The Varanasi Wake-Up Call

Media folks are supposed to have their ears close to the ground where politics is concerned. Some of them claim to be such big “experts” that they predict events instantly. Bad politicians take at least 2 years to taint themselves in corruption or misdeeds; some careful ones take 20. But in their quest to realise their own political agendas some media crooks wanted instant gratification without the patience to watch and observe. That’s what they did when Arvind Kejriwal and his AAP got a good number of seats in the Delhi election. They declared him the messiah. They declared him the man who would be king. Here’s the end part from the post “Polls 2013 - And the losers are…”

Immediately after the state results were declared on December 8, 2013 the MSM was thrilled that there was finally someone who could challenge Narendra Modi. The Gandhis have run aground. Arnab Goswami started off on December 9 with “Is AAP now a threat to Modi”? Others were rubbing their hands in glee in hope that AK will deal that final blow to Modi. None of the media pundits were willing to accept that not only is AAP a small player restricted to Delhi but also that the Delhi performance was helped by a corrupt Sheila Dikshit govt and the BJP’s sleeping beauties in Delhi. It also hinged on a lot of tall promises that AK made to the poorer section of voters. AK took oath as CM on December 28 and after 49 days of non-stop nonsense resigned with a fake excuse. Gone were his lofty claims of fighting corruption or prosecuting SheilaD and other corrupt politicians. AK turned out a moron who started believing the stupid stories in the media. He believed he was the David who was slated to slay the Goliath. Some in the media, particularly folks from AajTak, NDTV and the CNN-IBN group, spared no efforts to breast-feed AK into believing he is the royal baby who would be king. It was PM or nothing!

Well, you know the story since then; AK in Gujarat, ruckus all over, then violence by his thugs in Delhi, then Mumbai and Nagpur, more violence and nonsensical rants. Life goes on. Of course, in all this while he openly threatened Modi with a challenge from anywhere the latter contests the LS election. AK roared he would challenge Modi and show the world what a great hero he was. All this, till Modi’s candidature from Varanasi was announced. Naturally, someone had to test the waters for AK. He sought a poll from the locals in Varanasi to decide on his challenge but that is yet to happen. In the meantime the Macaulay Sisters from the unholy trinity in media, Barkha Dutt and Sagarika Ghose rushed to Varanasi to test the waters. They literally landed up on the Ganga waters. Let’s watch an edited excerpt from Barkha first (4.07 mins. There is a lag between video and audio and that’s from the NDTV site itself):

What Barkha really did was quickly run through a single street in Varanasi to seek opinions and then settle on the Ganga with two guys and a discussion with politicians in Delhi. Apparently, she didn’t hear what she would have liked to hear. Even in that one street she came across a former AK supporter (with the bike) who had sound advice for AK. He says “glass once shattered can’t be put back”. BD talks of religion, roads and so on but the former AK supporter clearly says AK has failed and should perform before seeking votes at Varanasi. Barkha pre-empts his sound-bite claiming “confused” supporter but the man seems in no confusion at all. Ordinary folks reflect this wisdom which seems to be missing the media folks all the time in their studios. The rest of the discourse is Hindutva or soft Hindutva and all that is usual monologue by BD. If Barkha was there, the other Macaulay twin had to follow. Here’s Sagarika Ghose (5.41 mins):

It is amazing that even folks in far-off Varanasi are talking of and desiring the Gujarat model; the model that some blind analysts and media folks like to trash as nonsense. It’s the very model that AK has been screaming about as rubbish. A lady makes a good point about a nearby town having an airstrip for private use but no railway station. That is something the Centre can solve even if not all the local problems. As for development and roads that both Barkha and Sagarika talk about, it is dependent more on the state and local govt. This is worth special attention because most of the Hindu pilgrim towns in India, especially in the north are in total disrepair. In contrast the southern Hindu pilgrim towns are far better maintained and managed. Whether it’s Varanasi or Rishikesh or Puri the Hindu pilgrim centres deliver a lot of money which can easily be ploughed back but the state govts seem to have different priorities when they should be making it as comfortable as possible for visitors and pilgrims.

The folks at Varanasi explain how their society is made up of small entrepreneurs and just need the support to perform well. That’s what they expect from Modi having heard the Gujarat story. When Sagarika tries to repeatedly rake up the “communal” agenda the people dismiss it as media propaganda. One hopes the blind people in the media learn from these voices. People are simply not buying the media propaganda. NDTV, CNN-IBN, TimesNow and the others have been trying very hard to paint the Varanasi choice of Modi as a “safe seat”. Except these morons everyone else seems to understand the political impact and implication of Modi’s choice. It wasn’t as if Modi would have lost from Lucknow or Kanpur or Patna but the choice makes the political statement he wants to make. And Modi is a politician first and not a stupid media anchor or panellist.

Read the last para from the first pic in this post. It recalls: “Arnab Goswami, acting like the regular circus clown, had a stupid question at his 6pm show on December 8: “Is AAP now a threat to Modi”? Well moron, get used to it! All of you are a threat to Modi including Congress, SP, JDU, RJD, RLD, DMK, CPM, AAP, Third Front, Fourth Umpire, CBI, Salma and Sabrina, IM, LeT, JuD and the Indian MSM collectively. He’s still standing. You’re the ones who have fallen to the pits”.  Oh yes, the “sickulars” are trying very hard to present a single candidate to represent their Army which is what the media folks have also been egging them to do. The Congress has even tried to put up Sachin Tendulkar to battle Modi. It’s good the cricket hero wisely declined. Elsewhere, more misdeeds of AK are leaking. He is now alleged to have indulged in electoral fraud. His nautanki and fall was foreseeable for everyone except his cronies in the media and his own party.

Barkha and Sagarika aren’t the only ones who dashed to Varanasi though. There are others from the print media too who rushed there to test the waters. There is “No Modi Wave” they all claim. Fine! One can’t help those who don’t breathe and those who are blind. The rude awakening at Varanasi has Modi’s opponents hunting for their candidate but like I wrote on December 9 the media folks are the ones who are the losers. Modi is still standing

Coming Together Over Modi

The late Christopher Hitchens did say “I became a journalist because I did not want to rely on newspapers for information”. That was before SM exploded and now you know not many rely on the MSM for news.

One of the objectives of this website is to clearly tell readers that most media celebs who pose as journalists aren’t really bright people. They are there either by accident or through their umbilical connections. In other words, they do not possess any intelligence or wisdom that you and I do not. In many cases I have found people on the SM to possess far more wisdom than these folks. It is in this context that we should see the drama that unfolded in the “Union of snakes” when Arvind Kejriwal said the whole media is paid-media, there’s a “Modi-media” nexus and he would send them to jail if he gets to power. The manner in which many of the media members reacted is quite telling. Of course, on March 15 (a day after AK made that stupid statement) the AAP spokie Sanjay Singh clarified that AK meant only four channels; TimesNow, IndiaTV, IndiaNews and ZeeNews. Clearly, AK spared most of his own sponsors and AAP supporters in the media some of who can be seen in this pic:

Among these, Punya Prasoon Bajpai was caught pimping for AAP red-panted. Vinod Mehta and Aarti Jerath are overt supporters. Rajdeep and Sagarika are “chief media sponsors” of AK and AAP. Look closely, there is someone at the top left corner of the pic who is a bit unsure but trying to squeeze into this club. Yes, that’s Barkha Dutt who was the first to dash off to Varanasi to cook up her stories on the contest there since Modi’s candidature from that seat was announced. Let’s start with Arnab Goswami and how the debate over AK’s threats played out (edited video clip: 1.02 mins)

To defend the most rotten statements by AK, who does AAP send? Another street thug called Raza Muzaffar Bhat. His conduct on the show itself says a lot about AAP’s choice of LS candidates. But what is interesting is that Arnab didn’t seem to know that this guy has a case against him for beating up a woman and ripping off her clothes. So a molester comes up on TV to tell us about riots and killers. That’s how dumb our media can get. Maybe since AAP has boycotted TimesNow AK must have thought the best way to combat the channel is to send a thug like himself. Reactions from the Divas of media, Barkha and Rajdeep, were quite predictable too:

Oh well! Had it been someone else you can imagine what Rajdeep would have said. But since it is his darling AK he says “name with evidence”. That’s a gentle caution by AK’s school teacher, sort of. And yes, Barkha treats it as a “clean chit” for herself. She says AK’s moronic statement proves she is “independent”. One of the biggest poodles in the MSM is NDTV who can turn the most adverse news for Congress into one for BJP as this shot will prove again:

The one calling Modi “incorruptible’ was one Manoharsinh Jadeja of Rajkot who is a Congress member. But then Congress’s “independent” poodle NDTV saying that would be blasphemy. So they claim Jadeja is a BJP member. It doesn’t matter to these morons that Assange or Wikileaks is not in the business of giving anyone any certificates. Content appearing in cables leaked by Wikileaks is credited to them as source and that is all. But even in resting a controversy Barkha shows you how “independent” she and NDTV really are. And don’t buy the BS that this was some honest mistake because NDTV has done this 786 times before; quite deliberately.

Of all these crooks coming together, the one whose mask is coming off a bit every single day is naturally Rajdeep Sardesai. He claimed to have provided the idea to AK and Kiran Bedi for a Tahrir-like agitation. Then he and his deputy were in a political conflict within IBN over excessive backing of AAP and being excessively critical of Modi (as Sagarika complained about some “Evil” and then lied and blamed the SM “stalking” her). Every single day the frustration grows for Rajdeep and it shows on his shows and his tweets. If anyone else had made the statement that AK made about media, Rajdeep would have drawn guns and lectured like Moses for hours. But since it is AK, he mildly seeks that AK present evidence. Discussion over! It is also important to note that while Barkha and Rajdeep play victim or claim “independent” AK or his spokie hasn’t named their channels as the ones he meant to send to jail. Why would he! After all, even a thug like AK does recognise his friends and sponsors. This would be explained by the following tweets on behalf of the thug by Rajdeep:

So both these cronies of AK feel upset that a group of prominent citizens have criticised the anarchy of AK and AAP (TOI report) and while Rajdeep claims the “masks” are falling off the little sidekick claims they are BJP sympathisers. Here are the prominent citizens whose masks are falling off as Rajdeep states:

Okay, have you heard of these names: Gen SK Sinha, Ajit Doval, MV Kamath, MJ Akbar, SL Bhyrappa, Bibek Debroy, PC Dogra and others? Anyone following news would have heard of these names or at least 3-4 of them for sure. But Rajdeep and the IBN sidekick Wagle are upset only because these citizens have directed their ire at the anarchy of AAP and AK so they bleated their angry tweets. Sometime back a group of “prominent citizens” also wrote a public opposition to Modi and TheHindu carried it. Here’s a pic:

Now compare the two letters and the names in it. In the report by The Hindu there are many names which most people haven’t even heard of but they are supposed to be “prominent”. I have heard only of Ram Puniyani from the list. But hey; when this was published Rajdeep had nothing to complain about. Why? Because these worthies were opposing Modi and were claiming Modi was a threat to India which is line with Rajdeep’s political ideology which he cleverly peddles on CNN-IBN. The entire team of IBN has been an anti-Modi gang of crooks which is why AK spared them from “jail”. But oh, if anyone writes a note critical of AAP then their masks are falling off. All I can tell Rajdeep is that his own mask had fallen off long back and every observer could see it. Now it’s his pants falling off, just as PP Bajpai was caught with his pants down. There is no place to hide for Rajdeep anymore. Can Rajdeep offer the excuse that he wasn’t aware of this letter? Not really, because The Hindu crook, N. Ram, is on his channel frequently and I’m sure the two share the gossip on politics.

Rajdeep’s former colleague Ashutosh is now an AAP member and an LS candidate. Ashutosh tweets hilarious stuff almost every day; where he was, how Modi is corrupt and what he ate. Recently a small crowd at Wazirpur also affectionately presented Ashutosh with eggs for his breakfast. I’m sure you wouldn’t have seen that video on CNN-IBN. Here’s something else you may not see on CNN-IBN captured by a Citizen Journalist (2.26 mins):

Last night (March 18), both Barkha and Sagarika were at Varanasi doing shows over a Modi Vs Kejriwal contest. The response by the public must have shown them who the people back. The anger among the media-AAPTards is because their fearless leader AK has goofed up too often and they don’t have any more defence to offer. In their long losing campaign against Narendra Modi it was Kejriwal who gave them some new hope. However, almost everyone on SM is a journalist now as the above video shows and there others who are trashing Congress ads with parodies. Nobody watches Barkha, Arnab or Rajdeep for news anymore. They keep proving they’re the lowest BAR of news media. Arnab will survive because he is not corrupt and his integrity is not tainted. I cannot say the same for the rest. People are coming together over Modi and so is the media; both for different reasons.

Win!

Reigning champion Apollo Creed is scheduled for a fight on the 200th anniversary of American Independence (1976) and his challenger withdraws with injury or illness. He seeks to make a spectacle by offering a local Philadelphia boxer a surprise title fight. Rocky Balboa is not a very brainy man. He’s the local boxing aspirant who works for the mafia loan-shark as a money-collector. As fate would have it Rocky is picked by Creed for the fight. It ends in a points-victory for Creed. Afraid the public thought the fight was a draw Creed challenges Rocky to another bout. Doctors find Rocky with head damage and his wife doesn’t want him to fight anymore. Sometime later she delivers a baby and, unfortunately, goes into a coma. The dumb Rocky reads his wife stories and does the only other thing he can; pray. He wants to be a fighter but his wife doesn’t want him to risk more brain damage. Rocky promises to be a family man and not fight anymore. Days later his wife wakes up from coma. She knows what Rocky wants in his heart and says just one word. Watch the video (0.47 mins):

WIN!

Rocky regains his spirits and finally wins. The media and some parties have been fooling people with the idea that ours is a British-type parliamentary system and not a US presidential election, therefore MPs elect the PM. That is procedurally true but not electorally. Take the Congress; except for one particular election (which got them a sympathy ride) it has always been a Chinese Gandhi who has been the PM candidate. It is just that SoniaG installed MMS as the PM. This country cannot afford puppets anymore; we have paid a heavy price for it. Real PMs must be at least elected by public vote. Other than that whether it’s AIADMK, DMK, SP, JDU, RJD, TMC, BSP or any such party, their default PM candidate is already known. Smaller outfits like SS, MNS, AAP, Akalis or BJD also have their “owner” as the default PM candidate. The dictator and “owner” of that party is automatically their PM candidate. The only two major political parties who do not have an “owner” who is a default PM candidate are BJP and CPM. In the new economic order I would choose to discount CPM playing a major role. Therefore, the only party with a national presence that does not automatically have a default PM is BJP.

It is in the above context that the rise of Narendra Modi from a party worker to BJP’s PM nominee is nothing short of phenomenal. He had to fight hard to succeed and be where he is today. It may not be easily replicated in India’s future quite soon. Remember, he was never even meant to be a CM or electoral candidate at one time. He was parachuted into Gujarat at a time of crisis after the 2001 earthquake. I cannot forget that earthquake that occurred at 8am on Republic Day 2001. The BJP govt then was slammed for poor relief work and that’s how a grassroots worker like NaMo was flown in. Since then the story has been the media and his political opponents (and some within his own party) hounding him over the 2002 riots and all other manufactured allegations. Even today a pathetic Congress couldn’t come up with anything other than this from a man who talks about “escape velocity”:

It is pretty dumb of RahulG or those who feed him these lines to once again start the 2002 song. It doesn’t occur to the man or his sycophants that it’s the hounding of Modi over the 2002 riots that actually brought him more prominence. Otherwise, he would have been just another CM as many others. It also helped that Modi gained reputation as a performer and known to be uncorruptible. It also helped that he happens to be a great orator who holds large numbers of people in thrall when he speaks. But the most important thing that also endears Modi as new hope is the pathetic lack of performance by the Congress and other parties who are still seeped in corruption, appeasement and vote-bank politics. The Johny-come-lately Arvind Kejriwal who acted like a corruption-fighter turned out as corrupt and as much a non-performer as the Congress. In fact, it is now publicly acknowledged that AK is a foot-soldier of SoniaG and nothing more.

The Congress and its jokers keep talking nonsense about Modi and the nation itself. Recently, Salman Khurshid their minister went to London and trashed our Supreme Court and Election Commission. The Congress members seem to have completely become senile. They rant against Modi but can’t motivate their own team as this report on a Google Hangout of Rahul Gandhi indicates:

It was a miserable flop with not even regular Congress members participating in the programme. Worse, the image of empty chairs at the hall where members were to have interacted with RahulG has been seen by almost everybody who tracks news and events. It is tragic. People who support their own political preferences and leaders will do so. They may support Jaya, Maya, Mamata, Mulayam, Rahul or Kejriwal as they passionately should. A political contest is bound to generate a lot of heat but there are some in this list of names who are totally unfit to be deciding the course of this nation. Most of them are Congress clones and I strongly believe for India to progress Congress must die. It was Mahatma Gandhi's dream too. The Congress has no ideology except “Gandhi family” and the same ideology has been adopted by many other parties too. Indians must refuse to be slaves to individuals and families and recognise performers and parties with internal democracy. Indians should choose leaders who have performed, who have risen from the ranks through merit and public approval. That’s where the future of a large, diverse country lies.

The Anti-Modi army in the media and assorted NGOs and corrupt individuals will continue to support the rise of the corrupt to protect their own vested interests. Some in the media and public domain that I had listed earlier in a post as in the pic below will be active again:

In the long term, all of us are dead. “Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, the future’s not ours to see”. But it is well within our hands to get rid of the corrupt ideology that the Congress has come to represent for many decades. There is a bunch with a similar ideology and there is one that stands with a different ideology. But the one I do strongly support is a “Congress Mukt Bharat”. I will back anyone who works for this. That being so, I too have only word for Narendra Modi: WIN!
