CNN-IBN, IBN7 - Criminally Communal Channels

There is something about our media celebs that makes them hate anything remotely connected with Hinduism or the Hindu religion. Any symbol related to Hinduism or their spiritual leaders or Gurus is an insult to the intelligence of these elites. Of the many media outlets that frequently ridicule Hinduism, CNN-IBN and its sidekick IBN7 are channels that are undisputed leaders. Not so long ago CNN-IBN’s Sagarika Ghose ran a fraudulent live show about SriSri Ravi Shankar and his campaign against corruption. It was a case enough to ‘Sack Sagarika’. But just as in politics, nepotism prevails in the media too and she continues merrily on the channel, frequently spouting venom against Hindus, subtly on TV or more brazenly on Twitter. When the damage is done and she faces a backlash her typical response is to play victim. Here are some recent transactions by CNN-IBN’s Managing Director, Rajdeep Sardesai:

The tweet on the left was in response to many demanding coverage of the anniversary of Emergency on June 25, 2012. Now, what exactly does Emergency have to do with Babri? But unless a historic event of significance is not equated with some supposed ant-Hindu news Rajdeep’s equation is not complete. In reality, Emergency is a shame on the nation, destruction of democracy and is comparable with the tin-pot dictators of Pakistan, perhaps with Saddam Hussain, Pinochet or Idi Amin. Emergency was not an offence against any particular community. All communities paid a price. In contrast the Babri incident is one of many communal incidents in the country. If history is perspective, then Babri should be compared to Somnath and not to the Emergency. But such is the communal agenda of CNN-IBN.

On June 25 #Emergency75 trended all day on Twitter. So Rajdeep wants to know if tweeters will trend #Babri92 on December 6^.  While he actually doesn’t suggest it, it’s almost as if Babri happened as revenge for Emergency. It’s alarming that those who pass off as editors in media outlets cannot distinguish between a national tragedy and a communal incident. The number of people killed or permanently disabled during Emergency will neither be known nor be ever revealed because our current media would prefer another Emergency. They would like a censorship of all voices in the social media and would delight in peddling only the voice of the Congress and their ruling allies. The Justice Shah Commission report on the Emergency was buried and lost till recently a writer (Era Sezhiyan) put the pieces together in a book.

Here’s another tweet from the same evening. Once again Rajdeep drags Babri and Gujarat 2002 to balance Emergency and the 1984 “Riots”. Mind you, he and others in the media continue to refer to 1984 as “riots” and Gujarat 2002 as “pogrom”. Most will disagree with 1984 being termed “riots”. That was a systematic killing of ONLY Sikhs in retaliation. It wasn’t a conflict in which both Sikhs and others were killing each other. Only Sikhs were being killed by Congress cadres. Still, what’s the connection? Unless the BJP’s so-called sins are called into the debate it is unfair to talk about Emergency. All the events Rajdeep talks about happened much after Emergency and aren’t connected in anyway. This is the media’s idea of “balanced” crap!

In another tweet Rajdeep laments being called a “pseudo-secular”. Why? Because he did a programme on 1984 on its 25^th Anniversary and about Gujarat/Godhra on its 10^th Anniversary. This is where Rajdeep comes across and establishes himself as an outright LIAR. And I do call him a LIAR. For long the media had buried 1984. It is only when the media was churning out lies about Gujarat 2002 that people wondered why a similar campaign wasn’t there for 1984. What the liar Rajdeep forgets is that from the day Gujarat riots started he, in whichever channel he was, has carried out a relentless campaign almost every day against the perpetrators and particularly Narendra Modi.The anti-Gujarat shows weren't on anniversaries - those were every week, every month, every year and still continue. Such were the extent of lies that media even reported as if February 2002 had 30 days and not 28. The stories are all in the open now and probably there is as much guilt that Rajdeep feels as other media crooks for stories about Gujarat.

If Narendra Modi were a Muslim I seriously doubt any of these channels would have mentioned Gujarat beyond 2002 or 2003. If Narendra Modi were a Congressman then Gujarat2002 would have been buried by the media as they did 1984. If Narendra Modi were a Congressman he would have been awarded a Bharat Ratna, streets would be named after him, airports named after him, govt schemes would be named after him. And would you see the media protesting? Make a wild guess! This is the communal nature of Rajdeep, Sagarika and all other bimbos in our mainstream media. Hate Hindus, magnify any Hindu crime and suppress the crimes of their paymasters, particularly Congress. Of course, when challenged about being anti-Hindu Rajdeep will claim he is a proud Hindu! Why? Because he eats beef! That’s his measure.

Now, while there have been frequent accusations of CNN-IBN and IBN7 being anti-Hindu and communal here is proof if you ever needed it. The latest catch in the 26/11 is someone called Abu Jindal. Umm…  no one seems sure about his real name! He is also called Abu Jundal, Abu Hamza and new names might crop up soon. On every channel and newspaper there is only one picture of his – the one with the same expression and the same check-shirt. Wait, all except IBN7. An observant tweeter (@AwakeIndian) sent me this TV grab from the channel. 

Out of nowhere you have Abu Whatever seen wearing a Saffron Kurta. IBN7 dressed him up him in ‘Saffron’ and that colour is symbolic with Hindus. The mischief behind altering a commonly circulated image is not lost on people. Of course, the journalistic-bimbo would disagree and suggest that isn’t Saffron but ‘Orange’. AwakeIndian also points to the saffron shirt the anchor is wearing but I wouldn’t read much into that. What exactly is the motive behind photo-shopping the image of a suspected terrorist? 

This can be a good case for a criminal act under section 153A of the IPC – Creating communal disharmony, insulting the religious sentiments of a community and so on. The managing editor of IBN7, Ashutosh, is also often accused of his anti-Hindu stance. Such acts only confirm the agenda of the CNN-IBN group as a whole. So Rajdeep, Sagarika and Ashutosh and their team can flush their ‘secular’ credentials down the drain and stop any pretensions. Their tweets, their images, their misguided sense of ‘balance’ have been frequently exposed. In the case of SriSri, Sagarika claimed it was a “bug” and a genuine “mistake”. Nobody buys that anymore. As with that episode I have to repeat: It’s neither an error nor a mistake, it’s just wilful deception. The sly, subtle and deceptive anti-Hindu campaign will continue on their channels.

Manish Tiwari Establishes ‘The Supreme Court Of Perception’

On Friday (March 4) there were two events of significance concerning the CBI. First, the Supreme Court issued notices to L.K. Advani and others on the Babri case on an appeal by the CBI. Earlier, a High Court had quashed further proceedings against Advani & Co. on this case. The second, a Delhi Court accepted the CBI’s appeal for closure of the Bofors investigation.

Predictably, Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari was invited on CNN-IBN to comment on the SC notice to Advani. I assume Tiwari believes the SC too may throw out the CBI appeal. So instead of commenting on the notice Tiwari makes a sweeping judgement on Advani and others. His repeated statement to CNN-IBN’s Bhupen Choubey was that regardless of the outcome of the appeal in the SC it was established in the eyes of the people that ‘Advani and others, the BJP, the VHP, the RSS and the Sangh Parivar’ were responsible for the Babri masjid incident. And his statement effectively meant that in ‘public perception’ the people and groups involved were already ‘guilty’. And like lame ducks, both Choubey and the other anchor on CNN-IBN allowed  Tiwari to continue with his senseless rant.

Manish Tiwari - Chief Justice: 'Supreme Court of Perception'

Manish Tiwari is supposedly a lawyer. I have no idea since when lawyers started using ‘perception’ as strong evidence in legal issues. Never mind! I agree that perception does influence thoughts and actions of people but I doubt courts are influenced by perceptions. Perhaps they do in ‘The Supreme Court of Perception’ conveniently established by Manish Tiwari, with himself as its Chief Justice. So, I have some more cases for Mr. Manish Tiwari.

In the second case where a Delhi Court has accepted closure of the Bofors case are Rajiv Gandhi, Quatrochi and others now ‘perceived’ to be ‘not-guilty’? The media should take that to the Court of Manish Tiwari and it would be interesting to hear his answers.

Again, Advani recently apologised to Sonia Gandhi on Swiss bank accounts. Hmmm, that again should be taken to Manish Tiwari’s court of perception. Do people really believe that Sonia Gandhi or family does not have Swiss accounts? On Friday, on the black money case the petitioner once again repeated the charge of the Gandhi family holding illegitimate Swiss bank accounts and ill-gotten wealth. That includes a 2 Bn dollar pay off by the KGB. What does Manish Tiwari’s court of perception have to say about that? An Allahabad court has recently issued notice to Rahul Gandhi in a petition of ‘illegal detention’ of a woman named Sukanya and her family. What’s the perception Mr. Tiwari? In the same related incident there are allegations of rape against Rahul Gandhi floating for over 4 years on the net. What’s the perception, Mr. Tiwari?

Who killed Sanjay Gandhi? Why was the inquiry commission closed? Any answers from the court of perception? How did politicians like Madhavrao Scindia, Rajesh Pilot and YSR die in mysterious accidents? Should we take these cases to the courts of perception?  I am quite certain the loud and foul-mouthed Tiwari will certainly have answers to all of these. The case of Hassan Ali, accused to have black money to the tune of 9Bn dollars in Swiss bank was not being pursued vigorously by the UPA. This till the Supreme Court had to lash out asking “what the hell is going on..”. And the media suddenly reveals political connections of Hassan Ali. What’s the perception, Mr. Tiwari?

The media frequently calls politicians and allows them to make ‘hit and run’ statements without any follow up questions. If perceptions were votes Mr. Tiwari, you would be selling vegetables at Crawford Market.

Ayodhya Verdict: Why the mainstream Indian Media cannot digest it.

Since the moment the Ayodhya verdict was delivered on September 30, 2010 our “secular” and largely communist mainstream media have celebrated new slogans. Times Now came up with “India First” and the commentators and the rest came up with “India has moved on” (since 1992). Really?

Unable to digest the fact that the Allahabad High Court verdict was largely in favour of the Hindus the media could do nothing but somehow colour their disappointment with statements like “India has moved on”. This is meant to mean that India has moved on since December 1992 and nobody really cared that much about the Ram temple or the Babri masjid.  To back this logic they quoted figures like much of the youth today was born after 1992 and weren’t really bothered. Then they had grim-faced communists like Sitaram Yechuri stating the same.  To further substantiate this argument they quoted stock market figures that were booming post 1992, increase in the number of billionaires in India post 1992 and, of course, interviewing some stray youngsters who said they don’t mind whether its a mandir or a mosque or whatever.

They keep talking about “secularism” and “constitution” as if these are divine gifts. None of the people in the media appear to have the balls to call the facts. And the first fact is Islam neither recognises any constitution nor any kind of secularism.  It was their own counsel  Mr.Jilani who is reported to have stated that “it is unislamic to surrender a mosque” So no matter what the nature of our constitution it will be Islam that drives their basic campaign. And if that isn’t enough here is what the Imam Bukhari stated (while recommending peace and calm) : "We are also not willing to give an inch to anyone." So even if the supreme court handles the case and comes to the same decision what will the Imam have to say?

No, we have not moved on.  Because there are youngsters in majority today or because we are economically doing better does not mean we have moved on from certain historical injustices and crimes. Would the same media, which was suddenly baying for the blood of Warren Andersen, now say that the Bhopal Gas tragedy happened two decades ago, India has moved on? 3000 Sikhs murdered in November 1984 by Congress goons. I suppose India has moved on! Lets get busy with our malls and BPOs! It is shameful how these so called journalists who are actually communists twist the truth. Not one of them even mournfully mentioned that if an issue that had roots in 1528 was alive today how is it that we have moved on? None of the actors in the current scenario even existed at that time, not even maybe their forefathers and yet the issue is alive. So what makes these media crooks state that India has moved on and doesn’t care anymore about these issues?

One sarcastic comment on twitter really sums it up:

jhunjhunwala : Watching this Ayodhya Verdict on TV is a matter of deciding who you hate less. Barkha Dutt, Rajdeep Sardesai or Arnab Goswami.

To the credit of the media though they did manage to cut out the drama that accompanied the 26/11 reporting. So I would say some lessons have been learnt.  But the act of subverting the truth continues. And for all the reference to our Constitution, that most abused piece of paper, do not be surprised if the Congress and the Communists join hands to subvert it again to favour muslims in some way or the other even after the supreme court may deliver a verdict.  (Remember the Shah Bano case? Anyone?)  The Congress has mauled the constitution with over 100 amendments in 60 years.  In contrast the over-200 years old US Constitution has undergone just 27 amendments.  That should show up how easily our constitution can be manipulated to favour one particular community.

Here is my message to the media and their communist loudmouths: "NO! A COUNTRY DOES NOT MOVE ON FROM HISTORICAL INJUSTICES AND CRIMES. They stay with a nation’s conscience till they are resolved . So grow up and face the truth!"

In living history there is the case of Somnath temple. One destroyed and looted by Islamic invaders many times over.  Yet, it has now come to stand. Did we move on? Did we forget? The Hindus are not seeking criminal punishment for any muslim. They are simply seeking their faith to be honoured by restoring a few significant places of worship that were destroyed and looted. I repeat, A FEW, not all that were destroyed. Does that mean zealots should destroy mosques? Not at all. But if the government does not respond to the sentiments of a community then the community has every right to revolt.  The government had every opportunity to do so for eons. They did not. The reason why Americans have a right to carry weapons/arms is not just to protect themselves from their enemies or intruders. It is also to protect themselves from their own government.The Hindus have increasingly realised that they have to protect themselves from their own governments. They are not playing victims. But Hindus would be silly not to see the possibility of the foolishness of centuries ago when their country and culture was savaged by invaders being repeated in other forms by the communists and the congress and the media. Today the external threat is far less than that of their own government. And of course, their own media. Therefore, if moving on means forgetting and ignoring the past, then the morons in the media are the ones who look like sorry fools, not the youngsters or billionaires in this country.

There is one aspect where India has indeed moved on. And that is the Hindus. They are not being  defensive, apologetic and subservient with regard to their faith as well as political standing. Not anymore. This is what disturbs the media and their communist partners.

If at all, the media and Islamists themselves must sit up and introspect why so many laws are being passed in Europe against various Islamic practices. Asking 18-year olds if they care about Babri or Ram is the most foolish exercise the media conducts.  Ask them when they are older and have understood the true context of history. You will then realise that there are certain issues from which you neither move on nor walk away, till they are resolved.
