Post LS2019

Tomorrow, August 15, PM Narendra Modi will make his last I-Day speech in his current term. He is probably the most enviable PM in the world right now. The reasons are many but the main reason is that he simply doesn’t have much political opposition to combat. At one extreme there is a clown like Rahul Gandhi and at the other end there is an uncouth, foul-mouthed “extremist” moron like Mamata. She even threatens “civil war” over the NRC issue of Assam. One hopes the NRC is carried out in all states in India. Between these two extremes it is not hard for people to choose PM Modi again to lead the country in 2019.

A political scientist and extraordinary “default-24 genius” like Nidhi Razdan might use statistics and complex graphs to evaluate the performance of ModiSarkar but ordinary people don’t vote by such analysis. They vote by their gut. They can feel good or bad in their gut and their bones. They aren’t crooks like Rajdeep Sardesai or Shekhar Gupta constantly pitting caste against caste or community against community to earn another buck. Life is tough for the common-folk as much as it is less complex. It’s with the same gut-rating that I would assign ModiSarkar’s performance in this term so far, a B+.

The Opposition is struggling to find an alternative dialogue to combat PM Modi. In absence of any real “exploitable” issue, they hurl abuses at him, try to ridicule him or at worst hurly silly corruption charges. And if you wanted any proof of their stupidity, the Congress scam-rag National Herald is ever ready to provide it:

That is the most convincing admission from Congress clowns that Bofors was indeed a scam and the ones that profited from it are the Chinese Gandhis. RajivG was corrupt much before he entered politics and was reportedly the “middleman” in aircraft purchases as far back as in the 1970s. There’s another light-hearted thing about these two brands that failed marketers of Congress don’t seem to learn. Bofors is a catchy brand-name that rolls well on everyone’s tongue; even a villager learned to pronounce it and identify it. On the other hand, Rafale is not a catchy name so it doesn’t seem to stick well, even if the allegations are bogus. These things matter in perceptions too.

Rajiv and Sonia are too soaked in corruption to be able to get rid of that tag. Lately, their two-bit man-child has been embroiled in concealing income worth 154 crores and the fact of being a director in “Young India” (the scam-mother of scam-child NatHerald).  In contrast, PM Modi is deeply soaked in the reputation of being uncorrupt. The positioning in the minds of voters cannot be altered. Duffers of Congress and other Sickulars don’t learn, that painting Modi as corrupt will not make a credible argument with anyone. And who are the ones making these allegations? The veritable corrupt Mafia of Indian politics:

Chinese Gandhis apart, which one should I pick for a corruption story? Tejaswi Yadav? Sharad Pawar? Mayawati? Omar Abdullah? You would be spoilt for riches in the choices. The last one, Omar the Kashmiri Pappu, now has his dad charge-sheeted in a scam relating to the JK Cricket Association. If you give these scumbags the sewer, they will find a way to even scam from there. Such is their propensity and craving for ill-gotten loot. And I dread to think which one of this lot you would like as PM. Any of these?

Seriously? These are PM candidates?
I am reminded of a line from a famous song by the late Gerry RaffertyClowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you”. This song and line of frustration was used in that horrific torture scene in Quentin Tarantino’s movie “Reservoir Dogs”. And I see this Sickular lot as nothing more than “Reservoir Dogs” gathered for next scam and thus, saving India from their torture is a decision that the voter will wisely make. I don’t see this lot coming to power in 2019.

In absence of any coherent political argument or REAL criticism, the Congress and their Sickular partners have continued their nonsensical song and dance about Muslims Muslims Muslims “suffering” or Christians suffering. Arguably, ModiSarkar has done more for Muslims than any Congress govt in the past. But just as Modi enjoys the “uncorrupt” tag, he also enjoys the “Communal Hindu” tag. Hindus see Modi bending over backward to please Muslims. His “Ek haath Guran, Ek haath Phantom” was the ultimate stroke of stupidity. He has gone so far to please them that Hindus won’t really care if he wore the Skull-cap or the Moroccan or Ottoman Fez. The Presidential Pappu of Congress himself declared covertly that “Congress is a Muslim party”. Something we have known for a long time. Aiding and abetting this shrill Muslim-suffering nonsense are also Sonia’s media bootlickers like Shekhar Gupta and many others:

Gupta also knows that RG is worth nothing more than idiotic blabber which the media dogfully reproduces. So, he now clamours for the Vadri, just like the Youth Congis, who want Priyanka as their final resort. This being the discourse, there is no reason whatsoever that ModiSarkar will not return to power. The only question that remains is; will the BJP get a full majority again? Well, what stops the BJP from a full or bigger majority in 2019? No one but the stupidity of BJP and their members themselves. In pursuit of the philosophy of the new book written by Modi and Amit Shah – “How to win enemies and lose friends”, they have been “Samparking” with some dubious characters to win support and votes:

While this angers many BJP supporters, it may not have any impact on electoral outcomes. Not one major criticism of Modi by the Sickular or their media poodles has been borne out by facts. Contrary to their nagging-spouse rants of Hitler, democracy in danger, Hindu Rashtra and all that, some decent research proves that Indian democracy is in good health under Modi and Hindus are not driven by religion in their politics in the same way that Muslims are:

Many others in the public domain – past BJP members, Jihadi Journos, frustrated biskoot-seekers have also joined in this monotonous routine of trashing ModiSarkar and Modi for everything. That “Larger Picture” idiot, Nidhi Razdan, even wanted the GOI to explain the meaning of “default” over the AC settings. Journos are mostly lettered but uneducated. Some politicians should know when to quit before their utterances sound more and more senile. Here are some members of this motley hormone-deficient whiners:

Each time these classified Biskoot-chasers raise an issue, the SM has made a laughing stock of them. People like Arun Shourie, Yashwant Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha or obviously motivated by a “power-push” by some entity that is currently unknown to us. Shahid Siddiqui is a known closet-Jihadi who wears two sets of under-garments – one is extreme green with a crescent and a star and the other slightly “English white”. And ever since Pappu invited him to a meeting of “Muslim intellectuals”, Shahid really thinks he’s an intellectual and provides the most idiot defence of Muslim crimes on SM. All of these characters and others in their group are innocent. They are as innocent as that darling little piglet that is desperate to get the Biskoot and I admire the efforts it makes and never gives up. Mind you, it will warm your heart to learn the piglet does get the Biskoot in the end (Video 2.56 mins):

For all these Hindu-haters and peddlers of fake narratives, LS2019 is as good as lost. The BJP-NDA will return to power and the only question is whether BJP will get a full majority as it did in 2014. If NDA returns to power, it will also be the first non-Congress alliance to ever return to power for a second term. Where will that leave Congress and their Sickulars post LS2019?

The Congress will disintegrate. Sonia is in no shape to campaign for LS2019 and her little Pappu has limitless supply of idiocy. Either way, there should be no room for these Hindu-hating foreigners in Indian politics. They should GET OUT. Post LS2019, Congress will see a massive exodus to other parties like SP, BJD or TMC. I estimate the last count of LS seats for the TMC in Bengal will also be dented. The other Commies like CPM or CPI will fare worse and their survival in Kerala too will be threatened. I also believe Sonia will quietly retire to Italy or Sicily as her scams and justice catch up with her. Ditto for Pappu, who anyway is not Indian in reality and doesn’t live in India most of the time. This family is neither Indian nor has any stake in India other than their disgusting lust for power and money. SP will survive but Mayawati may see the twilight of her political career or at best be a fringe-player in UP. Lalu is gone from the scene and only his cardboard cut-outs will remain in the campaign. Another opportunist, Chandrababu Naidu, will also be in for a rude shock, both in the LS and State elections.

The other Pappu from the West, Udhav Thackeray, will also be cut to his pygmy size by voters and will keep nursing his wounds for eternity. Apart from their usual strong-holds, the four most important states for numbers for BJP will be TN, Bengal, Andhra and Telangana where they are yet to make a strong show. I believe, in 2019, the BJP will make handsome gains in these states. Modi has many failures, particularly his “Dhimmitude” in not calling a spade a spade where Muslim crimes are concerned and his succumbing to Lutyens agenda frequently. Nobody voted him to play Goody Two Shoes and one hopes he really shows some 56” chest and tough spine in a second term. Often times, Modi appears and acts more like “Winnie The Pooh” rather than the “Hindu Hriday Samrat” he is being titled as.

In absence of any sensible option, Narendra Modi pretty much deserves a second term for obvious reasons. Part of his 2019 campaign plans may also be revealed in his I-Day speech tomorrow. There are many important social and national issues he has not attended to in the last four years. One hopes he does in his second term or we will have to wait longer for a truly “Hindu alternative” to BJP. The country, though, is currently in good hands.

Happy Independence Day!

  1. This is indeed a fact that Narendra Modiji has disappointed but none in opposition pointed out and build on to it. It would have started gaining for that person had he built from Modi's lacunae. They have lost chance. Now if Modiji wants to ensure 2024 he has to work right moves. Now that institutions are with him, LS, RS and the respective speakers are with him - he should be able to command. No more playing victim that congress did not allow session to run. If Congress comes below 30 in LS and respectively in RS use Marshals if need be to throw them away at the first opportunity and go about the business. These people are brat and consider Indian soil as their birth right and foreign soil as their entertainment arena.

  2. One regret is why no one has prosecuted Shekhar Gupta for fake coup story. I guess the only reason is he has some information about Modi or someone else high up in BJP Govt and is using as a blackmail to block the clear cut case for treason; or conspiracy to destabilize Govt using extra constitutional means. Even if I sound very amateurish, it was clearly a defamation of armed forces and a conspiracy to cause rift between civil Govt and Armed forces, possibly at the behest of some arms dealers (?); and if Govt so wished, it could have found any number of offences for him to be booked under.

    1. you are right but Modi has to play his game astutely. He has to finish the ecosystem that allows these sickularists to thrive rather than keep arresting dalals like Gupta. If you arrest one Gupta , you will then have 10 more in its wake, so better to focus on the kingpins than to waste time with these foot soldiers.

  3. You have nailed the sickular biskoot seeking media and their masters very well. Ultimately they have no real space left in 2019. By default despite many faults India has no real opposition to BJP. So it will be Guru Modi in 2019with overwhelming majority.

They are winners unlike earlier hindu Leaders who were always warming opposition benches. I actually suspect the NRC will even divide Indian Muslims as they too wouldnt want Bangla Muslims to be fed on scarce Indian resources.

  10. As usual a good article from you and we had to wait for a long time for this (you haven't been as active as you used to be).
I have a few observations to make on this article.
    1. Modi has definitely made a huge progress in restricting the conversion mafias, ( I have first hand information on this) by heavily restricting the fund flow. He has forced these evangelists to expose themselves and now they have come out in the open against Modi and his policies.
Now the people of India are able to see them for what they are and that is a major victory.
    2. The spectator index clearly states that Hindus, don't feel strongly about their religion and regrettably would vote against anyone who would try to exhibit strong hindu roots.
    3. That's precisely the reason why we never could see that outfits like VHP would never manage to win a single seat.
    4. Accusing Modi of pandering to the whims of minority is not a fair assessment. We have around 20 Crore muslims in this country and they are obviously far more united than their Hindu brothers and he as a PM needs to pitch for an inclusive agenda. I agree that it may not fetch him their votes but he cannot run a good show if they have valid grouses against him.
    5. A great man once said that politics is the art of possible and Modi is obviously doing a fantastic job in trying to strike a balance between the expectations from his supporters against the entire team of sickularists, deshdrohis, mediacrooks etc.
    6. Finally let us not play into the hands of the opposition by taking potshots at such a wonderful man, who is working for our welfare in spite of insults being heaped upon him.

we have been ruled for over a 1000 years because of this stupid attitude and for the first time after independence we have a PM, who is a true indian, a patriot and a karmayogi.

We have politicians in Pakistan winning elections by promising to deliver Modiraj.
I support him blindly, call me anything you want and I would definitely say that all of us should.

Sonia and her ilk have unlimited access to money and has used to it but the best brains that money could buy. So it is not so easy to get to their core using democratic means. It would take time. Regarding Ram Mandir the ground work has already been laid let the courts pronounce its judgement it will fo thru without any further acrimony.
We have 1.3 billion plus people and Modi cannot watch everyone so let us also support him at our interface levela

  12. If BJP can start scoring in Bengal and Kerala, half the battle is won. I dont even hope for a majority here. Just 10 Seats each to provide some cushion for anti-incumbency in traditional Hindi belt. One more term will make it 10 years out of Power for Congress, both at Centre and at States. It would certainly have its ramifications for the Family. Sonia I suspect would like to spend the rest of her life in her own country especially with this illness. She never really espoused India as her own. She is mostly confined to her house here and cant go to places freely. She will be able to move around freely in Italy and enjoy a normal life. I hope she reads this and finds merit in my arguments.

  13. Profound as usual. If National Herald verdict happens before 2019 elections there could be a stronger consolidation of anti dynasty votes in favour of @narendramodi hi. BJP need not have shrunk in its Hindutva commitment and could have made development as a priority that co exists with Hindutva. Where BJP has shown limitations is exactly where a committed right of centre pro Hindutva party has to come into being. 2024 agenda is bound to be Hindutva as defining framework for governance and development whereby Indians will be able to mandate development in a Hindu rashtra mode. That is by when BJP will be hard put to find a successor to the most popular and powerful Indian PM. Indians are for once set to revamp their representation in Parliamentary democracy in alignment with what they deserved to achieve during 7 decades plus of duration post independence. The good news for everyone is the so called system which has been plumbed during the past over years will witness in 2019 a massive draining of sewage from the 'system'.

  16. While I would like to agree with you that NDA will come back, I fear that Amit Shah and Narendra Modi's arrogance may prove their undoing. I simply cannot understand why these 2 do not involve any other BJP Member /Senior Party Officials / Ministers in their Polling strategies.

Surely these 2 do not know everything, nor can they be always right. IF they took the Senior BJP Ministers and Party Officials along, BJP itself may cross the 350 mark ; however, a few important victories have unfortunately turned their heads and Modi and Amit Shah will have only themselves to blame if they do not get simple majority for BJP.

  18. This government may come back because there is no sane opposition.
    But they have really disappointed.
There #Kashmir policy was utter failure. Just to maintain a government in Kashmir they almost brought it to a point of no-return.
They did nothing for Kashmiri Pandits.
They did nothing to abrogate 35A/370.
They failed miserably on #RamMandir which was there main weapon that brought them to power. And Hindus are feeling befooled.
Farmers are another disappointed lot. Modiji gained their votes by promising to double there income, instead brought it down by constantly raising prices of Diesel which has a direct bearing on every Agricultural Activity. The farmers (quite a large vote bank) are least bothered about English Channel Debates or what Lutyen Dalals bark on these channels.
And not to Forget The Middle Class which was hit the hardest by #jaitlynomics.
With Angry middle class & Farmers and no Muslim vote 2019 is a tough call.
BUT there is NONE to cash in on this.

  20. Completely agree with Bhasky Natesha. Hindus have never truly voted as a strong votebank, so Modi cannot just rely on Hindu votes. The past 4 yrs has been spent in trying to bring India out of the policy paralysis and exposing the ecosystem. The result is ppl now disregard news touted by MSM and Hindus are waking up to their identity. Modi has done well to not only improve lives with Ujjawala and Electricity outreach but also hopefully gained more supporters.
If BJP wins big in 2019, then expectations re Hindu policies can and should be raised but crucial step now is to win 2019 with majority

  25. While we're reveling in the fond belief that there is no opposition worth the name to challenge Modi, the fact that most of serving class, a huge number considering that entire middle class, at least majority of it, is service dependent, have been hit really hard. There is a silent undercurrent of resentment that overrides their core Hindu ideology for voting. The business class is equally discontented by the complicacy of GST and its equally complicated filing process. Add to it BJPs failure to act on any of its promise of Hindutva issues like Ram Mandir, Article 370 (35A), rampant Conversions, Unabated Cow slaughter, the list is long. Considering that these groups and sub groups form the core support base of Modi ranging from soft Hindus to devout Hindu ideologists, any dent in their support in form of just indifference to get out of their homes to vote, NOTA being a preferred choice because they won't for Congress or its clones, come what may; it will be a disaster in the making. All of their own doing. This could well be the difference between coming to power with a majority or being a decent a vociferous opposition.

  26. I think the BJP government has done a decent job in past 4 years. If demonetization and the Nirav Modi-Choksey-Mallya episodes had not happened, opposition would have been at a loss to find a stick to beat the BJP with ! However it seems pretty certain that it will be hard to reach 280 this time. But 225 to 250 is well achievable. There has to be sincere effort from Amit Shah for alliances with several regional parties which are are hard negotiators when chosen as pre-poll partners. This generally does not work out to the advantage of BJP. Despite this, all efforts have to be made to get BJD, JDU, AIADMK, TRS and YSR congress on the boat as pre-poll alliances and to retain Akali Dal in NDA. UP remains the Achilles' heel for the BJP. It is here that backstage negotiations with BSP is required as any pre-poll understanding is very unlikely. In the remaining states BJP is capable to take the congress and regional parties on their own. Let us hope for the best for BJP in 2019!

  29. We clearly see that Hindus don't think the Hindu religion is that important (what 26 percent?) in governance. Why, then anybody should have complain that Modi is not going out of his way to please Hindus? How many years since our temples are in government control? Did we hear a word of complaint about that during the UPA government's rule? Ditto for RTE. So until we Hindus start loving our religion as much as say Muslims or the Christians are doing we should hold Modi or any other Hindu leader accountable for not doing enough for Hindus.

I find one silver lining in the Spectator Index computing Hindu concern/engagement with their own religion as low as 26% because Modi has not done anything salient/vote-catching for the Hindu causes like Temple control RTE and last but the most important the Ramjanmabhumi temple. Despite such default I am glad that your analysis makes him a winner in 2019 either as a single majority party or in alliance with like-minded.
Having said I must put on record my unbounded appreciation of the blog both for its contents rich in data and relevant references and meaningful analysis and also for its sarcasm in referring to the prime dons and donnas of the Mahathugbanhan as you have coined the term and which term eloquently describes their habitual skulduggery for grabbing power. I still consider the Indian voters to be quite immature in the sense that they tend to get swayed by any emotional issue that could spring in the last couple of weeks, and vote on that basis rather than based on a realistic assessment of the past performance of the incumbent

See what happened to NDA under ABV in 2004. The voter still wants freebies. Absence of corruption does not garner votes. All round economic development does not appeal to voters

  39. Another amazing article Ravinar.. as always.. I would probably give Modi government an A- and not a B+, given that he inherited monumental corruption and completely broken country..conversion mafia at its peak, Jihadi terrorism almost killed this country, back breaking corruption, nepotism and an economy in total mess.. thanks to a spineless, dummy and an apology of a PM before. Modi had to clean up lot of muck.. so I will cut him some slack there

He has wiped out naxals in the jungles to a large extent (still lots of work to do with urban naxals), corruption at many levels is curtailed, middle- men almost eliminated, Jihadi network reined in, conversion mafia running scared, fake NGOs shut down, demon which hit thousands of crores of fake currency and terror funding, GST cleaning up complexity etc

I will certainly support NDA again in 2019 and wish your readers would too. Modi has brought pride in Hindus.. That alone deserves another chance

  40. One has to understand the problem that BJP faces due to the propensity of Indian masses.

Modi and BJP has no confidence that Hindu’s are capable of uniting and voting with a single voice against the Ghandy dynasty. This fact forces them to appease the minorities in order to keep their 2019 hope alive.

We know for a fact that Ghandy’s ruled for 50 years for uniting the minorities and dividing the majority.
You can be sure that minorities are capable of voting as a single block, the problem lies with the Hindu majority which can not make up its mind.
I am hoping Indian masses find the same Enron’s they did in 2014 to send the crooks packing and give Modi 5 more years to build a foundation for Hindu’s.

    1. BJP doesn't nominate any Muslim candidates and their talk on muslims is to speak politically correct things. In Govt you are supposed to speak that way. so why should Hindus have a false worry. Just g oand vote BJP enmasse. Naquvi and other muslim leaders in BJP are half muslims as their spouses are hindus.
