Buying Women In Bulk

In most of the past elections in recent times one would have heard of the police under EC nabbing some people transporting vast amounts of cash or all kinds of liquor during election campaigns. Surprisingly, I didn’t hear such news during the Bihar campaign or elections. If that makes you feel the EC has become very vigilant in monitoring these incidents then you are mistaken. Here are some snippets from the past instances of such cash-for-votes seized by the police:

So, where did all these “transporters” of cash and liquor disappear? Has the EC really cleaned up all these illegal activities? NO! Your average foot-soldier-criminal has simply been replaced by the politicians in power. People like Narendra Modi, Shivraj Chauhan, Devendra Fadnavis and their “Revdi Gang” that has LEGALISED these cash-bribes into “Revdis” that are now legally deposited in banks. The previous criminals mostly bribed men and gave them liquor too. But these new brand of criminals have identified the most vulnerable “bakra” in society – WOMEN. They are now buying women in bulk. The BJP is now the biggest ELECTION-BRIBER and “buys women” with cash transfers in the name of “Ladli Behen, Ladli Lakshmi, Ladli Smita” and what not. Even Sunny Leone got the Ladli money in Chhattisgarh. And all this happens under the very hypocrite-liar Modi who grandly screamed “Revdis will destroy the future of the country”. Everything this man utters is just hypocritical LIES.

Most of the media gives credit this new criminal women-trading business to MP, under the previous CM Shivraj Chauhan. But that is wrong. Just like serial-killers, white-collar criminals also take pride and want rightful credit for their crimes. Therefore, we must honestly credit Arvind Kejriwal as the innovator of this crime of buying women in bulk. He started this in Punjab in 2021 but, as usual, Kejriwal only deceives:

But Kejriwal neither named the scam very well nor kept his promise. Consequently, in response to Modi’s constant chant of “Innovation, Innovation, Innovation”, that Shivraj Chauhan got inspired and named the Revdi “Ladli Behna Scheme” – of course, under “Behna” all the behens, matas, aunties and all were included. Then another scamster Mohanlal Yadav came along and increased the amount and the extent of the scam. The only one to beat both of them is Devendra Fadnavis, the effeminate RSS CM of Maharashtra. He not only announced the “Ladli” scheme in 2024 but after that he managed to give the dole to thousands of “men” who claimed to be women. And the money was also given to female govt employees who were not eligible. Now, 9 states, almost all of them under the BJP buy women before elections:

Any such criminal Revdi given off or announced during the election campaign is more or less impossible to withdraw. In fact, the competition to keep increasing the bribe to buy women will grow and that is what we saw in Bihar. Knowing there is mass disenchantment with the govt and with Modi, he dramatically increased the one-time dole to 10000 and, not just that, like progressive criminals do in their profession, he also changed the modus operandi for the bribe. Modi and Nitish gave the 10000 in group-instalments and purchased lakhs of women in installments. These purchases will be completed in about 6-7 installments – partly before the elections and partly after the elections:

There is a “CLEVER BAIT” in this 10000 bribe too. It is described as the “INITIAL GRANT” for a future financial assistance of 2 Lakhs. So, all the women didn’t get the bribe before elections. Therefore, the women who did get the bribe circulated the information that others will get it after the elections. Thus, both groups had the incentive to come out and vote for NDA. One out of gratitude and one out of anticipation. The CLEVER BAIT is, if the non-recipient of the bribe didn’t vote NDA then chances are that a new govt may not fulfill the promise and may even scrap the purchase order for buying women. As a last ditch effort, that worthless tub of lard called Tejasvi Yadav even promised 30000 as the purchase price for women. But it was too late and the women naturally thought “a pig in hand is worth 3 in the pigsty” – Take the money and run, tomorrow never knows. As with other states, it worked in Bihar also and this report shows how women turned out in greater numbers in all districts except Patna:

All the 9 states in their Ladli Revdis to buy women have already cost the taxpayer over 1 Lakh crore. The Bihar cost will be added soon. After all the hypocritical crimes that Modi has committed, he has realised that to stay in power, the crime has to get bigger each time. And that is how the bribe to buy women has grown under him in every BJP-ruled state. Playing the Reservation game and fake job promises is now a fully depreciated tactic. People know the liars won’t be able to generate jobs and their lives will remain in the same pathetic state. So, they too want to take any dole, any cash, anything and cling to the Revdis and enjoy their lives. And after all the crimes, the fraudster grandly claims NDA won because of good governance and development:

The fear of losing power makes one more and more corrupt – that is what Modi has become. Besides, all these politicians don’t want to win elections to serve people or do some trashy  development work. Those are just residual activities for them. The main goal of all politicians in winning elections is CORRUPTION and money-making. Besides, if a party ruling for long loses power, they also fear vendetta by the new regime in terms of exposing their scams and recovering moneys or even jail-time. India is doomed for a long time. Each election is just one more nail into its coffin and that of the hopeless taxpayer.

Not Watchdogs Anymore, Just Poodles...

This is an update to the post "CEC: Media As Friend & Ally In Elections" of March appended below:

It would be dishonest and unfair to tar the entire community of journalists as corrupt. It is just safe to say that a huge majority of news outlets are corrupt and cannot be called a watchdog anymore. I have personally been witness to newspapers blackmailing business houses with planting fake stories or exposes if they didn’t get their share of ad business as a rival newspaper. In wanting to avoid confrontation or wastage of time most businesses oblige, some do stand up. It is in this light that latest developments of the ‘paid news’ syndrome has to be viewed.

It would also be naïve to imagine that the money trail for ‘paid news’ can be traced. Obviously these transactions aren’t made through cheques. That’s what explains a total election expense of 7/- lakhs within the then limit of 10/- lakhs. This is what P. Sainath writes in The Hindu:

“Mr. Chavan's accounts are a delight. A kind of Gandhian manual on poll austerity. Read them and you know that Bhokar, Nanded is where you want to settle post-retirement. Things are so cheap. Mr. Chavan wrapped up his newspaper advertising within a frugal Rs.5,379. His entire poll campaign cost less than Rs.7 lakh. (The limit for an assembly constituency in Maharashtra that year was Rs.10 lakh). This included two public meetings where he brought down Bollywood megastar Salman Khan as the main attraction, drawing thousands of people. The first meeting cost a piffling Rs.4,440 and the second even less, only Rs.4,300. In both cases the main cost, more than a third of the total, was on the public address system. (But even Steve Jobs could not have got the audio done in Rs.1,500). The pandal top cost just Rs.200, hired sofas cost the same and Mr. Chavan spent no more than Rs.1,000 on setting up the stage”.

The PCI’s paid news report was watered down to around 12 pages, from the original 71, on protests by the worst offenders involved in the syndrome. Each time the issue of accountability is raised with the MSM the endless fountain of screams about “freedom of press” or “self-regulation” flow as a torrent. It is, therefore, amazing that the CEC or any sensible body rely on the media to report violations or instances of paid news. Oh yeah, they will depending on which side of the political spectrum they are on.

Apart from the paid news syndrome, Radiagate has exposed beyond any doubt that MSM is into far greater misdeeds than just paid news. It is actively involved in political power broking, planting stories on the whims of such brokers. It’s not news and analysis anymore. The last Sunday (Oct 9) edition of ‘We the poodles’ on NDTV ran a debate on the Telengana issue. Among others, one of the key elements of the discussion was what “muslims want”! More than politicians it is the media crooks who are constantly immersed in discussions deciding what is secular, what is communal, what is hate-speech and what is justice or miscarriage of it. The media divides society a lot more than politicians do. The media is far more corrupt than the politicians we keep rapping for it. It is hard to imagine how a company like NDTV still operates despite consistent losses over the years. Since the issue, its share price has constantly gone down. I imagine the financial intrigues of many other media outlets would make sorry reading if thoroughly investigated. And that is good reason to bring the media too under the RTI and the Lokpal.

The slant and biased reporting is now becoming more obvious to people at large thanks to social networks. Can’t call them watchdogs anymore, just Poodles would do!

CEC: Media As Friend & Ally In Elections - March 11,2011

What is wrong with other people? Don’t they matter? The people are your biggest eyes and ears if ever you needed a watchdog. Across the world people are now realising that the mainstream media is a self-serving lapdog and is not a watchdog for anyone. Just as an honest politician is hard to find these days, it is just as hard to find honest media outfits or honest journalists. The honest are the rare exceptions. Here’s what Chief Election Commissioner, S.M. Quraishi, is reported to have said:

....and they can watch over elections?

From the WSJ: India’s Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi on Tuesday asked the media to play the role of watchdog by reporting any violation of the code of the conduct by political parties or candidates in upcoming state assembly elections. Five states – Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal... “We see the media as our ally and friend in the elections. We will see through your eyes.” Mr. Quraishi said that media reports about malpractice and violations would be treated as formal complaints and would be taken up by the Election Commission. But while giving the media the responsibility of ensuring fair conduct during the polls, the Election Commission has also tried to ensure that the phenomenon of “paid news” – one that escalates during election time – is curbed. It has called for the setting up of “district-level media watch committees” comprising “a senior journalist nominated by the Press Council of India” to monitor any instances where the media charge candidates or parties for favorable coverage or for avoiding unfavorable coverage. So while the media will be watching the elections, it will also be watching itself. The debate around “paid news” caused a furore during the national elections in 2009. The Press Council of India later issued a report on regulating and curbing paid news. The council oversees media practices and strives to improve media standards. The report, made public in August 2010, had also recommended amending the electoral laws to make “paid news a punishable electoral malpractice.” The Election Commission has now also said that candidates or parties found paying for news will be punished and will have to bear the cost of the paid news in their election expenditure. But the phenomenon is one that has been difficult to weed out.

Just as it is unfair to tarnish all politicians with the same brush it is equally unfair to tarnish the entire media as well. There are still many honest journalists and mediapersons. Just who will get to pick the ‘district-level media watch committees’? In case the CEC is unaware or has forgotten,  in states like Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala the politicians themselves own the TV channels and much of the print media. The DMK’s TV channel is currently embroiled in links to various scams. So who will be the ‘district-level’ watchdogs? Say, someone like Kashmir interlocutor Dileep Padgaonkar? Or a Barkha Dutt? A Prannoy Roy maybe, or even a Vinod Sharma? As for the Press Council’s report on ‘paid news’ one of the authors, Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, himself is on record stating that the report was ‘watered-down’. The media today is not ‘independent’ as we knew it. The corporate media should not be treated as the ‘Press’ anymore but just as any other business entity. Therefore, Mr.CEC, this is what you need to do:

1.   Appoint a body of people from various walks of life with impeccable credibility and integrity to act as the watchdogs. Avoid including any media person.

2.   You can even hire reputed firms who regularly conduct surveys of all kinds (like Nielsen, Gallup for example) to take an ‘audit-like’ approach to keeping a watch on malpractices.

3.   Put up a page on your website where people themselves can lodge complaints about mal-practices. Sure, you are likely to have plenty of complaints but your auditors can do the job of scrutinising these.

Recent events have only helped to consolidate the suspicion of the media being a lapdog. Till such time there are serious rules that deliver punishment to erring media entities and persons they cannot be anybody’s watchdog. The Press Councils and the Advertising Councils and Editors’ Guilds are all coffee-shop organisations with neither power nor the willingness to reform themselves. People don’t trust the media Mr.CEC, why should you? With all the resources at your disposal I am sure you can find better watchdogs.

Fascist Congress (Islamic) Abuses Hindus Instead Of Introspection

The plenary session of the Congress (I) party throws up some very interesting comments from its participants.  The headline of the TOI reads ‘Sonia launches 5-front assault on corruption’.

First and foremost both the Congress (I) and the media should stop referring to it as the GOP or as the INC. This is neither the same party nor worthy of being associated with the Congress party that fought for independence.  The current Congress is the creation of Indira Gandhi and its name is Congress (I). Associating it with the old Congress is as disingenuous as mistakenly associating the ‘Gandhi’ family with Mahatma Gandhi as many in foreign countries do. The ‘I’ can stand for many things – Indira, Independent, Irrational, Incompetent and, of course, Islamic depending on the topic one might be discussing. The last 3 seem more appropriate in the current context of the Congress.

For a start, it is heartening to note that Sonia Gandhi has woken up from her deep slumber to realise there is corruption. All the fancy speeches are made to a bunch of sycophants who will neither question nor debate the utterances of those who speak. This is the real sign of a fascist party. Nobody will remind her that corruption was institutionalized by none other than Indira Gandhi’s governments. Ever since, it has plagued India. Hmmm, what about her own foray into Indian politics indirectly? This was the time when Rajiv Gandhi first became a PM. His government is most remembered for the Bofors scam, with some of Sonia Gandhi’s Italian friends alleged to be involved in that scam. Obviously, that to her isn’t corruption. The CWG, Adarsh Society, 2G and all the other scams were happening right under her nose and surprisingly she just got enlightened for an assault against corruption. And the best way to fight corruption is to reinstate tainted ministers yet again into positions of power as they did with Vilasrao Deshmukh. Appointing a tainted officer as CVC, that’s fighting corruption. And to top it all, blame the Opposition parties for all the evils.

Stung by the scams and also the unbelievable rout in Bihar elections, the party is simply inflicted with hallucination. Therefore, instead of introspecting and looking at ways to reorganise itself or cleanse itself, the Congress chooses to attack Hindus and Hindu organisations as terror outfits and Nazis. What are the signs of fascism? When a party president says “Indira is India and India is Indira” that is fascism, that is almost like saying ‘Hail Hitler’ ! When a Rahul Gandhi takes no responsibility for Bihar and the sycophants blame everyone else, that is fascism. When Digvijay ‘Dhimmi’ Singh compares Hindu outfits with Nazis, that is fascism. When a party, as an ideology, paints a majority community outfit as a terrorist group lending support to the nation’s enemies that is fascism!

In no country in the world is the majority community associated with the ideology of terrorism, except in Islamic countries.  It is only in India that the Congress (Islamic) accuses Hindus of terrorism. Not just accusations, Digvijay Singh even patronises a book launch. A book with the title ‘26/11 An RSS Conspiracy’ and the only ones smiling are the Pakistani terrorists. The Bihar election results, one thought, would have taught a lesson or two to the Congress that divisive and identity politics may be out of fashion. But will they learn? Let’s see if abusing Hindus well help their future.

In her times, Indira Gandhi often blamed a ‘foreign hand’ for all the evils she and the country faced. Oddly enough, we can blame the ‘foreign hand’ even today.

The Bihar (H)itch - Sonia Gandhi: "We'll Scratch & Win"

The severe Bihar (h)itch has finally hit the lady. But wait a minute! “Scratch” is the last thing you want madam. It’s really all the “back scratching” by your cronies, sycophants and the media that has been doing your party in so frequently.  And didn’t you really start from “scratch” this time around too in Bihar? With about 9 seats in the outgoing assembly and the decision to go without alliances, was that not “scratch” enough? The brilliance of the “Cowards of the Congress”  who won’t stop blaming everybody but Sonia and Rahul  has now halved its strength in the Bihar assembly. They are now below the “others” column. (In cricketing terms even the "extras" are bigger)

This blogger has been stating over and over again that both Sonia and Rahul are unique politicians who command exceptional power but have absolutely no “responsibility or accountability”. For the media, to question them is not only indecent but outright blasphemy.  Sonia and Rahul have never heard the line “I accept responsibility for this failure”!! One is the super-PM and the other is supposedly the PM-in-waiting.  And India is the emerging super power. No wait, according to Obama India is already an “emerged power”. And our media simply can’t wait to see Rahul as the PM. And we can’t wait for the silly season to begin.

But here are some gems about Rahul Gandhi:

"His (Rahul Gandhi's) meetings attracted people. He is a leader of national stature," Congress general secretary B.K. Hariprasad said referring to reports on allegations that Gandhi's meetings had failed to make an impact. Allegations?  

Another Congress coward under anonymity states: "We have to admit that Rahul Gandhi failed to attract voters in Bihar". I wonder what is wrong with this guy.  He’s not supposed to say such things. Even the media doesn’t dare say such things. This is blasphemy! (Read Here)

The Congress was not willing to admit that AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi's hectic campaigning had not translated into votes. Party's Bihar in-charge Mukul Wasnik said people, particularly youth, attended Mr. Gandhi's rallies in huge numbers, but they did not necessarily vote for the Congress. “I take responsibility for the party's defeat,” he told journalists on Wednesday, adding that the party would look into the reasons for the debacle. Now that is the correct stand for a true Congressman to take.

TV channels like CNN-IBN and NDTV find it hard to digest that the BJP has won the elections. Their effective contention is that the BJP “piggy-backed” on the Nitish-wave.  Their entire discussion was an indication that the BJP/NDA  did well because Narendra Modi wasn’t allowed to campaign. It is of course a matter of some negligible statistical interest that the BJP actually did better than the JD(U).  BJP won 91 seats of 102 (90%), up from 55 seats in 2005 and JD (U) won 115 of 141 (82%), up from 88 in 2005.

Here’s an intellectual piece on the BJP victory though: Pratap Bhanu Mehta, president, Centre for Policy Research. “The verdict shows that BJP is not one single national party but that credibility has to be built state-by-state. The party is doing well wherever the state level cadre is well attuned with local conditions and circumstances.” The media passes on such muddled crap as intelligent insight, as if local flavour never mattered before in Indian elections. But one has to hand it to spin doctor Rajdeep Sardesai. In discussion with Arun Jaitley on CNN-IBN (Nov24) Rajdeep suggested to Jaitley that “regional satraps” are holding sway in BJP. Well, after that bit Rajdeep turns to another participant and states that the new mantra in BJP is “regional satraps”. How clever! Coining his own phrases and mantras and then attributing it to the BJP. When will this mediacrook learn that there are people watching his spin?  In contrast all these channels don’t forget to mention that the Congress keeps failing because they do not posses regional leaders and “parachute” campaigns by Rahul and Sonia isn’t working. It’s the Congress’ own rule : If they win its because of Sonia and Rahul and if they lose its because the state units failed. Wonder where NDTV and CNN-IBN stand between these two realities.

It can safely be said that Sonia is not the only one who’s going to do some scratching. Our TV channels are just as busy scratching their heads over why the NDA, especially the BJP, won. They can join Sonia’s “scratch party” of course.
