Political Suckers Of Bollywood

Hollywood is known to be largely Leftist Fiberals. The Lefties often bully those who are not in their Tabela and even covertly push artists into the boycott zone. This is not new. Prominent Senator from the Republican party, Joseph McCarthy and his Committee hounded many suspected Commies in the US including those in Hollywood. Many artists from Hollywood faced his wrath and even prosecuted for Contempt of Congress. As things got worse, there was a wide call to boycott the “Reds” of Hollywood and elsewhere during the period of McCarthyism from late 1940s to early 50s. This is a story I had narrated earlier in “Bollywood Sleepers”:

Not all of McCarthy’s accusations and hounding were fair. However, Bollywood is pretty similar in its Commie filth and its Islamist agenda. Bollywood is anti-Hindu, vulgar, extremely pro-Pakistan and glorifies Islamic terrorists while portraying Hindus as evil terrorists. This is a reason why Hindus must not only shun Bollywood but treat them as pariahs and permanently boycott them unless they stop abusing Hinduism, Hindus and Hindu Gods. It should not stop no matter what a Bollywood sucker like PM Narendra Modi thinks or says to his party coolies.

There are many statements and actions of Modi in the past that I have overlooked as aberrations. Even his prancing around with Thookiyas of Bollywood was dismissed as just gentle indulgence. But his character has unraveled slowly over his constant neglect of Hindus and their lives, sucking up to Muslims and new groupings like Bohras and Pasmanda Muslims for special attention and ignoring the consistent anti-Hinduness of Bollywood. Most policies of Modi relating to humans are caste-based, religion-based with excessive crawling for Muslims and Sikhs. Considering he grew up with some Abbas and has a Pakistani sister, one can understand his Thookism. Being from the Ghanchi community Modi has more in common with his Muslim counterparts than any other Gujarati community. This is one among many reasons Modi loves and sucks up to Bollywood – partly for his fascination with drama and theatre and partly out of his lust for lipstick and, of course, Bollywood money for the party.

Modi is a man who cries for Shabana Azmi’s ankle but doesn’t shed one tear for hundreds of Hindus killed under his watch. I call him “Raja Babu” the man who changes costumes to become any known actor or celeb. Modi is as much an actor as any of his beloved Thookiyas of Bollywood. They hate Hindus as much as Modi does. Count another profit for him. It is not just BJP; all political parties are coolies of Bollywood or Kollywood or Mollywood depending on their power positions. Many depreciated actors have turned to politics too.

The Bollywood mafia is made up of a few family-run studios and production houses and a few big Islamic stars. This mafia operated exactly like the 5 major mafia families of New York. Outsiders were not allowed to enter Bollywood mainstream. There are cases like Sushant Singh, Nitin Mukesh or Kangana Ranaut who were constantly throttled. Even a guy like Hrithik Roshan was mostly reduced to movies made by his father. Bollywood is a mafia, was funded by the underworld mafia and if you don’t play to their tunes you could even be killed like that T-Series guy Gulshan Kumar. It is Sushma Swaraj as I&B minister under AB Vajpayee govt that gave Bollywood recognition as an industry to help producers get legitimate financing. But once you taste crime-money, nothing else is going to taste sweeter. The Gambino or Genovese or Corleone families didn’t depend on banks for money except for laundering it.

Before the BJP govt took charge in UP and Yogi became the CM, the Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav not only romanced Bollywood but had special programs where Bollywood mujra dancers were called to perform and paid extraordinary money like 30 crores for one Saifai event. As if that wasn’t enough, Yadav had a scheme that paid stupid stipend money to rich cricketers and Bollywoodias as if they are beggars outside a masjid. While this happened, the BJP guys trashed Yadav and mocked these silly acts as if the BJP guys were washed in pure milk from the Tabelas of Jogeshwari and Goregaon in Mumbai:

The SP has been out of power for over six years. Yogi and the BJP have been winning UP handsomely for the last two elections. If Yadav can do mujras for Bollywoodias, Yogi can dance even better. So, you might wonder why Suneil Shetty made an appeal to Yogi to ask PM to stop the Bollywood boycott campaigns. This was during a meeting on January 7. And why should Shetty be meeting Yogi to vent Bollywood frustrations and why should Modi bully his own party members to not trash Bollywood? Well, Yogi is building a massive film city to suck up better to Bollywoodias and other movie makers. Here is his elaborate plan over 1000 acres. For all the nonsense of Modi’s “Soshit, Vanchit, Peedit” etc, a State govt by BJP wants to suck up to Bollywood and invest in infrastructure for them. While this entire lipstick will go into the gutter and Bollywood will not buy into it, why should a govt build something for a corrupt business? The only answer you can estimate is flow of illegitimate money to the party coffers at taxpayer cost (with which such film city is built) because Bollywood runs entirely of Hawala money and dubious finances:

Mumbai became the den of film production because the Punjabi refugees settled there and the pioneers of Indian cinema happened to be from Mumbai. The infrastructure for movies in Mumbai has been built over 90 years or so. It’s not just studios and producers, there are other vendors for artwork, costumes, editing studios, standardized music producers and, of course, the underworld mafia funding. What Yogi is doing in UP is just a fun park getaway for some stray movie-makers and UP is not exactly an attractive destination for all the peripheral suppliers for a movie industry. Bollywood wasn’t built by govt. Hollywood wasn’t built by govt. Tollywood or Kollywood weren’t built by govt. So, govts are usually a terrible failures at most things want to build a fruit and vegetable park for movies by sucking up like coolies to Bollywood. Therein lies the whole cause of Modi, Yogi and the BJP sucking up to Bollywood:

Consequent to these events, film city, and Hindus threatening to boycott Bollywood movies and the failure of big-money, big-star movies like “Lal Singh Chadda” or “Prithviraj” and successes mostly coming from Southern movie studios, Raja Babu Narendra Modi is naturally upset. The entire PMship of Modi has a lot to do with acting. Lights, slow motion promos, lipstick, makeup, camera-coolieness, pushing people out of the frame when a camera is around are all hallmarks of a village bumpkin too obsessed with his filmy life. Plus, add the fact that Bollywoodias may be supplying covert money to the party will result in such bullying by a despot as asking his members not to trash Bollywood movies and result in more boycotts and failures:

In addition to all the agenda driven crawling for Bollywood, it should be borne in mind that Bollywood movies being mostly in Hindi caters to the biggest market for BJP – the cow-belt states like UP, Rajasthan, MP, Bihar. An association with movie stars and promoting their movies may help BJP as the public associates Modi with stars in selfies and ministers at movies and film awards as a reflection of their own liking. The movies in other languages hardly have any impact on BJP’s fortunes and so they don’t have much association with Tamil, Kannada, Telugu or Bengali movies.

Bollywood is garbage and a river of filth flowing through your digital devices and theatres. The talent is rare as are decent, good movies. The fact that Bollywood is an Islamist den and an anti-Hindu mafia is nothing but poison for any Hindu family and particularly young Hindu girls and boys. Bollywood is mental terrorism against Hindus. While other terrorists kill the body, Bollywood is a terrorism that kills your brains. The newer movies of Bollywood more or less have turned actresses into semi-strip club dancers and nothing more. The propaganda is to lure more Hindu girls into love jihad type behaviour, destroy Hinduness and values of Hindu culture and overt and covert abuse of Hinduism itself. All of this anti-Hinduness matches perfectly with Modi’s agenda – Destroy Hindu culture. Thus, the despot talks like a bully on what one should think, what one should comment:

Bollywood is nothing but “Mental Terrorism” against Hindus and only uneducated, unaware Hindus will pay for abuse of their own culture and poison their own children. I have written earlier that Arnab Goswami was sacked from Timesnow because of the Bollywood mafia of Karan Johar. The Thookiya agenda of Bollywood is a perfect mirror of Modi’s own agenda which the Muslim Clerics and Pasmandlis now welcome.

Sangma Slaps Karan 'TheTool' Thapar

In the American-Italian mafia business everyone had a nickname. Among the famous ones is George ‘Babyface’ Nelson. Then there’s the introduction to the GoodFellas: Nicky ‘Eyes’, Frankie ‘TheWop’ (A slur for those of Italian descent meaning  ‘Without Papers’), ‘Fat’ Andy, and the best one had to be when Henry Hill introduces Jimmy: “And then there was Jimmy ‘Two’Times’, who got that nickname because he said everything twice”. And the typical response by Jimmy TwoTimes: “I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers”.

Sometime back I had already explained why the MSM is ‘India’s biggest mafia’. One of the ‘honourable’ members of this MSM just got a new nickname: Karan ‘TheTool’ Thapar. This was in his interview of Presidential nominee of Opposition parties, P.A. Sangma. Anyone who saw the interview would easily agree it was indeed motivated, sometimes in poor taste, and mostly ‘Karan The Tool’ clearly seemed to be campaigning for the other ticket, Pranab Mukherjee. Such is our criminally biased media that far from interviewing Sangma, The Tool was actually ridiculing him on many counts. That Sangma is an ‘underdog’ is not good enough reason for the media to campaign for Pranab, which they have been doing so far.

There’s a reason Justice Katju once said our so-called journalists are not well-versed in History (or Science or anything). Take a look at the picture on the left. The headline says “Dewey defeats Truman”. The man holding up the newspaper and smiling is definitely not Thomas Dewey the Presidential candidate against Harry Truman in 1948. Truman was the underdog in that election and almost everyone had predicted he would lose. No one gave him a chance. The presidential elections were held on November 2, 1948 and even before final results were announced the Chicago Tribune had released its early morning edition of November 3, 1948 with that headline. Many newspapers even ridiculed Truman’s campaign and candidature, just like Thapar The Tool and the rest of Indian MSM do with Sangma. A New York Times article editorialized that "If Truman is nominated, he will be forced to wage the loneliest campaign in recent history". Everybody loves an underdog. Fact: Harry Truman won the election. You won’t find a bigger slap on the media in history than that headline carried by the Chicago Tribune. But the likes of Thapar TheTool, CNN-IBN and others in the Indian MSM don’t seem to learn from history.

Even if a candidate is an underdog, even if the media favours Pranab Mukherjee journalists would tread a bit cautiously in making extreme statements. The Tool’s interview of Sangma smacks of arrogance, extreme bias, motivated and in very bad taste. Here are some of the questions and statements (in blue) from the interview  (Read the full transcript here):

Mr Sangma I have spoken to many people and practically all of them, including many of your sponsors, say that you have very little chance of winning. Then, why are you contesting..

I guess nobody taught Thapar The Tool, that in a democracy it is almost a ‘Sin’ to not contest elections and allow any candidate to be elected unopposed. This is the very foundation of democracy. But slaves like CNN-IBN, The Tool and others in the MSM want Pranab to be elected unanimously. Was democracy created for unanimity? Shameful!

Mr Sangma let me put it to you, people are fond of you, they indulge you, but they are laughing at the fact that you believe that you can win. Nobody believes it but you.

By sheer logic why was The Tool’s channel breaking so much sweat over Lee-Hesh and Tennis players for the Olympics. Does anyone seriously expect them to win a medal? What is the motive for deriding a person’s candidature? It can’t be mere bias or sympathy for the other ticket. It has to be a lot more than that. And those who play or contest elections must firmly do so with the belief they can win. If not, they should behave like losers like The Tool.

Are you a little worried that by standing in the face of such odds and they are incredible odds, you might make yourself a laughing stock?

A laughing stock? Where does such language come from? Only uncouth, uncivilised and badly reared journalists talk to a presidential candidate in this filthy language. I wonder if such journalists are becoming the speciality of CNN-IBN. In reference to BJP’s support for Sangma, The Tool comes up with this:

Mr Sangma are you reducing the killings in Kandhamal, the killings in Dang, the Graham Staines, as a few incidents?

And then morons like The Tool and his channel keep screaming about “Secularism” and “One nation”. What has Kandhamal got to do with Sangma’s candidature? Has The Tool asked Pranab about Emergency? Given that Pranab was directly involved in certain actions during that time? Has The Tool asked Pranab about favours and offences relating to benefits allowed to some corporate bodies?

Mr Sangma, even if you look at the BJP, who you said a moment ago had increased their support for you to 26-28 per cent, are using you… as a stepping stone over the bridge to Jayalalithaa and Naveen Patnaik. Mr Sangma you are a tool. You are a part of a strategy that supports their convenience. That’s why they are supporting you, not because they believe in you.

Those are not questions. Those are inferences and theories spawned by the interviewer himself. That’s CNN-IBN journalism for you. But Sangma responded with a resounding slap for The Tool: “You think we are ignorant of which media is whose tool? Mr Karan, you think we are ignorant of which media is whose tool. Mr Karan don’t talk about tools”.

Karan‘TheTool’Thapar:  Are you suggesting that my questioning is motivated?

Candidate PA Sangma:   Yes, yes, you are also a tool….

In trying to campaign for the Congress candidate Pranab Mukherjee, Thapar The Tool ended up making up an absolute fool of himself. I always knew that Thapar The Tool is a motivated, biased and a journalistic moron. Sangma just confirmed all of it and exposed him to the whole world. However, there is always this bright side. Given that the MSM is India’s biggest mafia, Karan Thapar has a first to his credit. He is the first one to be nicknamed by a Presidential candidate like in all mafias and the nickname suits him in many ways. He is now Karan ‘TheTool’ Thapar. He and CNN-IBN can celebrate!

India's Biggest Mafia

Of the thousands of comments on this blog site there a handful of commenters that call it a Pro-BJP site. Some add humour by calling it a ‘BJP-funded’ blog. To me, this suggests that these commenters probably do not work in a media outlet or have little or no understanding of how media houses work. And this is not in any way to suggest that all other commenters do. If funding or profit was the only motive for a political blog the only sensible thing to do would be run a Pro-Congress blog. I guarantee you the returns can be handsome. But then again this is not a political blog. If it were, the title and tag line of the blog would have been very different. In the previous post one commenter summed it up stating “…any criticism of the media is pro BJP and anti-Congress. So criticism of media=criticism of Congress?”. This is what has become the mantra of Congress sympathisers. They have been consumed so much by Paidmedia, they are no more able to distinguish the party from much of the media itself. So what’s it all about? Well, there are many gangs in India and this blog is dedicated to just one gang – The media. Lately, the choice of the media to describe such gangs is “Mafia” so let’s begin with some minor understanding of the mafia.

Originally, to be a Mafiosi you had to be of Sicilian origin. In foreign lands the term ‘Paisan’ is also used to describe Italian, Sicilian descendants who could be part of the mafia. The mafia then is a network of many bosses controlling many different turfs and activities. We call it crime, they call it business. And the businesses extend from smuggling, extortion, match-fixing, gambling and so on. Each turf is headed by a ‘Made-man’ who is the local boss. Only a Sicilian or Italian can be a boss. His foot soldiers (who could be of any race) are known as ‘Wiseguys’ (or fashionably ‘Goodfellas’). It’s the wiseguys who do most of the dirty work. So just as after Watergate almost every scandal is suffixed with ‘Gate’ every gang has come to be termed mafia, at least in India.

Our media has successfully tagged every such gang as mafia. So you have Land mafia, Mining mafia, Liquor mafia, Timber mafia, Corporate mafia, Trade mafia, Fake-currency mafia and the list can go on and on. They usually leave out two mafias. Both are bedfellows. One is the political mafia and the other, even more dangerous one, is the Media Mafia. Look deep into our media. You will find extortion, blackmail, murder, connections with anti-national elements, black money. Everything you can associate with a regular mafia you will find in equal measure in the media too. But since they claim to be ‘God’s own messengers’ they will never expose their own mafia.

Every mafia thrives on a few specific sources of income, what’s that for the media mafia? Advertising and through that revenue the power to influence opinions! Circulation, viewership may help the ad rates but they don’t directly generate great revenues. And so this mafia came up with the great idea of paid news too. Earlier, in the print media the art was to bring out spurious supplements which may look like a casual entertaining read but were actually ‘Paid for’ supplements. Now that art has taken the form of great scientific methodology. Take even Bollywood! Every movie release has a scientific methodology to it. Or even ever wondered why Ram Gopal Verma’s movies are trashed in the media even weeks before release?

Now, let’s come back to the question of why any anti-media article or site invariably appears to be anti-Congress. No need for a history class but India has long been ruled by the Congress, and still is, and therefore the greatest income source. Don’t be under the illusion that the corporate world alone is a great ad revenue source. In the past most print media would find it hard to even survive without govt ads and most of them had a person dedicated to dealing with the govt ad department (The DAVP or the State Information Depts.). Now add to that all the PSUs, the various govt. bodies (like PWD, Municipality, Water resources etc.).  Aha you say! It is bigger than any corporate segment and bigger than the land and mining mafias. Yes indeed, it is so damn lucrative that in most states almost every political party has its own media outlet. Yep, even the Congress in some states. Surprisingly, it's only the BJP that doesn't have one yet. 

So you’d ask if it’s all about govt doles why Congress alone? Let’s take Indian Express for instance. This once strongly anti-establishment newspaper is now a big Congress mouthpiece. Why? Because internal divisions and competition has more or less threatened its existence. It survives. And how do you think it does? Now if there were a BJP or some other govt at the centre yes there would be dole outs too but with the Congress the dole outs can be extra-ordinarily disproportionate. How do you explain Shobana Bhartiya being an RS member? Do you expect her Hindustan Times to be fair and balanced? HT has another extension – NDTV. They are linked by the informal association of their editors who appear in each other’s media outlet. How do you explain a financial disaster such as NDTV still on air? How do you explain a consistent loss making CNN-IBN still on air? (Only recently they’ve been bailed out by Reliance).

A media house like Hindustan Times or NDTV having a bias in favour of Congress is not a crime. It is when most of the national media outlets have a severe bias in favour of Congress that it becomes a MAFIA. And it is true that most of the media outlets have become a Congress mouthpiece. The recent elections and coverage of politicians would tell you enough. It is when their bias leads them to commit crimes by spreading untruths, fake reports, excessive spin, fake and fixed debates and even utter lies against the opposition and other parties that blogs like these are born. This mafia has found a very profitable equation with the Congress at the centre. Why would they want to change that, eh? In fact, they will do their best to ensure there is more of Congress in as many states as possible. Isn’t that why all the scams of YSR and Jagan Reddy are only coming out after the former’s death and the latter’s quitting the Congress? Now wait for the Gujarat elections where it’s a clear BJP V Congress fight. Watch how many lies and spins will show up.

Okay, so how else does it profit to be a mafia in league with Congress? List all the names: Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and all the deaths and anniversaries and every major project launches after their names. Where do you think the huge ad and media spend goes? And to all of this, just add ‘Paidnews’. How does it make it profitable to be a mouthpiece for anyone but the Congress? So just like the mafia bosses our editors guard their turf and have regular meetings all together. Secret meetings! The last such opportunity would have been the very SECRETIVE RahulGandhi-‘Off the record’ breakfast meet. Their ‘wiseguys’ are on the field, on the ground and extend the bosses’ work. How do you explain the now commonly used term ‘Hit-job’ in relation to articles by journos? That’s a mafia term, isn’t it? Wait a few years it will be properly known as a "Whack-job"!

In December 2011 Umesh Agarwal premiered his documentary on Paid News under an event of Moneylife (edited by Sucheta Dalal). This documentary titled “The open frame” is now on youtube and other sites going by the name “Brokering news”. Although limited in its effort one must commend the effort of the producers and the director. Do watch the video below:

The documentary does not touch upon the ‘mafia’ like work of the media for very obvious reasons. (It was produced in association with Prasar Bharti). Here’s what Umesh Agarwal had to say after the premiere: “Every aspect of news be it political, business, sports or entertainment had a price tag. Even panel discussions on an important national issue were ‘fixed”. Guests were invited to give the discussion a particular slant. Selection of guests wasn’t dictated by the editorial policy of the group but there were other considerations”.

The 'Made-guy' is free to kill anyone, anytime, even the wiseguys. But no one can kill the Made-Guy unless a majority of all the bosses approve. Does that explain how and why many of our editorialists continue to hold their jobs despite their crimes? 

And that is that! Next time you hear an anchor or an editorialist mentioning the word Mafia just imagine, it could be the media's ‘Wiseguy’ or ‘Made-guy’. It's simply India's biggest mafia talking to you.
