signed by all parties involve in film (director, producer, public, distributor, award jury , press etc).

Now after agreement signed by all with condition stated by actor, then finally he disclosed he will need time to think whether he can act in film.

  23. As Arundati Roy had rightly pointed out that AK is a symbolic political leader. His actions are more symbolic than actual benefits. Well Rahul Gandhi is not an admirer of their politics pursay but admirer of crowd sourcing communication politics he did for Delhi Assembly polls. We would be fools not to give him credits for that.

He clearly knows his manifesto is impractical to execute. Of the 18 demands, 15 are executive level, which cannot be helped by any of the opposition parties. I have been saying this for a while, AK and his level of politics are misleading.

I don't know who forms the government in 2014, but BJP has to go terribly wrong if it doesnt form after 10 years of anti incumbency against Congress. I am guessing on BJP without Modi coming to power.

I have heard that after poll result delhi's ex-CM commented that -”sab bewakoof hain(all are stupid)”. Now I have realised its true meaning(!) and for whom(!) it was.

Their natural talent for fault finding makes this possible. One can hear the views of all leftists in India when the union budgets are out. Full of criticism but nil on alternatives. In the present leftist upsurge on gay rights it is very clear. 31. BJP and Congress both are desperate to bring down AAP party on one pretext or another. Both these parties have fooled the people of this country so many times - it does not make much of a difference if AAP too has fooled the people. But in my humble opinion the situation of both Congress and BJP is is something similar to neither they are able to swallow nor they are able to throw out. If they are so hell bent on seeing Arvind Kejriwal's credential then why don't give that they will not create hurdles when going through his 18 demands. As I said earlier also that bothBJP and congress are hand in hand. The goal of Kejriwal is to expose the true colours of both these parties who talk like a saint and do completely opposite. The sooner they realize it is better for their existence otherwise they will be decimated soon. Why was Gadkari removed from his position if he was clean like his driver. There is smell of arrogance in BJP and look desperate as if they have achieved sainthood. JUst go and check what MCD/BJP has done in Delhi. Now the congi's think Anna is a great man . The Manish Tiwari's of this world who called him Anna's sould and body is immersed in corruption. Its shamefull that this country will always be like that - because the moment someone shows light- there are thousands of crab waiting to pull the leg. Grow up . Let Congress and BJP send their official response to Kejriwal and let him decide. IF he fails to deliverf then you have a point and can vote for your dream party which some of you must be feeling cheated by Kejriwal.. How are these folks so sure that BJP WIll deliver in Delhi - IF you happen to look at BJP"S MCD record in Delhi for last few years. Pure bullshit . 4. Playing victim card already.... LOL... Just you got luckily 28 seats in Delhi & already talking of decimating CONgress and BJP... Who is arrogant? Why should anyone support all the conditions? Are we living in Democracy or Autocracy? Difference of opinions exist and there is a process called "DIALOGUE" for achieving consensus (Its a new thing for Naxalites). But, what you guys are doing that if anyone shows objections to couple of demands, you are calling them CORRUPT. If you get a full majority, I am sure Delhi will go to Autocracy.

Every party in India is more or less corrupt including AAP. The FCRA violation can put Arvind Kejriwal in Jail... The report is with Home ministry now (probably they will use it at an opportune time... ). The worst part about AAP is its connections with anti-national elements (eg. It looks like whether the Aam admi leadership or for that matter most of them who advocate AK stands do not seem to have gone through the process of starting any enterprise from scratch in India. If they have done they would have realized how difficult to follow all the thousands of rules to follow and commence even a small entity. 40. I disagree, AAP isnt an ideological party - initially AK repeatedly said his party is just to bring the lokpal bill, now he says he represent the victims of indian feudal society, wherever and whatever that means - so there is no ideology, just a chaneel for disgruntled..

I think the circumstances are ripe for this party to grow substantially, as its growth is directly proportional to stagflation and crime, which will continue under INC.

What will be the results? Either falling into another paralytic phase as pre-1980 or a balkanized India - the choice wont be ours, it will be of countries against us, whether they can effectively accelerate the break up or not..

Why cant AAP deliver improvement? Well that needs unity and leadership, and AAP cannot grow if it promotes unity and gains string leadership - it's appeal is that everyone can be the leader.

The constituents of #MostCommunalDynasticParty (like AAP ,SP, BSP, JDU, RJD, DMK, YSR etc.) are now fooling the people that they will not go with #MostCommunalDynasticParty in 2014 General Elections...to agrner VOTEs only..once the got good seats(Which seems impossible)..they will again support to #MostCommunalDynasticParty for UPA -3(Ulti Pulti Alliance -3)..

  50. I am just wondering how many of us have had an encounter with the Babu's sitting inside fortified Government offices. If you go to the streets, every common man in every village would attest the bitter truth that corruption is at its peak in this country. Birth certificate for 2k, death certificate for 3k, House registration for 20k, driver's license for 4k, international license for 10k and this list is never ending. You will be asked by the revenue inspectors for a proof of your parentage if you go for a death certificate of your parent without ghoos and such humiliating encounters in this babudom have become a norm now a days. Is it really worth doing so much struggle for basic essentials of life? My take is a big “No”. I really do not know whether AAP is a messiah or a devil in disguise. But I am 100% convinced that nothing has changed since I have started following the politics of this country. Things have only worsened. We are in an era where housing is costlier than a super luxury car, getting my kids educated in a city school per year costs me more than my entire graduation expenses inclusive of boarding. Do we as a country even bother to think why this is so? I can see some 70k government formed plots for the sake of housing being traded like stocks in the market. Even after 20 years of formation of a residential colony inside the city limits, there is hardly any trace of civilization yet. But, talk about the prices, it turns out to be higher than several saturated pockets towards the center of the city. I can continue to cite such examples endlessly but let me put a stop here to this abysmal list of irregularities around us.

Now, the fact is that none of the veteran parties in existence in this country have been able to make any visible difference to the way we lead our lives or have they been able alleviate or diminish the magnitude of a common man’s struggle for essentials of life. An educated middle class individual turns a blind eye to all these irregularities around him and carries on with the aura of confidence that comes to him because of his self-sufficiency. The babu’s/ruling class continues his endeavor to standardize his rightful ghoos/bribe thus expanding his empire disproportionate to his lifetime income. And last but not the least, the common man continues to endlessly suffer.

In view of such irregularities around us, AAP was voted in by citizens of Delhi because it was the only outfit that committed something that relates to a common man and his essential needs. It was the only outfit that committed to alleviate corruption that has become deep rooted in our surroundings. It was the only party that talked about making the essential commodities cheaper than the luxuries around us. And, there are more such commitments that relate to basic necessities of a common citizen that made this party stand out from the rest. I am not being a proponent of this outfit. But, I would definitely vote for providing an opportunity to this outfit to prove that it has capability to bring all its commitments to practice. It is still too premature to rule out AAP completely and stamp it as unethical and irresponsible. We can definitely afford to give them a chance and moreover Delhi has shown us that we have capability to throw out any Party if the promised performance is not delivered. We must recollect that it is the first time we are seeing a single largest party (BJP) refusing to form a government claiming ideology clashes with other parties. It is the first time we are seeing a runner up (AAP) party being called to form a government. It is natural for any one in AAP’s position to be apprehensive when they are in the middle of so many unprecedented events. We have a public vote also initiated by AAP calling for support/opposition to their participation in formation of Government. So, I think it would be prudent to chill out and see what course AAP, BJP and Congress take in Delhi.

May God save our country from the malignant clutches of Babudom!! Amen!!

    2. Dear VSK,

From all your gyan of AAP, I could pick up only one sentence which is actually requires more exploration. All other things mentioned are the symptoms of a chronic disease. That your sentence is :

nothing has changed since I have started following the politics of this country.

I agree with this sentence. But what is the reason? All these 67 years same left ideology is propagated by your comrades like Yogendra Yadav via Economic and Political Weekly. This is the same idea of Governance followed by Congress and all varieties of Socialists and communists in India. And now AAP is following. This is the reason why you are so ambiguous about the question "Are you leftists?" Question on your AAP webiste. If you analyse your AAP agenda we will be even more dependent on Babus. We will have more bigger government, more subsidies and more taxes, more mismanagement. The same 67 years narrative. Nothing will change. There was a effort to change during NDA a government but that was sabotaged by comrades and Yogendra Yadav's friends in EPW with the help of Sonia Gandhi and NAC members Aruna Roy where your Kejriwal learned the lessons of politics.

Go and ask your beloved "Yogendra Yadav" and "Kejriwal" whether it is true.

First of all, we all knows that their are lots of serious problems in our country. And now we need really a specialist for its proper treatment. If we believe that Mr. AK is the solution and as he always claims that he believes in clean and transparent politics. Why dont he address the issues of corruption, kidnapping, extortion in UP and Bihar. It is well known that these states are severely affected by these problems. But he has only desire to fought elections from Gujrat. It just make no sense that whether his only ambition is to defeat a single popular political leader or he will do some thing to address these issues. I doubt he can ever opt for this.
I believe that as people have shown faith on him he should firmly stand against these problems and simultaneously provides solution not just raise issues and forget. I guarantee every Indian will support him. But till now he has not shown any maturity. So I cant support him.

    4. No Politician is credibile in country. No politician sees/talks/understands common man's language. They are in their own zone.

Modi in the past year or so has been talking in common man's language. Thats why all the parties are worried of him.

Congress knows well that no body from congress or from any party would be credible enough to oppose Modi and speak common man's language.

Congress anticipated this well in advance.Thats why they created Annas/Kejriwals who speak in common man's language to whom people can relate to instead of Rahuls/Yadavs/Pawars/Omars/....
Congress anticipated this well in advance.
Congress along with MSM gave enough space/time to build credibility for Anna/AK in the minds of people of the country. This has been happening since the Anna's fast.....

So instead of the traditional politicians who lack any credibility left, AAP and AK will take on BJP and Modi.

BJP missed the bus when Anna/AK started lokpal movement. BJP was dreaming about Ram Temple/Article 370/Pakistan/Jinnah/Yediyurappa...
Even today Advani claims hes not "old". He is still dreaming PM's chair.
It took two full years and Delhi state election for BJP to realise that it has lost opposition space completely.

Modi can blame congress but congress wont respond.
Thanks to Ravinar to quote Mark Twain.

We have to see how Modi convinces people that they have been fooled by Congress for 67 years and AAP has started to fool them as a proxy to congress. It is easy to convince rural population. Its very difficult to convince to urban frustrated middle class like VSK that they have been fooled.

Tough Job and Good luck to Modi.

  51. I vote for any outfit that is capable of banning speculation on land and building sites. Those who have money speculate and purchase house sites for lakhs and crores of rupees and sell them the next day or week for hefty profit. How can any poor man, a middle claas man(even higher middle class) own a site or house in his lifetime? I know those whose get a lakh rupee salary simply put money on real estates contributing to the skyrocketting of land prices. A law should be made to prohibit an family from purchasing house, house site or flats which already own one. Can BJP or Congrees think of doing this? And Even AAP? No, because, everyone of them in the clutches of real estate sharks.

  52. The root of all these things is again corruption. The trading rates of these properties deviate from the registering rates by astronomical numbers. Black money transactions are allowed and registrations are allowed at a lower rates by virtue of Ghoos. Ghoos is the evil behind the state of affairs. I know that it may not be possible to achieve utopia. But, if we can at least eliminate this evil from essential services and daily chores, the benefits will still be huge.

AAM is the only party of rebels without a pause, and rebels without a cause.

History will never forgive AAP - for when the time had truly come to rid the country of the dynasty by harnessing justifiable popular anger against it, AAP has given the family a number of lifelines that puts KBC to shame!
