The Unintellectual Moron

Intellectual is not a “self-bestowed” title. Real intellectuals don’t even describe themselves as such. It is usually others who recognise their body of work and contribution to society and call them intellectuals. In India, for long, you couldn’t be called an intellectual unless you were a Commie and part of the Nehruvian Tabela of Delhi. You can even lobby to be called an intellectual, just as many lobby for Padma awards. Of course, grovelling will be involved. Then, you will have to become the member of India International Centre (IIC) or frequent it often enough to become part of the gossip circuit. I can tell you this though, I was once invited to IIC for lunch by some folks. I swear, the whole place reeks of intellectuals. As an added bonus, I guarantee you will find the sweetest smelling people on earth at IIC. Even those in kurta-pyjama and beards will smell sweet.

I don’t know the brands but maybe from Revlon to Kaajal you will find all kinds of lipstick, face-powder, mascara and what not. By the way, getting a membership to IIC is not easy. It is tougher than getting into IIMA or Harvard. It is harder than conquering the 36 chambers of Shaolin. I’m not kidding, just read this in BS India, even the Lutyens elite have to stand in Q. So you can imagine the delight of Ramachandra Guha when he finally got a membership at IIC. He must have been thrilled like a little kid and earned a right to be called an intellectual. I think this was around 2013 but that doesn’t matter. I had only known RG as a cricket statistician who also wrote some cricket stuff. But now he had become an intellectual at par with Sagarika Ghose, Robert Vadra, Barkha Dutt, Saba Naqvi and others in the Lutyens circuit.

The first time I read something RG wrote was when he visited Ahmedabad for a day. All that I found was garbage from the first para to the last. RG sees one sign-board in Ahmedabad and goes on a rant against Narendra Modi – calling him delusional, megalomaniac and what not. That’s when I coined the term “Distortian” for him. RG is no historian. He is a prejudiced writer of original, unadulterated bullcrap:

That was six years ago! The only thing that has changed since then is that Modi is triumphed all these fools and become PM and Guha is still desperate to be recognised as an intellectual. Grovelling through Lutyens with friends like Rajdeep, Sagarika and many others, Guha learned a trick. He would go around calling everyone he knew an intellectual with the hope of reciprocity. I’m serious, the number of times RG uses the word “intellectual” in a day would simply stun you. Not a day passes when he can write a sentence or tweet without the word. I can list hundreds of tweets but just sample this:

The tweets may not be clearly legible but that’s not my objective. Just observe the number of times RG mentions “intellectual” in red-underlines. Morning, noon, night, sunrise – RG simply chants “intellectual, intellectual, intellectual, intellectual” as if his bladder is constantly under pressure. Guha calls all of his friends “intellectual”. It’s not even scratching backs anymore – I call you intellectual, you call me intellectual back. Commie Pigs like Guha have abused and trashed Modi for over a dozen years and have still failed to dent his success or popularity. Guha is such a moron that he doesn’t know what he blabbers half the time. Let’s look at some intellectual moronery:

So, in 2011, Modi was delusional and a megalomaniac according to Guha. Now, Modi becomes “CM of action” during his tenure in Gujarat once he is PM. As PM Modi is now in an image makeover mode for self-promotion. I don’t know what more promotion Modi needs when the entire media and country hears his every utterance and speech. The media dissects every syllable he utters. Even international leaders have his attention. As gently as a snake, Guha now shifts to finding new subtle ways of saying Modi as PM is not the action guy he was in Gujarat. But back then Modi was just delusional. Okay? Such is the foolish desperation of Guha, that he attributes the Kashmir problems to the “Gaurakshak” issue:

I wonder if Guha has brains in his head or fruit-salad. This is why the book “Intellectual Morons” had to be written by someone (check the links that follow). In the past, I have identified Amartya Sen as “India’s biggest intellectual moron” and the late Dileep Padgaonkar as “The second biggest”. These IMs buy and sell the dumbest of ideas that ordinary “Drivers, Panwallas & Sabjiwallas” would laugh at. Their only claim to being an “intellectual” is through political connections and a lot of grovelling. Common sense is alien to these pretenders and glorified idiots. So, what does pretender Ram Guha come up with next? Here you go:

So, Modi govt is the most “anti-intellectual”. Now, who could come up with such crap except a Guha? What he means is that unless the same slimy Commie Pigs are appointed to various boards, institutions and positions of influence any govt would be anti-intellectual. Only these Lutyens Crawlers and IIC Lipstick guys can decide who’s an intellectual and who is fit for what post or responsibility. And limitlessly, Guha has also claimed that ModiSarkar has suppressed FoE. These guys rant, rave and abuse Modi almost by the hour and yet whine like a bunch of chickens stuck in a cage. Reality is as far removed for Commies as the Russian language is from the Tamil language. But Guha finally gives in and knows he cannot escape the inevitable. That Modi has not only surpassed various tests but has slaughtered the Sickulars electorally. What do we do? Let’s protect our Commie Prima Donnas! And thusly comes the latest, subtle stupidity by Guha:

Guha throws in the towel and declares “Modi is set to be the 3rd most successful PM after Nehru and Indira”. Clever, eh? So, when you can’t beat Modi anymore, especially after the electoral results in March 2017, Guha protects his darling Nehru as No.1, Indira as No.2 and generously allows Modi a 3rd place in history. Laughable CLOWN! There is just one flaw here – Modi is not history yet. Modi’s legacy cannot be judged or written yet. The cunning Commie that Guha is, he also forgets another thing. Nehru was PM some 17 years straight. Indira was PM some 15 years in two stints. In contrast, Modi hasn’t been PM for three years yet. So this nonsense is only to pre-empt Modi from being recognised as the most daring and successful PM yet. Nehru was the most unimaginative failure as PM and I don’t intend to write more on him. As for Indira, she had her strengths but was a despot and the stain of Emergency disqualifies her from any recognition in a democracy. Indira also justified corruption as a universal phenomenon. Even anti-Congress people recognise as PV Narasimha Rao as a more successful PM than Nehru or Indira.

I wanted to rate Ramachandra Guha as “India’s 3rd biggest intellectual moron”. But I realise that he doesn’t qualify. He’s a mere pen-pusher and a Lutyens Crawler with the intellect that matches that of Sagarika. Modi has yet this term to finish and may get another term. I believe by the time he finishes as PM he might end up being rated as the most daring and successful PM of India so far. Guha and his Commie Pigs cannot defend their darling Nehrus and Indiras anymore. Guha is no intellectual. He’s just low down trickster that the media gladly peddles as “celebrated historian”. To me, Guha is nothing but an unintellectual moron.

Dileep Padgaonkar - India's 2nd Biggest Intellectual Moron

(This is a MaxiPost)

I consider it a serious insult if someone calls me an “intellectual” in our political context. I have come to loathe that description over the years. Gin-soaked in their Leftist ideology, nothing is real to them. People who think differently or people who demonstrate some common sense are a hindrance to their way of life and their politics. If only they could kill all such people who stand in their way, as the Commies in Bengal do, their life would have been one large cup of joy. Unfortunately, we do happen to exist and that does bother them immensely. Take a look at this:

Why do well-educated anti-war activists call the president of the United States “the new Hitler” and argue that the U.S. government orchestrated the September 11 attacks? Why does the Princeton professor known as the father of the animal rights movement object to humans eating animals but not to humans having sex with them—and why does PETA defend that position? In other words, why do smart people fall for stupid ideas? The answer, Daniel J. Flynn reveals in Intellectual Morons, is ideology. Flynn, the author of Why the Left Hates America, shows how people can be so blinded to reality by the causes they serve that they espouse bizarre, sometimes ridiculous, and often dangerous positions. The most influential social movements have spawned ideologues who do not care whether an idea is good or bad, true or false, but only whether it can serve their cause. It is startling how many Americans—and particularly how many media, academic, and political elites—fall for bad ideas. The trouble is, their lies become institutionalized as truth, and we all suffer as a result. How our universities have become hothouses of leftist ideology. How historians and journalists have airbrushed history to turn a racial separatist into a civil rights icon.

All that sounds familiar? Hitler? Airbrushing history? Universities cramped with Leftist ideology? That’s from the book “Intellectual Morons” in the pic above. Hmm… I had some time back recommended the book “How India’s intellectuals spread lies” by Ravishankar Kapoor. He doesn’t call the Leftists intellectuals morons but explains how they float terrible theories and notions which are passed off as gospel by our Commie media. Kapoor’s book in India is closest to “Intellectual Morons” by Daniel Flynn. The book explains how people like Nehru, Chidambaram, Mani Aiyar, Kuldip Nayar, Arundhati Roy and others spread lies and bogus theories to serve their own causes. There is a particular case of Suzy Roy that is hilarious to say the least. She recalls the Pokhran nuclear test of 1974 by Indira Gandhi and that it was followed by the Emergency in 1975. Therefore, she argues, in one of her 108786-word articles in Outlook Magazine of the past, that AB Vajpayee’s 1998 nuclear test would also be followed by Emergency. Oh yes, she’s an intellectual for our media. The only difference between the American and Indian intellectual morons is that they are uniformly anti-Hindu.

Surprisingly, such a long-time IM has been off the radar and he travels by the name of Dileep Padgaonkar (DP). He was the editor of TOI during the time TOI’s owners made the editor a worthless piece of furniture. Post-elections 2014 DP has had a sudden attack of conscience or he is being playfully sarcastic but he wrote his confession blog on May 30 (A missive to distraught liberals). It’s open defecation. Err… I mean like an open letter, which is the flavour of the season since Modi became PM. And he writes it to some imaginary “sentinels”. Here are some excerpts:

Dear Sentinels of the Republic,
We goofed. Every assumption we made during the election campaign has been savaged. Each one was premised on the values we cherish — freedom, justice and fraternity. Yet all that we did to promote them was to create fear in the minds of voters: fear of Hindu nationalists gaining control of levers of the state… We also reckoned that BJP-led NDA would fail to reach the halfway mark. This would compel it to rope in ‘secular’ non-Congress, non-Left regional parties to take a shot at governance. The latter, we took for granted, would extract their pound of flesh: deny Narendra Modi any role in the new dispensation.

Towards this goal we added our two-penny bit. We missed no chance to harp on Modi’s RSS background. Time and again we raked up the 2002 violence in Gujarat. We pooh-poohed the ‘clean chit’ the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team and a lower court in Ahmedabad had given Modi. We picked gaping holes in his much-vaunted development model. And when this was not enough to corner BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, we latched on to Snoopgate. On all these counts, we came a cropper. So why did we lose the plot? The plain answer is that we misread the nation’s mood. We didn’t gauge the depth and sweep of the rage against UPA. The dread possibility of ‘communal’ forces coming to power, we believed, would override all other concerns of the electorate, including the lacklustre leadership of the UPA government and of Rahul Gandhi, Congress’s undeclared mascot… At the same time, we must not lower our vigil to ensure that casteist, communal, sexist, hyper-nationalist and regional chauvinist forces of all shades do not threaten the fundamental rights of citizens. These rights are the foundation on which rests the edifice of our Republic. And we remain its steadfast sentinels.

On the face of it that looks like a confession but when read closely it’s more of regret and bile on having failed to stop Modi. And like the typical coward DP uses “WE”. Who is WE? Why not “I”? Why not admit “I” was wilfully blind? DP dreamed that BJP wouldn’t reach the half-way mark so that there’s a hung parliament and that would at least leave a door open for the Congress to somehow worm its way in or have a powerless govt which will allow scumbags like him to still roam its corridors to curry favours. A true confession by DP would have said he is a pathetic ass-licker of the Congress and Gandhi family. That would have been honest. And sentinels? If DP and his clan of bootlickers were truly sentinels would this country have come to such a pass under Congress-UPA? Would they have indulged in so much corruption and destroyed so many institutions? I doubt a coward like DP has ever questioned SoniaG considering he chose luxury assignments from the govt (as Kashmir interlocutor). Since when do sentinels accept assignments from a corrupt govt? See the line I have underlined in the excerpt. The IM also expects people to be idiots to overlook all the terrible misdeeds of Congress in the misbelief that “communal forces” will come to power. By what logic or reason does he conclude BJP is a “communal” force? Just because all the fake secularists say so? The media will use the same terms that political opponents use to describe parties?

Since when is seeking to remove Article 370 or seeking a uniform civil code communal? Since when is seeking a Ram Temple communal? This is the idea and language of intellectual morons. When they don’t get their way, their language becomes even more colourful. On August 15, 2013 when Modi made a speech after the PM and made comparisons this is what DP had to say (Read his blog):

The tenor and tone of Manmohan Singh's address were in keeping with the office he holds. Those of Modi were akin to the rants of Hyde Park cranks or, better still, to the often obscene fulminations of Bal Thackeray at Mumbai's Shivaji Park or those of Akbaruddin Owasi in Hyderabad. Indeed, there are times when you detect disturbing similarities between the oratorical style of Modi and, Heaven forbid, of Hafiz Saeed: the same venom, the same conceit of a Saviour-in-waiting, the same promise of redemption from enemies. The result is that even when Modi makes sense - which he does once in a while - he goofs”.

Hyde Park cranks? Akbaruddin Owaisi? Hafiz Saeed? What level of hatred can make Padgaonkar draw such comparisons? You may dislike or hate Modi and you’re free to lampoon him (DP argues Modi makes sense only once in a while). You may not like the fact that Modi made a speech and compared it with the PM or whatever your problem is but you would equate a democratically elected CM with a wanted terrorist like Saeed? But, of course, DP is an intellectual. You see, he was such a gullible “useful idiot” that even the ISI had identified him as a tool to be used by Ghulam Nabi Fai, who is now in prison in the US. So Saeed plays with the ISI team and DP gets used for the ISI indirectly. Who is the anti-national? Who has more in common with Hafiz Saeed? When they spew nonsense they forget to look at their own deeds. There are many such IMs who are “useful idiots” for ISI and other enemies of the State. Oh, in case you tried the link to the article above, it has disappeared from the TOI pages. But you can read DP’s garbage in this cache here. When your mind is preoccupied with so much filth how do you expect to read what people are thinking? When the UK moved to re-establishes ties with Gujarat and Modi, DP couldn’t help pouring more scorn:

Some might be tempted to compare the British government’s decision to reach out to Modi to prime minister Neville Chamberlain’s infamous Munich Pact in 1938. The appeasement of Hitler, ostensibly to ensure that he would be content to subdue the Czechs and spare Europe a devastating war, came a cropper. But to describe Narendra Modi as a Hitler, or to argue that David Cameron has acted like Chamberlain, or to suggest that today’s Gujarat can even remotely be compared to Nazi Germany is not very enlightening. Such comparisons are worse than odious: they are misleading. What however the changed stance of the British government does suggest is a certain continuity in its foreign policy approach. It is Adam Smith who summed it up in ‘The Wealth of Nations’: ‘To found a great empire for the sole purpose of raising up a people of customers may at first sight appear as a project fit only for a nation of shop-keepers. It is, however, a project altogether unfit for a nation of shop-keepers; but extremely fit for a nation whose government is influenced by shop-keepers.

The intellectual trickery of DP is to first make the comparison with Hitler and then cleverly suggest it’s not very enlightening. I make the comparison and then imply others are doing it and it’s not a great argument. Not just that, DP ends up ridiculing the British govt for its actions. That is not a problem; you can ridicule them if you want. But it NEVER occurs to this IM that the British action in boycotting Gujarat or Modi in the first place itself was WRONG. All his eloquent crap is spent on ridiculing the UK but I wonder if DP ever wrote an article criticising the UK for boycotting a state in India for reasons based on the same hateful campaign that people like him had run. Today Modi is PM; would these same IMs seek UK or USA to boycott India? Such is level of their intellectual moronery. They had no clue that their behaviour was as bad as traitors and anti-nationals.

Some of our IMs speak, write and act in a manner that we have to now question what exactly their motivation is and who motivates them with what. Someone reminded me of this quote of Cicero yesterday:

We put these editors on a pedestal and respected them a long time. Events and discourses have proved they neither deserved nor earned such respect. They aren’t even half as bright as the ordinary people who vote. The kind of lies, filth and hatred they brought to the public domain with their writings and utterances is unmatched in our history. Dileep Padgaonkar once grandly quoted that he held the second most important job in the country after the prime minister. In the past few years he has proved he is the second biggest intellectual moron in the country. He should be looking after Number One.

Getting Back To Our Roots

(This is a MaxiPost)

India now has been declared a “Polio-free” country. It is a fantastic achievement. We owe a small debt to Dr. Jonas Salk who created the polio vaccine. Salk could have made millions with his vaccine but he did not. He didn’t even patent it and famously said "There is no patent; could you patent the sun?" although many other reasons are cited for the vaccine not being patented. Salk was the son of poor, uneducated Jewish parents who wanted their children to get the best education and prosper. There are many good things that have come to us from the West and we should continue to borrow the best from their societies and cultures. But there are a few thousands of people who have borrowed the worst from the West and have constantly looked down up Indians as low-class citizens, particularly Hindus. These are just a few thousands but they are the worst scumbags and scumbaginis in Indian society. Some of them aren’t even Indian anymore. They come mostly from politics, the news media and also an assorted bunch of Commies who pass themselves off as “intellectuals”. Under the Congress, which has ruled India for much of the last 67 years, these people have collectively damaged the Indian soul.

The recent movie “Argo” was quite successful. It’s a true (secret) story of the rescue of a few American Embassy employees from Iran in 1979. The other story is that many were hostages for over 400 days and were released only in the last week of Jimmy Carter’s presidency. There was a failed military attempt too by Carter to rescue them. The assassination of JFK, Vietnam war, Watergate, Iran crisis all led to low self-esteem for Americans. It turned around only after Ronald Reagan took over as President. Indians have gone through a similar phase in the last 10 years and maybe even before; particularly Hindus. Unemployment, terror attacks, LOC killings, sailors kidnapped, endless rapes, massive corruption, land-grab, minority appeasement and a general lack of direction. Even in such a situation the media morons and the “Intellectual morons” (IMs) wanted Congress to win and continue in govt. What explains this slavery? Only money, perks and zero accountability! They tried everything. They lied as much as they could. If they failed to read the churning on the ground, it is generally because they have no connection with ordinary Indians. Most of these people particularly loathed Hindus, their traditions, their customs and their society in general. Which is why Modi’s win signifies something spectacular as I tweeted:

The entire force ranged against Modi harped on the same fake secularism, doles, reservations and fear-mongering. The media criminals and the IMs heaped abuses on Modi. They called him Hitler, Fascist, Butcher, Polariser and all the choicest epithets their foreign education has taught them. They celebrated when the US foolishly banned Modi. Extreme morons who were in parliament even wrote to Obama to extend the ban. They used all these abusive names without the slightest qualm on how seriously they damaged the public discourse. The list of IMs is very long but here is a glimpse of some of the samples:

The first man in the top row was emailing his students trashing the Gujarat model as if he knew a damn thing about it. The second IM in that row threatened to leave India if Modi became PM. I hope the joker does leave and settle in Papua New Guinea. The filth that passes by the name of Mani Aiyar needs no elaboration. The last one in the image is an interesting character. Yogendra Yadav, allegedly a professor and researcher, showed us what this entire IM community really is. Full of filth! His utterances during his campaign, claiming India will burn if Modi becomes PM, was out in the open.  He even became the Muslim Salim for votes. The other IMs too would have been indulging in the same filth had they joined politics. Their true colours would have shown up. Far from their dooms-day threats it was Modi who carried his campaign with far more dignity and focus. All these IMs and political parties were busy abusing Modi but he was smart chasing votes. He got them! With undying energy and spirit Modi criss-crossed the country seeking a mandate. And now they can’t stomach the fact they have been proved to be fools and proved to be so wrong in their estimates.

There is this other IM, the queen of anti-India, anti-Hindu filth, who hates anything remotely connected with India or Hindutva. She has already declared (in a Paki newspaper) dooms-day and that the poor will rot in hell now that Modi is going to be PM and BJP in power. Totalitarian? Such stupid jargons are peddled with no reason or logic. Anyone who can write two sentences in flowery English and has been thrown some awards by the West is automatically an expert on India it seems. These are the termites in our society. One of the good things about the current turn of things is that such anti-national, anti-law idiots will not go unchallenged because the monopoly of the MSM is long over. They hate the Hindu society, they hate Hindu traditions. Some like the C5M even hate Hindu festivals. How things came to such a pass has its source in our Independence. Mahatma Gandhi fought to get rid of the British but made the grave error of installing Nehru as PM who wasn’t any different from the British in his thinking. Nehru in turn found Communism to be a more attractive ideology and that became the fountainhead for all the fraudsters roaming around as “intellectuals” in our society. I call them “Foreigners dressed as Indians”.

Dr Jakob De Roover is a researcher at the India Platform, Ghent University, Belgium and best narrates how this fraudulent group of intellectuals operate. I would add that this formed the vast “establishment” nurtured by years of Nehru-Gandhi govts. Here’s an excerpt from his article in Outlook:

Sadly, the average educated European is informed exclusively by one section of Indian society: the intellectuals and journalists who call themselves ‘secular’ and ‘progressive’. Now, this group is a product of centuries of colonial education and western hegemony. They preach old colonial stories about the moral corruption of India. This explains why they are so popular among western academics and journalists: these ‘native informants’ happily reproduce what the West has always thought about India and confirm the unscientific commonplaces about ‘Hinduism’ and ‘the caste system’ that are still sold as knowledge in western universities.

Inspired by Indian secularists, western commentators depict the BJP as an evil force, which will throw India into the dark ages. Some even agree that it concerns a ‘fascist’ party, as though this term can be bandied about like a cheap epithet. In reality, the BJP is a democratic party similar to many right-of-centre parties in Europe: combining a liberal socio-economic policy with the aim of reviving traditional culture. But, as is the case with nationalist parties in Europe, this aim unfortunately takes the form of retrograde nationalist rhetoric… We need the Europeans who are fascinated when they hear that we have completely misunderstood another culture and that we have major things to learn from India. It is this Europe that should now wake up and open her eyes to the new world of the 21st century. It is this Europe that will meet India anew and treat her like the sister she is.

Frankly, our media crooks and the “intellectual morons” are far more European and Americans than those people are. Add to that concoction a white Italian woman who first entered the corridors of power and then became queen herself. And since then the entire country has been turned into one big “Gandhiland”. A “fake-Gandhiland”! Streets, roads, central places, airports, projects, govt schemes, universities, bridges – everything became Gandhi. Most of it underserved. Read “The Gandhi Septology” on how this perversion of our culture has happened and how a country became branded in one single family’s name. The rest of the great Indians are idiots? And this is what the media crooks and IMs want more of?

While screaming “secular, secular, secular” what exactly have Congress and its clones been doing? For power and the freedom for corruption they have destroyed institutions and made policies driven by religion. Muslims! Muslims! Muslims! What about Muslim this, what about Muslim that? What will happen to Muslims? Will Muslims suffer? Why should Muslims deserve special treatment anyway? Sure, give all the benefits to the poor. Nobody will grudge that. Why special policies for Muslims or Christians or any community? If at all there has to be discussion on religious lines, it is time to ask what every religious community is doing for India and not the other way around.  And they talk about “divisive” politics? Every clone of the Congress is a branch of its termite-infested decaying body. SP, NCP, INLD all of them broke away to create their own private fiefdoms. How in the world are these parties and politicians uniting anyone?

In 1984 there were around 36 political parties in India and now there around 450. If not power and private fiefdoms what do the people heading many of these new parties want? In the last ten years there has been an extraordinary growth in Christian Missionary activities that lure poor people into conversion. This is a crime against the poor and, as in Gujarat, I hope that this nonsense of conversions will be banned and end the designs of the West to “Christianise” India. And the missionaries have the audacity to predict persecution of their church (Read here). I doubt Jesus will ever stand with these haters and fear-mongers.

As against that, the govt at the Centre and some states have been destroying sites of Hindu history, taking over temple management, taking control of temple wealth. Every crony of this establishment would have no problems if the Hinduism itself is wiped out. They want to burn the very philosophy and culture that nurtured them. They accuse Hindus of communalism when it is Hindus who have historically accommodated and absorbed foreigners, refugees and welcomed alien religions. They all know that if India is still secular it is because of Hindus and not otherwise. I don’t think Hindus want a “Hindu Rashtra” as these alarmists like to scream every now and then. Nobody is demanding the majority should dictate all policies. It is not just that this “establishment” trashes Hindu culture but the Commies have even falsified our history. Murderers have been glorified and patriots have been described as terrorists. All that must change. History cannot be altered but false history must be rectified.

Tomorrow Narendra Modi will be sworn in as the Prime Minister. What bothers some political parties, the fraudsters in our media and the IMs is that even the Muslims are not buying their nonsense anymore. They are hurling more abuses at him in frustration. They are even unwilling to accept the people’s verdict. We should borrow the best from the West. The fringe elements should stop complaining about frivolous Valentine cards or Beer bars. We can learn from Brazil and we can learn from Burkina Faso but the core of India and its Hindu culture must be restored. Govt must be removed from temples and autonomous state or national bodies by Hindus should be formed to oversee the management of temples. Hindu pilgrim sites should have the most modern facilities. False history must be rectified. Some posts back I explained the difference between a “fad” and a “trend” in marketing terms. Modi is not a “fad”, he is a “trend” that will last long. His determination for a “Congress-Mukt Bharat” will be underestimated only by fools. Mere hate-mongering hasn’t succeeded in the past and will not succeed in the future.

I borrow a lot from the West and even use it on these pages. But we are children of a great civilisation that forms our roots. Our parents, forefathers and many great warriors, saints and souls have invested in us. Many have died for us. Let me borrow from the West again and quote former American President John Quincy Adams: “We ARE, who we WERE”. We should be unwilling to let hate-mongers in politics, the media and the IMs destroy that investment. The Hindu anger coupled with a general anger by all communities against the Congress and its “Sickular” clones is what has given BJP and Modi a very decisive mandate. Only the wilfully blind will fail to recognise this. We cannot hope to survive as a nation and move forward by destroying our own roots. I am sure Narendra Modi remembers it more than anyone else as he takes over as PM.
