Kashmir - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Blood boils. The heart seethes with rage. Time and again after a terrorist attack, the politicians too rage, make angry statements and then things return to the same. There is no step-by-step series of actions that shows we are combatting terrorism on multiple fronts. The latest terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy of 70 odd vehicles carrying 2500 Jawans was attacked by suicide bomber. The bomb is reported to be an IED of 300 kgs. That is a very powerful load of bomb enough to bring down a medium sized building. The worst terrorist attack on our forces since 2004. Full details of the attack are yet to emerge at the time of writing this. 40 Jawans are reported killed and the toll may mount. The injured are many and some very badly. The visuals are horrific, with bodies, body parts and vehicle parts strewn all over. We must not forget; our anger must not cease:

 

Most of us are thirsty and baying for revenge and retaliation. But cold, calm thinking should point to us that this is not of top priority. Revenge and retaliation must be DISPROPORTIONATE on the higher side to the proportion of the crime inflicted on us. Our CRPF Jawans were not killed in combat action, they were killed while being transported to action zones. Normally, during such transportation, other traffic is controlled and not allowed nearby. How the terrorists’ vehicle got through enough to ram into one of the CRPF buses and kill our soldiers is something inexplicable. Investigations might reveal this later.

There cannot be peace in Kashmir with the same methods. There cannot be any dialogue with anyone anymore. There cannot be any sympathy for stone-pelters being “kids” as they are being described by some politicians. Stone-pelters are the conduits for terrorists. The killers of CRPF Jawans couldn’t have gotten through without local support. I have written in “Broken Windows” – If you tolerate eve-teasers in Delhi, you are opening the windows to rapists and killers. Same applies to stone-pelters. They are the eve-teasers who will invariably break the windows for terrorists. And here is what I wrote after the Uri attack in 2016:

All of this would have to be repeated and more needs to be done. Despite Uri and then the surgical strike, PM Modi has somehow been unwilling to act on his own identification of the “Terror ecosystem” which he had identified after I wrote the post “Terror support Services”. There are enough internal enemies that support Paki terrorists in Delhi and other places in India:

Not one single terror-support service provider has been taken to task or even named and shamed by the GOI. After breaking with the PDP, the GOI again made the same stupid mistake of sending another “Interlocutor” to hold dialogues with various “Stakeholders” in Kashmir. Let’s get this one thing clear – There is ONLY ONE stakeholder in Kashmir and that is India. Everyone else should be treated as an enemy opposed to peace in Kashmir. The same stupid condemnation calling terrorists “Cowards”. It’s disgusting – Terrorists are not the cowards anymore. Cowards are those refuse to take “Contagion” level action against them. And we are TIRED of hearing this coward stuff:

The GOI has been doing the same thing over and over again hoping that somehow by magic things will normalise in Kashmir. IT WILL NOT. The governor they appointed is even worse. He makes stupid statements like “we should fight terrorism and not the terrorists”. What in hell is that supposed to mean? That is like saying we shouldn’t fight the Nazis but the Blitzkrieg. If we have to fight terrorism, the enemy has to be clear. And the enemy is not those various groups of terrorists alone – the enemy is their Fountainhead Pakistan. Unless this acceptance happens, you cannot win any stupid war against terrorism. Call it like it is. It is “Islamic terrorism”, it is inspired by religion with the larger purpose of an Islamic Caliphate. You will just insanely repeat and rinse the same mistakes over and over again:

 

What all needs to be done is already listed by me in the first pic in this post under the Uri post of 2016. Not just me, many patriots who are boiling over have written these many times. Modi wants the world to declare Pak a terrorist state but ModiSarkar will not support proposals to this effect in Parliament. In addition to what is recommended in that pic, the following must be undertaken IMMEDIATELY:

1). Recall our envoy from Pakistan and expel the Pak High Commissioner from India.

2) Abolish Article 370 IMMEDIATELY. It does not need Parliament approval and any opposition to it will not only reveal the traitors but can be dealt with later through the legal systems.

3) Stop all trade and any other exchanges with Pak and send back all Pakis back from India and recall all Indians from Pak.

4) Pass an ordinance that any sympathy for any convicted terrorist, any support for separation of Kashmir will be a punishable offence. This has to be a new ordinance and not some worn out old law.

5) Fly the national flag at Lal Chow in Srinagar and every govt office in Kashmir. Pass an ordinance that punishes flying of any Pak or ISIS or any other enemy flag in Kashmir.

6) Impose Martial Law in Kashmir region. Let the army take full control and go through the whole region with a fine-tooth comb.

7) Ban assembly of 4 or more people till further orders and issue “Shoot at sight” orders for violations. No more mercy, no more sympathy for breaking laws.

8) Get rid of all media & non-essential NGOs from the region. Shut down all internet and mobile services. Allow only local calls through landlines and any STD/ISD call should be routed only through the telephone exchange. Monitor all such STD/ISD calls and record the criminal ones for prosecution.

9) Arrest all Separatists without exceptions, whether in Kashmir or elsewhere, and lock them up in Jails outside Kashmir. No more freedom to dissent on Kashmir anymore.

10) Do not allow any politician or NGO into Kashmir region without GOI authorisation. There are many flame-stokers who will want to keep the region inflamed.

I would not like to use this situation of grief and anger to find faults with the PM or anyone in the govt. If there is any one whose heart is filled with as much anger as all patriots, it has to be PM Narendra Modi. We should all stand by him but at the same time the PM should not demure and should not hesitate to take strong measures. Revenge and retaliation can come later. We Indians are not that blood-thirsty like Islamic terrorists. A war for justice can come later when the time is right. But ENOUGH IS ENOUGH in Kashmir – the same old worn out actions cannot be accepted anymore. Time for different strategies and new tactics. Shock and surprise the enemy with the length we will go to make them rot in hell.
