Getting Back To Our Roots

(This is a MaxiPost)

India now has been declared a “Polio-free” country. It is a fantastic achievement. We owe a small debt to Dr. Jonas Salk who created the polio vaccine. Salk could have made millions with his vaccine but he did not. He didn’t even patent it and famously said "There is no patent; could you patent the sun?" although many other reasons are cited for the vaccine not being patented. Salk was the son of poor, uneducated Jewish parents who wanted their children to get the best education and prosper. There are many good things that have come to us from the West and we should continue to borrow the best from their societies and cultures. But there are a few thousands of people who have borrowed the worst from the West and have constantly looked down up Indians as low-class citizens, particularly Hindus. These are just a few thousands but they are the worst scumbags and scumbaginis in Indian society. Some of them aren’t even Indian anymore. They come mostly from politics, the news media and also an assorted bunch of Commies who pass themselves off as “intellectuals”. Under the Congress, which has ruled India for much of the last 67 years, these people have collectively damaged the Indian soul.

The recent movie “Argo” was quite successful. It’s a true (secret) story of the rescue of a few American Embassy employees from Iran in 1979. The other story is that many were hostages for over 400 days and were released only in the last week of Jimmy Carter’s presidency. There was a failed military attempt too by Carter to rescue them. The assassination of JFK, Vietnam war, Watergate, Iran crisis all led to low self-esteem for Americans. It turned around only after Ronald Reagan took over as President. Indians have gone through a similar phase in the last 10 years and maybe even before; particularly Hindus. Unemployment, terror attacks, LOC killings, sailors kidnapped, endless rapes, massive corruption, land-grab, minority appeasement and a general lack of direction. Even in such a situation the media morons and the “Intellectual morons” (IMs) wanted Congress to win and continue in govt. What explains this slavery? Only money, perks and zero accountability! They tried everything. They lied as much as they could. If they failed to read the churning on the ground, it is generally because they have no connection with ordinary Indians. Most of these people particularly loathed Hindus, their traditions, their customs and their society in general. Which is why Modi’s win signifies something spectacular as I tweeted:

The entire force ranged against Modi harped on the same fake secularism, doles, reservations and fear-mongering. The media criminals and the IMs heaped abuses on Modi. They called him Hitler, Fascist, Butcher, Polariser and all the choicest epithets their foreign education has taught them. They celebrated when the US foolishly banned Modi. Extreme morons who were in parliament even wrote to Obama to extend the ban. They used all these abusive names without the slightest qualm on how seriously they damaged the public discourse. The list of IMs is very long but here is a glimpse of some of the samples:

The first man in the top row was emailing his students trashing the Gujarat model as if he knew a damn thing about it. The second IM in that row threatened to leave India if Modi became PM. I hope the joker does leave and settle in Papua New Guinea. The filth that passes by the name of Mani Aiyar needs no elaboration. The last one in the image is an interesting character. Yogendra Yadav, allegedly a professor and researcher, showed us what this entire IM community really is. Full of filth! His utterances during his campaign, claiming India will burn if Modi becomes PM, was out in the open.  He even became the Muslim Salim for votes. The other IMs too would have been indulging in the same filth had they joined politics. Their true colours would have shown up. Far from their dooms-day threats it was Modi who carried his campaign with far more dignity and focus. All these IMs and political parties were busy abusing Modi but he was smart chasing votes. He got them! With undying energy and spirit Modi criss-crossed the country seeking a mandate. And now they can’t stomach the fact they have been proved to be fools and proved to be so wrong in their estimates.

There is this other IM, the queen of anti-India, anti-Hindu filth, who hates anything remotely connected with India or Hindutva. She has already declared (in a Paki newspaper) dooms-day and that the poor will rot in hell now that Modi is going to be PM and BJP in power. Totalitarian? Such stupid jargons are peddled with no reason or logic. Anyone who can write two sentences in flowery English and has been thrown some awards by the West is automatically an expert on India it seems. These are the termites in our society. One of the good things about the current turn of things is that such anti-national, anti-law idiots will not go unchallenged because the monopoly of the MSM is long over. They hate the Hindu society, they hate Hindu traditions. Some like the C5M even hate Hindu festivals. How things came to such a pass has its source in our Independence. Mahatma Gandhi fought to get rid of the British but made the grave error of installing Nehru as PM who wasn’t any different from the British in his thinking. Nehru in turn found Communism to be a more attractive ideology and that became the fountainhead for all the fraudsters roaming around as “intellectuals” in our society. I call them “Foreigners dressed as Indians”.

Dr Jakob De Roover is a researcher at the India Platform, Ghent University, Belgium and best narrates how this fraudulent group of intellectuals operate. I would add that this formed the vast “establishment” nurtured by years of Nehru-Gandhi govts. Here’s an excerpt from his article in Outlook:

Sadly, the average educated European is informed exclusively by one section of Indian society: the intellectuals and journalists who call themselves ‘secular’ and ‘progressive’. Now, this group is a product of centuries of colonial education and western hegemony. They preach old colonial stories about the moral corruption of India. This explains why they are so popular among western academics and journalists: these ‘native informants’ happily reproduce what the West has always thought about India and confirm the unscientific commonplaces about ‘Hinduism’ and ‘the caste system’ that are still sold as knowledge in western universities.

Inspired by Indian secularists, western commentators depict the BJP as an evil force, which will throw India into the dark ages. Some even agree that it concerns a ‘fascist’ party, as though this term can be bandied about like a cheap epithet. In reality, the BJP is a democratic party similar to many right-of-centre parties in Europe: combining a liberal socio-economic policy with the aim of reviving traditional culture. But, as is the case with nationalist parties in Europe, this aim unfortunately takes the form of retrograde nationalist rhetoric… We need the Europeans who are fascinated when they hear that we have completely misunderstood another culture and that we have major things to learn from India. It is this Europe that should now wake up and open her eyes to the new world of the 21st century. It is this Europe that will meet India anew and treat her like the sister she is.

Frankly, our media crooks and the “intellectual morons” are far more European and Americans than those people are. Add to that concoction a white Italian woman who first entered the corridors of power and then became queen herself. And since then the entire country has been turned into one big “Gandhiland”. A “fake-Gandhiland”! Streets, roads, central places, airports, projects, govt schemes, universities, bridges – everything became Gandhi. Most of it underserved. Read “The Gandhi Septology” on how this perversion of our culture has happened and how a country became branded in one single family’s name. The rest of the great Indians are idiots? And this is what the media crooks and IMs want more of?

While screaming “secular, secular, secular” what exactly have Congress and its clones been doing? For power and the freedom for corruption they have destroyed institutions and made policies driven by religion. Muslims! Muslims! Muslims! What about Muslim this, what about Muslim that? What will happen to Muslims? Will Muslims suffer? Why should Muslims deserve special treatment anyway? Sure, give all the benefits to the poor. Nobody will grudge that. Why special policies for Muslims or Christians or any community? If at all there has to be discussion on religious lines, it is time to ask what every religious community is doing for India and not the other way around.  And they talk about “divisive” politics? Every clone of the Congress is a branch of its termite-infested decaying body. SP, NCP, INLD all of them broke away to create their own private fiefdoms. How in the world are these parties and politicians uniting anyone?

In 1984 there were around 36 political parties in India and now there around 450. If not power and private fiefdoms what do the people heading many of these new parties want? In the last ten years there has been an extraordinary growth in Christian Missionary activities that lure poor people into conversion. This is a crime against the poor and, as in Gujarat, I hope that this nonsense of conversions will be banned and end the designs of the West to “Christianise” India. And the missionaries have the audacity to predict persecution of their church (Read here). I doubt Jesus will ever stand with these haters and fear-mongers.

As against that, the govt at the Centre and some states have been destroying sites of Hindu history, taking over temple management, taking control of temple wealth. Every crony of this establishment would have no problems if the Hinduism itself is wiped out. They want to burn the very philosophy and culture that nurtured them. They accuse Hindus of communalism when it is Hindus who have historically accommodated and absorbed foreigners, refugees and welcomed alien religions. They all know that if India is still secular it is because of Hindus and not otherwise. I don’t think Hindus want a “Hindu Rashtra” as these alarmists like to scream every now and then. Nobody is demanding the majority should dictate all policies. It is not just that this “establishment” trashes Hindu culture but the Commies have even falsified our history. Murderers have been glorified and patriots have been described as terrorists. All that must change. History cannot be altered but false history must be rectified.

Tomorrow Narendra Modi will be sworn in as the Prime Minister. What bothers some political parties, the fraudsters in our media and the IMs is that even the Muslims are not buying their nonsense anymore. They are hurling more abuses at him in frustration. They are even unwilling to accept the people’s verdict. We should borrow the best from the West. The fringe elements should stop complaining about frivolous Valentine cards or Beer bars. We can learn from Brazil and we can learn from Burkina Faso but the core of India and its Hindu culture must be restored. Govt must be removed from temples and autonomous state or national bodies by Hindus should be formed to oversee the management of temples. Hindu pilgrim sites should have the most modern facilities. False history must be rectified. Some posts back I explained the difference between a “fad” and a “trend” in marketing terms. Modi is not a “fad”, he is a “trend” that will last long. His determination for a “Congress-Mukt Bharat” will be underestimated only by fools. Mere hate-mongering hasn’t succeeded in the past and will not succeed in the future.

I borrow a lot from the West and even use it on these pages. But we are children of a great civilisation that forms our roots. Our parents, forefathers and many great warriors, saints and souls have invested in us. Many have died for us. Let me borrow from the West again and quote former American President John Quincy Adams: “We ARE, who we WERE”. We should be unwilling to let hate-mongers in politics, the media and the IMs destroy that investment. The Hindu anger coupled with a general anger by all communities against the Congress and its “Sickular” clones is what has given BJP and Modi a very decisive mandate. Only the wilfully blind will fail to recognise this. We cannot hope to survive as a nation and move forward by destroying our own roots. I am sure Narendra Modi remembers it more than anyone else as he takes over as PM.

  1. The roots have been destroyed to a large extent . What we have now is westernised Hinduism passing of as traditional hinduism. The damage has been severe . The hindu joint family does not exist, the indian dress exists only in fringes, many of our languages and dialects are either extinct or will be extinct in next few decades.
Whilst i am happy that sickulars have been booted out and an opportunity made available for a nationalist to atleast bring in some objectivity, i am none too enthused by some of the recent moves of Modi and BJP. Ideally the swearing in should have happened as a low key affair in a simple ceremony around 19th/20th may and that would have sent a powerful message that the new government means business.
Secondly, years of reservations, corruption, nepotism , celebration of mediocrity has weakened most of our systems considerably ( including security) and i am concerned with the wisdom of stressing /stretching our security personnel and methods in carrying out such a needless extravaganza.
It is outright foolish to indulge in such theatrics when terrorist threats have not been neutralized.
I hope Namo does not fall into the same trap of getting a certificate of 'statesman' , 'visionary' from spineless crooks in mainstream media ( just as vajpayee, advani strived). He was voted for his, commitments in manifesto and not jingoism and show of strength.

    2. Sir, the roots are yet not destroyed. They got devoid of water, air and fertiliser by state but India's tradition could withstand 1000 years so this will also pass. Though greatest harms is done in this period of last 65 years as it is our people who were betraying us from MSM and being sold out.

The hindu joint family does exist but respect be generated now. We have to start wearing the indian dress - Saris and suits so much in vogue in females; Dhoti, Kurta to be sported by males now. Yes dialects are marginalised but lets put effort to prevent from getting extinct .

These sickulars must be finished from DNA level & not perception level only. Congress has crafted strategy to resurrect on these things many times over in past. You mentioned about swearing in- don't you feel Modi brought utterance on Neech Rajniti alluding to his low caste. It was actually paying back Congress in their own way. You need to be shrewd and chatur / clever and not only straight forward. Chandan has already responded what this swearing in would achieve. And Modiji is doing strong homework before being anointed as PM only to ward off unnecessary debate later. 7 days investment is better than months of hearburns and opportunity lost.
I have a video piece of Narendra Modi addressing Security personnnel on Vijayadashmi. He is one person who treats them as fellow Indian and not as only one of the few accouterments to VIP culture. Believe me he will do everything for them as well.
Statesman, Visionary, Jingoism... your caution is well meaning and well intention-ed. I think Modiji will not fall for such certificates but will work and only work. I am with you and love the way you seconded Ravinar. Your doubts rather apprehensions are well founded.

    3. I also fear the same. Advani fell into the same trap of becoming secular as defined by the intellectual-cooks and mainstream media and we all know the result. I really hope Modi does not fall into the same trap.

    4. @yogesh, @chandan,
my question is are the benefit pay offs by holding this event in this manner likely to be more than the risks ( security, contingency, continuity) associated with this????? Especially given the atmosphere of petty animosity, distrust, angst ??? And how prudent it is from a contingency and continuity perspective??
as the dialogue in the movie "Border" goes - 'bahaduri aur bewaqoofi main kuch to farak hai na sir!!" ( a soldier quips to sunny deol , after the later dares at the fence).

    5. "The hindu joint family does not exist, the indian dress exists only in fringes, "

These owe more to socio economic changes than to any concerted attempt to denigrate Hinduism. We have moved away from our ancestral agricultural occupations which necessitated large families and big houses to accommodate them. You can't expect everyone to live together in big cities as they once did. And even today people look after their elderly parents, who would also pass on values to their grandchildren.
People still wear their traditional clothes during festivals and family events, and yes, women wear saris to work too.

      Delete
    6. Some changes are inevitable. The joint family is one such. However, look on the bright side. The world today is moving towards hindu spirituality - Sri Sri, Baba Ramdev, Nityananda and others.

Yoga is today almost universal in its appeal. It is only a matter of time before Gurus also become respected by mainstream media and the public at large.

So while cultural changes will continue to happen, the spiritual element will help sustain the form of hinduism that is most relevant to life.

    7. @rex,@karthik,
so 'all is well' , right ? Expedient, customized hinduism is in. But then what roots are we talking about ? Language is english, dressing/make up is westernised, rituals trashed/trivialised, culture /traditions diluted , western events are celebrated, western calendar is followed, hindu ethos, value , character attributes are retrofitted - offcourse we can still consider ourselves to be hindus . Hahaha

      Delete
    8. @karthik, The mistake that most 'modern, urbane' Hindus make is of thinking there were no cities earlier and it's only British who invented cities.

  2. Bang on! For the first time Modi makes us feel that you do not have to be apologetic when you say you are a Hindu.
The fact that minorities too voted for Modi shows that they do not fear a 'Hindu' as such. It's the fear mongering media and intellectuals who have been poisoning the minds of the minorities all these years. The minorities are now slowly but surely realizing this. This is a good sign.

    1. Thank You Ravinarji, ( not the regular msm ji in the debates but real respect towards you). A while back I was suppsed to talk about my guru in our academy, I told this , and i would like to add your name too on it. "There is no other Country on this earth which if got invaded and they lost their identity and their way of life, other than Bharat, where every one invaded and still Hinduism still persisists and is a majority and is srill Hindustan, also we took all of them in, This is because of when Hinduism was at stake there were great people born to safegaurd Hinduism like Shankaracharya,Vivekananda, and so many people and said my Guru in giving us education about Kuchipudi you are also doing the same, now i would like to add your name too, please dont stop keep us informed and motivated. Thank you Ravinarji for your service to the Nation.
To add to your blog there is this jagan mohan reddy a christian whose father gave subsidy for chirstians from ap to go to jerusalem ala huj. took money from tirupathi and he died in helicopter crash, now his son wanted to go or went into Tirupati in slippers inside and the pujaris out of fear gave him VIP darshan and he did not sign the book to say I believe in Lord Balaji.
there are morons in India who ask why do you have these rules you should welcome, in US even to buy beer there is a board saying no shoes no shirt no service. so there is rule if you dont follow dont go, who asked you to enter.
As you rightly pointed out Hinsuism has become a punching bag for everything we have to give answers, i think this is too much.
I have watched all the television channels to find out in AP but no one reported but this came into spotlight becaus another actress jayasudha who converted to christianity and then converted back to Hinduism was not allowed to enter the temple and then she complained.
Even sonia was not allowed but the YSR the dead cm of AP just became a goon and let her in.
one more thing the most secular Majlis etihad e muslimeen most secular person who on arnabs show was shouting saying we will oppose him got a shock when Narendra Modi invited the crook paki pm sharrief, had to shut up.
Way to go Modiji, you are born to make all the wrongs right, if you can make atleast fifty percent of it will be a great service to the Nation and we are all waiting for it.
Ravinarji, let me add one more thing, all Indians I think post independence and post pokhran, kargil( where the nationalism was shown) this time this is more from the heart, I have seen people started donating for a new capital in Andhra, even kids getting their kidie bank and donating as fund.
npw new nationalism has awakened and as the crooks in the media did not understand the wave they will not understand the undercurrent that is going on in Indian.
Thank you Ravinarji, please dont stop. keep going.

Afterall, what our Upanishads spoke is applicable to all living people. So we don't need to prove anything to anyone to feel better about ourselves. By deliberately choking on supplies of teachers, a situation is being created to have a nation of youngsters with ambitions AND no means of fulfilling them.

This is an explosive high octane mix. The anti-Bharat brigade has been constructing this for a very long time - they know that they cannot destroy a country from outside, it has to implode from inside. The first gate keeper you mentioned has been guiding course content at NCERT for some time. Similar gate keepers & false propagandists have been pushed into key positions in Education. All setting it up for division and balkanization.

Examination of each sector yields terrible damage done. The challenges are huge and the people of Bharat need to awaken to these real challenges within us.

    1. That is pretty much what MK Gandhi's idea of secularism was: in order for you to appreciate and respect other faiths, you must be comfortable with your own. It is of course at variance with the Western - and Nhruvian - secularism which is abnegation of ALL religions, at least in the public sphere. What we have is born of the Nehruvian ideals but twisted to suit the votebank politics his descendents have chosen to practice to the detriment of all else. Under the Congress we are not even practicing the weak form ofg secularism which is "indifference" to all religions in public discourse.

  17. Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians are also minorities in India. They don't have any problems in India from the Hindu majority. How come only Muslims have all the problems in the world?? Muslims are a big misguided community and are fed fear-psychosis by parties like Congress. Muslims should try living in Israel, Myanmar, China and Srilanka! They will then know how much freedom and opportunity exists in India. India is secular only because of Hinduism which preaches loving and respecting the fellow being. All this was being taken for granted, but not any more. The decades long attacks against Hinduism and Indian dignity has only made us nationalists more forthcoming in dismantling the Congress and other sickulars.

I was called all the names commies could remember and these morons had such hatred for hindu ceremonies that one can't imagine. To the limit they will go to show off their intellectual side that one of them refused to attend the puja after her grandfather passed away. This was just one example.

  29. Very well said.
British left India in 1947. But they have taken deep roots in the minds of our own IMs.
With Modi sarkar, it is the dawn of new era, where Indians will break the mental shackles imposed by these Western Intellectuals and politicos.

  30. I feel there will be some kind of covert operations by India in Pok just like the Americans did in Abottabad. Sharif will be given a last chance to dismantle terrorsit infrastructure and hand over Hafees Sayeed and Dawood. If Sharif does not do that then it will be done by our PM. Vajpayee invited Musharaf but that did not stop him to clean Kargil of infiltrators.

Same way Rajapaksha will be requested (order politely) to make better living standards or give justice to Tamils in SL.

  31. UR Anantha Murthy's foot in the mouth comment that he will leave India forever if Modi is elected as PM has earned him two 1 way tickets to Karachi. One is sponsored by NAMO Brigade of Mangalore and the other from BJP workers from Shimoga. He now says "It was a mistake. My statement was emotionally driven". I guess he had to show his bit of loyalty for CONgress for the favors he has received. Anantha Murthy & Girish Karnad were campaigning as if being associated with BJP and being proud of your religion itself is crime. Something which the MSM has always been trying to do. I congratulate and thank Ravinar for his untiring efforts to bring the truth to the world. Media Crooks is one among very few blogs which gives a holistic & comprehensive views. Long live Media Crooks! Its been one helluva journey for Modi all the way to the PM Post. Ravinar has played his part in rightly influencing Media Crook readers.

  33. hi ravinar

this is in response to an article published on a news portal ‘Ibn-Live’ highlighting indian muslims as a different entity from rest of the indian public and being ‘very happy’ at Narendra Modi’s invitation to a Muslim country – Pakistan’s ‘PM’ – Nawaz Sharif’ for swearing-in ceremony :-

    hi all

    amazing article.

indian Muslims are happy – as if they are in some sort of captivity and the invitation has been sent to their masters who will be coming to see them – bless them & give assurances to all the indian Muslim population and will eradicate all the illiteracy – unemployment – poverty & extremism that is prevalent among them and will save them from the clutches of rest of evil indian people – I mean – simply terrific – isn’t it.

what about indian Hindus – are they shedding tears ? and what about indian Sikhs – indian Christians – indian Jains – indian Buddhists – indian Sc / St’s – indian Dalits – indian Mahadalits – indian Tribals – are they creating any roadblocks for this event ? will their pain – plight & sufferings also be addressed by him ? why don’t you talk about them – are they aliens – don’t they deserve to be discussed about as well ?

May God bless this ‘writer’ & its publishers – ‘CNN IBN’ for this wonderful work : you literally made our day – till the time you are enjoying here – we are damn sure – you will never let us live in peace – you will do our many pieces – you will shatter the social fabric of our nation – you will keep our country divided on the lines of religion – you will always help in engineering hindu – muslims massacres – you will shamelessly justify indian naxalites – separatists and dreadful muslim terrorism.

well – dear news network – keep breaking india – keep provoking muslims against hindus and keep projecting deliberately the hindus as the aggressors and muslims as their helpless victims – after all – it pays well to do all of this – isn’t it – so keep doing it – you are a true enemy – bloodsucker & traitor of our country – so three cheers – standing ovations & a big round of applause to you – we trust you – you would leave no stones unturned to destroy india completely.

    regards

this is my little take on - how someone responds when he meets a Jew - Christian or muslim person and what happens when that someone accidentally meets a 'Hindu' and ask him 'Are You Hindu' :-

  35. This write up resonates at so many levels. Coming from a background where too much was lost while transiting during partition, I grew up with no clue whatsoever about where and to what I belonged. Education in formative years effectively pulled a veil over the eyes in understanding the joke that had been played on so many families by a handful of people.

The single most effective tool in the journey back to roots of understanding has been Internet. Left to MSM and distortians, I shudder to think where India would be today. Personally, I think, starting 2006, the proverbial holes in the swiss cheese started aligning themselves and a wave of awakening amongst Indians started. This started taking shape in 2008 and intensified in 2010. The final alignment has been election 2014.
MSM and distortians have fought an information war on unsuspecting people and now it is time to return the favour. It should be done ruthlessly, yet keeping in mind sensibilities of average public in mind. What Ravinar says about 'we have borrowed many good things from west' must not be forgotten. Digestion should be complete and lasting.
In my view, first phase of struggle to reclaim India will culminate on 26 May 14 after NaMo swearing in. The next phase must start the very next day with mission450 being the central theme.

  36. At one hand there are good things, and there are bad things. Lets face it, people, the old hindu culture had good things, and quite a lot of bad things as well. My belief is that we need the best of both worlds to transform ourselves into a force recognized by all. as for "europeans" i dont care, since MOST of the europeans ive met durin my discourse believe in Mr. Modi as a man of action and nothing else.

that said, i dont even care what people think. I have two issues, quota and jobs, i want quota removed and jobs to be there. as long as these happen. i dont care what the whole universe thinks, as long as i am happy with what i get.
regarding the roots issue, i think we need hybrid roots , to sum up my experience.(yes there are good things in west culture as well.)

    1. Only Hindus have dared to accept that ills in their society and fought to rid them. The process could be slow and painful. But nevertheless, it will be cleansed. But the casualty is that new ills will seep in and will take a further painful era to eliminate them. Only when we make each of our home as Dharmic as possible, we can have a better society.

  39. Ravinar, if you want to see real appreciation of our Hindu culture, you should come and see among us NRIs in US, UK Africa etc. I have spent 45 years in America. I must say, I did not have even tenth respect for our Hindu culture while I was in India. Now not only we in our generation respect our Hindu culture, but we try and pray our hearts out to give our cultural values to next generations. This is because we are benefiting from both cultures as we have learned a lot from western culture too.

I want to study the Vedas, Upanishads and other literature of hinduism. I dont know sanskrit though, I can read hindi and english. Though there are many english translations but I fear that they might be corrupted due to translation to english or by the corrupted by the translater. Where can I find/read authentic vedas and upanishads?

While reading scriptures you may get several doubts and face apparently contradictory statements and interpretations. Hence I recommend that you should have a Guru of your choice to clarify your doubts. And that Guru should be a Sampradaya Guru. Sampradaya Guru is one who got his knowledge from another such Guru. Not a self studied Guru.

  42. I hope its not too late.

The west-funded MSM has successfully destroyed the great Joint Family culture which was the best part of Hinduism.

Now these media persons openly criticize Holi and Diwali celebrations. Numerous other festivals do not even find any mention in the prime time coverage.

We should be proud of our culture, there may be some aspects which may be outdated and needs to be corrected but Hinduism has been the most dynamically evolving religion in the History of Mankind.

A few days back after the election results, I read an article in TOI that as NaMo has been elected to power, the HMT culture will be back.
    fyi, HMT=Hindi Medium Types.

What do they mean by HMT, does Modi's development stands only for HMTs ???

Is it not a disrespect towards our National Language?

Why is it projected that Hindi speaking people are backward and English speakin are intellectual Gods?

These issues must be tackled with. As Modi has made Gujratis proud of their culture, hope he manages to do the same at a national level.

1.Modi is a strictly a Gujarat phenomenon and nobody knows him outside the state.

3.People of India are 'secular' and will never elect a divisive leader.

  50. You are just talking about the filth spread by the English Sickular media. But the amount of BS carried by the vernacular media is probably 100 times more than that of the English. And mind you, these regional media reaches the maximum people vis-a-vis national media. (We can safely assume that national media is entirely dominated by English). For e.g. if one even take a cursory look at a Kannada daily called Prajavani or its weekly Magazine Sudha, you feel like vomitting with disgust on the shit they produce. Or even the Times of India owned Vijaya Karnataka daily for that matter. Honestly, there is not much published criticism of vernacular media compared to that of National Media.

  53. Who is a Hindu..? Unfortunately, there is only a elimination definition..
Anyone from India ( or associated with India ) and is NOT a Muslim, NOT Christian, NOT Sikh, etc can be considered a Hindu.

Isn't it high time this is changed. Effort has started to define Hinduism as a way of life.

Mother of many problems is trying to borrow word Secularism into India with no equivalent in Indian language and lack of appreciation in west of truly Indian Word. Dharma.

How about anyone striving to lead a life according to Dharma makes him/her a follower of Hinduism.

Next lexicon change should be not to use word Hindu or Hinduism in political context.

  54. In the whole world, people or sickularist & communists & intelectuals, have no fear of muslim culture or western culture but funny to see so many people talking non-stop against Hinditva. Western or British sickularism developed over the fact that their majority religion, i.e. christianity, believe in conversion by any means of non-believers as it was for benefit for these poor souls. Whereas Hinduism and Hindutva believes in co-existence and accepts all religions in its fold then on what basis is Hindutva demonized? We don't even believe in conversion so why should others be scared of us? I supported Namo not for Gujarat development but for Hindutva philosophy that he talked about, the way he talked against appeasement and his strong position against religious conversions. Congress has always been against Hindus it hurt us but were ignored as the atmosphere they created made us believe them. BJP did very well strategically by pursuing Hindutva philosophy. Congress were so eager to prove BJP wrong that they started abusing their own Hindutva culture. Silent majority was feeling hurt by Congress's abuses more so because they were unwarranted. Congress & other sickularist were trying to destroy "Hindutva" to defeat BJP? But they were hitting each & every Hindu from within slowly & steadily, cell by cell, by their each abuse. Wanted to prove that Hindu is not even 1% bad as these people are projecting. Congress lost more because of this than corruption & other issues.

  55. Two basic problems with Intellectuals -

    1) Most feel shame for their Hindu roots.
    2) The Left intellectuals have ruled the roost in India. This happened since Indira Gandhi took support from Leftist in 1969-70 onward . Professor Sayid Nurul Hasan became HRD Minister between 1971-77. Left has always considered Islam as a Tool to fight western imperialism. So, Left always sides with Islam. So does Leftist intellectuals.

    3) Islam always destroys the past history of defeated nations. No history of Saudi Arabia exists. Same with any Islamic country. Where it exists, (Indonesia etc.), it is shown in very poor light. Same problem with Leftists also.

They want to show that everything blossomed during Mughal rule only, Just imagine that India only prospered for 200+ years !

British, while playing the Great Game to restrict expansion of Czarist Russia, had a pact with Islamic forces. The Islamic forces stopped the expansion of Russia - in exchange, they got the license to convert Non-Islamic groups in Kafristan, Nuristan & Checheniya - after a lot of bloodshed only. In civilized world, they want to do it silently and Leftists assist them intellectually.

  56. You rant so much about Tradition and roots, but what is that anyway, who will define what Hindu traditions is and what going back to the roots mean...who gave the authority to Modi/ BJP/ RSS to deliniate Hindu traditions...for majority of people, caste system is an affliction they are born with cursing themselves... Old Hindu traditions are golden era probably for upper caste hindus who owns property or social authority, who sucked up british and west for their English education, dining habits, crumbs, worked in MNC's and now acting as their poodles looking down Indians with thier elitist and patronage attitude..call themselves philosophers deciphering and preaching about Hinduism and its scriptures (IM's like Gurucharan Das).... Fact is these people whom you call commies are more patriotic and let people to decide for themselves their lives and way of living...people and organisations like RSS thrust their views and want to conquer and decide the lives of people with that upper caste elitist patronage mentality.. All that Hindu rhetoric is nothing but to enslave people in the name of tradition..at the end, the upper caste deep down want to be rulers and preserve their patronage and hold over society..
