Revenge

The RV on the wrong trip:

On April 9 a special RV (recreation vehicle) created by Headlines Today was trundling through the roads of UP. It is somewhat of a media equivalent of a political “road show”. Inside the bus were people like Rahul Kanwal, Arun Poorie, Ashok Lahiri (a Psephologist) and a few passengers. So they reached Muzaffarnagar and Kanwal got interviewing some Jat farmers in the region. Here’s how the transactions went (not verbatim but accurate):

RKanwal: Who will you vote for?
Farmer:  We will vote for Narendra Modi.
RK: But your leader is Ajit Singh, don’t you support him?
Farmer: Yes we support Ajit Singh but we’ll vote for Modi, so BJP.
RK: But why?
Farmer: He is contesting first time from this region, so we will give him a chance.
RK: But Modi has not done anything for you, why vote for him?
Farmer: We have benefited a lot from Gujarat in our farming techniques and received a lot of help from Gujarat.

The media has grown up on a diet that makes them feel villagers are dumb idiots who don’t think and just vote emotionally. Sitting in their studios for many years has alienated them from people. People vote not just emotionally but also by “experience”. The farmers explained they have had bad experiences with SP, BSP and Congress so they will take a chance with Modi. Kanwal found it hard to digest that there is indeed a Modi wave and like his fellow morons like Sagarika, Barkha, Rajdeep and other Hammamis he would like people to believe Modi is not a vote-catcher. The farmers aren’t just thirsting for better times but they are also thirsting for revenge against non-performers like SP, BSP and Congress as they stated.

Just like the other actor called Rahul Gandhi who goes to villages and eats Dalit food, this Rahul also drove a tractor to feel like a farmer before meeting them. Driving a tractor doesn’t make you empathise with a farmer. It’s more like a joyride and fun. To understand someone it takes living their lives for a few days at least. Neither Rahul nor Sonia Gandhi has ever really done that. Modi has lived the life of a villager and therefore is able to connect with them. This is something our spiteful media morons do not understand. They are still busy with why Modi wave or why no Modi wave. Despite all their mental masturbation our media folks still don’t understand how and why people vote. They demonstrate their ignorance and stupidity each time a major election is around. (Read here for an explanation on how people go about it).

The “Kill Modi” Project:

The Hindu, headed by N Ram and edited by P Malini have been frequently putting out a list of so called “intellectuals” who oppose and condemn Modi and urge citizens to ensure he doesn’t become PM. Criticising a politician for valid reasons (and even invalid reasons as the scumbags at The Hindu have been doing) is part of normal life. But frequently putting out “FATWAS” concocted by alleged intellectuals is no different from Imam Bukhari issuing a fatwa. The Hindu published such a letter in February and again this month on April 6. Not satisfied with the response to the first instalment they posted on the 6th the edited and updated the list with a longer list of names which may have been added later. Of course, the fraudulent “The Hindu” did not update the date and timestamp of this update. I can tell because I did post a pic of their fatwa in my previous post:

The updated page is longer and full of the most spiteful idiots that float around our society in the garb of “intellectuals”. I say this and I say this bluntly, all of these people including the owners and editors of The Hindu would like to see Modi dead. They share the same sentiments as many terrorists and anti-nationals.

There is the other gang of Rajdeep Sardesai and Sagarika Ghose who have been inciting hatred (and even violence) in their shows against Modi. Rajdeep was, on April 8, kicking and screaming as if the BJP had conspired to have Kejriwal slapped when the truth turned out different. I don’t think any more proof is needed about these “staged” slaps which seem to produce a lot of money for Kejriwal & Co. And the Category5Moron has been provoking Muslims from Jamia to Chandni Chowk to Meerut to Vadodara. These and some others would also like to see Modi dead. They are desperately screaming on their channels every day and night hoping some major accident will happen politically or physically that will kill Modi. That is some revenge they seek for imaginary crimes. I doubt voters are thinking like these people are thinking and expect them to suffer more heartburns in due course.

The Christian Missionary’s revenge:

Christianity is not known to encourage body tattoos or piercings. But over the years tattoos have become popular in their culture too, especially with Biblical messages. Some good and some a reminder of “things to do”. It is the Christian belief that the Lord will avenge sinners and criminals on behalf of the believers. Here’s the vicious Max Cady ready with his vengeance messages for 14 years of prison he feels was the consequence of a lawyer who did not defend him well (Cape Fear). At a strip search at a police station a detective remarks “I don’t know if I should look at him or read him”.

In the last few days, the 11th hour as I call it, there has been a flurry of activity from many foreign journals too. They too have been busy spewing venom against Modi and warning how Modi is a danger to India, particularly to the minorities. It isn’t just the journals, even the US Minority Commission hurriedly organised a meeting to make an appeal to Indian voters. Most of the writers of the articles in these Hindu-hating, clandestine Christianity-promoting journals are Indians from the same stables similar to The Hindu, CNN-IBN and NDTV variety. Their motive is clear: Keep India down, keep it corrupt and have their stooges like the Congress in power. And each time these motivated criminals put out an article our local town criers devotedly tom-tom their messages. Sagarika was quoting “The Economist” to locals at Baroda on the magazine being against Modi as if anyone gave a damn what that magazine thinks.

In the end the crowd at Baroda ended up shouting “Modi, Modi, Modi” and it must have caused more pain to Sagarika. When news channels and print media become political campaigners instead of observing, reporting and commenting, the people start sensing it. I have maintained a long time that the MSM is the first line of defence for the corrupt. In the death of Congress and its clones, they see their own death. It is not just those upper middle class or rich people who recognise the media for the liars they are but even the modest daily-wager auto-driver recognises it.

Vengeance is mine” says the Lord for the Christians. However, in these elections from Muzaffarnagar to Mumbai, from Varanasi to Vadodara voters are seeking revenge. They don’t just want to throw out a corrupt Congress govt. They want revenge at the ballot and something tells me they will get it too. The media’s corruption too has run its course. The auto driver’s sticker in the pic as a constant reminder says it all.

Headlines Today - 200 Crore Wardrobe Malfunction

It’s not so very long ago that we had a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ from NDTV where the anchor was caught advising a panellist “Thoda Congress ke taraf se defend kar dena”. That gave us a glimpse into what anchors do when they think it’s a break or the camera or audio is off. But we now have another case of an anchor dwelling upon what would be good news for the day. This one is from Headlines Today. Meet Ruchica Tomar:

What Ruchica and Headlines Today do not realise is that lately even their “off-air” comments and conduct are being watched. This happened during the coverage of the Uttarakhand tragedy by Shiv Aroor and Ruchia was just about to report on a Compounder who had managed a 200-Crore scam. Watch the video below (43secs) and particularly Ruchica’s comments from 0.10 onward.

I’m reproducing what she said in Hindi: “Bhagwan yaar! Yeh hai success story. Isko dikhana chahiye good news today. Isse bolte hai success story. Pakda kaise gaya bechara?”. Why not! A 200-crore scam is indeed a success story these days. I have reproduced what I heard but if there are any corrections please do point out. I also leave the English translation to readers and their imagination. Now, do bear in mind that I am not accusing the anchor of anything; it may have been just anguish. I don’t know. But what it does show is that HT and AajTak who are frequently touting their “Anchor-training” programmes may have to add a chapter on “off-air expressions and conduct”.

Our news channels scream Justice4This and Justice4That but behind the scenes they can be quite hollow as we have come to know. This video was not on air on Headlines Today. It was a ‘behind-the-scene’ stuff picked up by someone. TV News channels will now want to realise they are being watched from the outside and also from the inside. That’s a good sign for people.

Update: (July 8, 8.17am): It was pointed out by a commenter that the anchor in the video is not Nida Khan but Ruchica Tomar. I have made the correction and apologise to Nida Khan for wrongly identifying her as the anchor.

Note: The eerie laughter you hear at the end of the video is not mine!

NDTV & Tehelka - Faking Limits

A political witch-hunt is usually to destroy someone’s political career. But in India the single biggest hunt is not just to destroy someone politically but to also protect the misdeeds and failures of some. When it comes to such a hunt both NDTV and Tehelka are like a tag-team. It’s not a secret that both these outlets are Congress doormats. Instead of the usual explanation let’s also go through a pictorial of this by NDTV & Tehelka.

Here’s a pic from WeAreTheBest. One of the first things that the Congress govt did on returning to power in May 2004 is to restore the broken-down Tehelka. Well, after all this propaganda magazine had helped targeting the Congress opponents. Since then Tehelka has been repaying the debt by helping Congress in targeting all its opponents.

Tehelka is famous for using prostitutes as decoys in their sting operations. I guess that practice turned their journalism itself into prostitution. So on June 7, in another instalment of Modi-hunting in the Ishrat case, they put some CBI papers they claim to have accessed and a conversation between some officers to refer to “Black beard” and “White beard” being in the know. This is like a “he said, she said” kind of story that I doubt any sensible investigating unit would use as “evidence”. But then CBI doesn’t have a reputation like that. If indeed CBI papers are being leaked then obviously you know who would be behind it. Post this particular article Tehelka the “Seeta” has a chat with Rana Ayyub the “Geeta”. They are like twin sisters chatting with each other.

The person who operates the Tehelka Twitter handle must be either an idiot or Tehelka itself is an absolute idiot. The Rana article appeared in Tehelka so the moron operating the handle interviews her about it. That’s why I call it the “Seeta Aur Geeta” type interview where both the handles are cooking in the same kitchen. Then even more stupidly the Tehelka handle tells Rana in the bottom tweet to read “more” of her own article. Priceless! This Rana even went on to indict the whole CMO of Narendra Modi in the Ishrat case in another tweet. However, she may have realised one shouldn’t fake it beyond limits so deleted the tweet on the left. So officially that statement doesn’t exist. This seems to be a practice with Tehelka (Sometimes also referred to on Twitter as “TheHalka”). Earlier they interviewed their own editor Shoma Chaudhury on her article in Tehelka.

So it is evident that Tehelka itself doesn’t read articles appearing in the magazine so I assume only folks at NDTV read it since they use the masala from it to produce their own “exclusive and explosive” exposes. If you don’t observe carefully, whenever these Congress doormats have to talk about corruption or misdeeds they will use “UPA” not “Congress”. When good things happen they will talk about “Sonia” and “Congress”. It’s a very well-rehearsed arrangement. So, per practice, NDTV uses the Tehelka article of June 7, and Sreenivasan Jain makes loud noises about NDTV getting their hands on CBI documents of “Black beard-White beard” stuff. I don’t know why they have to use stealth and get those documents when Tehelka gives it all to them free. Isn’t that stupid? Because there was nothing in the NDTV nonsense on June 27 that wasn’t there in the Tehelka nonsense of June 7! So Sreenivasan Jain calls 1 from BJP, 1 from the IB and 4 from the Congress+others hunting Modi to debate it. The IB guy was there to only to defend the IB guy and the organisation but the other 4 were designed as “prosecution” to sentence Modi with Jaynarayan Vyas as the defending lawyer. Why bother? NDTV has already sentenced Modi long back and is only awaiting confirmation from some court. Take a look at this image from Sreenivasan’s witch-hunt:

The question as the headline is one of the most mischievous practices of our criminal media. While posed as a question the perception attempted is that Modi knew of the encounter and is therefore guilty. Of course Modi is guilty! He is guilty of knowing even about 9/11 and had advance information from the US on the Osama raid too. Everyone knows all this, except the morons at NDTV and Tehelka. Kartikeya Tanna quite nicely nails the lie of Jain who grandly claimed that the High Court had already pronounced the Ishrat case a “fake encounter” in the article CBI forging ‘facts’ in Ishrat case? at Niti Central. If the HC already ruled it was a fake encounter it doesn’t to occur to “black-beard” Srinivasan that CBI wouldn’t be investigating the case right now and he wouldn’t have had to do his bogus show at all. But well, this is NDTV so they just forgot to put out the “disclosure” that they use inaccurate information in their Cookery shows.

Is that all? Well, just about it except that while these two media outlets fake it to the limit they forgot another thing. The Tehelka article appeared on June 7, NDTV claimed they got CBI papers on June 27. And on June 28 even Headlines Today ran a “me too” show claiming they got CBI papers too. Damn! Looks like these CBI papers are flying all over the place or are being sold cheaply at Chandni Chowk. It must be brought to notice of these very people that on June 14 (much after the Tehelka stuff on June 7) it was reported widely that a senior CBI official himself stated there was “no evidence against Modi” yet.

I hope NDTV and Headlines Today have managed to cover up the goof-ups of Rahul Gandhi in Uttarakhand. The local people had actually protested his disaster tour. Having screamed about Modi let’s hope like these channels the people too will forget the incompetence of Congress in handling the disaster and the aftermath. The relief trucks grandly flagged off by SoniaG are also stranded and rotting. Let’s hope people will forget all this and that RahulG once again proved himself a miserable failure. The Courts will decide on the Ishrat case but there is a reason propagandists like NDTV, Tehelka and Headlines Today suddenly scream a lot about the case.

Fekulogy By NDTV & Headlines Today

One of the most interesting developments of the last few days of Narendra Modi speeches at multiple events is that the MSM has run out of fire. NDTV, Headlines Today, CNN-IBN found that the battle on Social Media and Twitter was far more exciting than the silly debates on their channels. Needless to say, many in the MSM were quite upset that #PappuCII had trended during and after Rahul Gandhi’s speech at CII on April 4. The Pappu trend was covered internationally and each journal and news outlet explained what the term meant. In short, RahulG as “Pappu” was being referred to as a naïve, dumb kid. Well, considering his speech and interaction at CII it wasn’t quite off the mark. Naturally, channels like NDTV and Congress supporters were thirsting for revenge and wanted desperately to similarly trend the Modi speeches in a negative fashion.

Narendra Modi’s speeches themselves were largely on expected lines. There was great oratory, facts, wit and sarcasm. It started with the women’s wing of FICCI, then an interaction at the ThinkIndia event at CNN-IBN on April 8 and then another one at Kolkata on April 9. Minutes after the Kolkata event ended, NDTV jumped for joy and reported #Feku was still trending on top. This #Feku hashtag was supposedly the Congress response to #PappuCII as our media would have you believe. So Headlines Today, NDTV and some newspaper outlets were indulging in the same predictable LIES again. Unable to come up with anything substantial against Modi’s speeches, except the usual suspects singing the 2002 song, the media was thrilled with the #Feku tag. Headlines Today reported “Congress draws first blood” in Twitter battle and then headlined “Feku trumps ModiStormsFICC”. The hashtag #ModiStormsFICCI started with a tweet by me just before the start of Modi’s speech at FICCI. It’s not clear who created the #Feku tag as everyone was using it, including Congress and BJP supporters.

Now, here’s the problem: Both #PappuCII and #ModiStormsFICCI are very clear hashtags and the reference to the person concerned is not ambiguous. In contrast, the #Feku tag is a very generic tag that can be used by anyone to target anyone but the media went around lying that the #Feku tag was created by Congress to target Modi when facts do not support such a contention. Take a look at this tweet from Pawan Durani at 3.00pm on April 8, which is just a while after the FICCI event:

Notice carefully, that all the TOP tweets at that point of time were using #Feku for Rahul Gandhi and not Modi. But yes, the Congress supporters were also using #Feku to target Modi. As a consequence of both sides using the same hashtag it became the top trend. There wasn’t any question of Congress drawing first blood or #Feku trumping #ModiStormsFICCI. If only Congress supporters had used #Feku there is hardly any doubt it would not have been the top trend. It is because the supporters of both Congress and BJP were using the tag that it became the top trend. In fact, in the later part of the day on April 8 it was the BJP supporters who had hijacked the tag and most of the tweets with #Feku were by them.

What is laughable is that TV news channels are now watching Twitter battles and that is surely a good sign for social media regardless of which political group one supports. As is the tradition with NDTV, the lies continued and in their Social Network programme on April 8 the anchor was desperately trying to suggest there was a battle between #Feku and #Pappu. That was hardly the case and as @Surnell points out, both tags were being used interchangeably as substitutes. Moreover, Pappu wasn’t used for just the CII event, RahulG is frequently referred to by that name. So once again NDTV was reporting on a battle without the slightest bit of fact-check. Well, I guess fact-check is not in their DNA when their reporting comes to Congress.

The single most tweeted and re-tweeted tweet With #ModiStormsFICCI on April 8 was one that I had posted in a sarcastic reference to RahulG’s “man on a horse” comment from CII. The CNN-IBN screen grab shows the tweet was RTd 458 times. By afternoon of April 9 the tweet was already RTd almost 600 times. So the battle between #Feku and #Pappu is a fake one that NDTV reported. To add to that Rahul Kanwal also spent an entire primetime session on the fake battle between #Feku and #ModiStormsFICCI. Kanwal was ecstatic that some Congress hashtag had beaten the other tag when that was hardly the case. A successful hashtag on Twitter usually has a direct reference to the target. #PappuCII had no ambiguity on who the beneficiary of the tag was. #ModiStormsFICCI had no ambiguity about the beneficiary. So for Rahul Kanwal to claim that #Feku had a clear target or beneficiary reflects his ignorance about Twitter and hashtags.

Neither NDTV nor Headlines Today could manage to poke any holes in Modi’s speeches. Some female media anchors and panellists were woefully picking on nonsense like women being called “Ma or behen”. Such frivolous crap is all they could come up with. In contrast, the audience at FICCI, at ThinkIndia and Kolkata were thrilled by the interaction, so were many other observers in the media. So when they couldn’t find any genuine criticism to hurl at Modi the news channels and newspapers like Indian Express turned to imaginary Congress victories on Twitter. More than Tweeple from either side it was the news channels who indulged in a lot more “Fekulogy” as I call it. But I derive immense satisfaction from the fact that the social media is now dictating the discourse to MSM. That is for everyone to celebrate, regardless of political persuasions. The MSM is already famous for “Fekulogy”, they just fell into a new trap of the art.
