On the program 'Face off' last evening on Headlines Today, Vir Sanghvi accepted he had made a mistake in stringing along someone like Nira Radia. In my blogs I have been quite critical of Sanghvi, but this honest acceptance and regret of a mistake is very refreshing and very welcome.
For a senior journalist to go public with his regret takes courage. And Vir Sanghvi has not only shown courage but tremendous humility by his act. One must now put this sorry episode concerning Sanghvi away and let him continue his journalistic pursuits without bringing up this topic again to confront him, except for the sake of a general discussion on media, and not as an individual.
I also look forward to Sanghvi restoring his 'Counterpoint' column and that he will return from his break very soon.

No doubt his performance was better than Barkha Dutt. But we should not jump to the conclusion at this stage.Only 2% of tapes have been leaked and if sources are to be believed this is only tip of the iceberg.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I will ever develop the same faith him ever again.
