The End of Track-2 Brokers

There are certain countries with which you can never have peace or friendship. The objective simply has to be to avoid a major military conflict. The recent act of GOI calling off the Secretary level talks with Pakistan is a very welcome one. In January 2013 I wrote the post “No friendship with barbarians” after our Jawans were killed and their bodies mutilated. Pakistan is a country with no honour. I do not see any difference between the ISIS and Pakistan except that the latter’s army wears better clothes. And maybe some Pakis also speak English. I just have to repeat what I wrote at the end of that post again:

“I have stated before and say it again; peace with Pakistan is NOT possible. We need not wage war but there is no way a nation from which many have promised a 1000-year Jihad against India can ever be true friends. This is like expecting Iran to become a friend of Israel. Not happening! This sucking up to and molly-coddling Pakistan is just another feature of ‘Muslim vote-bank’ politics by our govt and nothing more. As far as our national interest is concerned Pak has nothing to offer; not even a small safety pin. For all our genuine gestures of goodwill we have only got barbaric acts in return. It’s time to dump this charade”.

Our media tends to forget the past and keep pressing for bogus dialogues with Pak. The reason for this is simple: The process will never reach a clear conclusion but some of our media crooks and some activists get to line their pockets and be beneficiaries of luxury junkets at the goodwill of their Pak masters. When Narendra Modi took over as PM he extended a goodwill gesture to all SAARC Heads and invited them to his swearing-in ceremony. This was extended to Nawaz Sharif too.

That gesture was blindly being read by many in the media as a thaw in relations. A goodwill gesture needs to be reciprocated. India agreed to secretary level talks scheduled on August 25. Instead of reciprocating the goodwill gesture the Pak envoy chose to organise a meeting with Kashmiri separatists on August 18 and 19. The Hurriyat and other separatists in Kashmir are being encouraged by Pak and this is clearly an unnecessary hindrance and hurdle. The Congress started kicking and screaming about it as did our media. They all screamed it was a bad gesture by Pakistan on the eve of scheduled talks. This is not the first time. Former Pak minister Hina Rabbani Khar also met the separatists on her official visit to India in 2011. How the Congis responded to the border-killings in January 2013 can be seen in the tweets of Barkha Dutt and a response to her. Do note the man in charge then was Salman Khurshid who said about the killings “we will absorb, we will analyse” and then take up the matter with Pakistan. The Congis did nothing. One of their ministers (Shashi Tharoor) was moderating a debate between Pak and Indian journalists the next day on “Track-2” diplomacy. So what is out-of-job Salman Khurshid doing now? Here’s the answer:

So this Salman Khurshid who was impotent as the External Affairs Minister realised he could do more with a bunch of media crooks and political pimps in a self-styled “Track-2” diplomacy effort. There’s Barkha Dutt, Sudheendra Kulkarni, Dileep Padgaonkar, Ved Pratap Vaidik (who also met Hafiz Saeed), Salman Khurshid and not in the picture is S. Varadarajan aka Varadabhai. The trip was organised by none other than Manishankar Aiyar, the automated filth generator. So while the Kashmiri separatists want Kashmir to break from India and/or accede to Pakistan these “Track-2” guys are no different from them. They too meet former Pak military personnel and assorted India-haters, who have connections with the ISI, with a mission unknown to the world. Dileep Padgaonkar, the Intellectual Moron, has also played a long innings for Ghulam Nabi Fai, another ISI funded crook. Some of these guys are now lecturing the Modi govt on how to deal with Pak. They are nothing more than brokers who earn their money from both parties to a deal. Why would they want peace? Do these brokers really think they are really helping any cause or are out to do any good? They just like the junkets, luxurious hotels (and other cash or incentives in kind?) in return for peddling the Pak line of dialogue. Varadabhai and another one called Shammy Baweja are upset that the GOI called of the talks over the Pak envoy fiddling with the separatists. Any surprise?

These guys don’t want the govt to work its own way through the troublesome relationship with Pakistan. They want their will to be imposed. The culture of alleged journalists playing the role of brokers and interlocutors started around 1999 and graduated under the Sonia Gandhi govt. It was a govt where NGOs, lobbyists and brokers decided more policies than the Prime Minister and his Cabinet. The change in govt is increasingly making them volatile and angry. Their brokerage and pimping business has come to a grinding halt. On one hand the Modi govt is not offering juicy titbits and gossip to the dead-beat hangers-on. Access journalism has taken a beating. And on the other, Modi doesn’t give two hoots to what the MSM says or thinks. He is quite aware they are irrelevant to the national discourse because people don’t trust the MSM anymore for honest discourse. Almost every observer knows there many prominent media celebs who are “useful idiots” for Pakistan and other anti-national forces. The grapevine is sometimes more reliable than the news and Delhi circles do get a feel of this as this snippet indicates:

The IB knows what observers in the public domain already know. People on Social Media know who these Pak agents in our media are. It has become all too obvious. Some of the spokies and separatists who appeared on Timesnow have their kids studying abroad. One has to wonder where they get all their money from. I don’t think the Kashmiris are fond of these separatists and are pouring money into their coffers. These separatists do not find any acceptance in elections either. So where do they get all their money from? Your guess is as good as mine. The only place they frequently find friends and sympathy is on NDTV and with Barkha Dutt. There cannot and should not be any talks with Pakistan till such time terrorism stops completely. There must be at least a period of one full year without any terrorism or LOC violations. Knowing Pakistan as we do, they cannot survive one month without violating such conditions. An independent writer puts it as bluntly as anyone can do:

Whether it is the separatists or the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits I am quite sure that Narendra Modi will act on it in due course. There are many problems India faces and Pakistan need not be anywhere on our priorities. That failed state has nothing to offer to us. They can keep meeting these separatists and the Track-2 brokers and jokers. We now have a govt we can trust to prioritise national interest than pandering to the interests of these brokers or mollycoddling Pakistan. There is a PM who makes the decisions not some puppet on a string. Pakistan too will get that message sooner than later. 

Modi's Speech - Valufacturing & Couch Potatoes

In every company across the world that has been around for a long time there are invariably a few pessimists and shirkers. In comes a new boss or a new department head and he is full of energy and spirit. He wants to change things for the better. He wants dramatic change in performance. The battle-scarred losers will tell him “don’t try all this, people have tried before and they have failed”. Some will tell him “there have been many before you and we have seen it all”. If the new boss persists they will gossip among themselves and tell others, including the good ones “Theek hai, karke dekh lene do, ek saal baad akal thikane aa jayega”. In short, they try to bring down everyone with positive energy who seeks dramatic changes for the better. They will work to ensure they are proved right and do everything possible to ensure the new boss fails. Our govts are no different.

The govts at the Centre and States are full of people who don’t want their “comfortable” life to be upset. They want the “Congress-life” of lethargy, poor customer service and corruption to continue. It is a way of life for them. When Narendra Modi talks about the attitude of “Mera kya” or “What’s in it for me” he is actually translating a popular Gujarati business phenomenon of “Maru shu”? In other words, I don’t care unless there is something in it for me. That may be good for a business transaction at an individual level but not when people in general can contribute something to the nation. In his I-Day speech these are the problems in govt that Modi talked about. That there are govts within the govt that are operating at cross purposes. Predictably, the pessimistic ones from the media and, of course, the Congress couldn’t see anything positive about Modi’s speech, his vision or his attention to key issues that touch the lives of people. They are used to grandiose BS like “Garibi Hatao” or “Aam Aadmi” bluster.

After a decade of a puppet on a string, hiding behind a glass box and reading in reverse from Urdu texts we have a Prime Minister who talks from the heart and talks extempore. Sure, Modi had cue-cards for the topics to talk about but he didn’t read from a pre-printed speech. That is another problem the media folks faced. They weren’t given any copy of the speech in advance because there was no advance copy. Nobody had a clue what Modi was going to talk about. It is only natural that even in a speech of nearly an hour, no one can touch upon all the issues that concern India. Therefore, the right thing to do would be to talk about what he did say. And Modi did touch upon many issues from toilets to sons being more responsible to avoid crimes. He talked about cleanliness and hygiene. These are things that affect every citizen. He talked mostly about things that are clearly within the control of each citizen which does not take rocket science to do. He talked to the “people” directly and not to the usual “Durbaris” and useless “Pundits” to seek any applause from them. Some of the problems he talked about can be eradicated just as the nation eradicated Polio and Small Pox. A new generation may not even have heard of small pox of which many people have died in the past or have suffered permanent blindness. One of the most important slogans from the speech is “Make in India”.

On the face of it “make in India” seems a pretty ordinary slogan but it is a powerful invitation to the world to come and produce goods here but sell anywhere they want. Let me narrate a small story; let’s become “couch-potatoes” for a few minutes. When the fast food operators came to India they found that we were mostly producing the regular potatoes that had a lot of moisture in it. French fries that are available in Mac’s or other similar outlets need potatoes with negligible moisture to be crisp and crunchy. On the highway between Ahmedabad and Mehsana if one is observant they will find this factory which is an international brand but the factory is not prominent by itself:

That’s the plant of McCain. What’s the story? To produce the variety of potatoes that are most suitable for French fries they selected the Mehsana region for a variety of reasons. The French fries use a potato-variety called “Shepody” which is long potato which negligible moisture. The farmers in and around Mehsana were taught about it and started growing the variety some years ago. They feed their stocks to McCain who then process those and feed the material to almost all the French fries outlets across India. Apart from India McCain now also exports this product to many other countries. It is a huge industry by itself. Growing the new breed of the same old potato brings a lot of employment to many farmers and others in the entire manufacturing and supply system. You could call it “Valufacturing” instead of mere manufacturing. It’s a product we already knew from childhood but it’s a different variety and it brings opportunities for a whole lot of people. The innocuous “make in India” must be taken seriously for other reasons too. Here’s some data I found on Twitter a few days back:

I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the data but let’s take it as a broad indicator. It doesn’t need Einstein to see that we are pathetic where manufacturing sector is concerned. That this needs a dramatic change will not take a flash light to see. Most of the experts who discussed Modi’s speech somehow comfortably did not relate the “make in India” to this serious problem. The low manufacturing activity can be directly related to unemployment. Unemployment leads to vices. Unemployment leads to social unrest and sometimes temptation to crimes. Unemployment leads to mass migration.

There is a history to all of this if we look carefully. The US has always been a master at “branding” and marketing. If I ask you to name 10 famous brands from the US, I am sure anyone would be able to recall them. But try naming 10 Chinese brands that are internationally known. Can we? It is hard to do. Try naming 10 Indian brands internationally known. Can we? Of course, we have a combination of a Chinese-Indian brand that is internationally known; the “Chinese Gandhis”. But jokes apart, this is worth pondering about. People can reel out names: Microsoft, Apple, IBM, Nike, McDonalds and so on. Garments in the US are invariably made in Taiwan or even Cambodia. Given our resources and population we could have been a manufacturing giant without sacrificing our advantages in other sectors. A dramatic upward change in our industrial manufacturing output is inevitable and a must for our economic growth. The Chinese are no good at branding or marketing but they have become the manufacturing hub for the world and at rock bottom prices. No one understands this better than Narendra Modi who comes from the highly industrialised state of Gujarat.

If we have failed to realise our potential as a manufacturing giant it is solely due to the Commie policies of the Congress.  There is no difference between Congress and the Commies who have kept people poor, uneducated, unskilled and unemployable. Modi stresses on skills and that is absolutely a must for us to become a manufacturing giant and also self-employment at the individual level. The new govt has already initiated steps for labour-law reforms which are essential for the manufacturing investment and growth. A dramatic growth in manufacturing also brings along with it a huge R&D set-up and the continuous process of innovation and value addition. So it’s not mere manufacturing but “Valufacturing” by a whole nation. This particular issue in Modi’s address has been undervalued by the debaters in the media in preference of many other issues.

Modi also made a call to a 10-year moratorium on riots and violence. Most of the usual pundits have interpreted this badly as postponing justice or avoiding tackling the issue. It is neither of this. A 10 year moratorium by various groups automatically implies that if they shun violence for that period it automatically becomes a HABIT. A bad habit needs to be replaced by a good one. If that habit of violence goes it has the potential to become a permanent habit. If most of the rioters were gainfully employed elsewhere they wouldn’t want their life to be shattered by riots and violence. Religion can then take a back seat in the privacy of their homes. Modi’s speech is a good departure from the past and well-meaning citizens would see energy and spirit rather than the “comfort-seeking” veterans who want to keep India where it is. The couch-potatoes have had their day and belong in the past.  

Note: “Valufacture” is a term coined by Edward De Bono. Though Valufacture refers more to marketing, I have used for the manufacturing process through innovation as well.    

I-Day: Real Freedom From Sickulars

Last year this same day I wrote the post “I-Day – Mercury rising, so is Modi”. Ordinary folks could see his connect with the people. Only the wilfully blind and those swimming in the sewage of lies and deception continued to argue that Narendra Modi will never be PM. They hoped desperately that somehow a fractured mandate will bring their favourite Congress crooks and clones back to power. They believed their corrupt existence would continue to flourish. They were peddling all the worthless reasons why Modi cannot and will not be PM. Here are ten reasons offered by a shady article in India Today.

1. BJP needs 272 seats in Lok Sabha

3. With so much infighting in the house, how will Modi play his innings?

5. Party has no answers in Uttar Pradesh

The ones who wrote the article must find a black face when they look in the mirror. While I have quoted India Today, there is hardly any media house that did not write articles on the same lines. There is hardly any news channel that did not predict the political death of Modi. All their garbage has collected at the door of 10 Janpath. Let me quote some of my favourite lines from a movie. This is from the post “Rahul Gandhi – King of comedy”:

The following lines from the movie ‘The American President’ are some of my most favourite when it comes to describing gullible people:

An aide remarks in very harsh terms:  “…Mr. President, and in the absence of genuine leadership, they'll listen to anyone who steps up to the microphone. They want leadership. They're so thirsty for it they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water, they'll drink the sand”. To which the President responds: “We've had presidents who were beloved, who couldn't find a coherent sentence with two hands and a flashlight. People don't drink the sand because they're thirsty. They drink the sand because they don't know the difference”.

What happened in 2014 is historic. It is the first time in our 67 years of journey as an independent nation that the people refused to drink the sand anymore. They were sick and tired of fake promises, fake secularism and the Himalayan corruption and loot of this country’s wealth. It is the first time in our history that a party, other than Congress, has won a clear majority in the Lok Sabha. The losers didn’t learn any lessons. For years they have tried tainting Modi and the BJP as “communal” killers. It didn’t work. The Congress and Sonia Gandhi didn’t have any new ideas. The family comics like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra added to their comic value by stupid utterances and campaigns. Now the same SoniaG, at the pits of her political career, wants to fight back with victimhood and the same campaign of “BJP is communal”. Some people are incapable of learning. You can take pigs to the greatest 5 star hotel in the country but I assure you, they will still find their way to the garbage dump at the hotel. It’s not a fault in the pigs. It’s their very nature. It’s their way of survival. Having received a thrashing, SoniaG now unites with two other arch rivals for the Bihar polls. Someone painted this moronic alliance appropriately:

Their agenda is not based on what they will do for the Biharis. It will be the same old worn-out caste equations and more than that it is a “Coalition of the anti-Modi” forces. Having realised they have nothing to throw at Modi anymore their only chant is “Communal, Communal, Communal” like I said in a recent post “Synchronised Communal Chorus”. This chorus is orchestrated by Congress and its Commie clones and media pimps like Arnab Goswami and Barkha Dutt. They are supported from the outside by fallen pimps like Rajdeep Sardesai & Co. The moment someone mentions Hindu, Hindutva or Hindustan the pants of these guys catch fire. Here’s what RSS Head Mohan Bhagwat said recently which was enough to send them into a frenzy again:

The media and the Sickular parties started raging that India is not a “Hindu nation” and these statements are intended to create communal tension and polarise. In a general, historic and cultural sense there is nothing wrong in saying residents of Hindustan are Hindus. But the very terms Hindu, Hindutva or Hindustan has now become evil for them. And morons like Manish Tewari and Arnab Goswami foolishly argue that our Constitution doesn’t say “Hindustan” so Hindustan in principle does not exist. Sure, they agree our Constitution recognises Bharat. You know, Bharat is named so after the famous Arabian king who once ruled Messopotamus. So Bharat is not “Hindu” according to these idiots. You might wonder where Yankistan is since some people on earth are called Yankees. A Constitution offers a legal view of the existence of a state which need not be the same as its cultural existence. There is no Kathiyawar in India’s map anymore but the Gujjus of the Saurashtra region are still called Kathiyawadis. But these stupid discussions aren’t because the claims of Hindutva or Hindustan by a few people really offend anyone; it’s again to protect our sensitive Muslims from being offended being tagged as having Hindu origins. What’s the big deal? Let’s concede Indian Muslims are not of Hindu origin but maybe from Africa or Papua New Guinea if that makes them happy.

Since the elections there is a massive campaign against the BJP and Modi tarring them as communal and instigating communal riots in UP and other places in India. National Comedian Rahul Gandhi jumped into the well of the LS and demanded a discussion on it. The chorus is to tar the new govt a bit more as communal and demand that the “Communal violence bill” (a pet project of anti-Hindu Congress) is tabled and somehow pass it when it couldn’t pass even when its perpetrators were in power. Each I-Day I think about a decisive speech that would turn the corner and put out truth in the bluntest and most unpalatable manner for these hate-mongers. They got lucky! This time, the BJP found a man who launched the most scathing attack on the real communalists. He spoke the truths that were being discussed on SM for long. To say that he stripped Sonia, Rahul, Congis and people like Arnab and Barkha of all their clothes and right down to their bones would be an understatement. Here’s Yogi Adityanath of BJP in the LS on August 13 (19.43 mins. I have deleted interruptions to keep the video to relevant parts):

In about 20 minutes flat Yogi Adityanath disrobed the entire Sickular community and the Fiberals in the media and had them running for cover. There is a point beyond which LIES cannot be tolerated and he made that abundantly clear to Congress, its clones and their media pimps. The Yogi did not leave any crime untouched. Bangladeshi illegals regularised, Assam, terrorists being sought to be released (Madani?), Azad Maidan, the attack on Baba Ramdev’s rally in June 2011, Sachar Committee, some people working as Pak agents, Saharanpur and the govt and Muslims’ unwillingness to accept court verdicts, Moradabad and the nonsense of why Masjids can have speakers but not temples. He stripped them bare enough to make the Full Monty look like a nursery story. Some media folks were rattled too and the iRudali simply didn’t know how to react and still whined that the Yogi shouldn’t have mentioned Pakistan (and that is her stupid grouse?):

The real communalists had no place to hide. They were the ones who wanted this discussion and now I am glad they did. Muslim appeasement has been pushed to such an extent that they have become intolerant of every other community. This is not a mere Indian feature among Muslims. Recent events in the Middle East or any country where Muslims have to live with other communities indicate clearly this is a universal problem among them about which they live in denial. I have to once again quote Karl Popper on this intolerance. The Hindus refuse to be taken for granted anymore:

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them… We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant. We should claim that any movement preaching intolerance places itself outside the law, and we should consider incitement to intolerance and persecution as criminal, in the same way as we should consider incitement to murder, or to kidnapping, or to the revival of the slave trade, as criminal.”

Where India is concerned, the Muslims cannot and should not be treated as a minority anymore. It is this status that keeps them on the boil. At anywhere between 17-20 crore Muslims in this country, they are more than the population of many Islamic countries and cannot be treated as a minority anymore. Someone in the future will have to show the guts (like Yogi Adityanath did yesterday) and delete them from the minorities list. Even the Muslim Minister Najma Heptullah agrees on this:

The Congress mocked Modi and claimed he will only give a speech from a fake Red Fort on August 15 this year. They and their sickular partners in politics and media have enough eggs on their face to keep Sagarika Ghose counting those all her life. Every I-Day we have had the same mundane speeches from politicians. Particularly boring and uninspiring were the speeches of last 10 years by MMS. This year we have already had the privilege of hearing a politically incorrect and blunt speech in the LS. For the morons who keep questioning our Hindu ancestry or Hindustan; there is a reason why we say “JAI HIND”. Tomorrow, one hopes another game-changing speech from Modi will educate them some more.
