Foreigners Dressed As Indians

(This is a Maxipost in multiple parts for the long weekend. Each part can be read separately.)

Passing a “suck-up” as interview in absence of investigation:

Most people would remember the US economic crash of 2008 more popularly known as the ‘sub-prime’ debacle. Many may also be aware of Sir Allen Stanford, who sponsored a very lucrative T-20 Cricket series between England and West Indies. He was a financial emperor with a Bank and Wealth management firm. You could have guessed that he was also a media magnate of sorts.

I have observed the crookery and criminal nature of Indian media since 1999 but a segment on a TV show that brought out this crookery in the US media most was by Jon Stewart on his programme “The Daily Show”. On March 5, 2009 (IST) JS ran an 8-minute segment called “CNBC financial advice” and showed how CNBC fooled its viewers. Not just that, their reporters were doing ‘suck-up’ interviews of CEOs of the companies that were hiding their failures. I have shared this often on this site as also with many groups. I am reproducing below a 1-minute part of that episode that concerns an interview of Stanford by CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla (CQ) after the economic crash of 2008. The audio in the following may not be very clear so I am providing the relevant parts of it in text (quotes are in blue).

JS: Sir Allen Stanford whose bank and wealth management firm was posting oddly positive results in a down market because… it was a fraudulent Ponzi scheme (Video 1.10 mins):

CQ: You managed to avoid the sub-prime debacle almost entirely, didn’t you?
AS: A 100% we avoided the sub-prime debacle
CQ: What told you it was not a wise move?
AS: Well it’s very simple..
JS: I ran a Ponzi scheme… instead of investing the money ‘I stole it… 8 billion dollars worth of it… I’m bad’.
JS: Come on CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla you’ve got the biggest white collar criminal in history LIVE on the air, don’t let him off the hook... (Here comes the billion dollar question)
CQ: Before I let you go… is it fun being a billionaire?
AS: Yes.. yes I have to say it is fun being a billionaire.
JS: **** you!

Allen Stanford is now serving a 110-year jail sentence. He has been stripped of his Knighthood. And to put it mildly, he is just a “white-collar” criminal. Remember all the sympathy oozing in our media for Rajat Gupta? Remember the sympathy for plagiarist Fareed Zakaria? Most of our senior media celebrities too do such “suck up” interviews and do everything they can to protect crimes of the rich and famous. I am not saying Carl Quintanilla is guilty of any crime but just frivolous journalism. You can see plenty of that in India almost every single day. Our media blossomed when the British were our enemies. Now that the British are long gone, a large majority of Indians are the enemies for some. The job is to hide the truth from them. The British are gone but the New British are here and all you have to do is look carefully.

The victors’ history peddled by the New British:

A long time back I had a chat with Anand Ranganathan who writes at Newslaundry. It was a chat between two strangers. He is a scientist by profession. I guess this guy dabbles in biotech, cells, molecules and stuff. Very often he spares time to leave the molecules alone to research the “moles” in our MSM. Incidentally, Anand too is from St. Stephens and Cambridge but he’s not British. Recently he wrote an important line “History that is written by the victors is peddled by the vanquished”. The British were once the victors and we drove them out. But it’s the “vanquished British” who still write our history and the discourse in our MSM. Should we do a roll call? Why not!

Prannoy Roy, Rajdeep Sardesai, Vir Sanghvi, Karan Thapar, Barkha Dutt, Sagarika Ghose, S. Varadarajan (Varadabhai). Look up the bio of all these people. All of them are either of the Oxbridge variety or some American university. The last one, Varadabhai, is an American citizen as far as I know. What about Arun Shourie’s ‘Eminent Distortians’? Romila Thapar and Irfan Habib too are the British species. No, I haven’t forgotten Ram Guha. Although he wasn’t bred in Oxbridge or Columbia he has learned the ropes at the London School of Economics. Shekhar Gupta isn’t fully British but he knows how to host the ‘victors’. Some of these people have colluded to distort our history and wipe out the truth in many cases. Some of the media species hold many Indians in contempt but don’t think twice about sucking up to foreigners, white skin or anything that is West. They are Indians but everything about them is like the erstwhile British. Their language, their behaviour, their discourse, their seminars, their Scotch-circuit. Everything! Sagarika Ghose, didn’t realise that Macaulay Putras and Putris applies to her gang and not to any other. The British had as much contempt for Hindu culture, Hindus and Indians in general. Find anything similar now?

The “domestics” of Western interests:

All of these foreigners usually conduct interviews and discussions like Carl Quintanilla. How about a sample? Ever heard of the Global Warming Scam and Rajendra Pachauri? I’m sure you have. This is what happened in January 2010 and I wrote in “Servantile Journalism”:

January 2010, in his interview with Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, Prannoy Roy pays him a compliment: “Your credibility is impeccable…” This particular compliment is all over the internet now given the personality he had interviewed. This is Rajendra Pachauri of the IPCC scandal, .Glaciergate, Climategate, TERI funding based on inaccurate glacier-melting threats, TERI gaining a contract while he was on the board of ONGC, and his own personal wealth under scanner. This is the Pachauri of the “Voodoo Science” insult to an Indian glaciologist. Given all this, Prannoy Roy still believes his credibility is really impeccable. Servantility at its best”!

Supposing Rajendra Pachauri was anti-Congress or anti-Sonia Gandhi, what do you think the course of Roy’s interview would have been? Here’s a guy who was being scrutinised by international media for a scam and Prannoy Roy hands him a certificate: “Your credibility is impeccable”. Is it any different for others who are in politics or in public life and friendly to these foreigners? But if it is Modi, Baba Ramdev, or anyone remotely connected with Hindu culture who’s anti-Congress they will be condemned as pure evil. Let me remind you that Roy’s NDTV is a “fund-collector” for Pachauri’s TERI. NDTV promotes its brand in their projects but there is no information that NDTV donates a single rupee. It’s all GOI money and money collected from people by NDTV. Neat, eh?

The Senior Steno-Typists:

Radia’s Senior Steno-typist Vir Sanghvi still writes for Hindustan Times. The man should have been banished from journalism for his servantility, as should Barkha Dutt, but he is allowed to carry on because he is the “white man” in “brown India”. I don’t have any doubt even the British would have dumped the Sanghvi and Barkha types to the gutters of Fleet Street, which is no more the den of British press. But hey, these Oxbridge types in media are the New British.

In his latest article in HT Vir Sanghvi, the man who called Narendra Modi a mass-murderer, reasons why Modi’s popularity has grown exponentially: “The difference is that times have changed. The economy has tanked. Nobody believes that we will be better off in the years ahead — not as long as this government is in office, anyway”. Well Mr.Sanghvi, times have indeed changed. People not only don’t trust the Congress-UPA but they also don’t trust their foot soldiers like you. People suspect media ‘cooks’ as much as they suspect politicians and political parties. And with good reason too!

Following Sanghvi, and even preceding him, a whole lot of media celebs have called Modi a mass murderer, hero of hatred, communal, a divisive polarising figure. They also call the Gujarat riots Pogrom, Genocide and inflate the deaths each time they write or talk. Why? Because like many other Indians Modi was an ordinary Chaiwalla who rose to power and has no business to be PM, let alone a CM. That he is an OBC disgusts them. Ignorant idiots with “white skin” are far more preferable to knowledgeable, hard-working and performance-oriented Indians. Doesn’t matter if the “Whites” are extremely corrupt too! This is what Anand Ranganathan highlights in his recent post “Inside the fourth estate” on Newslaundry.

The world’s first frequent-flyer:

I can wager that the term “frequent flyer” gained currency more after former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger became famous for his globe-trotting and clocking in amazing sky-miles. Along with Richard Nixon, Kissinger has overseen some of the worst crimes against humanity for which a much respected writer like the late Christopher Hitchens wanted him tried for such crimes (read here). Frankly, there is hardly any writer in the West who can be as bluntly honest as Hitchens was. If the term mass-murderer suited anyone it definitely would fit Henry Kissinger according to Hitchens. It got HK a Nobel Peace Prize. And this guy was no friend of India in his flying days; Nixon and he have called Indians “bastards” and called Indira Gandhi a“witch and a bitch. Ah well, get used to it, there are now those who defend foreigners if our PM is called “Dehati Aurat”. Nothing has changed. But like the 1984 Sikh killing our media can offer the excuse “but, oh back then we had no television to report Kissinger’s crimes”. So what happens when darling Kissinger visits India? Here’s what:

Now you know what I mean by “suck up”. Most media celebrities lined up to suck up to the alleged war criminal who hated Indians. But why wouldn’t they love Kissinger? After all, he’s a foreigner like they are. There’s Sagarika beaming in delight. I wonder how many questions she asked HK. There’s Prannoy Roy glorifying him. And above all, there is Karan Thapar. Now Karan ‘The Tool’ thinks he’s a tough questioner when it comes to those opposed to Congress or to Pakistan but when it comes to Western rogues he becomes a “Puppy”.

The “Tools” of Western interests:

In April 1976 (during the Emergency) KT was probably at Pembroke College in Cambridge, honing his ‘foreign skills’. I guess that’s where he also learned to knot a bow-tie. I cannot be sure where he sent the message from (India or UK) but here is a Wikileaks release that isn’t quite known in the public domain. This is from KT to Henry Kissinger and listed in the category of VIP travel. Now unless there is another KT who sent this I have to assume it’s ‘The Tool’ and none other.

That communication was when Kissinger was still in office and KT was a student. What exactly was the business KT was hoping to transact? It would be nice if he came out with an explanation because during those days Kissinger wasn’t exactly a friend of India. KT is commonly ridiculed as a “Paki agent”. Is there more than we know? The very next year in 1977 when the Janata Party came to power in India, George Fernandes banned American products from Indian markets. What was KT’s reaction then?

In her 10 grand questions to Modi, Sagarika asked a typical-foreigner question. Check question No.7 in the list. She asks “How will a Modi-led BJP reach out to business interests in the US who are complaining about India's protectionism?” Well darling, aren’t you and others in the MSM taking care of US and other Western interests? Secondly, isn’t that what Manmohan Singh and Congress are already doing? More importantly, why should anyone think of reaching out to US business interests rather than put Indian business interests on top? Does the US govt give a damn about India? Would you ever hear any bimbo asking a US Presidential candidate “How will you reach out to Indian business interests?” (On the contrary you may hear them asking about how the Presidential candidate will save jobs going to India). Now that’s how servantile to Western interests our MSM is. They don’t think twice before their slavish conduct. These are foreigners dressed as Indians, to borrow from AK Antony.

I have often referred to our MSM as “the first line of defence for the corrupt”. Jon Stewart demonstrates it at the top of this post. So let me rephrase Stewart and ask our MSM friends in the context of Kissinger:

Desi People: “Come on Prannoy, Shekhar, Sagarika, Karan.. You’ve got one of the greatest war-criminals and India-abuser in history… LIVE on air… Don’t let him off the hook
Indian MSM: “Mr. Kissinger, before we let you go… how does it feel to have been a globe trotter and be a millionaire? How was your stay in India?”
Kissinger: “Yes… Yes, it is great to travel so much and to be a millionaire and I thank Indian media for all the love and affection”.

Happy Vijayadashmi!

Back To British

It is hard to believe that it took 28 years for India to get rid of the British after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Actually, we didn’t even throw them out. They left on their own accord after cutting India to pieces. I sometimes wonder how Indians gladly joined the British police force and fired upon and lathi-charged their own countrymen. MK Gandhi even supported (as did many other Indian leaders and Muslims in general) some stupid Khilafat movement for far off Turkey. MKG even condoned the Moplah violence against Hindus in the name of rebellion against the British. The British and the Congress party have a shared history of hatred of Hindus. Anything in Saffron that moves is worth their loathing and condemnation. The instances are many and now our modern day media is part of that bandwagon. Take a look at this pic by AajTak:

The headlines seem to glorify Azam Khan, who has been said to be the instigator of Muzzafarnagar riots. On the other hand it shows Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s mindless detention in London airport as “London me Lafda yog”. Chronic liars Digvijaya Singh call BRD a “thug”. It’s because such nonsense is being allowed to pass all the time that members of the “fake secularism” brigade has become more like the British.

Two years ago on Gandhi Jayanti, a funny hashtag #BritishRajTweets on Twitter, had a dose of tweets using current political leaders and public figures and what they would have tweeted during that time. In June 2011 after the cowardly attack by Delhi Police, on the orders of the Congress govt, on a sleeping crowd of agitators led by BRD (which resulted in the death of one woman) our PM could only say “Police action against Ramdev was unfortunate but inevitable”. The man is indeed a tragic failure. Naturally, I tweeted what I estimate he would have said about the Jallianwala Bagh too. Had the Congress been in the govt Jallianwala Bagh may have still happened and they would have defended it. When the woman (Rajbala) who was fatally injured in the attack on BRD died, the media didn’t make much noise about it. It was fine with them because… isn’t it obvious? She died exactly this day two years ago. Here’s the reason I suggested then:

Despite all his weaknesses and cases of poor judgement MK Gandhi still remained a patriot at heart who loved India. I cannot say the same for the Congress or some parties similar to it that are keen on destroying the very freedoms we fought for. In the last Bihar elections Nitish Kumar demanded and got a ban on Narendra Modi from campaigning in that state. The BJP foolishly even agreed to please Nitish’s ego and inferiority complex. Someone else wasn’t allowed into Bihar a long time ago too. The reasons, he was told was he would “disturb the peace”. Watch this video (4.39 mins):

If that shocks you then the worst is yet to come. The JDU govt in Bihar has threatened to arrest NaMo if he enters Bihar. On what grounds? The threat of disturbing communal peace? This is the nonsense that the British peddled and our “sickular” parties are doing the same thing. Long back the same Bihar govt under Lalu Prasad had arrested LK Advani during a yatra. Rajnath Singh and other BJP leaders were stopped from entering Muzzafarnagar after the recent riots. However, SoniaG, RahulG and MMS were grandly allowed to enter with cameras to show their “sickular” credentials in sharing tears of only Muslims and not Hindu victims. Gandhis are alive and well!

That’s not all. There is some joker in Tamil Nadu called M. Elango of some New Era Trust (Sounds like a Jesus or ROP Trust to me) who petitioned the Madras HC to ban Narendra Modi from entering Trichy for the same reasons as the British cited against MKG. (NaMo is scheduled to address a rally at Trichy today). Fortunately, the Madras HC rejected this nonsense outright but lately you don’t even know if courts will stand up for freedom. This guy Elango is a Congress member. There seems to have been no brains whatsoever in the Congress party to stop their member from indulging in such frivolous nonsense. Why would they? After all, anything against NaMo is welcome.

We are nearing another Gandhi Jayanthi. The Congress and other politicians will carry out the usual routines of singing praises to him. MKG wanted Congress disbanded after independence but that is one advice they will never heed. The British left but the Indian “suits” took over and we are now experiencing another British Raj. At least the media was patriotic during the freedom struggle. Now they too are full of Macaulay putras and putris who are no different from the British. They rejoice in the ill-treatment of their own citizens by the British and other countries. MKG wanted Congress to die. I have said this before “for India to progress, Congress must die”. They and similar “sickular” parties have taken us back to British Raj.

Slavery By Any Other Name

Sometime last year I wrote the post “Independence not the same as freedom”. While we are an independent nation some have still willingly chosen slavery over freedom. In the US, where slavery was legal for long, some believed slavery is neither sinful nor immoral, was natural and inevitable. Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in the 19th century. In India there are still many who find slavery a natural and inevitable state of mankind. People are still called Nawabs or Rajas, Begums or Ranis, by a slavish media. The ones who set the worst examples are actually from public life. Here is an extract of the speech from the video I carried in that post last year by former US president John Adams:

This is a recent issue (of the Executive Review, from President’s office), and there's an article in here written by a "keen mind of the South," … who asserts that:

"There has never existed a civilized society in which one segment did not thrive upon the labor of another. As far back as one chooses to look -- to ancient times, to biblical times -- history bears this out. In Eden, where only two were created, even there one was pronounced subordinate to the other. Slavery has always been with us and is neither sinful nor immoral. Rather, as war and antagonism are the natural states of man, so, too, slavery, as natural as it is inevitable."

Now, gentlemen, I must say I differ with the keen minds of the South, and with our president, who apparently shares their views, offering that the natural state of mankind is instead -- and I know this is a controversial idea -- is freedom. Is freedom! And the proof is the length to which a man, woman, or child will go to regain it, once taken. He will break loose his chains, He will decimate his enemies. He will try and try and try against all odds, against all prejudices, to get home.

It doesn’t take a wizard anymore to understand that ‘freedom’ is the natural state of mankind. So what makes some behave in an absolute slavish manner? “Blood” worker Salman Khurshid says Rahul Gandhi’s cameos aren’t enough and they need ideological direction from him. From Rahul Gandhi? Haha! “10 out of 7” times RG is not even in India as his Congress foot soldiers point out anonymously. Permanent sycophant Digvijaya Singh demands RG be given “decisive” responsibility, even PMship. In September 2012, Khurshid again asked people to expect an “exciting greater” role for RG. Then as recently as October 20, Rediff reported a makeover for RG: “Congress leaders are toying with several ideas to lift the morale of the party and the government. They are finding ways to make glamorous RG's much-talked about promotion”. A makeover? From what? To what? You can change his appearance a bit, here and there, but I doubt you can change the way RG thinks (if at all) and all his public utterances so far have been worse than a 3rd grader. No wonder Congressmen are disillusioned with him as various reports suggest. But still, to some of these people RahulG is the great white hope for India.

Even after royal titles and privy purses have been abolished our media can’t stop being slaves to so-called royalty. Be it a Saif-Kareena wedding or to the Dynasty itself. Home Minister Sushil Shinde is willing to “shoot to kill” if ordered by Sonia Gandhi. Salman Khurshid is “willing to die” for her. In the previous post I mentioned a Mungeri who equates SoniaG to Mother Teresa. What is wrong with all these people? I can understand Khurshid though. You see, he is steeped in history of Mughal durbars. He writes novels and plays on the Mughal kings and nawabs. Even so, one can forgive wanting to be a durbari but willing to die? Naturally, Arvind Kejriwal lampoons him and asks if Khurshid is India’s Law minister or Sonia’s Law minister. If they make a Die-Hard 5, there are many options in India to replace Bruce Willis.

Nothing, nothing though beats B. Raman. The man is supposedly a former intelligence bureaucrat from RAW. No, not all of them are the James Bond types, so don’t picture that image please. He has lately discovered that Priyanka Vadra (aka Gandhi) is probably the one saviour that India desperately needs. The pic is a stunning tweet from him (August 30). I can understand the NaMo and darkness part. For long, the Congress, the media, some NGOs and lately Raman, have painted Narendra Modi as ‘Rahu’ who gobbles up the sun during an eclipse. That part was easy. You know, NaMo is dark, from an OBC community, not of royal lineage, was a tea-vendor at one point and it’s disgusting that he can even be a successful CM. To the likes of Raman, no court, no SIT is authorised to declare NaMo innocent of any crime. Trust me, that part I get. But it does baffle me why a reasonably educated man would call PriyankaV brightness at night. I truly hope for Raman’s sake it has nothing to do with her fair skin that would radiate brightness even in power-less dark nights in the constituency she usually campaigns in. Reminder: “Slavery has always been with us and is neither sinful nor immoral..”.

Let’s assume Raman was just being poetic with his “brightness at night” tweet. But it’s not just a tweet, there are whole articles. He recalls the innocent childhood of Priyanka and Rahul on his blog. Ahem! In the book 'To Kill a Mockingbird' Harper Lee does say at the opening even "Lawyers were children once". Everyone was. I guess even Raman was. And this is not the first time he is raging. In an earlier post ‘Raman Rage’ I mentioned how he went berserk in his defence of Sonia Gandhi, Barkha Dutt and Sagarika Ghose. He went to the extent of calling those ridiculing them Jihadis, Extremists and Neo-Nazis. He is also on record calling NaMo supporters ‘Nazi storm-troopers’. Now where does such hatred come from?  He is known to be a great fan-boy of Barkha, which is fine and understandable. He lately dislikes NaMo or his work or policies. Fine too. Does that make others Nazis? The number of times he has called others Nazis is phenomenal. And then he feels offended if he’s called senile? That is quite a light insult compared to his frequent outrage and calling others Nazis. Never mind!

Let’s ask why Raman sees PriyankaV as a possible saviour of the nation. An opinion? Fine! But even if he is peddling a mere personal opinion that surely needs to be backed by some logic. There is nothing that PV has done or demonstrated that makes her the saviour when compared to many other individuals. There may be any number of such individuals within the Congress itself. But why Priyanka? Only one thing explains it; Slavery! Mindless, senseless slavery to a dynasty. He calls himself a ‘strategy analyst’! Surely, one has to be Ravi Shastri to see any strategic analysis behind Priyanka as saviour. That wasn’t the first time though. In June 2012 he came up with some astonishing absurdities. He recommended MMS be made President and Priyanka be made PM (see his letter to Sonia Gandhi). Isn’t this nation lucky? Promote a non-performing PM as President and promote a no-work, no-experience, no-performer as PM. Someone who isn’t even an MP yet. Logic? Slavery! How is it different from Laloo appointing his wife, Rabri, as CM? And we know what happened to Bihar, don’t we?

Now that the Robert Vadra land deals are more in the open Raman must feel a thousand eggs on his face. Of course, the argument might be put forth that Vadra may be involved in irregularities but Priyanka is still the brightness at night. This is the tragedy when slave mentality forces public figures to pick leaders for the nation without reason and without accountability. Raman even suggests Sonia panicked over Vadragate but Priyanka calmed her and the Congress. He must still be in the "intelligence" business or must be getting daily secret briefings from the Congress eaves droppers. We are yet to get past the MMS disaster. There is a big difference between admiration and slavery. Congress minister, Ramesh Bagwe, even carried RahulG's shoes to protect it from bombs. Take that!

People admiring Sonia Gandhi is one thing; they may have valid reasons. She has done and at least demonstrated a few things. But if mindless slavery is to determine the course and leadership of a nation then one need not write long letters and argue or try to pass slavish nonsense as logic. It’s any day more appropriate for such slavish minds to simply put out an ad like that Chennai dealer. All it takes is to say “Madamji at your feet”. This nation has been a slave to many forces in history. One would have expected intellectuals and public figures to ensure “never again”. Instead, evidence grows that these very intellectuals may well be the admirers and causes of slavery and they even love being slaves. Slavery by any other name still remains slavery, it can’t be cloaked with intelligent claptrap.
