India UnInc - The Small People

In the past I have recommended a few books I considered a good read. Beginning now I will sometimes write about good books that I come across that have concerns of India at heart. India UnInc is one such book.

Santa Claus is a much celebrated figure. He is the one who is dressed up and is seen all around during Christmas. But in his hometown somewhere in the North Pole, it’s the little ‘Elves’ who keep the wheels turning at his gift-factory. They’re the ones who also maintain his sled and reindeer. The story of elves is not going to be told as often. The story of Indian economy is somewhat similar. I believe there are two economies; one is the political economy and the other is the “real” economy. The political-economy pays a lot of attention to the corporate sector but the real economy comprises both the corporate and the unorganised sector as also the “unincorporated” sector. This is the story that “India UnInc” looks at in the just-released book by Prof R. Vaidyanathan (RV). The book looks at the whole UnInc industry with facts and figures and a narrative that is enjoyable to read.

There are organised and unorganised sectors in our economy which are recognised. Both sectors are usually registered under some Central or State legislations and maintain regular books of accounts and file returns. The UnInc constitutes all the other “small people”, partnerships or proprietors (P&P as RV calls it). This sector can include your corner-pan-shop, barbers, carpenters, plumbers, rickshaw-pullers and even CAs, architects, lawyers and so on. These are non-agricultural and non-governmental in nature. To give you an idea of how this sector keeps the wheels of Indian economy turning let me quote from the book:

The Unincorporated sector in India contributes about 45% of the national income, which, by far, surpasses the corporate sector’s contribution of about 15% and yet its contribution remains unacknowledged. Also, it is important to note that the estimates of this sector in manufacturing and services need to be more accurate.

RV hilariously tells us how national planners and economy-analysers sometimes use POTA in their studies or analysis of this sector and economy in general. No, this is not that POTA, this POTA is data “Pulled out of Thin Air”. He states: “We observe that the non-corporate service activities, which, in turn, constitutes nearly two thirds of our economy. These are also the fastest growing activities. So justifiably, it is the non-corporate sector that should be termed ‘the engine of our economic growth’ and the Indian economy be called the partnership and proprietorship economy (P&P economy)”.

Thus RV deals with some myths about our economy that have always surrounded us and led us to believe that the corporate sector is the great backbone of the Indian economy. The truth, as with all myths, is quite different. This is not in any way to dismiss the corporate sector or its deserved place, but to indicate that they get more attention than due. Known for his wit and research RV also makes some stunning points with a good sense of humour: “There is a witty saying in the Army, that to move up in the ranks what needs to be done is “Salute all things moving and paint all things standing”. In the same vein, governments attempt to control and regulate an economic activity if it does not understand it and tax it if it is growing fast”. 

RV also touches upon education concerns of these small people and also how they contribute to many causes; both social and religious for their own community. That they also make a great contribution to savings while managing their own expenses. He writes: “What is really important is that the educational expenses are, in a perverse way, inversely related to the level of education, like KG being more expensive than post-graduation”… Banks do not provide loans for school education but provide for IIM/IIT education”. This is an absurdity in our system. Narendra Modi in his last speech at a BJP meet outlined primary education in his vision statement. RV explains it as giving loans for constructing the second and third floor of a building but not the foundation. I would go further and suggest primary education should be free for all children no matter private or public schools. This freebie or burden is one that we should gladly bear.

Public and media discussions largely centre around macro-economics. This is a reason why you’ll find “eminent economists” like Sagarika Ghose quizzing Modi on US business interests or fiscal deficits. Our lives are related to micro-economics. Even on the issue of reservation in private sector, RV logically explains why SCs/STs would be better served by developing their skills to be entrepreneurs. Indians are gifted at enterprise. This is where govts should be investing energy instead of more and more doles and reservation.

I have met RV a few times and he is a keen observer of the economy and political policies. Apart from being a popular teacher at IIM Bangalore he conveys his messages with a lot of facts and figures and analogies. His articles feature in many newspapers and he often appears on TV as a panellist. We tend to discuss economics in casual conversations with issues that directly affect our everyday lives. This book takes it further for the country and will inevitably become a tool and resource for anyone seeking a deeper understanding and learning of Indian economics of the small people. The Lipstick Wars

There are times when the media desperately seeks the interview of a politician or a celebrity. At other times it’s the reverse. We are now used to a trend where before release of every Bollywood movie the main stars go on a channel-hopping spree doing the same mundane interviews and chats. Make no mistake, all these are “paid” promos. There are PR firms who “install” these interviews. Sometimes politicians also go channel-hopping, especially when they have screwed up badly. They usually run to “friendly” channels.

Indians aren’t the only skin-colour-conscious people. America has long known racism and prejudice against blacks, Asians and Hispanics. Our Fiberals complain of Muslims being stereo-typed as terrorists but it is nothing like the way blacks are stereo-typed in the West. But Muslims don’t get killed in India routinely as blacks are in America. There’s another difference; it’s the frequency at which blacks get killed by the Police for silly reckless misunderstandings. A commenter in the previous post says “Nigerians are famous for drug business”. Such blanket prejudices can have dire consequences as we can see in this video (6.24 mins): 

Michael Moore puts it across with humour but blacks have been killed for policemen seeing guns when they were actually wallets, key-chains, spatulas, hair-clips and even chocolate bars. So when people see blacks (Nigerians or Ugandans) you can understand why some people in Delhi make a general categorisation of them as prostitutes or drug-pushers. Somnath Bhartia is one of them and he wanted to behave like the NYPD and deliver instant justice. I agree with the part where he and Arvind Kejriwal say cops have been irresponsible and insensitive. There is no police force in India that is seen as friendly with people, same goes for Delhi. But elected ministers don’t go around in the middle of the night with TV crews to make a show of their dare-devilry. In this case an FIR has been ordered against those who manhandled the African women and I hope they are prosecuted for the misery and humiliation caused to some women. AK even defends this nonsense by stupid rhetoric like “we aren’t sleeping under comforters (Rajaais) in air-conditioned rooms like ministers of other parties”. What kind of silly logic is that? Our media won’t ask; especially not if the minister is on his home-channels like CNN-IBN or NDTV. That’s what CNN-IBN with Rajdeep Sardesai and NDTV with Barkha Dutt did for Arvind Kejriwal on January 18, 2014.

It’s not just the Africans. Bharti is also reported to have raided a restaurant in Delhi past midnight and created a ruckus. This guy seems punch drunk with power and, like a bad vehicle, shouldn’t be on the streets at all. TimesNow released CCTV footage showing Bharti had invaded a hospital and forced the doctors to conduct tests on the African women. This is no different than street-goondas that Delhizens are already worried about. This is what AK is defending through his self-sought interview. I have every reason to believe this interview was sought by AK to wash his sins and proclaim himself a victim. If CMs want to make grand announcements they hold pressers, they don’t run to their home-channels. Rajdeep was woken up on a Saturday looking ragged and talked like an uncle of AK and Barkha too turned up like a teenage fan-girl of AK. You can watch the CNN-IBN interview on Youtube and the NDTV on their site. So let me summarise what the interview was and what AK really wanted to say:

“What Somnath Bharti did was right. I have done more in 21 days than any other govt in India since Independence. What have Rajasthan, Chattisgarh and MP govts done in 21 says? We have mapped 946 schools for sanitation and grants”. Then more of the repeated moronic nonsense “I am not doing anything, the Aam Aadmi is doing it all. I am not the CM, the Aam Aadmi is CM. I don’t want to be CM or PM, it’s the Aam Aadmi who wants it. We are not contesting LS elections; it’s the Aam Aadmi who is contesting elections. We are the only honest party in the country”. And all this garbage and wordplay with “Aam Aadmi” passes through both the media celebs without challenge. AK reeled off some 10 points of great achievements in his 21-day stint as CM. Frankly, do CMs go to media to brag about anything in 21 days? Then he wonders what the other new govts have done. Neither Rajdeep nor Barkha had the honesty to tell him “We don’t have their list and they aren’t here to answer, so your question is meaningless”.

Rajdeep and Barkha did ask him questions about Somnath Bharti, Prashant Bhushan’s referendum, other controversies and the daily “TV drama” of AAP members. But they don’t seem to realise that they are fuelling the same drama that they grandly question. Just like those movie promos, AK’s statements were identical, his answers were identical and even his cough was identical. So this was an opportunity created by AK himself to announce how he has been wronged and justify his silly idea of going on a “Dharna” on January 20. AK made some more bogus claims of how AAP is nationally being demanded by people and that there is an “Aandhi” (storm) across the country. Well, their meetings in certain places showed us what kind of storm is brewing.

Forget the protesters from East Delhi in the bottom row. In all the other pics the AAP meetings have received a luke-warm response. So this constant drumming up of “nation’s aam Aadmi wants us to contest elections and go national” is empty rhetoric with no substance. An honest statement would have been “WE want to go national and play kingmaker in the next LS”. The news reports from Tamil Nadu (where there’s a fight on about who owns AAP) and Prashant Bhushan’s Hyderabad darshan are not very different.

As people in the news media, it is surprising that both Rajdeep and Barkha allowed AK’s bluster to pass without as much as a question on these flop shows. AK keeps repeating that he didn’t ask for any support from Congress and they supported AAP on their own. This clever nonsense can pass studio specialists but not people. It is quite well known that Sandeep Dikshit has had many meetings with AK and perhaps continues to meet him. Dikshit himself admitted this. So claiming there was no discussion or dialogue with Congress is another lie being peddled by AK. Here’s what The Hindu writes:

Certain things tend to be forgotten amid the din. An impression has been created that the Aam Aadmi Party enjoys the support of 2.2 crore Delhiites. It got only 29 per cent of the votes. That means 71 per cent of voters rejected it… Mr. Kejriwal is yet another politician who has resorted to politics as his last refuge. I wonder if Meera Sanyal, V. Balakrishnan and Captain Gopinath have done their due diligence before joining the AAP.

The loud screams of entire Delhi or country suddenly wants AAP is a fallacy that both the TV channels and AK are busy tom-toming. These lies are meant to distract from many important issues and wilfully so. Nothing is an accident. The much-respected MJ Akbar writes:

Populism is a dangerous temptation. It is not limited to offering free power to those who refused to pay bills. It extends to vigilante behaviour in which any complaint is always valid, police is always wrong, and officials are morally bankrupt. Overheated rhetoric can take you perilously close to boiling point very quickly. When Kejriwal threatens to sit in public protest against his own state's police, then there are only a few stages left to chaos. Delhi's citizens voted for change, not anarchy. The Delhi police have dozens of faults, most of which those living here have experienced in one form or the other. But can you replace them with party volunteers?... The Aam Aadmi Party is encouraging street radicalism without possessing the courage to become Naxalites. Its tendencies [one cannot quite call it a manifesto, since no one has put it together into an intelligent, logical framework yet] are towards socialisation of the system and nationalisation to increase the power of the political class over both bureaucracy and private sector. It has become so holier-than-thou that when its minister is exposed by a judge then it is the judiciary that must be wrong. The party cannot be mistaken. Lenin and Mao would agree.

Monday, January 20, during peak hours AK & Co. does a “Dharna” in front of the Rail Bhawan. Seriously, is this the route that a CM takes within the first month of office? And that too just to get some cops suspended because they didn’t do the illegal bidding of Somnath Bharti? To top it all AK claims that AAP is in power despite the media and not because of it. This is another big lie. He quotes a sting against his party which was by some channel but all the other channels, including the entire group of CNN-IBN and their employees, were rooting for AAP. One of the fake journalists, Ashutosh, even joined the party after the elections. So who is AK trying to fool? What becomes more and more evident is that AK is neither interested in governance nor is he well-equipped for it. He doesn’t have the talent and skills for governance. He seems to only have the talent to agitate, create ruckus and enjoy anarchy. His Dharna made the lives of Delhizens miserable but he grandly and proudly announces “I am an anarchist” to the world. To cover up for this weakness he is into some gimmickry or another and 24X7 on TV. AAP managed to fool about 30% people of Delhi but I doubt people are going to be fooled by his theatrics anymore.

Given what Somnath Bharti and Rakhi Birla have done there is no way that a police force can be given in the hands of monkeys. I have found every justification for Delhi police to be under Delhi govt but after seeing the comedy and nonsense of AAP I am very clear they cannot be given charge of a police force. If the police haven’t acted in the past or in the present there is a way to resolve this in a democracy. Ministers are not supposed to go around raiding and attacking residents. This implies that if they suspect someone is a rapist or a murderer they might not only raid him but also deliver instant justice by hanging him. Delhi is not Somalia or Afghanistan (even those countries have some sort of hearing). All that Barkha, Rajdeep did was to attempt putting lipstick on the foolishness of AK. Media also has the responsibility not to allow a CM to use them to peddle lies and nonsense. Here’s what Rajdeep and Barkha managed to do:

On his part AK is now trying lipstick on the crimes of Somnath Bharti and the utter lack of governance in Delhi. To add more lipstick to the failures the other extreme Commie Yogendra Yadav held a presser and waved a fake letter claiming it was from an Ugandan official mentioning Ugandan women are lured and misused and sought help. But the Ugandan govt has simply denied any such letter. It therefore appears these extremists are now even resorting to outright fraud for their anarchy. AK is neither interested in governance nor in govt. He just wants to be arrested or his govt sacked to generate some sympathy for his next venture: LS elections. I doubt anyone misses this trickery. When asked about Congress support to AAP, AK grandly stated “you watch, they will regret it in a few days”. Nothing is an accident; AK knows the path of anarchy he has set for himself and his party. I have also stated earlier that AK has a history of not finishing any task undertaken by him. He keeps hopping from one agitation to another as a media-survival lifeline.

AK has now gone far enough to ask the police to shed their uniform and join his protests. This is the ultimate signal of a revolt and anarchy. Governance is not about announcing a few schemes or doles. It is a much larger responsibility and I doubt Arvind Kejriwal understands it. My bigger doubt is if AK even understands democracy. You see, most of his party’s senior members and newbies are Commies who relish a system of disruption and chaos. It is one thing to want change and act for change and altogether another one to be disruptive and anarchic. This is the guy who said dharnas don’t work so they formed a political party and are now in govt. Now politics and govt don’t work so he’s back to dharnas. A CM or his ministers behaving like street-goondas certainly reflects poor understanding of democracy. This street nonsense is what AK proudly touts as his Swaraj. Barkha and Rajdeep put lipstick on AK; that may be the usual media job. But a CM using lipstick to cover up crimes of his Law Minister and for his lack of vision or any idea of governance is a dangerous proposition.   

Dangerous Deceptions - Part 4: Punch Drunk Harrys

If you open the Google homepage for a search there are two buttons below the block for the search text. One is “Search” and the one next to it says “I’m feeling lucky”. The “feeling lucky” comes from an iconic movie of a maverick cop who liked to dispense instant justice and he hated all criminals equally and couldn’t be bothered with courts and trials. That punk was lucky there was no bullet left. Harry Callahan aka “Dirty Harry” has been copied, imitated and remade hundreds of times in Hollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood and every place on earth that has woods. Lately we also have politicians who want to deliver instant justice; just like Dirty Harry.

True story: There was a man in a school teaching English and other subjects. He was a million miles from his home-state, a genuinely nice guy and also brave. He once fought thugs, who attacked girls on a school-trip on a train, almost single-handedly. It was hard to believe the guy could also suddenly handle so much violence. One fine day he appeared in starched white Dhoti and Kurta which was shockingly different from the ordinary pants-shirts he wore for about 3 years. When asked about the sudden change in appearance he said he had now become an MLA. Huh? Imagine the shock on everyone’s face. Where? In Bengal! The CPM came to power in 1977 after the Emergency. Turns out this nice gentleman was a naxal on the run and contested elections in absentia and won. I wonder if an underground naxal parading as a school teacher can be called “deception”. His public bio won’t tell you this story. His name is…. Oh wait! On second thoughts maybe I should leave it to you to guess. 

The good thing about that Commie is that he didn’t fool or cheat anyone while he was a teacher. Some people not only fool others, they do so while claiming to be public intellectuals and thinking for the best of society. Here’s a gallery of Fiberals with something common among them:

Yeah, you guessed right! These are “Fai Fighters”; the Pak-loving, Free-Kashmir, assorted fake peaceniks and “Useful idiots” of Ghulam Nabi Fai who was arrested by the US Govt for being an ISI stooge. When Fai was arrested these idiots claimed ‘oh we didn’t know; had we known we wouldn’t have attended his anti-India conferences’. What they don’t know and won’t tell you is that Fai had picked these “useful idiots” precisely for their known positions on Kashmir which aren’t friendly for India. Fai had picked them because they had proved themselves to be “idiots” in their own country. They loved the foreign junkets and luxuries as guests of ISI. There’s another motley crew, another bunch of “useful idiots” now roaming the streets of Delhi. Here’s the gallery:

Some of the above are AAP Party founders, some are “I-want-what-you-have” wagon hitchers like Gopinath and Ashutosh; some are professional agitators like Mallika, Medha. And some are Fai-fighters like Chenoy and Bhushan. All of them are “useful idiots” for someone; some of them know it, some don’t. We can only make a fair estimate who their Master is. So I estimate one day, like those Fai idiots, some of these people will say “Oh I didn’t know AAP would turn out like this. I thought they would take us to the Promised Land”. That’s how idiots usually start out to fool others but more importantly, they fool themselves. Events of the past few weeks reminded me what I tweeted on December 12 about dogs chasing cars. The AAP guys simply don’t know what to do now and have turned Delhi into a daily street battle with vigilantes raiding schools and hospitals and ministers raiding imaginary prostitutes.

In the previous part I asked how in the world Commies can even talk about democracy. They are mostly street thugs or good at agitations and when in power they’re bad dictators. Somnath Bharti proved it by chasing some Nigerian women calling them prostitutes and threatening the police to carry out raids without any warrants. The Nigerian women were harassed, their private parts searched and were even racially abused. This is typical Commie-Goonda behaviour. They have now become the same “goondas” that they accused politics was infested with. Somnath is the same guy indicted by a Delhi court for tampering with evidence and he’s the Law Minister. The best part about this crook is he took the media along to his midnight express. The TV scenes of Bharti could have well been from a movie like ‘Gangajal’ with the goonda threatening the police. Punch Drunk!

On the issue of rapes there was a lot more clarity from Arvind Kejriwal. The man campaigned calling Sheila Dikshit “Beimaan” (Dishonest) and even put up posters on Auto rickshaws. But this is what it looks like now:

If it was just political gimmickry that forced AK to make those statements pre-elections that is understandable. Politicians make grand claims for votes. But there is something even more dangerous that AK does that is similar to Bharti’s act. He wants the police to avoid penalising Autos that break rules. He wants Autos to refuse passengers. AK is neither interested in law nor is he interested in protecting women or any citizen. He simply doesn’t know what to do. He forgot that he gladly enjoyed agitating during the Nirbhaya rape incident and mouthing filth against the police, the transport system, the CM and the govt. In my post ‘Broken Windows’ I had tried to explain that bigger crimes start with ignoring small crimes. AK forgets that Nirbhaya happened because an Auto refused to carry her and her friend and they had to walk a bit and finally board that monster bus which was not certified road-worthy. “I am the Lord and my WILL be done”. That’s how AK and his Law Minister are behaving and fool people by repeatedly telling them “we are Aam Aadmi, we live an Aam life” and such bogus crap. AK is the guy who said “Ruling Delhi is not rocket science”. Self-deception!

By now most of their hypocrisies, U-turns and deceptions from the past and the present have become a daily routine. A reader, Sanku Das, points out the shocking amounts due from many AAP members to utility boards and departments. Shazia Ilmi has assets worth 17.45 crores. Look up on other members when you have the time. How AAM are these people? Let’s catch up with some more punch drunk idiots:

There’s the anti-national Kamal Chenoy who wants Hurriyat and others to unite against India. Prashant Bhushan wants the same with a plebiscite and referendum in Kashmir and prefers Kashmir separate from India. He echoes Arundhati Roy. Bhushan also prefers Rahul Gandhi as PM and that’s just a hint. There’s Medha Patkar who has been a nuisance to people and to the law. Apart from that there are issues concerning her funding which is also in the public domain. Almost every prominent person joining AAP seems to have some funding-related bad history. Capt. Gopinath is reported to have defaulted on 500Crs worth of loans and there are reports he still hasn’t paid dues of some former Air Deccan employees. I call him Capt. Topinath. Meera Sanyal told CNN-IBN on January 14 she is in favour of BJP’s economic policies but is against Hindutva so her choice is AAP. That is one small secret that unites all these “useful idiots”. It is important to unite against the “evil” of Hindutva. What is surprising about that, eh? Shekhar Gupta & Co. hounded Kiran Bedi for her petty travel bills but he never thought it fit to look into the funding of AK & others and their NGOs when the Fords, AID, ASHAs etc. were all in the public domain. That too is a hint.

While in IBN7 Ashutosh said those objecting to Retail FDI are “illiterate” (Imagine this guy calling anyone illiterate; laughable!). He now agrees to AAP’s anti-FDI policy. If, like Ashutosh, other media celebs like Rajdeep, Sagarika, Barkha, Arnab were to join politics just imagine how many flip-flops you would see. Maybe, they’d tell you that was a “journalistic opinion” and this is a “political stand”. That’s why there’s no incentive to trust any word these people say unless it’s just raw news. You know, those “illiterate” leaders that Ashutosh refers to in his tweet are those of the BJP who opposed it. But if it’s because he’s in AAP now or not, Ashutosh has never shown any signs of being literate. Worse, never shown any signs of sound thinking or honest reporting.  The AAP deceptions are so many that it will take a whole book to write about each. Here’s another give-away from Manish Sisodia:  

Indian Express later withdrew their tweet claiming it was a typo. I don’t accept their nonsense. Someone pointed out that typing “teh” instead of “the” can be a typo. I’d say “Tamish” instead of “Manish” can also be accepted as a typo but surely, even a Sagarika wouldn’t type “anti-BJP” instead of “anti-corruption” as IE claimed. There is another tweet from an AAP member in 2012 which confirms that AAP is anti-BJP although he mentions IAC at that time. By August 2012 IAC was over and done with and AK & Co. were headed for politics. That’s where the kingpin Yogendra Yadav comes in. From the day I saw Yadav on TV (much before AAP or IAC) and heard him talk he has reminded me of Michael Jackson’s ‘Smooth Criminal’. Of course, I must add that his political colleagues and TV friends vouch for him as an honest and genuinely nice guy. But honesty and politics rarely go together.

The first time I saw YY’s involvement in the Lokpal agitation was when he called for AK to end his hunger strike (he probably also ran a signature campaign for ending the fast) in March 2012. A few months later AAP was formed and I learned YY had become a member. I believe YY was perhaps instrumental in this decision. I also believe YY was deputed by the Congress for the AAP formation. After all, YY has long been a Congress sympathiser and also one of those who were “evolving” Rahul Gandhi (read this DNA report). Look closely and you will find the manifesto, political philosophy and “dole culture” of AAP is entirely an YY enterprise. So on January 16 when Vinod Binny made some serious allegations against AK & Co. YY was quick to state it was all a BJP conspiracy. However, Vinod Binny’s allegations were backed by another member, Surinder Singh. So, any criticism by its own members is now a BJP conspiracy for YY. Pretty neat and quite predictable, isn’t it? YY conveniently ignores the fact that Binny was formerly a Congress member.

That brings us to AK, the front-desk, factory and top-management of AAP, all rolled into one. And he has two side-kicks, Manish Sisodia and Yogendra Yadav. I am not sure AK really wanted to be CM. I’m not sure AK even wants to be PM as YY so fondly dreams. The media too has decided AK, with about 21 days experience of CMship and about 10 years of street-agitations, is now a PM candidate to challenge Modi. Oh, they don’t trust that forever-bride Rahul Gandhi anymore. But if you really want to know if a candidate is fit for anything it’s not who he is or what he is that one should look into. What matters is: What’s your story? Anyone who cares knows Narendra Modi’s story but most people haven’t looked deep into AK’s story. Let’s do that now and below is a summary extracted from a history of Arvind Kejriwal. This is his story and I recommend you read the whole long dossier to understand the person and not the position (Emphasis and comments in brackets are mine):

So there you are; a long history of AK’s flip-flops, manipulations, poor accountability for funds in his own NGOs, using and dumping people, changing ideology when convenient and leaving every campaign unfinished. He and AAP have no policies and no vision. They just want to be Dirty Harry dispensing instant justice. Harry still had someone to answer to and had to face bullets. These guys just keep getting more and more brazen in their street justice every day. AAP’s thrill was to announce massive freebies and doles which were not even properly thought through.

The current propeller of AK’s soap opera is none other than Yogendra Yadav who is like being on Congress deputation to AAP. My favourite line for deceivers has been “the mask and make-up of Chachi 420 wasn’t meant to last forever”. This mask and make-up is now peeling away faster than expected. I doubt AK ever wanted to be a CM. He probably wanted to create a revolution and be a high authority like a Lokpal or a CJI (He can’t be CJI though) or the CIC by which he could dispense instant justice, haul anyone before his court and sentence anyone without proper hearing. He wants to play Dirty Harry. The Congress calculations forced him to settle for something less like a CM position. He has used people as “tools” in his public life but for once he has become a tool himself for the Congress. I’m sure his mirror will tell him that. He could have been an honourable public figure doing great service. He chose the evil path and evil always gets defeated in the end.

Punch Drunk is the description of a person showing signs of brain damage and disorientation caused by repeated blows to the head.  Punch Drunk is also a British drama model where audience members are free to roam the performance site, which can be as large as a five-story industrial warehouse. They can either follow the performers and themes or simply explore the world of the performance. I guess both definitions apply to AAP’s performance as a party and govt so far.
