Dangerous Deceptions - Part 2: Password: "AntiHindu"

The late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi once said: “We have 50 million Muslims in Europe. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe – without swords, without guns, without conquests. The 50 million Muslims of Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.” That was in 2006 when many parts of Britain, France, Netherlands and Germany were increasingly becoming dominated by Muslim riots, agitation and ghettos started forming. Gaddafi trusted the fact that Muslims multiply faster in Europe than any other community (they probably do in other places too). All these countries have now accepted that the idea of “multiculturalism” as they had imagined had failed. What Gaddafi said is also happening in India in a different way but only few people recognise it. There is this amazing fact that despite so many murderous invaders Hindus and Hinduism survived. The invasions in the past were with swords and guns but now these invasions are non-violent. We will see how in a bit.

First, now that Ashutosh, the ex-editor of IBN7, has joined the AAP party it should leave no one in doubt about his criminal mal-reporting and campaigning for AAP with his entire IBN7 team. It wasn’t very different with his English colleagues Rajdeep and Sagarika. The best part is that Rahul Kanwal tweets about declaring “political leanings” and look who responds. It’s laughable that Barkha talks about what a “political leaning” journalist should do. This is the same person who is actually accused of lobbying and acting as go-between for two parties in cabinet formation. On the bright side, Ashutosh has at least finally done the right thing by quitting media (for which he wasn’t fit anyway) and joined the AAP party. His language suits politics better than it does journalism but the other scumbags of TV and print who are discussing this are no different from him and every media house is infested with political agents. For over a decade the spinmeisters have been involved in an agenda quite similar to Gaddafi’s dream; a non-violent one.

In the normal course Commies are anti-religion. But in countries like Russia or China they didn’t have a problem of religious identities as India does. India is still known much for her Hindu history and identity. Most of these spin doctors in media, academics, politics and assorted activists have a problem with this. They want a complete destruction of the Hindu identity. Which is why they were deeply perturbed at the BJP coming to power in 1998 and 1999. It was the first time a party with Hindu identity was in power. Their campaign against Hindus and Hinduism didn’t start in 1999 but it escalated dramatically. How often have you heard the frequently touted nonsensical term “Idea of India” since then? This deception is meant to tell you that a Hindu India never existed which is why they regular redefine this “idea”. The Commies are therefore compelled in India to join hands with Christian, Islamic and other Marxist ideologists to ensure that this Hindu party does not raise its “ugly” head.

For a sample, no party other than the BJP and those allied to it celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas. Rahul Gandhi even mentioned in a speech that “Congress had supported BJP in the Kargil war”. You know, according to Congress and media, Kargil wasn’t India’s war but BJP’s war. Our soldiers didn’t die for India, they died for BJP? This is what they would have you believe. The anti-Hindu poison didn’t start in 1999 but Gujarat 2002 gave these crooks an opportunity to escalate their anti-Hindu campaign. The pioneer of that campaign was none other than this man:

Interesting, isn’t it? You search for Harsh Mander on Google and you get all the associated scumbags of the anti-Modi industry or Commies (I have only edited out the images of books by Mander from the above pic). What Gaddafi said Muslim population will do in Europe without guns; we have foreigners doing in India through NGOs to destroy Hinduism and Hindu identity from the country. How the anti-Hindus gently and slowly invest their poison has been written before by me but in this case I recommend you read “Patriots & Psychopaths” and “Children as leverage”. I have earlier referred to a fantastic dossier on these NGOS edited by Radha Rajan and Siddharth Kak. A few excerpts on the scumbag called Harsh Mander would be important to know.

On March 20, 2002, the Times of India published “Hindustan Hamara” that at once propelled its author Mr Harsh Mander, IAS into the very front rank of our country’s conscience-keepers. Mr Mander is the head of the Indian operations of the British NGO ActionAid that is among the world leaders of the child sponsorship industry, and he is one of The Big People “who fabricate the stories”. As it happens, Mander’s own fabrications in the past one year have unravelled. For one, his anguished conscience at the Gujarat violence and his moral outrage that led him to proclaim his resignation from the IAS are exposed to have been a deliberate self-serving lie. For another, the politico-communal agenda of the British NGO he furthers in India has been revealed. Weeks after these discoveries were made public in the national press, not one has been publicly repudiated by anyone, leading to a greater discovery of significant connections amongst Mander, the British NGO, the British government, Indian governments, Indian NGOs, and the IAS, so that now Mander/ActionAid have found it necessary to retain one of the world’s largest “brand building” firms, the British PR giant Ogilvy & Mather, to cover up the emperor’s nakedness with a huge advertising campaign.

Having claimed he resigned from the IAS over moral outrage at Gujarat 2002 this guy was actually earning money from Action Aid but also wanted his IAS pension to continue. Following this heroic performance he became a champion lecturer and writer. What does this Action Aid do? A lot of things! Just take a look at the summary of what it funds at a detailed story at DeshGujarat. Jenny-come-lately Kavita Krishnan is now a frequent flyer on TimesNow and other channels. Her CPI (ML) had this as part of their manifesto:

Read all the little nuggets on the link I’ve provided. That CPI (ML) whose darling Kavita wails on TV is also backed by funding from a dubious organisation called AID. Following Harsh Mander the number of NGO activists also known as the “Anti-Modi cottage industry” mushroomed into a vast army. The American and European “Gaddafis” see Narendra Modi as the “ugly head” of the Hindu identity they are working hard to destroy. Thus you had Teesta, Shabnam Hashmi and many other Commie NGOs that included Aruna Roy, Medha Patkar, Gautam Navlakha and, of course, the most recent Saint of Media, Arvind Kejriwal. People will remember that the original fight against corruption and black money was started by Baba Ramdev. A man in saffron? That is once again the “ugly head” of Hindu identity. Not done! So all media channels condemned BRD and ridiculed him and that concluded with a midnight crackdown on his Ramlila agitation by the Congress Centre. Makes sense? So we need someone who would be willing to be a superman corruption-fighter without the Hindu identity. You have Arvind Kejriwal (Anna Hazare was a just pawn in this project).

If it is of any interest to you, AK was a student of Harsh Mander when the latter was a teacher at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration. Dig deeper and you will realise how AK’s Parivartan, Kabir and related NGOs found the “connection” for funds, including from the Ford Foundation. This networking among wonderful people for the Western “Gaddafis” is important to get money. You can read a full dossier on Kejriwal’s funding at this blog site. It’s a well document piece. How about a bit more from the NGO book I keep referring to? Here you go:

One perfectly crafted weapon of containment is NGO activism. Western nations have funded overtly and covertly and awarded and rewarded with ‘peace’ and human rights awards individuals and organizations taking up the cause of anti-nationalism, ‘peace,’ anti-nuclear programme, anti-war marches, human rights, religious freedom, environment and a host of issues which can paralyze a government or at least inhibit it from acting as it ought to in the national interest. The activities of some of these individuals and organizations, whose USP is a pathological hatred of Hindutva, have been subjected to critical scrutiny to see if they are contrary to the national interest and the Hindu interest. Those that deserve to be placed under the scanner include Teesta Setalvad, Praful Bidwai and Achin Vanaik, Martin Macwan, Ram Puniyani, Arundhati Roy, Aruna Roy, Nirmala Deshpande, Angana Chatterji, Akhila Raman, Sandeep Pandey, Harsh Mander and others. The NGOs under scrutiny include the Navsarjan Trust, FOIL, SAHMAT, AID, ActionAid and ASHA.

A common denominator with all these bleeding heart 'peaceniks' is that they domestically advocate 'communal harmony' even in the face of Islamic jihad's relentless war against Hindus; promote 'peace' with Pakistan despite the fact that Pakistan has stubbornly refused to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure it has set up with state patronage. They continue to insist on a ‘peace’ dialogue with Pakistan despite the fact that every act of jihadi terror around the world has a Pakistani connection and despite the fact that there is neither peace nor harmony between Hindu victims and local Muslims in Jammu & Kashmir. These bleeding heart activists also advocate ‘peace’ in utter disregard of Pakistan's stated objectives vis a vis 'Hindu' India.

Is there any major name or organisation missing in the paragraphs above? Message: I don’t care what happens to my country as long as I earn a lot of money, pretend to be a social worker and claim to be working for the poor, the Dalits and the Tribals. It also doesn’t matter where my funds come from and what their agenda is. And I don’t even feel the need to talk about Ghulam Nabi Fai here. Is Yogendra Yadav missing? Don’t worry; look up this page for those names that you missed. There are many who join a political party or other organisations without fully understanding their objectives. There is a reason why many of the Anna movement have moved away from AAP and new ones have joined.

The entire book on NGOs is available for a free download in PDF form. I recommend read the whole dossier and spread the word. Those foolishly talking about AAP party as the latest saviour of masses need to educate themselves. Those still believing Modi was barred by the US for Gujarat 2002 are bigger morons soaked in ignorance. Nothing is happening by accident. These 2 parts of dangerous deceptions have so far laid the basis on which we can now move forward to understand the current media obsession and AAP. That will be in the next parts. In the meantime I leave you with a passage from the closing chapter of the NGO book. Mind you, it does not appear to be written by a Hindu:

Guidelines for procuring lucrative international awards: Start your career by unleashing a tirade against the Hindus and Hindu civilisation. In order to become successful as a mercenary, start an NGO and visit the USA and tell the Christian fundamentalists there what they want to hear: how evil and backward the unconverted, pagan Hindus are. Compare them with Nazis and then on the way back home, make a stopover in Pakistan and talk ‘peace’ and mention the ‘atrocities’ committed by Indian soldiers in Kashmir. Punch the Hindu on the nose whenever you can, and if you have accrued enough points, you’ll start winning international awards. When the NGO accounts are in a mess, close shop and start another NGO. Nehruvian secularists with Hindu names are preferred for the NGO industry. The password is ‘Anti-Hindu’.

The apex body or the mother of all these organisations simply happens to be Sonia Gandhi's NAC. Isn't it great that this body works with private individuals from public funds? You will find most of these names on the NAC. The password remains the same.

AAP's Loose Cannons

Delhi doesn’t have a govt for a while. While Presidential rule looks inevitable, the people of Delhi at least got to see the drama and theatre of Arvind Kejriwal and his AAP party members. To borrow from AAP’s new-found admirer, Rahul Gandhi, it has been “complete nonsense” for the last 3 days. One loose cannon after another from AAP shooting nonsense. India Today carried an article on December 14 on the grand plans of AK supposedly written by Shanti Bhushan (father of AAP member Prashant Bhushan) but later pulled it when ShantiB denied he had written it. Funny, isn’t it? A news outlet carries a full article and doesn’t know how it came through, who edited it, who cleared it and how it got uploaded. Surely, someone must have written it so who is India Today fooling? Here’s the article:

So everyone who suspected AK & Co. are really meant to do a whack job against BJP and Narenda Modi found the article confirm that suspicion. We will look at some of the contents in a bit. The self-righteous gasbags of AAP decided on another gimmick. Instead of showing courage to form a govt or deciding firmly to sit in the Opposition AK shot off 18 questions to the BJP and Congress. AK claimed both parties had assured them “unconditional’ support. That itself is a bogus claim. The Congress promised them “unconditional” love but the BJP has promised no such thing. The BJP only stated “issue based support” as they do in parliament with bills like FSB, Lokpal etc. These theatrics help to fool the useful idiots in the media who don’t even bother to check if the questions are really sensible or more tomfoolery. Let’s examine the validity or relevance of these questions to any cause or outcome of governance (a few samples; in blue):

1. The VIP culture should be stopped in Delhi. No MLA, minister or Delhi official will use a red beacon on their cars. Neither will they live in big bungalows nor take any special security.

The SC has recently ruled that all states should submit a list of VVIPs who can use the red beacon. In any case, how does red beacon become a hurdle for implementing the manifesto of AAP? The bungalows for residence are allotted by the govt itself. Now if AK wants, his AAP party members may choose not to live in such bungalows but how in hell is this measure going to result in any direct benefit to citizens? The very nature of the question is nonsensical to say the least.

3. People will take decision directly in 'mohalla sabhas’… in every locality and colony.

Why should anyone agree to this stupidity? If AAP wants to make decisions based on these “sabhas” there is nothing to stop them. But one hopes these people don’t forget legislation still has to be done in the Assembly and not in Mohallas. So it’s for AAP to convince the house on any legislation being worthy on merits. Why should anyone agree to such a stupid demand? Even if the BJP stupidly supported this, does it have any legal validity? No, but this is another way to fool people into believing something that is frivolous.

6. Electricity meters should be checked. 7. There is 220 litres of water available for every person daily. Where is it?..

Why would anyone have a problem with this either? You want to check meters go ahead and check. You want to audit electricity companies, go ahead and do it. You want to find out where 220 litres water per individuals are hidden? What stops you from searching yourself if you were to form the govt? The bigger problem is not 220, AK & Co. have promised 700 litres per family they should be busy searching for 700.

11. It wants to give infrastructural facilities like roads, electricity, water and basic facilities to the ordinary trader.

This is laughable. I am sure both BJP and Congress will object to such a stupid demand because both object to good roads and facilities to ordinary traders. Is that what the AAP jokers want everyone to believe? Or is that if AAP decides to build good roads, provide electricity and water BJP is going to sit on a dharna to protest?

That is how the 18 stupid questions go. Check all of them. None of them really have any point of conflict which any political party would really object to; except maybe a stray couple. At least not in principle and some of them cannot be agreed to without the finer details. So what is the childish drama all about? The 2nd question in the list of 18 is quite interestingly on the Jan Lokpal Bill. 2. Passing of the Janlokpal Bill, the same version for which Anna Hazare held fasts. This is another perversion and diversionary nonsense. Since Anna is not even associated with AAP how is Anna’s JLP relevant to these people? But fine, you demand what you want. So when the Congress and BJP have agreed to pass a JLP Bill that even Anna has welcomed, the AAP joker Kumar Vishwas calls those supporting it “gaddaars” (traitors). His comments were aired throughout Sunday by Timesnow. So now he’s implying Anna is a gaddaar too and that unless Arvind Kejriwal says yes it remains a Jokepal, is it?

No one can make a JLP except this bunch of street goons who call everyone else corrupt, murderer, rapist and any name they choose. AK and his team have now started to even ridicule Anna claiming he may not have read the final draft of the bill or is being misled. I’m sorry! Anna is not being misled now; he was being misled in 2011 when the fasting started. Now AK says fasting does not achieve anything. AK’s first choice to lead the IAC movement wasn’t Anna at all. Nora Chopra who writes a ‘Buzz’ column in the Sunday Guardian noted on December 28, 2011 that AK first tried NR Narayanamurthy and APJ Abdul Kalam who declined. Murthy threw him some loose change as donation and sent him on his way. (The Sunday Guardian pic was carried on this blog earlier too but their archive currently seems unavailable).

The final choice was Anna who agreed to fast unto death for this bill. And now AK grandly states Anna is being misled. Anna knows who was misled and so do people. In music parlance they call the AK act a “one-hit” wonder. Once the JLP bill is settled these guys won’t have much to scream about having proved that they simply don’t have any idea of running a govt or at least don’t wish to. Anna finally stated on Sunday, December 15 “I am not concerned with what AAP has to say, AK should do what he wants. Truth will be in front of people, I don’t want to say anything about him” (quoted on Headlines Today). I wouldn’t be wrong in saying AK fooled Anna in the past and now he is fooling all the people in Delhi and other places. It is easier to keep fooling people than to tell them they were fooled. I guess some brilliant mind did say that long before we learned.

So that brings us back to the aborted article that appeared in India Today (the magazine refers to this stupidity as an “ace”). Lately, people on Twitter know how criminal these media houses are and can knock off articles any time when it is inconvenient. People now keep copies and pics. If you missed the article you can read it here. To me, it doesn’t matter who wrote it. It does matter what is written and if that reflects any credible analysis. It bears out not only what has been written on this site before but many observers have noted. Essentially, AK is doing a whack job against BJP and Modi and this has been so since the day he called Modi “corrupt” in July 2012. Since that day I had suspected this agitator is nothing more than a proxy for some bigger forces. Let’s read a bit (excerpts in blue):

Kejriwal and his party are the product of 'Anna' Hazare's movement, which erupted against the Congress's colossal corruption and patronage to corruption. Later on, however, the movement, which was essentially against the misdeeds of Manmohan Singh's government, took a different turn and was made to look as if it were against the BJP too on purpose, by some vested interests, with the active support of Arvind Kejriwal. Once it was done, it confused the people and the movement, which started with a bang, ended up slowly with a whimper…”. This is what I tweeted too. The govt at the Centre was Congress, the Delhi State govt was Congress. So what motivated AK & Co. to constantly make BJP the bigger villain in the corruption issue? That the man even went on to call Modi “corrupt” was certainly to score brownie points with his “bosses” and you can figure who they are.

So Kejriwal defied Anna Hazare and formed a political outfit by the name of AAP, giving it a colour of an anti-corruption unit against both the national parties, instead of just opposed to the Congress against whom the movement was initiated in the first place. He intentionally and mischievously raised the bogey of Gadkari's corruption and bracketed him with the Congress party's known corrupt politicians to show his 'secular' credentials. The BJP's name was sullied to please a particular community. Otherwise the BJP was nowhere near power so there was no question of them having been involved in corruption”. The BJP was accused of some corruption which was mostly a media campaign but still is nowhere close to the Himalayan corruption of Congress which actually started Anna’s movement. The image, which has appeared before on this blog, is very telling. All the black sheep are accusing a giant that is a threat as the more corrupt one because a small part of its skin is black. I don’t think anyone is missing the game being played out by AK & Co. especially when they have announced they are now going to contest all the LS seats in Gujarat. Nothing stops them contesting any elections but the objective of targeting BJP and Modi in particular is not a secret anymore. You have a fair idea of who the hit-job is for.

People are very observant now. The media is a bunch of crooks that will not place statements and acts in context or remind politicians of their past stances. People also see through masks that people wear. The mother of all facts is that nobody expected AAP to win 28 seats, not even AK and his current mentor Yogendra Yadav. The stupid 18 questions are meant to cover up for their failures. People latch on to the most important promises made by political parties. In AAP’s case there are 2 important promises: 1) 50% cut in electricity charges and 2) 700 litres of water per household every day. Clearly, it seems AK & Co. have no idea of how they can deliver on this. If they had known they would come this close to forming a govt they wouldn’t have made these undeliverable promises. That is what is hurting them. Even the Lokpal bill doesn’t bother ordinary people that much but the lure of 50% cut in electricity bills and good supply of water does. This is where AAP failed. AK failed the people, he failed Anna and the only one he is serving now is the Congress party’s agenda. These two pics tell a story:

RahulG showed a lot of arrogance in barging into a presser screaming “complete nonsense to be torn and thrown away” about an ordinance. At other places he rolled up his sleeves and even lied, tied Muslim youth to ISI. All that was in vain! People have seen Congress corruption and misrule. The new friend Congress now has is AK and his AAP in principle and in ideology. That’s the reason RahulG sees he can learn from them. But there is something Arun Jaitley rightly points out in his latest blog “Politics and arrogance’ (when RahulG and 3 sidekicks announced the Lokpal bill to be passed): “Yesterday, both the language, approach and the body language was different.  After electoral wrap on the knuckles, the mighty had fallen.  The ‘game changer’ had been abandoned.  They were now looking for a conciliatory approach”. In his minor victory AK and all his loose cannons have become like the earlier RahulG, arrogant and plenty of loose talk. Maybe they have something to learn from the “new, improved” RahulG. People don’t suffer loose cannons and they are quite unforgiving of bogus promises.

Walking The Dog

The theory that dogs resemble their masters or vice-versa has been around for a long time. I have no idea why. It’s possible that people look around for pet dogs that look like them but that again is a theory. Maybe stray dogs somehow find their way to houses of people resembling them but that again is a theory. Whatever the reason, there seems to be some valid logic for such theories. Look at these pics and I think you’ll find it hard to deny that there is some secret or divine resemblance dogs have to their masters:
No matter how far you drive a dog away it has this uncanny but natural ability to find its way back to its master. Is the dog biased? Sure it is! It is biased beyond reason and will remain faithful no matter what. It does not tolerate any reason, question or logic against its master; which is why it’s called a man’s best friend. (Is it sexist to say just ‘man’ anymore? Should I say a person’s best friend?)

There has always been a question on many people’s minds: “Are our judges really unbiased”? The answer is a simple but emphatic “No”. Judges are as human as you and I and have their biases, opinions and preferences on almost all issues that come to their courts. In an unusual incident a former judge, Justice SM Soni, even wrote to the SC to keep Justice Aftab Alam away from Gujarat related cases due to his “communal mindset”. If you have heard the frequent statements by Justice Katju it won’t be hard to see that he has very strong views on almost every issue that surrounds us. The reason why judges are able to rise above their biases is because they are trained long years to interpret the letter and spirit of the law and go by facts and evidence. In higher courts it is rare to find a single judge deciding a case. It’s usually a bench of two or even more judges. Also, for their judgements they are accountable to the Law, the Constitution and their conscience and no other master. Beyond that, there is also a system of appeals that includes seeking a review of an SC judgement and can go right up to the President. What are our options with the media?

So when the eternal journalistic-bimbo announced her FTN show “Is Narendra Modi PM material?” you naturally wonder if she is even fit to discuss the topic given her hatred and bias. No, don’t take my word for it. Look at her tweet and look at the response she got from noted journalist Swapan Dasgupta (SD). Now I have to tell you, I have rarely seen SD being so blunt about anything. He is usually direct but with a lot of subtlety but in his tweet he directly charges the Social Genius not with bias but with “hatred” of Modi. Just a few weeks back Modi had sarcastically asked Rajdeep Sardesai, the ‘Numero Uno political analyst’ according to the Social Genius, if the people had assigned the task of finding a PM to the media. What SD asks is a very pertinent question. Many of our media celebs have made their fortunes not based on their bias but based on their “hatred” for Modi. In doing so, some have been as faithful as dogs are to their masters. Naturally, some even speak and bark like their masters do. They have come to resemble them in their discourses.

I strongly recommend that you read all the responses to that tweet of Swapan Dasgupta. Some are quite interesting and I reproduce a few:

One asks: @Swapan55 that just Paradoxically displays ur love for Modi!!! @sagarikaghose #FreedomofSpeech anyone?

This guy probably doesn’t realise the difference between being a biased journalist or commentator and being an anchor. He forgets that the anchor is supposed to be a moderator and not let her own opinions, bias and hatred dictate the course of the debate. SD’s sympathies for BJP or Modi are not a big secret. He does not pretend to be an “independent observer” like Sagarika or Rajdeep. More importantly, SD doesn’t allow his bias to condone lies, untruths and outright misdeeds by the BJP. The tweeter even overlooks the fact that SD is being invited for the very reason of his sympathies for Modi. SD further tweets that owing to her hatred of Modi, Sagarika should be a panellist and not the moderator. That would have been fairer.

Here’s another one from a regular moron on Twitter: @swapan55 Ouch. Clearly @sagarikaghose didnt invite you on the panel :p

Haha! This moron tends to speak before actual events. Little did he realise that when the show actually took place SD would indeed be on the panel. Perhaps it didn’t even occur to him that SD may have tweeted for the precise reason that he knew he was on that panel. Of course, ‘scoop and break’ specialist of CNN-IBN wasn’t to be left behind so he tweeted thus:

Bhupendra Chaube: @swapan55 ha ha, where is that anchor swapan?

That’s probably a dig Chaubeji wanted to take at someone. We know that lately Chaubeji is at the receiving end of some internal politics at his channel’s office and his bosses seem to be running a cheeky rivalry between him and Pallavi Ghosh in public through their tweets. All in good fun, one hopes. There are some other silly tweets like one asking if SD is being “paid” by Modi which don’t really warrant any comment.

As for the debate itself, there was Modi sympathiser Dasgupta, Modi critic Yogendra Yadav and Modi-haters Javed Anand and Sagarika Ghose. Yogendra Yadav has made a gentle shift from a “jholawalla” to politician recently. Javed Anand, husband of the washing machine of justice Teesta Setalvad, is as much a Modi-hater as Sagarika herself. So it’s 3 against 1 so you can imagine how the dice is loaded, loaded.

So let’s ask the same question we asked about judges. Can we expect media celebs to rise above their biases? Absolutely not! Especially not when it borders on hatred as has been over the years. Sagarika, Rajdeep, Barkha, Vir Sanghvi, Vinod Mehta, Vinod Sharma are not driven by bias. They follow a political agenda set by their masters. In the absence of independent moderators these media celebs automatically become the voices and barks of their political masters. By pitting 3 against 1 CNN-IBN has already skewed the time-share that would be available to each participant in the debate. This is the simple reason that the US presidential debates now have a clock running on the screen for viewers to see if both candidates are getting a fair timeshare.

Even in pointing out non-threatening PMs in the coalition era the SocialGenius reels off names to compare what she calls a “polarising” candidate in Modi: MMS, Narasimha Rao, IK Gujral, Deve Gowda. Oops.. the most assertive and yet a non-threatening PM in the recent past would have to be Atal Behari Vajpayee. Reminder: No matter how far you drive a dog away it has this uncanny but natural ability to find its way back to its master. It’s not only unconscious it is second-nature for dogs. As for threatening, who exactly does Modi really threaten? India? The idea of India? (As the social scientologist kept mentioning), the minorities, the media? Looks like Modi threatens the very Macaulay Putras and Putris who have so far lived a life of luxury and entitlement. He threatens the very masters of this class who hate anything that is likely to challenge the status quo.

After years of an insipid, lack-lustre, puppet PM like MMS it is only natural that many would like to see an assertive and decisive PM. Modi need not be the only candidate who fits that bill but there isn’t anyone else who's standing up yet. It wouldn’t be unfair to say that the Cong-UPA under MMS (or Sonia if you like) has figuratively burned down mission-India and many dreams and houses. As for the dogs, even if their masters literally burn down the mission and the house, I leave it to you to wonder who they will still follow. Seems their masters walk them well.
