The
Closet Missionary:
In 2011 a US Homeland Security Committee
started a series of hearings on radicalisation of American Muslims. This committee was headed by US Congressman Peter King. I have no interest
in commenting on the committee or its findings; that’s for the American people.
But here’s a Congressman who testified with the committee in defence of American Muslims (video 2.11 mins):
Congressman Keith Ellison passionately and tearfully narrates the tale of a
young American Muslim who died in the 9/11 disaster. He strains to explain how Mohammed
Salman Hamdani, a 23-year old American-Muslim, died and was as much an American
as anyone else. He tells us how Hamdani
loved football and the Star Wars movies. There is nothing to dispute
anything he said. Ellison bases most of his defence on the story of one
youngster although I’m sure there are many such stories. What the video won’t
tell you is that Ellison is the first
Muslim Congressman in the US. I seldom use the term hypocritical and bigot
together, but I would call Keith Ellison a hypocritical bigot. He’s a classic
hypocritical Muslim. Let’s read some excerpts from a second article by David Cohen (the first one I referred in the post
Saving Bhartayita):
“With exquisite
timing, Congressman Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) is pushing a dishonest
resolution that gratuitously insults the man who is the odds-on favorite to win
that election. Ellison is teaming up with some Christian conservatives… who
are, good intentions notwithstanding, picking the wrong battle against the
wrong target… The focus of the congressmen’s ire is Narendra Modi, a
free-market, anti-corruption reformer whom I have suggested might be India’s
Ronald Reagan… House Resolution 417, co-sponsored and pushed by Ellison, is
certainly a slur rather than a compliment—a slur against Modi and against
India. It is a ham-fisted attempt to influence India’s election. While it will
not succeed in doing that, it could certainly succeed in souring our relationship
with what should be an important natural ally if passed. The resolution creates
the impression that Christians are persecuted in India, but the primary example
used to support that notion is fairly dated: a single outbreak of
Christian-Hindu violence that occurred seven years ago (and had nothing to do
with Modi)... However, a little perspective is in order: Of all the countries
in the world where Christians are a minority, few are more hospitable to
Christians than Hindu-majority India. That is why over 25 million Christians
choose to live in India, almost 10 times the number in neighboring Pakistan.
Given the large number of countries where besieged Christian minorities are in
constant mortal danger, it shows a distinct lack of moral judgment to single
out India for its supposed persecution of Christians”.
So, you see, Ellison’s heart bleeds for
Muslims in America but he is willing to wrongfully accuse ONE individual in India of an imaginary threat of persecution of
Christians. Because of a similar stupid question on what will happen to
Christians I wrote the post “Burn down the mission” (borrowing the title from an Elton John song). This
fake “persecution syndrome” is being
peddled by American and Western Christian interests only because Modi has banned
conversions in Gujarat. It threatens the
illegitimate activities of Missionaries across India if he comes to power.
That’s their fear. Ellison feeds those lobbyists in the US who have spent
enormous time and money to revoke Modi’s visa to enter US. The entire exercise
was based on falsehoods which the US Congressmen gladly bought and sold. Now
that Modi may become PM these same vested interests want to spew hatred against
him and India to try and influence Indian elections. So far, such activities in
the US and Europe have received unofficial support from Sonia Gandhi’s Congress
party. It seems evident to them that
Modi will not brook the same level of foreign interference in Indian affairs.
What the Communist lobbies and the
anti-Modi Muslims like Ellison do manage to do is that they will end up souring
relations between India and the US. In any case, it is time India scaled down
its relations with Western powers to cordial, need-based ones rather than
support them in their selfish pursuits. It must also be recorded that on any
given day American Presidents can be held responsible for crimes against
humanity. Small states like Switzerland
already have a warrant against George Bush. It won’t be hard to find a few
hot-heads in a future Indian parliament to pass stupid resolutions like Ellison
hopes to do. Hindus do not need lessons
from the US or Europe on humanity, brotherhood or respect for religions. Also

The
State Missionary:
Hillary
Clinton is often referred to as “Shrillary” in the US; perhaps,
for good reasons. Writing in the Sunday Guardian, M Nalapat (who is not known to blabber) writes a scathing
report about how Hillary pursued a policy of “get Modi”. He reiterates that the US ban on Modi had little to do
with the Gujarat 2002 riots. Most of us know that too. The US doesn’t give a
damn about anyone being killed anywhere. The US has turned a blind eye to known
genocides in Rwanda and other countries. Nalapat writes some shocking stuff:
"Hillary
Clinton likes to operate through NGOs, which are given funding through indirect
channels, and which target individuals and countries seen as less than
respectful to her views on foreign and domestic policy in the target
countries," a retired US official now based in Atlanta said. He claimed
that "rather than US NGOs, (the former) Secretary of State Clinton
favoured operating through organisations based in the Netherlands, Denmark and
the Scandinavian countries, especially Norway" as these were outside the
radar of big power politics. These NGOs were active in the agitation against
the Russian nuclear power plant at Kudankulam in Tamil Nadu, with "funding
coming mainly from a religious organisation based in Europe that has close
links with France".
Considering what Nalapat writes, there
are many other questions that need to be answered in the future. Are Christians in India under any threat or
is it that the Christian missionaries and funders a threat to India? All
evidence points to the latter. That apart, considering the funding of various
activities are reportedly also from Netherlands and some other European
countries India must investigate the funding of the anarchist and
separatist-supporting AAP party. The funding of many anti-Modi NGOs (like those
of Teesta and Harsh Mandar) will also come under scrutiny. There are already
known frauds by these NGOs. Need more reasons why the crooks fear and are against
Narendra Modi? The US govt is not going to come clean on any of its covert
activities. If Clinton followed a “get-Modi” policy and hunted him along with
criminals in India then this too needs to be taken up by the next Indian govt
for appropriate retaliation. There is little doubt that the Sonia Gandhi govt
supported all these activities. The US nancy-boys in the embassy at Delhi were
prancing around high security zones at will with passes given by the Sonia
govt. All these perks are probably rewards for hounding Modi. This can’t be
allowed to pass.

The
Caged Missionary:
The Supreme Court called his
organisation a “Caged parrot” but Ranjit Sinha turns out be more than a
parrot. He is allegedly the CBI head who also doubles up as a “caged missionary”. Sinha was in Rome
recently it seems but he told the media he had met the Indian Ambassador to
Italy and discussed issues pertaining to the Agusta Westland chopper scam. All
the joyrides that our investigators have taken to Italy and other countries in
Europe so far are a big sham. It always appears they make the trips to muddy
the cases rather than solve any. But what was Sinha doing out there? Let’s read
an interesting bit from this report by TheNewsMinute
(TNM):
“Unable to get
any answers for the plea-bargaining deal, we conducted our own investigation
and this is what we found. The conference on human trafficking was organized
not by the London Police but by the Vatican. Titled “Church and Law Enforcement
in Partnership, the conference held on 9-10 April 2014, had four aims:
Prevention, Pastoral Care, Reintegration and Developing an International
Network of Bishop’ Conferences and Law Enforcement agencies. TNM also found out
that preparation for this meeting was underway or several weeks. On March 11,
2014, the head of London’s Metropolitan Police, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe was
confirmed as participating in the meeting which was chaired by Cardinal Vincent
Nichols”.
The plea-bargain referred in that
excerpt relates to one Mr Haschke who is alleged to have distributed all the
bribes in the chopper scam. He was, of course, allowed to comfortably fly out
of India sometime last year if I remember correctly. If you read the full
report of TNM it would be clear that the London Police was just a go-between.
The actual conference was organised by the Vatican.
And the programme is titled “Church and
Law enforcement”? Heady stuff! TNM states:
“During his
speech, India’s top sleuth said many NGO on the ground were not connected and
starved of funds that needed to be better channelized. “The CBI can be a nodal
agency with the help of known experts in India and this agency can be the
facilitating body for channelization of funds, if required.” How can the CBI
channelise funds? Did Ranjit Sinha get any clearance before saying this?
Sinha said an important initiative in
preventing trafficking in the source area and in containing demand is involvement
of religious priests. An Inter Religion Priest Forum (IRPF) was set up in
several States in India like Bihar, Jharkhand. “These forums had religion
priests from different communities and religions in India …IRPF has made
tremendous impact in preventing and combating human trafficking,” said Sinha
adding that this good practice could be replicated elsewhere in the world.
Given the international nature
of the problem, Sinha said IRPF and AHTU could be institutionalized more
robustly. “Congregation of religious priests from different communities and
religions can be organized across the globe…It could generate a “Global March
of Religious Priests against Human Trafficking.” Pope Francis addressed the
20-odd participants. “Human trafficking is an open wound on the body of
contemporary society, a scourge upon the body of Christ. It is a crime against
humanity,” he said.”
Fantastic, isn’t it? How in the world is
the CBI director making offers of Church-related deals for combatting
human-trafficking? And why was he hiding all this information from the public
if there was no hanky-panky? On whose instructions was he attending this
conference? It’s not that the CBI director can’t attend some conference but why
is it such a great secret that he didn’t release the information to the media
when he spoke to them on his return? In a related report this is what TNM states:
“The Vatican had
asked India to sign an undertaking that they could work with missionaries and
other religious groups and NGOs in India to combat human trafficking. “We are a
secular country and we turned down this request,” Ranjit Sinha, Director CBI
told The News Minute (TNM) today. “This was also conveyed to the Vatican
through appropriate channels including the MEA,” India’s top sleuth said… Vatican
Radio and news sources accessed by TNM clearly state that the initiative was
the brainchild of the Bishop’s Conference of England and Wales… Sinha was unclear
about the exact roles and responsibilities of Vatican, London Met Police and
Interpol, but this document dated March 11, 2014 clearly states the meeting was
organized by the Vatican… If Vatican’s request had been acceded to, religious
groups from Europe and UK would have access to over 220 districts do conduct
what the documents say includes “vulnerability mapping.”
Vulnerability
mapping? Ha! Let me explain that bit.
In the post “Burn down the mission” (link provided earlier in this post) I had
shown a map of Joshua Project where they had marked in red dots the territories
that need to be connected to Jesus. This could be a similar map of 220
districts where the missionaries would connect people to Jesus and help them
avoid the grave danger of human trafficking. Quite nice, wouldn’t you say? Would
the US, UK or Europe allow a project that is titled “The Hindu project to combat human trafficking”? Mr Ellison? Mrs
Clinton? This is the nonsense that Narendra Modi threatens.
----------------------
It is worthwhile to remember that none
of these so-called “moral brigades” who are bigots in disguise have ever stood
by India in any international issue or conflict. In each war that India faced,
the US, UK and their allies have supported our enemies. Rajeev Srinivasan on Rediff explains the grand plans
of America to somehow prevent BJP/Modi from coming to power. If that fails, engineer mass conflicts in
India using AAP and destroy the fabric of India. Sonia Gandhi had a puppet
in MMS. America wants a puppet in Delhi. The West is quite aware Modi won’t be
a puppet. The question, therefore, is why should Christians feel threatened?
They’ve never been persecuted in India. A stray communal riot does not amount
to persecution anyway. The goal is the other way around. Break and crucify India. People should know the West all too well
by now. Human rights, peace and all that
is BS to them!
These foreign , anti India forces are displaying strange naivette and shortsightedness. Narendra Modi is actually the moderate. If he does not come to power and therefore some economic and cultural issues remain unresolved , the anger of youth may just overwhelm India. Whilst that may suit the short term interest of western powers inimical to India - it will harm their medium to long term interests including economic interests. As some traitors in India , so too these western idiots are seriously underestimating the adverse consequences of a tumultuous India.
ReplyDeleteWhy did East India Co take over India? not because they came with lots of troops, but people among us so called " secularists"(sic) betrayed our nation for their petty gains. That is happening again.
DeleteEast India Company traded spices and gave Indians weapons & gunpowder. They instigated fights, took sides and eventually took over the weak & failed states.
DeleteFast forward to the 21st century and the US is the largest giver of military aid to our sworn enemy PAK. And now, the US is also the largest seller of military aid to India!
PAK is already a failed state and India is hardly behind with 1/3 India in open rebellion against the Govt of India.
Those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it!
Bravo, this particular article will have fewer comments - though a maxipost, the sooner the biblical "snake" international plot will have to be understood and defanged - the "snake" players of international repute and domestic "circus-slave" (rangmanch ke kirdar) have to be brought forward like the commie media collage - and fast as the - 'grand-lodge' like network of 'snake-tentacles' will try very hard to block this blog from educating the gullible Indians and bring out irreverence of "snake" in context of Indian religion. Sonia chineese Gandhi (widow with a vengeance) had gone to EU king to get initiated to import more snake tentacles to India - and that coverage was the passing reference in the Indian media - no analysis - had someone gone to temple!!!.
ReplyDeleteSomeday you will be in history books as a no-nonsense writer. Needs real guts to write this.
ReplyDeleteJust a month back MC reached 6 million viewers and is already inching towards 7 now.
Naive people always asks..."but what is wrong in religious conversions"? Apart from it being a crime against intelligence and common sense, the gravest danger is exactly from what you have pointed out. The anti-national behaviour of the flock.
ReplyDeleteYou are (as usual) right...the introduction of another "shraddha-sthal", be it the Vatican or Mecca, tends to divide loyalties. In a conflict of interest between the Western/Arab powers and India, invariably folks choose the religious rather than the patriotic. While it is of course wrong to paint an entire people with the same brush, the poisoning of minds that accompanies the religious conversion, indeed poses a great danger to the country.
Just yesterday, Peirre Fitter batted for the Vatican, against India's interest in the human trafficking case. He and I had an argument about this exact same event. He has trouble believing that his "shraddha-sthal" may have devious plans for the country.
Thanks Ravinar from discussing these serious issues in a non-fanatical forum. Most fora that discuss religious issues tend to be extreme in their views and peddle a lot of non-sense along with the real problems...thus losing credibility as a source of genuine information.
WOW ..You are RAJNIKANT of media -analysis (a compliment) . Can decipher any complex plot in a such a beautiful way so that normal people like me also can understand it to the details. Kudos.
ReplyDeleteI would like to quote here a piece from the post by JAI SINGH from http://www.loonwatch.com/2014/04/narendra-modi-and-the-rise-of-indias-neo-fascist-far-right-the-facts/ the “So far as the Christians are concerned, to a superficial observer they appear not only quite harmless but as the very embodiment of compassion and love for humanity! Their speeches abound in words like ‘service’ and ‘human salvation’ as though they are specially deputed by the Almighty to uplift humanity! They run schools and colleges, hospitals and orphanages. The people of our country, simple and innocent as they are, are taken in by all these things. But what is the real and ulterior motive of Christians in pouring [tens of millions] of rupees in all these activities?
ReplyDelete…..the missionary who spoke next bluntly said, “If we had been prompted to do all this by mere humanitarian considerations, why should we have come all the way here? Why should we have spent so much money? We are here for only one reason and that is to increase number of followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.” They are very clear about it.
Towards that end they feel that any tactics, however foul, is fair. The various surreptitious and mean tactics they employ for conversion are all too well known.
….. What does all this mean? It means that all the people in this country should be converted to Christianity. That is, their hereditary religion, philosophy, culture and way of life should be demolished and they should become absorbed in a world federation of Christianity.
….. Even St. Paul, the great disciple of Christ, has said, as quoted by Lokamanya Tilak in his Gita Rahasya, “How can it be a sin if by uttering falsehood I add to Your (God’s) Glory?”
….. Such is the role of Christian gentlemen residing in our land today, out to demolish not only the religious and social fabric of our life but also to establish political domination in various pockets and if possible all over the land. Such has been, in fact, their role wherever they have stepped-all under the alluring grab of bringing peace and brotherhood to mankind under the angelic wings of Jesus Christ. Jesus had called upon his followers to give their all to the poor, the ignorant and the downtrodden. But what have his followers done in practice? Wherever they have gone, they have proved to be not ‘blood-givers’ but ‘bloodsuckers’?
….. So long as the Christians here indulge in such activities and consider themselves as agents of the international movement for the spread of Christianity, and refuse to offer their first loyalty to the land of their birth and behave as true children of the heritage and culture of their ancestors, they will remain here as hostiles.”
There is a similar philosophy in Islam called "Al Taquiya". (Spelling might be wrong) . But please google it and see how similar these two prothelysing religions are. Both believe in Quantity before quality.
DeleteThis is not about any divine sanction. No God ( excepting a mediocre one , in which case he is no God ) would be ever interested in the charade going on in this human world.
Deletethe stress is on quantity to claim the resources of this earth. Numerical strength adds to the might. And provides security to its leaders . Might ( power, influence, position , wealth) alone is right. This is understood by the proselytizers of these religions , whereas others ( mainly Hindus) are waiting for some divine avataar to bail them out . Ignorance has no limits and can fall to pathetic depths.
US always cares for it's interest and they will go to any extent to protect their interest. So, it's important for India to have a leader like Narendra Modi to deal with a bully like US & other western countries with similar foreign policy tactics. I believe that all our diplomats should be trained by Shri Rajiv Malhotra to make them understand what really drives these western countries when dealing with India & who is shaping their opinions on India and what's their motive behind it.
ReplyDeleteThe first & foremost step need to be taken is stop the funding of these NGOs. All the traitors r ganged up and ruining India & targeting Hindus in the burqa of HUMAN RIGHTS & SUCKULARISM. These NAZAYAZ Aulads working for the vested interests.
ReplyDeleteEvery body should read the Breaking India to understand more this article.. This is only one example.. In this book many example has given
ReplyDeleteSee the front page of todays Mumbai Mirror. Xavier's principal attacks Gujarat model. In fact, this principal Mascarenhas has been very active in the circle attacking Hindu organizations and Modi over the last many years. He is also part of various NGOs fighting against "communal forces", as well as the Committee for Defense of Teesta Setalvad!! He utilises the premises of St Xavier's College for promoting AAP and their recruitment drive, and the college website for his political agenda. Such is the "secularism" of these people.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr. THADHANI, as a regular reader of this website, those were the thoughts that crossed my mind on reading that article in the paper today. Thanks Raviner for yr insightful articles, looks like we are getting politically wiser too.

1) Avoid foreign goods and services as much as possible even if it is better/cheap than swadeshi products.
ReplyDelete2) Avoid doing business with people who is against Modi.
3) Pay more by cash or kind to poor servants who follow Indian traditions, else someone will bribe them.
4) Try to take holidays in all hindu/jain/sikh/buddhist festival even if its a loss of pay. Participate in those festivals by buying things related to the festivals.
5) Read books by Rajiv Malhotra, Vivekananda, Aurobindo etc.
6) Encourage your children to see Ramayan, Chota Hanuman/Bhim, Panchatantra, etc and answer their questions.
7) Read Mediacrooks.com
These are some of the steps which can be done by normal people.
A few more if I may suggest
Delete1. Speak , interact as much as possible in Indian , vernacular languages. Charge a premium for interacting in English ( govt, psu's , big business houses).
2. Discourage western culture in make up, dress
3. Make learning of Sanskrit and Hindu scriptures mandatory for all Hindu kids.
4. Promote skills around manual work, promote entrepreneurship.
..
the list can go on. I will stop it here.
"Avoid foreign goods and services as much as possible even if it is better/cheap than swadeshi products." such grand stupidity will keep India poor. trade and capitalism always bring prosperity, you fool.
Delete@paritosh jadhav,
DeleteTrade and capitalism should bring prosperity to oneself , otherwise no point if it brings prosperity to others and not to oneself. Swadeshi is about self respect , self reliance and being able to be in a position of strength to get prosperity for oneself and ones community ( nation)
Ravinar, excellent as usual. Now it is not possible to hoddwink people easily. Some pseudo-seculars are (some 75 signatories) to canvas against NaMo in Varanasi. All these games will fall flat. Any amount of inducement, coercion, etc., will not turn away masses from NaMo. I am confident that BJP on its own will definitely cross more than 307 to 325 come what may.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you are right. I am 75 years old and May 15th is like exam result day.
DeleteExcellent article, MC. In recent interviews, Modi is indicating that he is not interested in dealing with crooks. His focus would be on doing "positive" work. Honestly, you can do all constructive work, but unless you put some of these crooks behind bars, they'll keep creating problems. Govt cant close their eyes for the fear of being seen as "vindictive". There has been lot of hope that Modi sarkar will not be same as Vajpayee sarkar, but looks like Modi sarkar will be same as Vajpayee sarkar in some aspect. My suggestion to Modi would be to give Subramaniam Swamy charge of dealing with these crooks and let others focus on governance.
ReplyDeletePathik, Amit Shah and Swamy will take care of the crooks. Swamy should be nominated for Rajya Sabha MP by BJP. He is the best candidate for Home/Finance/External-Affairs Ministry. Modi should also be careful of riots after he becomes PM. Losers may start a riot and blame him for that; much like when he became CM first time.
DeleteAgree wit @myghosthut excepting that law and order is state issue and Modi would turn the heat on chief ministers. I am waiting for may 16 with bated breathe. He gets 272 on his own, India takes off to reach another orbit. Alternatively , if NDA struggles to get 272, then euphoria will be short lived.
DeleteLets hope so!!
DeleteI don't think Modi is going to be kind to those anti national pieces of crap.We are going to have our vengeance after may 16.

I would like to draw your attention to Vietnam War, beyond the mumbo jumbo of Capitalist Vs communists fight, there was a significant Vatican/ Missionary angle to this conflict, would make a nice case study for your next post, a sneek peak http://www.shmoop.com/vietnam-war/religion.html

Excellent! We have the example of the Xaviers College principal in Mumbai writing an email to students about the demerits of the Gujarat model and the merits of CONgress sponsored schemes. It is ill befitting a college principal to get into a political debate under the garb of "educating students to make an informed choice".
ReplyDeleteRavinar,
ReplyDelete1.Few Weeks back you have pointed that in you article that "Hunting Season is Over" and now with the new emerging facts, you might have to consider your views on that. I was surprised last time when you said it will end, we had our intuition that it will only continue in new forms.
2. The hunting season will continue albeit in new forms, you see people will always suspect if you allege a person for failures if you are not in Govt but in opposition but every allegation on you will ring true and will be credible when you are in Govt. So the hunting will only get more vicious.
3. India is the easiest country for the evangelicals for harvesting souls, with its liberal attitudes, weak governance and de-cultured elite and a big impoverished population, it offers a perfect location for them.
4. I have always suspected the conflict with Islamic nations was not about any real liberal agenda but the fight with the resistant nature of Islamic people to withhold their cultural lifestyles. If liberal and democratic agenda was top of the west's mind, why would such authoritarian and demagogic regimes of Middle-east are befriended by the west. These kind of Conversion activities will not be tolerated by any islamic nation and that is the primary reason for conflict with the West, rest is simply convenient media narrative.
5. The far east nations of Japan, China, Korea (however it had turned to Christianity) etc have managed to thwart the west's agenda by improving their countrie's economic standing there by making the incoming dollars irrelevant. Because poor are most vulnerable to these inducements, West target those countries in a big way which are economically weak.
6.Strange as it may seem, the best anti-dote to this problem is partnering with the west's industry and keeping sustained growth of the Indian economy. These lobbyists get weaker when the trade rings more important factor than anything else and once West realizes its business interests supersede everything else including hidden agendas.
7.Finally in any democratic structure, the opposing two parties fight in out, major political narrative does not change radically. With the entry of Sonia into Nehru family has changed that radically. In 80's even though the Congress was nominally secular, it was atleast not seen as anti-Hindu. But our conviction of the last decade must be put to rest that this is primarily anti-Hindu Govt run due to one pest called Sonia. And only when the family leaves congress will the Congress go back to being nominally and importantly not being anti-Hindu.
By the way, your revelations about Ranjit Sinha is shocking to say the least and I wonder why would a guy like a CBI head bow so much to these rascals.
@Vamsi
DeleteNot accurate. Hunting season is over - That referred to all the bogus cases being raised against Modi. That was a "sustained" campaign over time. That is done. After that I wrote a post called "The 11th hour".. What youre seeing now is the the 11th hour action around the Election season. Both are two different things.. these are desperate measures by the Hate-Modi camp who have no answers to his challenges anymore.
Vamsi, I agree with Ravinar, also, if those who are against Modi, stop now, their very existence is be threatened.
DeleteHere is an interesting blog by Koenraad Elst on the prejudice of western media against Hindus. He makes a shocking revelation that western countries hardly bother about who comes to power in India and it is Indian commies there who make a hue and cry.
ReplyDeleteSorry. this is the link:

K Elst is another clique and very controversial figure. Kindly be careful on his posts in interpreting them. Likewise we also have few so called (not all of them) Western Hindus with whom this fellow has developed links and influencing the Hindus. Elst has a definite leaning for British colonials, if nothing else. He criticises missionaries but he does the same for Hindutva by incessant fault finding while does nothing positive. He knows that criticising Christian missionaries few times won't matter to missionaries but it will impress Hindus and then help missionaries that way. I haven't seen a single positive contribution by Elst for Hindus or in favour of India at large. When he lives in Belgium, his children go to Catholic missionary schools, he comes to India only for few months, them vanish again, I don't know, "What to make out of it"? Please be careful of such cliquish ppl.

ReplyDeleteCan anybody explain?

Thank you brother
DeleteRavinar,
ReplyDeleteIam more worried about impact of AAP and NGO's after the elections. AAP leaders like YY have hinted at "fire". One of the founder member of AAP, who has a long association with AK, in a video interview with "Chauthi duniya" says openly that anti-nationals and maoists meet AAP leaders. Given this background, I fear that any decision taken by Modi to get India moving will be countered by agitations and anarchy around the country. I also feel that religious card will be used to fuel discontent. Gujarat 2002 happened just after Modi took over and started challenging status-quo.
Given your sharp insight and observation, I feel it is time for a "pre-emptive strike" series of posts on the strategy that will be used for this and ways to counter it.
It all depends on the voters mandate. Reading between the lines of the various interviews of Modi , his strategy is to overwhelm thru investment , development and good governance . Yes, if people are kept preoccupied in gainful employment and in pursuit of livlihood, every opposition will self destruct. Law and order is state subject so he would not be much worried on riots, Maoists attacks , agitations .
Deletejust as harvesting souls is very easy in India , so too to rule if one has the mandate and the right intentions . Let us all hope for a clear mandate for bjp or at least NDA .
Brilliant as usual. If you maintain this consistency in your writing, you will reach the 10 million readership mark this year.
ReplyDeleteYour articles are straight, well-researched and in depth. I also like the way you begin and end your piece. You have excellent story-telling ability. Hope you got the message - write books.
India’s NGO racket of human trafficking
ReplyDeleteBy Rajiv Malhotra on Oct 16, 2013
http://m.niticentral.com/post.php?p=146233
>>>>>
Dramatic scandals routinely fill India’s media headlines about some poor victim from a remote area being exploited by upper strata Delhi elites. Yet there is no investigative journalism to uncover the inconvenient facts about certain NGOs that operate what amounts to a human trafficking industry. One reason for this conspiracy of silence is that the traffickers are linked with some politically connected NGOs that make noises in the metros ostensibly on behalf of the victims. In reality the noise made serves to cover up the sinister role of NGOs in this industry that brings Christianity to the remote villages in exchange for maids to Delhi.
The elaborate scheme works as follows. Christian missionaries in adivasi (indigenous, “tribal”) areas offer poor families an inducement that is hard to resist: If the family converts to Christianity, one of its young daughters will be sent as a domestic servant to Delhi or another metro.
The affiliated “agencies” in the metros collect placement fees up to Rs 50,000 per maid from the household that hires them. In between the point of “recruitment” and the point of placement there are intermediaries that “sell”, transfer and move the young, vulnerable person through the supply chain. Money is exchanged at each stage.
The agencies keep relocating the same girl from one employer to another every few months in order to collect their placement fee repeatedly. This disruption adds to the trauma of the young girl. The agency becomes, by default, her only hope of security, and in the process she becomes even more vulnerable to the agency’s exploitation. Delhi alone is estimated to have several thousands of such girls being brought every year.

One simple question
DeleteHow can you prevent a person from converting to another religion if it is helping him get some money, livelihood, some relative prosperity ???
So long as this issue is not addressed , the business of conversion will thrive. Nobody actually cares for God or religious strictures , it is money and survival that drives conversion and keep groups together . Hinduism, vhp , swami Vivekanand , rajeev malhotra et al cannot combat the power of money and the incentive it provides .

Since childhood, I am very familiar with a saying that in Indian politics and intelligence agencies, you will find more foreign agents (especially CIA) than real Indians. Innumerable incidents are there, but it is not the space and time too. I just want to comment on only one aspect of this article.
ReplyDelete'If that fails, engineer mass conflicts in India using AAP and destroy the fabric of India.'—it was, is and will be their last weapon to destroy India and they have already experimented with that through AAP (modified CONG). It is clear now that congress is counting its days as that family of rogues losing ground thick and fast. So, naturally the rogues will find another den and this time it is AAP (cong allies, so called regional parties are just clueless as days of caste/relegion based politics and vague regional sentiments are almost over). Today like economics, you cannot think politics of a any country isolated from different international events. And, so, in Arab spring, recent developments in Ukraine, you will discover AAP and purpose of it. They have failed to govern Delhi. They knew it. It has not been created for that or for any meaningful purpose but just to create ‘mass conflicts’. They will.
I have mentioned here before that now it is up to ‘majority’ Indians to save India. Unite and fight else – time does not give chance to fools.
Hi Ravinar, great article again. I suggest you sign off your articles with Hasta la Teesta as a sort of punch-line.
ReplyDeleteWe grew with a commercialised version of christianity, everything being cool about Christians... Christmas, carols, fascination towards the west, Mount Mary fair in Mumbai, it was always projected as a COOL religion. My first experience to the "Other" side was when I accompanied a friend of mine to church. After the prayers the friends family was speaking to the Father, somehow the Father having seen the thread on my wrist, stopped his conversation with the family and engaged into a conversation with me, after a small introduction all he could portray over the next 5-10 mins was Jesus is better than Ram, your coming today to church is the first sign.... anyway I was too young to be bothered about religion and 20 yrs down the line I remain a Hindu, stuck to my roots. My second experience was in 2008 during the US elections, I just couldn't understand the barrage of criticism thrown at Obama as a candidate and the hatred towards him, then I started reading to understand where is this coming from? thats when I discovered the dark side of fanatic christianity, more dangerous that the Jihadi's. Luckily the moderates who pray, yet are also practical that the economy does not run on miracles voted for Obama. Similarly that will be repeated with Modi in India (Hindu's supporting him are not fanatics, but know economic growth is also imp). Thank you for highlighting the nexus, my fear was real and you can see these people spreading their wings worldwide... I think In India Muslims and Hindus have more cultural similarities than any other religions, the hate is portrayed between Hindus and Muslims, while these people quietly carry out their activities behind the scenes. Modi being a vishnu avataar, as someone had tweeted is so true. Hope there is enough intelligence gathering from his govt, to tackle the disruption before it occurs.

DeleteYour mention of American elections reminds me of a discussion I had with an US citizen. The world's oldest democracy still has not chosen a women as a commander of its Armed forces (i.e) The President. Obama chose Biden instead of Hillary as his running mate to offset him being "Black". On the other hand McCain, who is not a fundamentalist Christian, chose Palin who was thought to be more Christian and could consolidate Republican votes.
If you look at the history of American Presidents, except JFK all were non-catholics. My friend said that the overwhelming trend is that White, Protestant, Male have been the Presidents. Barack Obama is the only exception and he is not exactly Black, he is half white. MSM in India would like you to believe that India is a under-developed country with medieval thoughts. The very fact that the matters of faith, sex and religious beliefs are widely discussed in American Media during elections, itself is a proof of the Medieval mindset and not a liberal mindset. It is an irony that US tries to civilize the world with its interventions.
hi vijayraghav rao & all
ReplyDeletedon't forget - even a small pebble can create enough disturbances in the water - so we should never underestimate the strength of even that small pebble.
Undoubtedly, these animals enjoyed a great run and managed to create quite an havoc & terror among us for far-far-far too long but not anymore - now it's time to halt their bloody run and talk to them in the language that they speak-that they understand-that they preach and they definitely don't speak-understand or preach the language of love-knowledge-tolerance or freedom.
so if pebble is enough for them then ‘be that pebble’ - if that is not paying dividends then ‘be a rock’ and if even that proves insufficient then ‘be a storm’ and if even that doesn't gives you desired results then be a 'mahakaal'.
and we do not need to look around here there or anywhere to be that ‘one’ - it's 'me' you and each & everybody who has been given everything by this 'BrahMan' and it’s we & only we who have to see this great gift – realise our enormous potential – channelise our humongous energy and awaken the giant which sleeps in all of us.

Deleteagree. However I am unable to place the context of your above comment vis a vis anything that I have commented on this article.
Ravi this is excellent article. It gives insight about how this west is trying to destabilize India and hatred toward Modi since he is coming fro RSS back ground which does not suite West. In last 10 years of UPA west/Christian managed to infiltrate India with ease. Rising of Modi they will find difficult to do these anti Indian activities. On Hilary Clinton she has a Pakistani woman as her closest advisor who married to Jewes Dem.Congress man.US does not like Indian Leftish/Muslims as such but when it comes to India/Modi they will use these groups to destabilize India as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteC0u1dn't agree more, well said.
DeleteBy reading this sentence "likes to operate through NGOs, which are given funding through indirect channels, and which target individuals and countries" - anyone would assume it is about a terr0r gr0up or rebel gr0up or an ext1trem1st gr0up doing illegal gl0bal m0ney lawndering 0perat10ns. Definitely no one can think of a g0vt department. Such a fine line line between perceived legitimate and illegitimate!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post as usual. Informative. Udit Raj, who recently joined BJP & fought LS election from Delhi North West, is a member of Dalit Freedom Network (DFN). You'll find lot of info about DFN in Breaking India. DFN is an evangelical christian organization. He has worked with John Dayal. (Another member of DFN is Kancha Illaiah) On November 4, 2001, Udit Raj and thousands of Dalits across India left Hinduism in search of religious ideologies allowing freedom of conscience and promoting human dignity and social equality. You can connect the dots between the post, my comment & this tweet of Rajiv https://twitter.com/RajivMessage/status/453874004722712576
ReplyDeleteI think these anti Modi and anti Hindu groups are going to start all kinds of trouble after may 16.Riots,terror attacks,Maoist violence etc will be organized by those people to destabilize Modi.I hope Modi will live upto these challenges.
ReplyDeleteRavinar,
ReplyDeleteI have seen in Hyderabad how the semi-literate father's of Churches move around the city in Audi's and other higher end Cars, some have been even using SUV's and living in well maintained flats in suburban areas. Wonder how they got so much money.
As I remember, it was last two years of sudden inflow of dollar money in India that has made them wealthy beyond their dreams, a simple interview would tear open their knowledge about Bible and God. They gargle the same nonsense again and again without much thoughts.
Most of the preaching is done by special representatives who come up with weird sounding slogans to attract people to their venues.
Now the problem for them is they are so addicted to this free money coming from outside (only a portion of it is used to convert) that they dread the thought of even losing a fraction of it. Since this is supposed to be "secular " institution, Govts keep off from investigating their ill gotten wealth. Any honest Govt is a threat to this rascals.
While it is true that certain missionary groups are actively trying to lure Hindus from low income groups into the fold of Christianity, it would be a huge mistake to portray the entire West as anti-Hindu or anti-India. To be fair, common citizens of many Western countries are extremely concerned at the rapid growth of Islamic intolerance and venom spewed by radical Mullahs in major cities. I have been traveling in UK quite often in the last 2/3 years (business trips, mostly) and have seen several places where Pakistanis, Afghans and other Islamic groups live in claustrophobic ghettos; these are unofficial no-go zones for the whites; teenage white girls are passed around as sex toys between predatory Paki men and even Police fear to enter these areas. In the name of religious freedom, ugly bearded Maulavis openly deride other faiths and preach only Islam as path to salvation.
ReplyDeleteSimilar to India, the "West" is not a homogenous entity; there are many voices, many opinions, inner conflicts - as it should be in democratic societies. Yes, there are missionaries who use money power to spread religious conversions through NGOs or entice corrupt government officials to further their cause, but let us not paint the entire West with the same brush. It is important for us to understand this; as otherwise a justified criticism of proselyting missionaries may very quickly change to obsessive West bashing.
You don't really understand the mindset of people in the West, particularly the UK.
DeleteYes it is true that there are many voices in Western societies as you said. But an overarching sense of racial and cultural superiority is a fundamental pillar of the mindset there, for most at a deeply subconscious level. There has also been a persistent narrative that has sustained that delusion. How many people in the UK genuinely accept that their Empire was the biggest criminal organisation in history? How many are genuinely rueful at the damage they caused to other countries, not least India? Sure there are many people who recognise it, and in many cases for self-serving rather than altruistic reasons, but there are equally (if not more) people who are proud of it and refuse to acknowledge the most inconvenient facts. And what most people don't really get is that their concern about Islamic intolerance is highly selfish and largely rooted in racial chauvinism and presumptuousness. Do you think the majority of people in the UK care when Islamists commit atrocities in India against Hindus? They only care when white people are the targets. America, Australia, Canada - the Anglophone nations mainly. Ask yourself how many articles written in the UK press are sympathetic or fair to India? the vast majority expose their deep-rooted prejudice and contempt for India, the Indian people, and Indian culture.
I would concede that all this might be eroding in some places where racial and cultural homogeneity is well entrenched, and overall they may shed these outdated attitudes in time. But I feel the suggestion that we're painting the entire West with the same missionary-related brush has a few components made of straw - their general attitudes towards India are not necessarily about religion per se, but they are definitely influenced by a clear narrative which most people would sense is borne from a Western-centric supremacist agenda. So putting them under the spotlight *as a whole* is *absolutely* what we should be doing as part of the greater objective to both expose and neutralise the many burdens, external and internal, on our civilisation.
@Gautam
DeleteYou are extremely wrong to infer that there is "West bashing" or this may turn into "West bashing". The ghettos you see in UK are a consequence of the same vote-bank politics that you see in India. So in a way their politics is somewhat similar to that in India. I find a lot of good things in the West to borrow from and I most certainly do. But I do stand strongly against induced conversions and religious mischief. What we are seeing here is religion-influenced interference in Indian affairs. It's a serious danger that must be combated. That's the only point.

ReplyDeleteIts amazing all these ungrateful west bashing guys in this blog who have used English to write such toxic language against the same culture they have borrowed their knowledge and language only shows their bigotry and hypocrisy. remember India is Secular with equal rights guarantee to every citizen, when some bigot says we have tolerated enough then remember it also applies to them
ReplyDeleteRavinar,
ReplyDeleteYou have done an excellent job. I have been researching on the same lines for past some weeks and came across ur post in that quest. You have done an excellent job than I could have done. However, I still request here to all concerned to spread this Gospel of treachery by these Christians and Islamists as much as could be. Islamists are foolish bigots but Christians are very intelligent, crooked, shrewd and wicked fellows. Both are expert liars and will change their colour according to time, circumstances and people they meet. Until and unless their proselytising industry is condemned, restrained, this hate propagandas will continue and keep threatening the global peace. Both Christians and Muslims are running a continuous tug of war for the global Caliphate and these Middle East and African wars are a result of it. If Hillary Clinton becomes next US Prez, I may net be surprised if she incites WW III?
Sir, today it is been found in Warangal, AP that currency notes are in circulation promoting christianity
