BCCI & Kohli - A National Disgrace

Winning and losing is part of sports. Winning thrills us and losses hurt us; especially when the loss is a thrashing that comes from Pakistan. That is the nature of Cricket with Pakistan. And the first ever loss in a World Cup match to Pakistan was a severe thrashing that seems to mean very little to Virat Kohli & co. He was dancing and giggling like a school girl on seeing her crush after the match with Pak players. There was no sense of sadness on his face. It is a dubious record VK created as captain – losing to Pakistan the first time in a world cup match. This is another rotten egg on his face after the infamous 36 in a Test match against Australia. VK may be a good batsman but seems to lack the character required for a captain or even a decent human being.

Long ago in his career VK in anger showed his middle finger to a jeering crowd. He and his obnoxious wife, Anushka Sharma, sermonize on Diwali or animal concerns while being pathetic hypocrites on most issues. The latest round of moronery of VK and the entire Indian team as also the Fiberal idiots of BCCI came before this T20 match with Pakistan. They were kneeling for “Black Lives Matter” as if it had anything to do with India or anything to do with the team and that too when the issue is now put behind in the US too:

The BLM movement in the US itself was a political campaign over George S Floyd leading up the 2020 Presidential elections. The Muslims in India first used it as a symbol of Muslim-oppression in India to equate themselves with the Blacks in the US. What exactly these cricketers and BCCI has to do with BLM after more than a year will remain a mystery. All these Fiberal acts follow from the disgraceful behaviour of the country’s PM Narendra Modi himself. Wanting to be a modern-day International Leader of sorts, Modi whines over attacks in Haiti, attacks in St. Vincent or riots on Capitol Hill in Washington DC. But the hypocritical Modi is blind to violence in India, attacks on Hindus and their temples in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Black lives matter more to Modi than Hindu lives. This is the only thing Kohli and his gang of idiots have also established.

In the post-match Presser, Kohli claimed that this “Knee Jerk” behaviour was directed by the team management. One has to assume it came directly from BCCI, from Jay Shah and Saurav Ganguly. Jay Shah is the son of Amit Shah and if the order came from him, I quite understand because he appears to be as much a brainless nincompoop as his father. His father goes around sermonizing in Kashmir on how he will win Kashmiris by talking to them while the GOI and JK govt covertly sell the whole of Kashmir to Dubai to be rebuilt. After Pakistan won the match, the Muslims exploded firecrackers in Delhi, Srinagar and many other places in India. This particular video (date unclear) of a Kashmiri woman and the entire lot singing and dancing for Pakistan trashes all the crap that Shah and Modi have been peddling on Kashmir. You cannot win the hearts of these traitors and anti-nationals (video 40 secs):

After the match, Kohli grandly went and hugged some Paki players as if he was celebrating. His face showed no regret or sadness for the pathetic performance they put up. On the right of the pic below is Rohit Sharma and the Paki captain Babar Azam. The commentator mentioned Sharma was asking Azam if the Pak team was also going to do the “Knee Jerk” before the first ball was bowled. It appears there was a deal between both teams to do the “Knee Jerk”. The clever Pakis, however, dumped the idea and let Kohli and his idiots kneel for the world like slaves:

If Kohli frequently behaves like an idiot and is a poor leader, his wife, Anushka Sharma, the below-average actress of Bollywood matches his hypocrisy and moronery every step. There is a streak of Anti-Hinduness, Fiberalism and moronic Wokiness running among both of them (and may be the whole cricket team). While Kohli lectures Hindus on Diwali on firecrackers, his hypocritical wife lectures on the noise of Diwali scaring dogs. All this while she hogs dead animals like she was born just to eat meat. It will be hard to find such a hypocrite:

Animals kills other animals because that’s the order of nature in their kingdom. The big fish eats the smaller fish. Any human that eats animals killed just to please their taste buds or rotten pleasures of food has no business to lecture Hindus on how animals should be treated. The cricketers are not issuing statements or taking positions based on some passionate pursuit of theirs but for the money they are being paid to be absolute jerks with their messages. Another cringe behaviour is the recent craze to look like the Taliban by most of the team members. All of them sport beards even in hot weather as if they are all 5-time Namazis who will fall to their knees or crawl for anything. In reality, that too is just to make some money endorsing some trimmer products for the bearded ones. I guess this sells more in Islamic countries and so the behaviour too:

We have had very successful players in the recent past like Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly and even the Muslim Azharuddin who didn’t sport beards for money or to please the Islamists. This nonsensical pursuit has been started by the current team led by Kohli and Sharma. These Fiberal, hollow characters will kneel for anyone, will crawl for anyone and even lick garbage for the sake of money. They will execute any stupid order and look stupid too. As they play the pajama game, there are Indian Jawans being killed in Kashmir. To cover up for this “Knee Jerk” nonsense, some of them fired up a fake “abuse of Shami” (the Muslim player in the team) to whip up sympathy for the Muslim and to distract. Those who did abuse Shami after the match with Pak were few and not a calamity by any stretch of imagination.

There are Hindus being killed in Bangladesh and temples being burned but they crawl and kneel for some BLM nonsense that doesn’t concern them and when the matter is more than a year old is not relevant. It is safe to believe this bunch of goats were used politically to divert from the Bangladesh killings of Hindus and the fresh terrorist attacks in Kashmir:

All this has come to such a pass that Bollywood and Cricket have now become a union of sorts in their bogus Fiberalism, anti-Hinduness and the abuse of their celebrity status. Bollywood is a harem of scumbags who were never any role-model for our children. Cricketers were once great role-models. Tragically, avarice-driven junk like Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others have made Cricketers a very disgusting lot and not role models anymore.

The Billion Lies

People working round the year usually take a break or a vacation sometime or the other. They hope to forget the heat and the problems back home and at work and spend time away from all of it. Some come back rejuvenated and raring to get back to work, some come back to the same problems they left behind. Nothing changes. Our media friends had a two-week vacation from their regular jobs and had a great time gorging on the beast called IPL. The IPL match-fixing scam worked as a trigger for a vacation from all other news items except for a couple of incidents and disasters. The BCCI is holding an emergency meeting today to deal with the case of N. Srinivasan who will be likely ousted from his position of president. The vacation may end but the billion lies of our media will return to other stories. This is just to record some bizarre coverage of the IPL scam.

At times like these the behaviour of the poor frontline reporters and cameramen turns absolutely insane. They behave like orphaned mongrels fighting over crumbs of food that someone just threw at the garbage dump in the street corner. The uncouth and uncivilised behaviour of these reporters during the arrest of Vindoo Dara Singh and Gurunath Meiyappan suggests they need training on civility first than in reporting. The image says it all. This happens every time the police arrest someone in a sensational case. The reporters hounded Vindoo right into the van in which he was taken away and jumped on Gurunath like a pack of dogs fighting for the leftovers. The siege of Gurunath was so bad that the police could take him from the vehicle to the Crime Branch office only after a serious struggle.

The players mostly remained silent throughout the vacation. The Indian team captain MS Dhoni refused to answer any questions about the IPL scam during his recent pressers. I believe he was right in remaining silent as he is not obligated to feed the media with the titbits they seek. And then Sachin Tendulkar spoke out stating he was “shocked and disappointed” at the events and that he was “hurt”. I wonder if any citizen would say anything different about the IPL scam. But for the media folks the interpretation was different. The small statements of SachinT was used to add more fuel to the campaign and Rajdeep Sardesai was the first get on TV and proclaim SachinT had “taken a stand”. What stand did Sachin take? This is how Rajdeep fools people. A mere statement about being hurt or disappointed is a statement any citizen would make but a call for some specific action would be a “stand”. Sachin called for nothing and now that he’s also an MP he throws crumbs that the salivating media gobbles as a major statement. Numero Uno’s vacation!

The more sensible and balanced statements weren’t coming from the media but from prominent citizens with a conscience. Shekhar Kapur rightly states less than 1% of our population follows cricket religiously yet the media makes you believe Srinivasan’s resignation will solve some major problems. Sucheta Dalal makes an even stronger point. How many of these same media celebs would talk about media houses and owners who are routinely entrenched in misdeeds and scams as is the BCCI. A day or two would have made some sense but the two-week long (and still continuing) campaign of the media against Srinivasan and the IPL scam looks like a conspiracy and a scam by itself. Naturally, where there’s a scam politicians can’t be far behind. None of the media celebs sought an investigation into the Radiagate scandal. Records suggest that Arun Jaitley, who is dabbling heavily in the BCCI affairs to set things right, was actually approached to protect a culprit in the Radiagate episode.

Then there are moments of comedy in every campaign the media undertakes that come as a relief and provide a good laugh. Nobody… Nobody does it better than the duo of Editor and Deputy Editor of CNN-IBN. The Editor is constantly striving for “integrity and credibility” which seems to elude him at every corner and the Deputy is constantly striving to surpass her Social Genius score. The “Numero Uno” guy hopes the BCCI and Srinivasan problems will get sorted out and his vacation can end and he can get back to his regular problems. The “Numero Unee” laments they didn’t tell us how many times Mahendra Karma was stabbed during the Chattisgarh naxal attack and media is crying over IPL. She does have a point. But the problem is “Numero Unee” and “Numero Uno” are as helpless as any other media celeb when a campaign is being dictated by political forces. They too were on vacation.

An article in The Telegraph clearly indicates that the whole campaign against Srinivasan and BCCI was driven by the Congress party and Sharad Pawar. Naturally! There are few tainted Congress members in Indian Cricket management. Rajiv Shukla represents the real power-mongering journalist who became an MP and then a BCCI bigshot. There is no reason to believe the Barkhas, Rajdeeps, Arnabs and Sagarikas are any different from Shukla. They are all Rajiv Shuklas still haunting the media. For over 15 days the Congress successfully managed to throw bigger crumbs to the media with the Bharat Nirman ads and kept them focused on the IPL scam. In the last 15 days I bet you wouldn’t have seen too many politicians or political spokies on your TV screen. They had a vacation too.

In every malicious, hate-filled campaign that the media carries out there is always someone who trumps everyone else with his sheer nonsense. And this time too, it was Arnab Goswami all the way. The man has truly become the symbol of the terrible disease that has inflicted our news media. First he spreads the canard of a billion people being cheated. This is an outright lie that he knowingly peddles for sensationalism. Only morons who constantly sit in a studio utter such crap. Shekhar Kapur rightly points out how many people really care about Cricket. Even if Kapur has just made a guesstimate I can tell you that in most places in India people still don’t know the IPL or BCCI.

There are many places in this vast country where people don’t watch anything let alone Cricket and they form a huge majority. And then Arnab follows it up with “Crusade for Cricket”. This guy probably believes he’s the Grand Mufti of TV and propriety but actually represents the worst in TV journalism. Calling it “cheating a billion” is the way that Arnab and TimesNow regularly cheat a billion people from real news and facts. It is a practice with Arnab to fool people with fake headlines and excessive screaming. I truly pity the reporters like Navika, Bhavtosh and others who work under him. They must feel like idiots having to work under someone who acts more like a circus joker.

The awful truth is that some cricketers and bookies may have cheated but they haven’t stolen your money. They have cheated your faith in the game but not your money. I believe the UPA which has not only cheated your faith but also cheated you of your own money is a far more serious issue than IPL betting and fixing. But the media can be silenced with a fair share of crumbs as we have come to learn. Now that this IPL campaign of a billion lies is nearing its end the media celebs will return to their regular job. They will return to “Hunting season” which is another way of protecting the Congress. And in doing so they will manufacture another billion lies right up to election season.

Walking The Dog

By now ‘Weapons of mass distraction’ (WMD) is a very commonly used phrase. Urban dictionaries define it quite accurately as politically charged non-issues used to distract those who live in a faith-based reality from the catastrophic failings of a political party, regime or ideology. Very often this means using scapegoats. I would use ‘faith’ here to mean MSM as against religion. ‘Weapons of mass distraction’ is also a movie where two filthy media moguls with the dirtiest secrets wage a war to own a football team. In their dirty battle they destroy the lives of many ordinary people. Sounds very much like our own corporations, political parties and media, doesn’t it? Even the innocent looking mobile or smart-phone is a WMD. Look around anywhere or even on TV screens, you will always find a lot people staring at their devices even when it’s not ringing or vibrating.

After Grammar specialist Ashwani Kumar and “innocent” scape-GOAT Pawan Kumar Bansal resigned on May 10 the Tiwaris and Singhvis had disappeared from the media. Fortunately for the Congress party the Pakistan elections were around and their best friends at NDTV and CNN-IBN kept their channels busy with non-stop coverage of Imran Khan and when they found time they covered the rest of Pakistan. A day earlier Barkha Dutt was already in Pakistan at the hospital where Imran Khan was being treated and, with Musharraf in jail too, she found the only interesting person in Pakistan to interview was one Aleema Khan. This Aleema is the sister of Imran. This was a lot like the Priyanka Gandhi interview of April 2009 except in more tragic circumstances. This art of distraction is also called “Wag the dog” which means to purposely divert attention from what would otherwise be of greater importance, to something else of lesser significance. By doing so, the lesser-significant event is catapulted into the limelight, drowning proper attention to what was originally the more important issue. The expression comes from the saying that 'a dog is smarter than its tail', but if the tail were smarter, then the tail would 'wag the dog'.

On Sunday, May 19 N. Srinivasan held a press conference over the latest IPL spot-fixing scam. For a scam which the media has been on and on for the last 4 days the meeting concluded in about an hour and his presser lasted longer. One reporter (probably from one our doggy channels) asked Srinivasan if legalising betting would solve the huge problem. You see, this is where the tail is smarter than the dog. Srinivasan answered the question ambiguously enough to make no sense. But it doesn’t occur to the reporter or our MSM in general that even if betting is legalised, match-fixing and spot-fixing cannot be legalised (Thanks for the wisdom, Rahul Kanwal). Both are two different things. Betting is legal in many countries, match-fixing is not. This nonsensical presser followed by Rajasthan Royals’ management stating they will file an FIR against the erring players was one more instalment of mass distraction. Let’s take a look at the chain of events.

Sreesanth and others were arrested late night on May 15. The spot-fixing incidents as claimed by Delhi police occurred on May 9 or earlier. So why did they wait till May 15 to arrest the accused especially when they had flown to different hotels away from their HQ? Interesting, eh? It so happens that on May 15 Sreesanth was sacked from the RR team by the management (see TOI report). A mere co-incidence? Okay! So on May 16 the story explodes and the Delhi PC, Neeraj Kumar, is all over the place on all channels beaming like a “dulha” on the major catch he had made (The pic is from his interview with Sunetra Choudhury on NDTV). And what does Delhi police do? Every hour they release juicy titbits to the media on how Sreesanth cried, there was a confession, there was no confession, how many bookies were involved, Dubai was involved, Pakistan was involved, Dawood was involved and blah blah. So like the box of parrots they are, our media were waiting to relay every bit of scrap being thrown at them. TimesNow even interviewed Himanshu Roy, the JCP of Mumbai who made no significant comments on the episode. Splendid!

The very next day (May 18) Himanshu Roy holds a press conference of his own in Mumbai to tell the world that they had seized a laptop computer, an ipad, and a mobile phone of Sreesanth. You know, the Delhi police went to Mumbai and arrested Sreesanth but the Mumbai police must have told them “please leave something for us”. So our very considerate Delhi police left these items for their Mumbai friends to mop up. So after the Delhi police left, the next day Mumbai police grabbed all these belongings of Sreesanth. This is truly inter-state police cooperation at its best, isn’t it? So after May 16 and 17 were dominated by the grinning Neeraj Kumar, his PR guys they said “over to Mumbai” and on May 18 Mumbai police hogged the limelight. Three days over a spot-fixing scam?

Since the spot-fixing scam goes beyond borders and indicates Hawala transactions there must be room for some more to join the fun. Enter the Enforcement Directorate! What do they say… “maan na maan me tera mehmaan”! So the ED jumps in and says they will now start a money laundering probe (Outlook). So in a couple of days you might find some ED guys on TV telling us what they are going to do, when they are going to do and how they are going to do it. That reminds me. The original IPL guy that the ED is still chasing, Lalit Modi, is happily settled in London and is on TV every time something happens in IPL. And Modi lectures everyone on the chastity of IPL when he was in charge. Talking about ED reminds me of another one. This Rajasthan Royals, the focus of all attention, was slapped a 100 crore fine by the ED for foreign exchange violations. Did they pay up? What happened to that? If you go the Telegraph article I challenge you to decipher who the owners of RR really are although the face being shown to us is that of Shilpa Shetty. There are names of so many finance companies and even Lalit Modi’s ‘jiju’ Suresh Chellaram is mentioned. All pretty complex as most IPL owners appear to be. And Shilpa Shetty says “Zero tolerance”. I believe her.

Maybe the IT and ED should first scrutinise funding of the owners of each IPL team with a fine tooth-comb before they venture into the spot-fixing scam which is of much lower value. But why should the news media be so carried away with this for over 4 days and still be going on and on about it. Surely, even if they are parrots they can’t be that dumb, can they? Or may they are wilfully so. All other issues of national interest have been pushed aside as former diplomat KC Singh laments. In the last 4 days other issues are covered only as a “break” like the Chinese PM’s visit or the resignation of two corruption-tainted ministers in Andhra Pradesh. Throughout this period there is a massive “Bharat Nirman” campaign running on all the channels. Mind you, these are not small 5-10 seconds ads, these are mostly full 90 seconds ads or even more.

The APCL (Andhra Pradesh Corruption League) has been covered up and pushed into to a corner of news items for over 4 years now. Even that “Truth V Tripe” guy didn’t have time to pay any attention to it. Propaganda channels like NDTV, CNN-IBN and lately Headlines Today simply refuse to do a complete story on the APCL. As high a minister as Home Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy and Roads & Buildings Minister D. Prasada Rao have been forced to resign because of corruption. It’s not just these two, there’s a whole team of people who are accused and I quote from The Hindu:

Other accused in the case include Jagan, V. Vijay Sai Reddy, Puneet Dalmia, Y. Srilakshmi, V.D. Rajagopal, Sajjala Diwakar Reddy, Sanjay S. Mittra, Neel Kamal Beri, Joy Deep Basu, Raghuram Cements (presently Bharati Cements), Dalmia Cement and Eswar Cements (now merged into Dalmia Cement) in that order.

The continuous coverage of the IPL spot-fixing, with mostly nothing new to add, is simply mind-boggling. I don’t believe that media houses have only now realised that the late YSR was running the most corrupt State govt in the country. The corruption loot could well match the 2G levels. Jagan Reddy, YSR’s son who is currently in jail under CBI cases, alone is reported to have acquired assets worth over 40000 crores. Amazing for a guy who had nothing much to start with! The Congress corruption in AP is not even debateable. No channel is demanding resignations and no channel is even talking about it. Even the UP Lokayukta decision to recover 1400 crores from Mayawati & Co. is blaring on all channels. Lately, NDTV is obsessed with Afghanistan. Understandable! WMD apart, someone is clearly walking the dog. I wonder who.
