Happy Birthday ModiSarkar

Lou Gerstner: “People do what you inspect, not what you expect”.  In other words – “What gets measured; gets done”. That is the golden mantra for any person who is put in charge of reviving a sick or failing company.

I have been at the helm of reviving two sick companies in my career. The last one was the most dramatic. We turned around a company with 3crs of sales and 6crs of liabilities to 24crs of sales and 6crs of profit in just 2 years. There was no magic to it. There were only 2 new products and variants. There were no new great talents added to the company because the company could hardly afford people. It simply takes systematic, methodical execution of action plans, daring to break past rules of the industry and bold, decisive leadership. The process, though, can be traumatic in some parts and that is part of managing a business. Since the PC launch, computer giant IBM was slaughtered by many small competitors during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Lou Gerstner was brought in to revive IBM in 1993.

Gerstner achieved was most thought was a tough task if not impossible because IBM was that big fat elephant. He wrote a book about the turnaround of IBM which I read in 2002 – “Who says elephants can’t dance”? That book is an inspiration for any manager who is stuck with a sick company or a sick branch. It is a marvelous story about the reengineering of IBM. It has a hilarious quote from an IBM executive about reengineering:  Reengineering is like starting a fire on your head and putting it out with a hammer”.

That is the assignment Narendra Modi was given charge of. Reviving and turning around a sick govt and economy and putting India back on rails. At the end of the corrupt Congress-UPA govt in 2014 India was in shambles, low on esteem and reputed for being among the most corrupt countries in the world. At one year of ModiSarkar the Congress and its corrupt Commie allies are showering ridicule on it. From Yechury to Commie doormats like The Hindu, they cannot see any difference. That is on expected lines. My measure of ModiSarkar is simple – Is he following the mantras of a person who is doing his job of reviving India? We shall see. This is the day ModiSarkar was sworn in last year. Here is how the Congress wants to observe the day:

The criminally corrupt Congress demonstrates why it is nothing but a brainless group of idiots whose only skill is to lick the feet of their Goddess SoniaG and her moron son RahulG. The absconding Pappu returned to India after 56 days to utter more nonsense in his long repertoire of joker-like utterances. What is the first change we see? That the PMO has been restored to the PM. Earlier we had a puppet Limp Bizkit whose only answer to questions on solutions was “I have no magic wand”. From being driven by a backseat Driverani like SoniaG the PMO now rightly holds the final word on all issues concerning the Cabinet and India. Should we count other improvements? Let’s do some. Here’s a quick checklist on some indicators by WSJ:

Inflation is down, rupee has been relatively stable, 2014-15 showed GDP growth of 7% plus, Coal and other national assets have been auctioned more sensibly and transparently, mining benefits have a greater share for states, rescue operations for Indians (and other nationals) abroad, strong impact of India on world stage. All mundane stuff; eh? That’s what corrupt Congis and some media crooks would have you believe. For the muck created by the previous govt in a decade many morons want everything solved in a year. It is like expecting a duffer like Pappu to suddenly grow brains in a week which he hasn’t managed in 44 years.

There are many more accomplishments that I can list but that is not exactly my objective. The most important as Arun Jaitley put it – from a climate of gloom, the country now looks up in optimism. Add to that the fact that we now have a govt which we don’t constantly worry about indulging in secretly scamming the country. The intentions are honest, the direction is right. The road ahead maybe different and varied but as long as the direction and signals are right, people should back a govt that will not cheat them. There is no govt in the world that is ever going to give a “golden era” to its people all of a sudden anymore and no one even expects it. All that people want is a govt to be honest, transparent, acknowledge mistakes and punish law-breakers. My other interest, of course, is – where does the corrupt MSM stand now?

Many criminal media editors who campaigned against Modi have lost steam. They only manage to make sly silly personal jibes at him and nothing more. India’s biggest queen-Presstitute has reduced herself to a fat, grotesque entity who now spends time attending parties and weddings. Lot of wine and junk food must have helped reduce her sorrows. Other Congi doormats like Rajdeep Sardesai are busy giving themselves self-certificates of neutrality. The Wheeler-Dealer crook Shekhar Gupta received an astoundingly severe slap from M. Katju:

That is the way so-called editors are being treated these days. People on SM expose their stupidity instantly. Each time the Modi-hating media crooks have tried to tar the GOI,  the facts coming out later have thrown dinosaur-eggs on the faces of all media channels and editors – like the fraudulent “Christians under attack” campaign. Even in the Nepal earthquake tragedy Nepalese showed their contempt for Indian reporters and channels for their scavenging over the dead. They will not change but people have changed on how they consume the crap our MSM produces – with truckloads of salt. Nobody takes an opinion or news item from these criminals at first instance without double checking with multiple sources. This is the greatest accomplishment by people and, to some extent, Modi’s tactics with the media. Apart from that, most are behaving like mongrels deprived of their regular crumbs on AirIndiaOne junkets. There’s no more free lunch.

The only remaining tool that Congress-Commies use to attack ModiSarkar with is the fake chant of the govt being anti-poor, anti-farmer. Even that fakery is being demolished by facts and stats by people on SM. Congress – right down from Nehru’s contempt for villagers – has a history of misleading and cheating farmers and the poor. The answer is better communication with farmers and rural India. I am happy to see a channel dedicated to farmers that will address this need:

We may have lot more to demand from ModiSarkar but I have no doubts that his govt is on the right track. That is why I dismiss all the bogus, fact-less criticism of Congress and its Commie allies and their pimps in the media. If the Congress wants to celebrate the “death anniversary” of ModiSarkar they will sink themselves further into the sludge they’re already in led by a delusional juvenile jerk. I don’t place much value on silly polls but even most polls show over 70% of people satisfied with ModiSarkar. I was shifted to sales and marketing in a crisis situation by one of my companies. I turned around that branch and since then, as I narrated, I turned around two other sick companies. I have learned a very valuable lesson in that experience that I would like to share with you.

The last company I turned around was sick but once we started raking in more profits and cash-surpluses the MD & Co kept demanding more and more cash-flow. Suddenly, the huge cash-flows were disappearing and we were facing cash-crunches. It was an inexplicable situation. We even started defaulting on bank-loans and payments to creditors. On a serious investigation I found that the MD and his family were siphoning cash from the business to invest in real estate of enormous proportion and engineering a crisis in the company that they thought employees would stand up to. Fake LCs, real estate deals, purchase of expensive properties in Mumbai and other places – that’s where all the turnaround cash-surpluses went. That is what Congress did and will do to India. I dumped that company when I learned about these misdeeds.

The lesson is – an honest ModiSarkar is one I would trust with my money and support in the years ahead. At least he won’t siphon funds from turnaround-around surpluses while keeping India on a steady path of growth and power. Can you trust Congress or some stupid Janata Pariwar similarly? In reengineering India ModiSarkar need not set its head on fire. Simple honest, transparent work will do.

Happy Birthday ModiSarkar!

Slaughtering Sardesai

Most of our senior media crooks aren’t very bright people. And I’ve said that many times before. What they are good at is speaking fluent English and being expert boot-lickers. Talk about a juvenile jerk running off for 56 days with no explanation whatsoever and they hail his return as “Revival of Rahul”. And what exactly is that revival? Talking loudly in parliament with a bundle of lies – be it Amethi food park or Land Bill or Net neutrality. Pappu is a chronic liar and also happens to be poorly educated but is the saviour for our media morons while other MPs who are sincere in their jobs are inferior. Once again, this joker (along with other Congis) has found a sudden love for farmers and their plight and went on a padyatra in Telangana. From Nehru to SoniaG and RahulG none from this clan has ever loved villagers or farmers. They just have had contempt for them and considered them no worthy of more than a few crumbs from time. S. Gurumurthy narrates Nehru’s contempt for these backward people:

Bordering on dislike if not hate for persons and things rural, long back elite India began celebrating the urban as the modern. And rural people as “backward” and prone to “violence” as Nehru wrote to Gandhiji in 1945 and as ‘semi-barbaric’ as Karl Marx commented in 1853. Jawaharlal Nehru castigated Gandhiji for the latter’s love of gram-swaraj [village republic]. He wrote to his mentor on October 9, 1945 that villages were “backward intellectually and culturally” and villagers were “narrow minded” and so “likely to be untruthful violent” This was his angry response to Gandhiji, who wrote to him four days earlier that crore of people “living in towns and palaces”  would “never be able to live in peace and harmony” and “will have to resort to violence and untruth”. Gandhiji wanted a public debate on the issue with Nehru, to which the latter replied that democratic polity of Independent India would debate the issue. But with Gandhiji gone, the debate never took place. The country went the Nehru way without a debate”.

The crony media crooks spawned by the Commie Nehru cult are no different in their contempt for ordinary people anywhere. Take Barkha Dutt for example. Her growing irrelevance is driving her insane. She no longer has free access to corridors of power and can’t broker ministerial posts (And Golgappas only at Jaitley’s secret parties). When people rip her kind of crony journalism, full of lies, fake reports and manipulated debates she claims it is “abuse” but now people on Twitter parade such liars naked through SM for their lies :

She is slowly starting to depreciate. The other guy, the street thug, is now a fully-depreciated media crook who is beginning to look more and more moronic each day with his TV crap and his strange tweets seeking outrage. Rajdeep Sardesai wanted to needle Smriti Irani over the Amethi food park and other issues that had a connection to RahulG. He wanted to use all the silly utterances of Pappu and his new-found theatrical nonsense as a challenge to Smriti and the BJP. So he interviews Smriti and what turned out can only be termed as slaughter. And he positions the tagline as Smriti-fires and #RahulWalks.

In other words he means Smriti does the talking and Pappu does the walking. Only an absolute moron like Rajdeep can even imagine Rahul ever walks his talk. It is impossible to walk any of the stupid talk of Pappu. I have never heard him making one coherent statement forget even seeking facts from Pappu. So Rajdeep’s line of questioning was so pathetic and poorly prepared that he got slapped, bruised, mauled and slaughtered by Smriti (full interview on Youtube).

RS tells Smriti that when Pappu made allegations of BJP scrapping Amethi food park the BJP indulged in “Tu tu mai mai”. And this guy calls himself a journalist! Firstly, the entire media made a huge noise about Pappu’s bogus claims. They should report what he said but also fact-check it. They’re not paid for that it seems. When the BJP brought out the fact that it was Cong govt that shut down that project in 2013 RS calls it indulging in “tu tu mai mai”. So what this thug wants his he should have all the freedom to peddle Congi lies and get paid for it but others shouldn’t point to facts. This is the same claim of Barkha. If you point out her lies and stupidity it amounts to abuse. These Congi bootlickers are surely feeling their growing irrelevance.

This absolute media moron even insinuated Smriti had used the Fabindia episode to distract from problems of the HRD ministry. Once again RS got roundly slapped. Then at one point Smriti told him that all his nonsense made “Rajdeep’s hatred for Modi evident”. No matter what, politicians usually remain a bit courteous to media pimps. But this mauling of RS was inevitable and more of these crooks will be mauled and molested (mentally) for the lies and nonsense they spew day after day. Every silly action of RahulG was being glorified as a challenge to the BJP when Rajdeep himself recently said on HToday when he mentioned Pappu to the youth during his book promotions they all burst out laughing just at the mention of his name. People aren’t fooled by the comedy king and take him only for what he is – a joker. It’s only Congi bootlickers who want to promote this “revived” joker as a challenger to BJP.

Each time Rajdeep tried to ridicule or corner Smriti she slapped him hard with facts, sarcasm or ridicule over his foolish utterances and behaviour. He talked about German being replaced as the third Indian language. Imagine such brilliant foolishness. And he rightly got slapped again with the question “When was German a third Indian language?” After the Jaitley Town Hall nonsense with Barkha, she was ranting for two days over Jaitley being slammed by the public with the tag #ShameOnArunJaitley. She refuses to acknowledge that Jaitley was being slammed because he appears frequently with a political stooge like her. A journo does his or her work and leaves it to the viewers to judge. Ranting like a victim is the sign of a fully depreciated mind that has nothing to really offer. Barkha did and so did this street thug with a sly tweet against Smriti:

Gavaskar will be remembered for his Test batting – where his one-day career is concerned he will forever be remember for his 36 not out crawl in 60 overs in the first world cup in 1975. Gayle will be remembered more for the shorter version. That is hardly a real issue for anyone. Question is – what will Rajdeep be remembered for? I believe he will be remembered as India’s most corrupt media crook, for his suppression of Cash4Votes and for his campaign against Modi with hatred and lies for a decade. I repeat; the degeneration of TV news owes a great debt to the BAR (Barkha, Arnab, Rajdeep). He made the serious mistake of thinking Smriti is a bimbo like RahulG. Whatever else about her, she is an intelligent woman with a lot of wit. She showed up Rajdeep for what he is – a fully-depreciated media pimp who doesn’t even how to conduct interviews anymore. She just mercilessly slaughtered him.

Losing The Plot

From what we had during the 10 years of corrupt Congress-UPA govt, the current one has come a long way in restoring governance at the Centre. It is nearly a year of ModiSarkar and one hasn't heard of corruption or scandals. The dramatic decline in corruption has also been acknowledged by big industries. The govt has done many significant things right and there has really been nothing to seriously criticise. What is being passed as criticism is the demand for more, greater speed in action in some areas and avoiding doing stupid things like the ITR form goof-up. Yes, govts must be strongly criticised and frequently too but what we are seeing is "orchestrated criticism".

People like SoniaG and RahulG have suddenly discovered their voices in the parliament. The comedy king first went on a spree even mouthing absolute nonsense on the Net Neutrality issue. Then the queen went on a round of hypocritical blabber about govt throttling information and RTI being blocked. This is the same woman whose govt refused to divulge even details of her many travels abroad as also that of her son. She even wants the corrupt to be punished urgently - that is like seeking a self-goal. In reality, the Opposition doesn't really have valid criticism but will keep shouting in the parliament to make sure the govt doesn't pass any bills at all.

When the "Christians under attack" fraud was being perpetrated by the Opposition and media they got hold of any Christian celebrity who was willing to attack the GOI and play victim. It's a simple trick by the media - quote only those willing to criticise and play victim and black out those saying the opposite. They seek out persons who will go with their agenda. Shahid Siddiqui once tweeted he was dropped from a debate on TimesNow because his vieews did not match that of Arnab’s agenda, which was to tar Modi on the Moradabad riots. He was told the programme was cancelled when it wasn’t. They even got Julius Ribeiro to write a “Meena Kumar oped” where he claimed he felt like a stranger in India now and was on hit list. There have been a couple of church related incidents since then but since the media-fraud got exposed they have been more circumspect. I am sure Headlines Today got Arun Shourie (AS) in the same fashion. I doubt HT even wanted to interview Shourie. It is possible that he may have volunteered to slam ModiSarkar and HT's delight must have gone through the roof.

AS is a much respected journalist, writer and politician but he is downright ordinary when it comes to diplomacy. It is something expected of a mature politician like him. And it is seriously unbecoming of him to trash his own party (Although I wonder if he is still in BJP) when a guy like him does have access to those in power. There is absolutely nothing in criticising ModiSarkar and he can do so as much as he wants. And it's also not that all of his criticism was invalid. The problem is doing an interview with a known Modi-hater like Karan The Tool (Who wanted a sudden removal of Modi so Congress could regain power in Gujarat) and even using lies to garnish the criticism. You cannot use the lies of Ribeiro and the fake minorities-under-attack nonsense and claim good intentions. It makes it abundantly evident that AS's crticism was motivated and probably comes out of a sense of frustration of being sidelined from any ministerial position.

If you look at the laundry list of his complaints there isn't really much substance except on a few issues. Much of it is mere personal opinion - Saying the govt lacks clear thinking is a very general statement. Then statements like Modi's economy policy is directionless is another mother-hood statement. If it was so, AS could have criticised the Union budget when people all around were praising it. He says Modi's foreign policy is a success but must follow up on MOUs. Does he have any evidence there is no follow up? This whole point quoted by HToday reads quite silly:

"Modi's foreign policy is a success but India has to follow up on the MoUs. Modi needs to execute policies quickly. China is a principal challenge for India. India's foreign policy is getting reoriented. Modi has to move much faster. Nobody is waiting for us. The US is already feeling impatient. Keeping Sushma Swaraj on the margins is wrong".

What exactly do these disoriented statements mean at all? If anything, the whole country acknowledges if there is one thing Modi has moved fast on it is Foreign relations. What is the US feeling impatient about? And our govt must work to satisfy their impatience? That’s a stupid statement one can expect from the C5M not someone like AS. And AS adds the govt must have clarity on Pakistan. Now what clarity does AS want? Years of attempts with Pak hasn't got India anywhere so Modi focusing on other countries of opportunity makes a lot of sense. I have found only one important message from the entire thing that TheJaggi points out:

"Modi's discomfort with empowering competent people beyond a chosen few is worrying...  Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari have strong credentials, and are competent administrators. Modi has to allow them to grow further and cultivate a higher profile in the interests of the nation".

In fact, GOI often gives an impression it's being run by a small coterie of Modi-Jaitley-Amit Shah. Modi has also given the impression of being excessively flamboyant which is not the image he had earlier - that of a tough-working, result-oriented CM. And as Jaggi says at the end of his article: "For example, why not propose an amendment to Article 30 – which guarantees minorities the right to run their own institutions – to give the exact same rights to majority-run institutions? Who can oppose this right to equal treatment under the law? Being intelligently pro-majority is better than being dragged into the usual tokenisms like offering chadders at Ajmer". Special helplines for Christians, Chaddars at Ajmer all seem to follow the same appeasement nonsense of earlier govts. ABV with a coalition govt managed social issues quite well. Modi, with a brute majority in current times, seems unwilling to address social issues, especially where Hindus are concerned. Having promised Kashmiri Pandits a return to their home-state why would we see such an agitation which wasn’t seen so often in the past?

I have written before there are two kinds of development that affect people - One that is visible and one that is experienced. Good foreign relations, terminating antiquated laws are all good things but do not directly affect people.  For instance a BJP MP complained roads in his UP town are not built despite PM Sadak Yojana funds made available. That is really a State problem but the GOI has to pressurise the state to execute too.  ModiSarkar is failing in communicating those achievements that are not visible but are being experienced. Even good achievements like reduction of power supply deficit aren’t being communicated all too well. We haven’t seen agitations in Delhi like before and even UP reportedly is experiencing better power supply:

Modi increasingly gives an impression he doesn’t listen anymore to anyone other than his small coterie. And his Delhi-Durbari Arun Jaitley organises secret dinners for media editors who have indulged in concocting fake reports against his govt and his party. From Rambo to 10-lakh suit to Luis Vuitton shawl to a documentary on his community being the latest fraud. Here’s the latest fraud by Indian Express:

Jaitley organised this secret meet and also wanted no one report it. Why? The PM also dropped in briefly at this party. These attempts to convert the anti-BJP MSM crooks to being “faithful” slaves is the most stupid thing yet by the GOI (Or Jaitley in particular, if you like). A report on this secret dinner really makes BJP and GOI look foolish. There are hundreds of fraudulent articles written with malicious intent by many media houses. Either bring a strong autonomous watch-dog or prosecute every criminal media house indulging in wanton, willful slander. No, instead the Delhi-Durbari wants to groom media editors as has been his passion through his entire career. What is the message being sent out? That there are no sane voices to listen to? People like Jaggi are strong supporters of Modi and offer very valid criticism. He also wrote a piece “Modi doesn’t need a Palanniappan Jaitely” and that should tell the PM a lot. A good cleaning up of fraudulent NGOs gets this response from the US Ambassador who exceeds his brief with such comments:

GOI must clearly assert that it will not tolerate interference in our internal affairs and not receive sermons from US Diplomats. This obviously comes over the Ford Foundation being put under scrutiny. And the Ambassador’s nonsense confirms that many criminal NGOs are indeed poodles of the US govt (in case of FF, there are many reports of CIA links). According to MHA this TOI report indicates FF has illegally funded profiteers and political parties too. If there is wrong-doing GOI should damn well kick out FF the way it has dealt with Greenpeace. Ditto for thousands of other NGOs too. Modi became PM under the weight of excessive expectations (part of it created by himself) and therefore he gets measured by those expectations. It is not as if the govt is doing badly or has not done good things. It is just that criticism is for demanding more and there is nothing wrong in that. But motivated criticism from people like Arun Shourie need not weigh heavily. But ModiSarkar is giving the impression they don’t give a damn for any voice even from those who support him.

It is important to win private victories before public victories as Stephen Covey puts in 7 Habits. I could even ask if Modi wants to be the next model for Mayur suitings like Virender Sehwag or a PM. It is disgusting; the kind of promotions being undertaken. Who is doing all this for you? Your jokers at PMO or Arun Jaitley’s durbar? Modi needs to win at home before seeking foolish victories abroad. I would rather Modi gave an interview to Dinamalar or Chitralekha or some such media in India than India-haters like TIME. The silly obsession of seeking laurels from Western-trash (from the same morons who trash Hindus and Hindu culture for no reason) is the first sign of a silly govt that has forgotten who got them there in the first place:

Also, the belief in incrementalism in many areas by the govt is also surprising; like income tax rules. There are many areas where incrementalism will not produce any great results. There is a distinct lack of courage in taking bold decisions. The media went gaga over Jaitley’s budget (for obvious reasons - they being his durbaris) but I would consider it one of the most uncreative budgets of recent times. What is obvious is that there is a serious lack of creativity in the Cabinet although most ministers are doing quite well.  For a country like India saddled with the sins of past govts it needs to show some dramatic and bold decisions.

Modi and his team need to communicate more with people. Fraudulent reports in the media must be dealt with through regular press conferences and not through silly debates in criminal media channels. The unwillingness and lack of courage to change public discourse is the biggest failure of ModiSarkar. After the recent dinner nonsense of Jaitley one very strong supporter of Modi and BJP since the party was born remarked in private: They are losing the plot or have already lost it
